Olympiada in Wijk 01 Binnenstad

The food was delicious. I had the Olympus platter, consisting of bifteki, souflaki, pork tenderloin, chicken breast, gyros, and fries. It usually comes with onion and salad, but I always order without because I don't like it. The gyros were excellent, well-grilled without being dry, and deliciously seasoned. The fries resembled traditional Flemish fries and were perfect, thankfully golden brown without the skin. The pork tenderloin was more like a pork steak, not soft or pink; I didn't notice much difference from the meat in the souflaki. The restaurant is right in the city center, so I parked in the Energiehuis parking garage. It only cost €1.30 per hour, so cheaper than on the street. Then it was a 20-minute walk. Worth repeating.

The gyros were bland and tasteless. No rice, no coleslaw. Just dry lettuce (rabbit food). There's nothing Greek about this restaurant, and the prices/children's menu are exorbitantly expensive for what you get. It's way too noisy because everyone is sitting too close together. Don't call me to eat here again.

We had high expectations for this restaurant and have been there many times in the past, but this was the last time. We paid €98 for a rather tasteless mezze appetizer; even the black olive tapenade tasted almost nothing. Our main courses were prawns, orange ouzo, and three types of fillet. The food was incredibly small, with soggy fries and overcooked meat. We had to ask for the salad, which was the same as the appetizer—just scooped from a large bucket and not Greek at all, instead of a tasty Greek salad. The service was friendly, but it took an incredibly long time to even get bread and spreads, and the main course also took ages. €98 for one appetizer and bread and spreads, two main courses, and two drinks.

The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and up for a laugh. The service was quick, and the amount of food served was more than enough.

There were five of us and we started with an appetizer: prawns, sardines, keftedakia, and kalamarakia. The latter was very tough, but when we pointed it out, we were given new ones. These were slightly better. The rest of the appetizers were delicious. For the main course, we had the ouzo platter, Olympia platter, and feletakia. They came with fries, salad, and tzatziki. Everything was delicious. For dessert, we had chocolatina, cookies, and baklava. All were very tasty. The service was very friendly.

Good Greek restaurant in Dordrecht with authentic flavors and a cozy atmosphere. The staff are welcoming, and the portions are generous. It can get a bit busy at times, but overall it’s a great place to enjoy Greek food.

I agree with many others. Cramped tables, tough meat, noisy, too-rushed service, no "Uzo" starter. A real shame. Definitely not recommended.

I haven't had such a delicious Greek meal in a long time. I hope the next time we visit, it'll be just as good. Kudos to the chef and the friendly service.

Een heel gezellig restaurant met zeer aardige bediening, net 2 mensen nieuw in de bediening die het heel goed deden en waren vriendelijk. Eten was goed en het was de laatste dag want ze gaan 3 weken dicht ivm vakantie dus we waren net optijd om te komen eten.

Nadat we vroeger daar altijd heerlijk aten leek het ons een goed idee om na onze vakantie op Kreta nog een keer grieks te eten. Schrokken ons dood vd prijzen. 29 euro voor een klein stukje mousaka met een paar droge patatjes en een kwak koolsla. Echt totaal geen waard voor je geld. Idioot hoge prijzen en slecht eten. Bediening was wel prima. Was dus gelijk de laatste keer.

Wij gingen vroeger regelmatig hier eten, was altijd goed. Afgelopen donderdag weer eens geweest, was zeer teleurstellend, vlees was op een bord gekwakt, klein bolletje tzaziki was een droge hap, klein bakje sla met uitgedroogde olijven en komkommer. Vroeger kreeg je nog gebakken aardappelen en vooraf ouzo, dat ook niet meer, dus al met al, teleurstellend. Was ook de laatste keer.

Had a nice meal at a nice place in Dordrecht. Nicely decorated inside and a nice terrace outside! Service with a smile and that is also nice. Portion of food was fine, could have been a bit more gyros for me personally... but taste of everything was fine. Not 5 stars, could have been a bit more spicy, but again it is personal, does not detract from an evening of eating here... Definitely a nice place to go...

Nice ambiance and tasty dishes on an extensive menu. There is nothing wrong with the kitchen. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the service. They paid little attention to their guests. A glass of wine that is not served is still on the bill. Of course, you can forget an order, but then it will not be on the bill. And a cappuccino without milk foam is of course not a cappuccino but just a cup of coffee with milk. Despite the fact that the coffee was clearly a failure, serving it with the mention that it was a failure does not score you any points. If you then make a comment about it, hiding that there are a lot of new staff walking around is also not done. Very unfortunate.

Have been here many times over the years but it is becoming less and less. Come to the table every 5 minutes to take a drink. Has become a money machine

Nice tent, not a tent to visit a second time. One of us had food after we had already finished eating. We said something about it, but nothing was done about it. Missed opportunity😅

Mangiare qui è stata purtroppo una scelta obbligata vista la festa del re; tutti gli altri ristoranti erano chiusi. Abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi 50 minuti per 3 dico 3 dolmadakia, 5 polpette al pomodoro e un piatto di tzatziki con 4 mini pita alla modica cifra di 69,50… Se tornerò a Dordrecht mai più mangerei qui!

Vroeger gingen we hier graag heen. Nu buiten lekker een kalamarakia gegeten, daarna naar binnen. Binnen druk, gehorig, zware etenslucht en meer vreetschuur dan gezellig tafelen. Aangezien we door de herrie al bijna niet met elkaar konden afstemmen over wat we zouden eten zijn we zonder hoofdgerecht te bestellen weg gegaan. karafje water is overigens een fles water voor veel geld. Vroeger was niet alles beter, maar dit wel, jammer..we gaan niet meer.

Ouders hadden een echt Grieks restaurant opgezet , het lijkt nu op winstbejag . Nu patatjes ( geen gefrituurde aardappeltjes), een schep kool salade ( ipv salade met tomaat en olijven)en een matige giros schotel. Tevens was de Metaxa niet warm gemaakt . Water 7,50 en geen Uzo bij binnenkomst. Dramatische kwaliteits terugval tov vroeger .

It is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and good service. What is a big disadvantage for me is that on a busy day it is one large chicken coop with an awful lot of noise where you can hardly have a normal conversation. People sit close together and there is little sound insulation.

Vriendelijke bediening, het vlees smaakte prima, maar een aantal jaren geleden was het toch echter veel beter; toen kreeg men een gratis ouzo bij aanvang, een beetje sla met feta op je bord ( of erbij). De aankleding van het bord was nu alleen vlees. Nu alleen een bakje rode/witte kool salade en wat friet. Teleurstellend.

Delicious meal for two. Mushrooms as an appetizer and 3 types of meat as a main course. Smooth and friendly service. If there is anything we could mention as a point of attention is that the fries, for our taste, were still a bit limp. But tastes differ.

Not the lowest prices but worth every cent. Operation is correct and professional. The beer lover is out of luck here, the beer list is not worth mentioning. That's a shame, it could hold nice weizens, tripels or IPAs. The sauces could get a little more attention.

Great meal. Meat very tender. Tasty sauce. Friendly service. It is remarkable that for 4p you get the same size bowl of salad and fries as for 2p. The additional containers ordered (because there were too few) were added to the bill as an extra. We complained that we did not think this was fair (especially considering the prices) and only the extra salad was deducted).

Op zaterdagavond een tafeltje gekregen voor twee. Helaas vlak naast het toilet. Het bestelde eten en drinken stond binnen no time op tafel. Ik had de gyros uit het pannetje met fetasaus en champignons. Was een beetje smaakloos maar wel voldoende qua hoeveelheid. Al met al gemiddeld.

Good Greek restaurant that is definitely recommended. The food is good, the decor is neat and the service is friendly. When leaving the business, a sign "beware of the step" would not be out of place.

This Greek restaurant is located in a beautiful old building in the old center of Dordrecht. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. The giros on my plate were very hard to eat, while my partner opted for the giros with mushrooms and sauce, so it was very tender. Cheesecake was very tasty, but the vanilla ice cream that came with it was tasteless. The prices for wine are also quite high at €5.75 per glass of demi sec white wine. Didn't get any ouzo beforehand, which was really the first time, at a Greek restaurant, and no metaxa afterwards either. We spent €95 for both a main meal and dessert, which we thought was quite pricey.

Als Dordtenaar stemmen wij maandelijks af op dit restaurant. Aan kwaliteit is er de laatste maanden behoorlijk ingeboet. Aangegeven dat het eten te wensen overlaat, erg flauw van smaak en lauw geserveerd. Een schouderophalende reactie is teleurstellend, hadden wij niet verwacht. Spijtig maar voor ons de laatste keer.

Ordered a main course for 4 people each. For me there was Sulflaki. 2 small skewers. And a big pile of Giros. A small salad bowl for 4 people. One medium fries for 4 people. The Saziki ball was appropriate. I would have said it was Giros with Sulflaki. Mini salad and mini fries. I can't comment on other dishes. I know many better Greek restaurants

Every Greek restaurant is different in design. Here you don't get ouzo when ordering. And with the 4 meals, only 1 bowl of fries and 1 bowl of salad. (Yummy) Also no scoop of rice. But, the meat gyros and souflaki were again very good, the tsaziki was also tasty.

Been regularly and food is always good and always good service. When the weather is nice, there is also a nice terrace.

I have been enjoying eating at this restaurant for years (decades). Especially on a summer day on the sunny terrace. Today we sat on the Olympiade terrace for the first time this year. Meal prices have increased significantly. I understand in these times that prices are going up. But 8 euros for half a liter of beer is really the limit for me. Insane! As far as I was concerned, this was my very last visit.

Restaurant atmosphere and service were good, but unfortunately the value for money was poor. I don't understand all the positive reviews below either, and certainly not for what you pay for it. €8 for a bottle of water is extremely high for a fine dining restaurant. You hardly pay these prices in Michelin restaurants. Furthermore, the dishes had become extremely smaller in recent years. The meatballs in tomato sauce used to be a favorite, but unfortunately they were too dry and almost without sauce. The sauce itself was very watery. The gyro meat was good, but lacked flavor and seasoning, making it very flat. The sauces with the other dishes were also not good and the portions were extremely small. We were also supposed to get a little tzatziki with the bread, but unfortunately they forgot to mention that you also had to pay €8 for this. It used to be an authentic Greek, but unfortunately the taste has been adapted to Dutch standards.

We had a delicious meal in this beautiful restaurant, good food, excellent service, but on the pricey side compared to several Greek restaurants where we have eaten before. If the price-quality ratio were more balanced, it would be worth 5 stars.

Het was gezellig druk en de sfeer was aangenaam. Ondanks de drukte kregen we zeer vlot ons eten. Het smaakte heerlijk en ook de bijgerechten waren een goede toevoeging. Personeel was vriendelijk en geduldig en totaal niet gejaagd of geïrriteerd ondanks dat t helemaal vol zat. Zal zeker nog een keer gaan!

Ondanks we niet gek zijn op de Griekse keuken, hebben we zalig gegeten vooral de zeetong sprong eruit.

Popped in on a summer’s Friday evening at 8pm m after a long day cycling. We got a y table outside which was perfect (except for the bees that appeared when the meal was served - we decided that they are attracted to the large pot plants. If they are a problem, plenty of space inside). The waitresses were young but very helpful. Main positive of this restaurant - food came very fast! (We were hungry…). Reviews of a number of other restaurants raised the problem of long waits for food. Ans places by the water were very busy…We had the “olympisch vuur “ for two and were not disappointed. Meat was tasty and cooked to perfection. Ended with a baklava and 15-year-old Metaxa. Recommended! We found the prices reasonable.
