Delicious food with quick service despite the crowds!

We mochten bij binnenkomst niet zelf kiezen waar we wilden zitten. We mochten alleen aan tafeltje voor 2 personen zitten omdat we idd met zijn tweetjes waren. Want er mochten maar eens grotere groepen langskomen! Wij vonden dit dus niet gastvrij en eerlijk gezegd heb ik dit nog nooit ergens meegemaakt. Wij hebben ervoor gekozen om te vertrekken. We hadden lekker uitgebreid willen lunchen. Dus zijn we dat op een ander gaan doen waar we wel zelf mochten kiezen waar we wilden zitten. Dus ons zie je daar niet meer.

There and not here! When we entered we were asked how many people. Two, well then you can join the long table with others, between others so that you don't have much space to sit, no space for the bags with purchases and little privacy. I asked why we weren't allowed to sit at a table for four but that was intended for more people. I asked why I wasn't allowed to sit where I wanted and got the answer 'there and nowhere else'. Well, we had the delicious lunch somewhere else where I could sit where I wanted. Inhospitable and not flexible.

It's not like it used to be here anymore. This was the last time here. Staff is quite dull, seems annoyed that you are there. The sandwich seemed to have barely been under the grill and when we went upstairs to play for a while and came back, the sandwich had already been cleared away. Strange because there was still half on the plate. When I said that all I got was an “oh sorry”. I no longer recommend this place.

Large and well-kept place, unattentive service, absence of an English menu! Recommended for a quick break but without art or part. Prices a little high compared to the quality.

2020 Reasonable drinks prices, mediocre snacks for the price. Bland sausage rolls, for the price you expect more. Calling something XL, while it is just a normal size, was actually also a deception. Bitterballen weren't special either. 2024 Nothing has changed, but this time the service was noticeably disappointing.

Nice lunch and a very cozy restaurant. Delicious toast and 1 p.m. cappuccino is tasty but could be served a little warmer.

Echt waardeloos! Ik bestelde gemberthee en kreeg voor €3,80 weliswaar warm water met 4 plakjes gember ter grootte van een muntje van 5 cent. Mijn man had muntthee waarschijnlijk net geplukt want het zand zat er nog in. De appeltaart was nat en koud, nog half bevroren. De kersenvlaai was nog treuriger. Bij de eerste hap was duidelijk dat dit zeker niet vers en eveneens uit de vriezer kwam. Bij navraag aan de bediening zou dit niet het geval zijn. Echter dit verschil proef je wel. Er kon geen compensatie op de rekening gedaan worden omdat ik er al een hap van had gegeten. Ik mocht ter compensatie en gratis drankje kiezen maar dat was ook geen beloning gezien mijn kopje “zandthee/ gemberwater. Kortom ik moest €17,80 afrekenen en kom hier dus nooit meer terug. Ik begrijp dat dingen soms niet helemaal goed gaan maar ben dan eerlijk en verleen een service als er klachten zijn. Een mooi verdienmodel om van je oude meuk af te komen.

Recent lunch gehad.op zich redelijk. Door groote van restaurant komt het wat kil over. Meest verbaasd waren wij over het feit dat in de open keuken een personeelslid geruime tijd op de werkbank ging zitten waar later voedsel werd bereid! Vanuit verschillende invalshoeken onacceptabel.

Went today to have a drink and something to eat with 2 people. What an absolute deception. Once a fantastic concept, it is now a shadow of what it once was. Service very unfriendly, I and my group were harshly asked to stay away from the benches in order to allow them to be used by large groups (the tent was almost empty, I don't think it's strange). After this we selected a table where a rude employee asked us to leave again. We didn't want to do that anymore, because we had already been sent away once. We were allowed to sit there, but then there was the risk that we would have to leave with our food and drinks. Ridiculous behavior from a business that shamelessly abuses its monopoly in this place. Do you hate your money and want to be treated poorly? Ketelhuys is your place! Doing! Look for quality! Don't look here! And then we're not even talking about that whole lot of money you have to take with you for mediocre soup kitchen food. I liked the food! We had a toasted kettle house and 2 croquettes. There was nothing to complain about. But I didn't think it was completely clean. Crumbs on the table and chairs.

Been here before and the service remains bad. It takes a long time before they even ask if you want something to drink, you wait a long time for the food and drinks, the food isn't even tasty and if you have a complaint they are unfriendly. Prima locatie, heeft op het oog potentie. Jammer dat de enige vegan optie een lauwe pannenkoek is. En echt zo moeilijk is het niet om bijvoorbeeld een avocado sandwich te maken of een vegan hamburger (sligro en junbo om de hoek) Voor 4 personen mocht ik 85 euro afrekenen voor een simpele lunch. En dat Is oké voor mij als het eten lekker is. Maar ja die pannenkoek…..

Nice tent with potential, we regularly come here with our little one. What is a shame is that the staff consistently fails to notice you on the terrace. It usually takes more than 20 minutes before you can order something (after you finally wave someone over). A missed opportunity not to train the staff better on this. The (non-traditional Brabant) sausage roll was also a disappointment today. I don't think there will be a next time for us.

Eens maar nooit meer!!! Tosti kaas besteld. Ten eerste kreeg ik een tosti ham, ik dacht ok, ik eet het wel op. Maar het was niet te eten, de kaas was opgedroogd, een elastiekje is nog beter weg te krijgen.. hier een melding van gemaakt. Ik kreeg een drankje aangeboden maar had net m’n tweede drankje staan.. Ik had honger ipv dorst. Verder deden ze er niets mee.. Het meisje van de bediening was aardig. Maar hier kom ik nooit meer terug.. met honger weer weg gegaan..

Op een onvriendelijke manier gevraagd of we een andere tafel wilde uitkiezen. We waren met z'n 2en en wilden op de zachte hoekbank plaatsnemen. Wij zijn klant mevrouw..

Spontaan bedacht om te gaan lunchen. Het was mooi weer dus druk op het terras. Personeel liep langs maar keken niet. Uiteindelijk kwam er iemand. Het was druk zei deze maar dat we een uur moesten wachten op ons eten was toch wel erg lang. Ik had de kroketten met brood maar ik vind €10,50 voor 2 normale boterhammen met kroketten wel duur. Daar was nog wel een klein hoopje rauwkost bij. Met afrekenen duurde het ook al lang. Steeds werd gezegd dat er een andere collega zou komen. Het is allemaal niet effecient en zodoende valt het allemaal tegen.

We were not allowed to sit there and they were not served, even when we said we would come and get it ourselves. Prices are high. 6 bitterballen for 7.90. Beer prices cleverly masked by offering small and large glasses ... large was the normal and you now pay considerably more for this. You clearly pay more for the location here than the rest, as there is no other dining option for shoppers

searched for poffertjes on Google and this restaurant came up at the top. Once there, there were no poffertjes. My mistake for not calling first, but I think it's false advertising. (edit: lowered score since the restaurant is still indicated by Google as poffertjes and the owner says that is not true)

For an eatery it is just very dirty.

I ordered the 'Het Ketelhuis' sandwich and Jesus, it was fantastic!!! I have never, by far, eaten such a delicious sandwich!! Must say the pastries/cakes also look very appetizing. But yes, we are closer to Belgium here... Then the quality of the food and beer improves noticeably...

Prima plek voor de lunch. Goede prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding en vriendelijk personeel. Het terras is ruim waardoor je lekker buiten kan zitten.
