It's fine, but they really need more cooks or more pans because it takes way too long. I waited almost an hour for a pancake. The kids can play happily.

Great service! Friendly staff and very helpful. It's really nice to grab a bite to eat here after swimming lessons. The indoor playground for the kids is also huge! Everyone has a great time here!

Returned after an earlier review I wrote about the mediocre quality of the pancakes. Unfortunately, I had to conclude that they were still mediocre. This time I also tried other dishes: burger, chicken satay, fries with nuggets. Nothing to complain about here. Unfortunately, due to staff shortages, we had to wait over an hour for our order. This was compensated with a round of drinks on the house. This is a true eating and playing paradise for children. Tip for Pannekoe: stop serving pancakes and stick to the other dishes on the menu.

Bad experience – check your bill carefully! We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Not only was the food of mediocre quality and it took a very long time for our order to finally arrive, but when we got home, we saw that we had been charged an extra €40 for two pancakes and two children's drinks that we had never ordered. I tried contacting them through their social media, but apparently, they only use it for advertising and not for customer service. So far, I haven't received a single response. So, a tip for everyone: check your bill carefully before paying, otherwise you might be in for an unpleasant surprise.

I went with my family on Wednesday afternoon. The problem wasn't discussed clearly and was rudely discussed with me. I won't be coming again, which is a shame for my daughter; it was her birthday today.

Today, to celebrate the baseball season, we went to dinner with the team at De Pannenkoe. Even though some of the group arrived way too early (my mistake), it wasn't a problem. The table was still being prepared, but we were able to sit at a different table. While the staff member was cleaning the table, he also chatted with us very friendly. The food arrived quickly and at a relatively consistent pace (quite impressive considering there were 17 of us). The pancakes were delicious, and the hamburger looked great too. After dinner, the kids could burn off some energy in the indoor playground. So... Delicious food, friendly staff, clean restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

Cozy but always busy with those kids, but if that bothers you, you shouldn't go to a pancake house

Had a nice lunch with colleagues from Malaysia and were surprised by the variety of pancakes. The pancakes are good, but certainly not outstanding; personally, I found mine a bit dry. But all in all, a delicious meal at a wonderfully cozy, busy (and kid-friendly) location.

Normally, we're quite happy with Pannenkoe restaurants, but here in Krimpen, we weren't. It's a nice place with a fun indoor play area. But the pancakes were simply awful, even though we were the only guests at the time. The children's pancake was so hard you could break it... And of our three apple pancakes, two were also hard and dry, almost like cardboard. It was also a shame about the waiter's poor response to our feedback about the pancakes: "I'll pass it on to the kitchen." An apology, a free drink, or not having the pancakes included on the bill would have been more appropriate. Oh yes, upon leaving, we had to ask for the coin for the toy machine that goes with the children's pancake, instead of the staff giving it to us themselves. Not exactly hospitality either.

Super fun pancake restaurant to go to with kids

Fun for the kids, but not for a proper meal. A quick bite (cold fries) also went wrong with someone else's order that was placed with us. We did get a cash refund immediately.

This Pannenkoe branch is quite large. A plus is the indoor playground for younger children, the games they can play while waiting for their pancake (e.g., a letter hunt throughout the restaurant), and the "treasure" they can pull from a claw machine upon departure. Unfortunately, the pancake itself remains a point for improvement. It was disappointing during my first visit a few years ago, and unfortunately, it was still disappointing during my recent return visit. It's a rather dry meal. But the children don't complain and seem to have a great time.

I think it would be quite fun for a children's party. You can get a package for a reasonable price. Children can also play in the play corner. We came because of the Rotterdam Pass offer: a free plain pancake. It was great that it was free, but what was truly awful? Tough and definitely not fresh from the stove. Maybe baked in the morning and reheated? I have no idea. And if they do show up baked, maybe they should check the recipe. It was fun with my niece, but once was enough.

Fun place to go with kids. They will definitely be entertained. A fun location and parking is also easy and free.

I ordered a pancake with a frikandel special with onions, which was quite tasty, but the edges were a bit hard and the dough in the middle felt undercooked. For €17.50, I expect a top-notch pancake. This pancake I received shouldn't have cost more than €10. Another thing about the flies that were constantly feeding around us and had to be shooed away several times because otherwise, they would have just been sitting on our food. The furniture could use a freshening up (some chairs and tables have some damage, but it's not very noticeable if you don't look closely). I had powdered sugar on the floor for an hour and it wasn't cleaned up immediately. I could say much more, but I'll leave it at that. I wouldn't eat here again anytime soon, as the price-quality ratio isn't very good at this restaurant.

After 45 minutes, still no appetizer and no service. Then we got the appetizer and almost immediately the main course. A similar experience a year ago, unfortunately, no improvement. On July 25th, we were invited for a pancake. Nothing improved, if anything, worse. The waiters came to take our drinks orders with a stack of plates from another table... No customer service whatsoever.

Cozy pancake restaurant. There were eight of us, but we only got four pancakes for four. The staff responded quickly when we asked where the remaining four were. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Unfriendly staff. Unfortunately, I had to give one star. The staff asked us if we'd already ordered and if we wanted anything else, while he then saw it on his phone. Yes, we've been waiting for our order for an hour and a half, even though only six tables are occupied.

Just been there, with my colleagues. There were 2 colleagues and myself who had ordered poffertjes, unfortunately the largest portion. They were inedible, a lump of flour. They were much too thick and therefore not really cooked. Such a waste of money.

Updated 11/5/2025 Ate here again today for Mother's Day. Extremely friendly boy who served us. Nice spot on the terrace when the weather is nice. Gone from 2 to 3 stars. We were with a group, yet you expect the dish to be served at the same time. New on the menu are waffles, but they mainly resembled those from the supermarket and certainly did not come straight from the iron. It's a pity that on such a day all the strawberries are gone at 5 p.m. (but a small thing). Good pancakes, but not enough staff. Taking drinks went smoothly, but not delivering them. Then a long wait to receive and serve the dishes. Two courses in 2 hours with children is simply too long. Then off to bed with the stress of choosing gifts.

Not exactly fantastic. Overpriced for what you get in return. Positive: A beautiful indoor playground and nice cow facility. The children had fun, including the pancakes with their own decorations. The goat cheese salad was good. Negative: The pancakes had little taste, were not well done and when they got home, everyone who had a pancake had a stomach ache and diarrhea. Unfortunately, the service was also inexperienced and not very interested. Drinks were taken quickly, then we were completely ignored even though it wasn't busy. A shame, because the concept is good.

Food and service as you would expect from a panko, no crazy surprises, fine. Nice children's menu with cuddly toy, Doekoe and an ice cream cup. Strangely enough, an apple juice is more expensive than a beer, so the choice is quickly made what to order for your child. Furthermore, the heating can be turned down a few degrees unless you don't mind being in your swimming trunks.

Food is mediocre and the staff is not very interested. I still hear the manager say to an employee what are you doing? Why don't you serve drinks to the guests? But what I really don't like is that the children's play area is really dirty. Everything is covered in dust and crumbs. Judging by the amount of dust between all the seams and edges, it is clear that cleaning is not done here often. You should let your child play in that...

We had a delicious meal! Even the chocolate sauce over the dame blanche was heated! Great service! It was very busy there, it took some getting used to!

We had made a reservation for 4:00 PM. We were put at a long table that we had to share with other families. Before we could even order a drink, we were told that we really had to be gone at 6 p.m. Then the table was reserved. I would have preferred to leave immediately, but my nephew really likes pancakes. That we stayed. It didn't get any better. Behind us the staff was taking a break at the table. We heard them complaining about the guests and how they could whine like that. They told us not to make things difficult because that was just the way the situation was. Too bad, it was my first time shrinking and I think it will be my last. I would never recommend this tent to anyone.

This place is a very child friendly pancake restaurant. Had dinner here with my family today and the kids enjoyed it.

The food is fine, but the screaming children make it not really recommended if you want to eat quietly.

A children's party was held on Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with 15 children and 10 adults. Even though they had quite a few lunch guests, everything was neatly arranged and we didn't have to wait long for anything. The kids (and parents) enjoyed the pancakes and the separate "play area" is ideal!

Very friendly service, it is a large restaurant where obviously many children are therefore very noisy. Pancakes were mediocre, not fully cooked in the middle and the bacon on top was almost burnt. Not a second time for us.

Had dinner here tonight with 4 people, but in our opinion the savory pancakes are not recommended. The bottom of the cheese, bacon and onion pancake was black. The second time it was better, but the cheese here is simply hard baked, this is passed on to the kitchen and they say that it is time pressure and is just good... In the end I got some discount on the pancake. Prices are high. Play area for children was very nice and the boy who served did this nicely!!

First time, poppers that were seriously dirty, edges with cheese flavor... after my husband had the pancake, it took a long time before we got the food. Lots of noise and lots of cows everywhere. Certainly the only time for us.

Had lunch here at lunch, at a table outside along the water. The road is close but you hardly hear it. Farmer's omelette was good and the pancake a bit thin but okay. Prices are skyrocketing everywhere, and so too here.

An hour after ordering, finally something on the table, I couldn't eat those pancakes, they looked like board cardboard, never come here again.

Nice place to eat with a large group. Pancakes were tasty, gluten-free pancake was also fine. Small problem with serving was resolved immediately without any problems, service was very friendly. Obviously a fantastic place for children, who could enjoy the indoor playground.

Very nice restaurant, completely aimed at people WITH children. Large indoor playground with game room. Pancakes, salads and fries with frikadel were well cooked and tasty. Friendly and courteous staff, not pushy. Finally, the children received a coin, which they could exchange at a grab machine, which they thought was fantastic.

Don't eat a vegan pancake here. This one was not tasty. When this was indicated, the response was: yes, because it is vegan batter. If you can't make vegan pancakes, don't put them on the menu! Nice play area for children and the other pancakes were fine.

Good food and more than just pancakes

We had eaten the ice cream at the panko. We had birthday cards for the Kids that turned out to be no longer valid with very small print so they are only valid for a month. Tables sticking together are extremely unhygienic. No dry wipes to be seen in the toilet. Most of the waitresses are Gothic and don't know where to be, also very sago and many young, uneducated people. Not recommended!! Self-experienced success.

Good food, but on the expensive side. Too noisy, so I ignore the children's noise. The acoustics are just not very good.

We were a group of 15 people. Had to wait almost 1.5 hours for our food. In the end half was served, the rest we had to wait another 20 minutes. Pancakes were not really warm. When paying we were told that they would take care of it internally, which is helpful with hungry children... Even if they had just given the children an ice cream when they left, it would have made up for a lot for them...

Ordered something before 8 p.m., but half an hour later they only came to say that the kitchen closed at 8 p.m. Not really smart.... They just sit there looking away.

De pannekoe is a real place to eat with your children! It is therefore very busy with children playing, which is very nice! The food was generally fine. The pancakes were on the expensive side and not very filling. That's why some decided to go for the hamburger. The service was not very good this Friday evening. The empty glasses were not taken away and after the first time we were no longer asked if we wanted something to drink. At the end we were left with a table full of empty glasses and plates and little room left on the table for our dessert. The service could really be a lot better, but it was very busy that evening.

There was no syrup at our table and even though there are many staff present, they hardly come by. The parking lot is nice and the indoor play area is also well thought out. But don't think we'll be back here.

Today we were going to eat here, but when we got inside it turned out to be very cold. The outside door was open on the hook, no idea why because it was 10 degrees outside. After we sat for a while a girl came to ask if we wanted something to drink. I asked for tomato juice as it was on the menu but apparently it was gone. Also requested bread with spreads. After 20 minutes we asked where the bread was... it had been taken to the wrong table... we were now so fed up with it that we paid for the drinks and left for the Mac. Worthless place where a few teenage girls were running the place. must run without supervision. Never going here again.

Relaxed evening with the family, unfortunately the Tony Chocolonely was missing in the waffle and an error was made in the bill, which resulted in too much being paid, but that was neatly corrected. And also for the older children among us, the special beer menu is certainly something to do.

Pancake house for families with children. You see children running around and screaming everywhere. An indoor playground. You have to love it, we don't. We reserved a table at half past six and then waited over an hour for our pancake. Not even a drink is offered to ease the pain of waiting so long. The pancake was very tasty, but the accompanying bill was really overpriced. Almost 50 euros for 2 pancakes and 3 drinks. Really scandalous. We left quickly and will never come here again.

We were there during spring break. It was a rainy day. Grandchildren: 2 and 4 years. There is an indoor playground. Still exciting for the youngest, so supervision was necessary. There is a corner in the play area where you can have a drink. The restaurant is located in the room next door. There is also a play corner for the little ones. Nice menu. Very friendly staff. It was full. Reservations are recommended. Worth repeating for us.

After 25(!) minutes the food arrived, pancakes almost cold, 1 du quattro without apple, hamburger with sauce while asked for without. Grabbing a present was also not a success, the machine was so empty that nothing could be taken, coins were not taken back at first. After 20 minutes of trying, another employee fortunately allowed a present to be selected.
