Was at this location again in October 2025 with the family for a birthday celebration, 10 people, reserved in advance for 6 pm. We have now held the celebration there for 4 years in a row; the toilets still haven't been updated, but unfortunately that wasn't the issue this time. The spot where we were seated was bizarre, to say the least. Two of my guests are dependent on a walker, and there were four growing boys; we had made this known in advance, so we were simply stuck. After entering, we sat waiting for service. After 25 minutes, we asked if we could order something to drink. 10 minutes later, the order was taken. When that was finished, we were finally asked if we had made our choices regarding pancakes by then. By that time, we had already been inside for an hour. We made our choices known and asked to be served another drink. After 15 minutes, the first pancakes arrived—six of them, mind you—and it wasn't until almost 20 minutes later that the remaining pancakes were delivered. The whole thing really spoiled the festive mood, and it certainly didn't get any better as the evening progressed. After the pancake debacle—because that's what it was in my eyes—first only 6 people eating, otherwise it would get cold, and then the remaining 4 of the group—it was anything but sociable. On top of that, the little ones in the group started getting incredibly bored because it was all taking far too long. You can't get by with just one coloring page for such a long period. Since an ice cream had been promised to the kids, a dessert was ordered after all, and something to drink to go with it. My own enthusiasm for dessert had completely vanished by then, so I ordered a cappuccino. Apparently, this also has to come via Groningen; the ice cream was already gone by the time it was finally delivered. All in all, I was stuck inside for over 3.5 hours, paid a lot of money, lost over 250 euros, and left in a terrible state. Conclusion: no 5th celebration will take place here anymore; it was a waste of money, as well as the evening itself. A pity.

Nice for a change. Especially for the kids. But it just hurts to pay 20 euros for a pancake that doesn't fill the whole plate... Pannekoe Blond Beer is definitely worth it, and the desserts are relatively cheaper and large in terms of portions.

We were here on Saturday evening with two children. Very cozy place with delicious pancakes. Although it was quite busy, the service was excellent: friendly, fast, and very attentive. We would love to come back again.

Delicious pancakes, wide selection, fast service and unique location

We were with a large group and had made a reservation. Unfortunately, the kitchen turned out not to be up to the task of handling a large group, and while we had a tasty pancake at the table, we didn't get one at the same time. It looked a bit chaotic.

We ate here on a Friday evening and were allowed to choose our own table! We opted for outside and that was no problem, even though no one was sitting outside. Delicious crusty bread with spreads beforehand and delicious pancakes! Very friendly service! My daughter was feeling unwell and they took the time for us and helped us very well!! Applause for the staff!!!

Bad experience regarding the location. It was 3 degrees outside, and the heating inside was off, so we were seated at a table by the single-pane window. A glass of red wine normally 18 degrees Celsius was now 6 degrees Celsius, so we tried to warm it up with our hands. Otherwise, the food was decent, and the young waitresses were excellent.

I'd often passed this place on the metro and was always curious about it. I spontaneously popped in with a friend to enjoy a delicious portion of poffertjes (Dutch pancakes). Upon arrival, it seemed packed, so we offered to sit at the bar, where there were at least five empty seats. Once at the bar, my friend and I practically turned into ghosts (his name happens to be Casper, but he's not a ghost). I think we sat there for 10 to 15 minutes without being told, "I'll be with you in a minute," or "Can I pour you something?" After we also sought attention from the staff, who were also right in front of us at the bar, we were completely ignored. I can't say anything about the food, but the service was nonexistent. About ten tables seems easily manageable with three staff members...

The tastiest pancakes in the area

Great place to eat with kids. You can tell it's understaffed. The staff, all very young (under 18, in my opinion), are doing their very best despite the crowds and the shortage of people. It was packed, with children's parties on the side. Kudos to the staff, but it's also a shame they have to work under such conditions.

Not recommended for lunch; we had to wait over an hour and a half for our pancakes. There was only one waitress serving, and that wasn't easy with the restaurant nearly full.

We had a wonderful meal here with friends and their superstar, Koda! The service was friendly and excellent. Dogs are welcome, which is great. Koda is a medium-sized dog, and there was plenty of room for him to lie down.

I walked in for a pancake over an hour before closing time. But alas, they had already locked up and cleared everything away. Well, how friendly!

The pancakes are good, as are the poffertjes (small pancakes). But the place really needs some attention, and the waitresses need a knowledgeable person to teach them a bit more. They were sweet, kind, and helpful, though.

Pancakes are good, we have been there with the rotterdam pas, so we got a nice discount, so just pay what is above the price of the regular pancake. I am giving a 3 star as the service was not too good.

Despite the fact that we had reserved a quiet time, the food was not really fast on the table. The pancakes on the other hand were tasty. With the Rotterdam pass we got a good discount.

We went there for the first time last Saturday 7-6 '24. Very cozy and homely atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff and delicious food and their own blond beer is also recommended! We will definitely come back.

It took way too long to take our orders. When we got the pancake it was burnt in one place and not cooked in another. The inside was not cooked at all. I would say go somewhere else for the same money.

Pancakes had a burnt aftertaste. (Salami cheese) The familiar aftertaste is unmistakable. We understand that it is not a star restaurant but when we said something about it we were told this is it, unfortunately. Furthermore, the place is run by 'children' nice and cheap but not much comes out of it. A pancake restaurant is not haute cuisine but this is really below average. We will go to the Veluwe again, or dad will bake them himself.

Coming to eat pancakes with a group and not taking a second order is a shame. But just taking away the cutlery because you wait as staff to come by until the kitchen closes is really disrespectful. We were made a fool of. And the fact that the waitress walked away out of discomfort made it a bit sad. Tut.

The kitchen is of high quality and I'm not just talking about the pancakes. A simple salad is also delicious and can stand the test of criticism in any other restaurant. We found the desserts less, an apple pie from the freezer? And the ice cream tasted mediocre too. Not home-made I think. This reminded us of an experience a few years earlier. The main course, the service and the atmosphere are top. Cosy interior and atmosphere top!

I and my family were not treated well, because we were the only ones with tanned skin. the rest around us were white and they were treated kindly. They regularly came to them to ask if it tasted good, etc. Our food was only served after an hour and the pancakes were burnt.

Visiting Pannenkoe with friends and a 6 year old on Wednesday afternoon was a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, with perfectly prepared pancakes and a wide choice of fillings. The portions were ample, which satisfied everyone. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very cozy. The Rotterdam pass saved us 8.25 EUR per person here. The staff were friendly and helpful. Mick in particular deserves a special mention: he was informative, polite and pleasant to deal with, and Nikita showed the same welcoming and professional attitude. Thanks to the team for a great afternoon!

Easily accessible by metro, excellent pancakes, casual atmosphere and friendly service

We come here regularly but last weekend it was absolutely unprofessional. Staff responded to an elderly lady while she had been waiting for some time to pay. Then the Staff talks disrespectfully about this lady behind her back, but in such a way that we can hear everything. Scandalous! Upon arrival I was assigned a table which was otherwise ok. I asked for another place but this was not possible due to reservations. Fine. Later I am asked to pay within 10 minutes because they are getting full. I was not told this beforehand. I have never felt so unwanted and treated unkindly. Arrogant attitudes and gossip I will never come here again.

Absolutely bad service. Sat for at least 10 minutes without anyone coming to ask what I wanted to eat or drink. It wasn't busy so that wasn't the problem. Shame

Reasonable, but the same goat cheese pancake a few months ago, photos added for the disappointing difference. Difference, instead of the whole pancake with walnuts, goat cheese, parmesan and honey, there is literally a quarter of the pancake covered with it, and I asked for a decorative pancake for my 5-year-old son. I still had to ask for the decorations myself. As well as having to ask for the pencils myself. Compared to previous times it is becoming less and less. More than 50.00 euros for 2 rolls with 1 herb butter container, children's pancake with mediocre decorations, the sad goat's cheese pancake, my son's apple juice and I 2 drinks. I had a full savings card, you still have to pay 38.00 euros. It's a shame that the quality has deteriorated so much... it's also a shame that I had to work out quite a bit to swat the dozens of fat flies on the window...

The savoury pancakes were great. Really nice location and great staff. Very convenient if you’re visiting Rotterdam or The Hague.

Ate a delicious pancake which was a variation on the viral Dubai bar: "the koebai". Service could be a bit faster and more frequent, we also had to wait a long time for our food. Nothing else to complain about the pancakes!

Unfortunately my pancake was burnt and the staff did not respond.

The poffertjes were "flat" and not fully cooked. It's that we were hungry but the food was not to our liking. The pancake with bacon was tasty.

What a pity! Our favorite pancake restaurant is no longer what it used to be. The last 2 times we were there it was messy, pancakes not cooked properly, just not what they used to be. Shame! Where has Joey gone? The host and cook who had an eye for his guests. We'll look for another restaurant, I think. The young team deserves proper training!

The service is friendly and helpful. But quality is lacking; Wait staff's clothing is soiled/quite a mess inside (not tidy). The trampoline outside is also broken (it took some effort to fix it). It just lacks care and attention to the catering experience. What also doesn't really improve the atmosphere are large groups of beer drinking company drinks (not something you expect at a pancake restaurant).

Just had a pancake for lunch. With the Rotterdam Pass you get a natural one for free, but you can also get another one at a discount. Drinks and pancakes are quickly on the table, and we had a delicious meal!

Had delicious poffertjes here as a stopover during a long bike ride.

It's a shame that there isn't good play equipment outside on the terrace for the little ones to enjoy themselves. There is a broken trampoline, a broken statue of a cow and a game board. Management does not do their best to sell. The pancake with decorations is really not worth the money. I think it's quite expensive. Paving on the terrace ensures that you just wobble in your chair. I honestly think it's a shame, because something really cool can certainly be made from it. Small investment.

Own double and blond beer, daring pancakes such as chicken satay (which turns out to be a genius combination). Recommended. The tent is child-friendly, so every now and then a toddler runs past you.

We had dinner here with the family, the ants were walking over the table and on the floor, when we reported this they said yes, sometimes it is not very hygienic, they did not want to accept the birthday card, we should have reported it. We will never return to Berkel

If you want to eat a real dutch dinner, you should definitely go here! For most people not food that you would have for dinner, but in the dutch culture it is a go-to food which tastes very good. As an alternative time, lunch is also a good option.

We went for the all you can eat pancakes on a Tueaday evening. It was a fantastic deal and we made good use of it. Very attentive staff was a lovely experience.

Too bad our order took so long. And even more unfortunate that my dietary wishes were not taken into account, which I clearly stated.
