WARNING, this is a total scam. There are no prices displayed, and they'll rip you off. We paid €39.50 for two coffees, a cheesecake, and a waffle. Do not go there under any circumstances!!

WE WERE SCAMMED! COUNTERFEIT BILL!! There are many businesses like this around, buy your pancakes somewhere else! The waffles were supposed to be €7, but since it was takeaway, they charged us €15 each. It was our mistake not to refuse from the start... They tasted stale, I don't know how long they'd been stored... The batter was hard and the custard was awful. The worst part is that we paid with a €50 bill and they only gave us €20 back. When we tried to buy something at another place, they scanned the bill and told us it was counterfeit, which was VERY obvious, but since we were foreigners, we didn't notice... There are many businesses like this around, buy your pancakes somewhere else!

Truly absurd! We paid €47 for two rock-hard waffles and a stroopwaffle!!!! The prices aren't displayed, so they can make up whatever they want when it's time to pay. The food wasn't even worth a third of the price, and the place is dirty and completely neglected. Avoid it; a few meters away you can find waffles of a completely different quality for only €6.50!

Ask about the price before you buy (especially Gulf ones). In the end, they charge around 20 euros for something that isn’t worth it and the food isn’t good, to be honest. Most people complain about them in the comments.

At the time I visited, the staff used tricks for foreigners into paying extra for extra toppings at 4 or 5€ extra each... 3 tiny pieces of old kiwi counts as 1 topping . I don't know if they still do it, but shame on the brand. Exploitative.

Tried to scam us with a portion of Churros for 16 Euros. After repeatedly asking if they honestly mumbled a price of 16, and not 6 Euros, they replied in a way that quite openly revealed they knew they are just taking out tourists. Avoid this place!

A rip-off, a tourist trap. They should close this place down. Each topping costs €3.50. I got a stroopwafel with Nutella and it cost me €13.50. I thought it was €3.50 per stroopwafel and €0.50 per topping, but it wasn't. €10 for a stroopwafel, which is nothing special; the only thing is that it has caramel inside, which I don't even like. The guy who served us didn't make an effort to understand English, terrible service. I told him I also wanted iced tea, and since he didn't understand the word "ice," he ignored me. Aside from paying that much, the food is of quite low quality. The food there isn't freshly made; they have it made and they add that plus the topping of your choice. Although they look good in the photo, they're not that good, much less for what you pay. All the reviews for this place are bad, and for good reason. We made the mistake of not looking at them before entering. We complained, and the man said it was normal because it had caramel inside. Anyway, he didn't care. We looked around the area, and it's true that stroopwafles are more expensive in this area than in the rest of Amsterdam, but not that much. They can cost you €6 at most, so don't trust these places where they'll make you look like a tourist and overcharge you.

An experience to be avoided at all costs. I paid €15 with prices not displayed and a POS terminal facing away from the customer so they wouldn't see the amount, and was then surprised by the price... for a stroopwafel freshly reheated in the microwave, dry and tasteless... a real rip-off. Hygiene-wise, catastrophic: a cat wandering around overlooking the room, dirty tables, nothing clean. The salesperson is unpleasant, not at all welcoming, and doesn't hesitate to get angry and insult customers who dare to leave after seeing the exorbitant prices (around fifty euros for a few items!). Honestly, move on; there are much better options elsewhere.

I'm not giving it 0 stars because it's not worth it. The waffles are eye-catching at first glance, and that's what they're doing. They don't display prices, and you never think they're going to charge you €15 for one. You get the shock when you already have it in your hand and they give you the receipt after you've paid by card! On top of that, they're reheated and disgusting; they're not worth a dime. I feel ripped off, cheated, and deceived. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!

It's a scam. We paid 15 euros for a cold waffle with cream and strawberries on top. The bathroom wasn't clean, and the guy who served us didn't speak much English. This place should be closed down immediately.

Unfortunately, I unknowingly ordered a small package of curros here... Please DON'T do that! The package costs €9, which isn't stated anywhere and isn't worth a cent. The oil is rancid, the curros aren't cooked thoroughly, and they end up with powdered sugar... simply horrible... Best regards

IT’S A TOTAL SCAM we payed 30 euros for two eclairs and one waffle. And the eclairs turned out expired!!! The manager said they cannot do refunds because of “old payment system”. Terrible service, terrible food. If I could put 0 stars for everything, I’d do that

I don't mean to be rude, but I felt ripped off: I bought a waffle, and not only was it incredibly expensive, but with all due respect to food, it tasted like: old! It had been stored for days! The place looks great, but it's just an appearance. It was a real shame; I couldn't even finish it. Terribly inedible.

I kept waiting, at a certain point we asked them how our churros were, they looked at me, and asked me what do you want? Just as we were deciding, we got a strange look. When we tried to order a banana milkshake (which was listed on the menu), he said he didn't have it. He mentioned other flavors that weren't on the menu. We chose a strawberry milkshake and a mango milkshake. Before we knew it, they were ready, and we hadn't even heard a blender running, just cabinets opening. These were small milkshakes for which we paid €15. The strawberry milkshake didn't taste like a regular strawberry milkshake. The mango one contained a lump of powder with an intense mango flavor—just instant powder. It also contained small, black seeds that aren't found in mangoes. While we were finishing our drink, a customer we suspected was trans came in. The kitchen staff laughed at this person after they came to check on us. The cashier also laughed in their faces, covering their mouth with their hand to try and hide it. The employees were still chatting among themselves in Arabic, which the customer apparently understood, and certainly didn't appreciate it, so he left the store. The restroom was also extremely dirty and unsanitary. It was also terribly expensive (18 euros for a cup with strawberries and a little chocolate sauce). Definitely not recommended!

This establishment should be flagged to the authorities for the damage it's doing to tourism in Amsterdam. It is nothing short of a scam. Out of the three overpriced waffles we ordered—each costing an absurd amount—not one was even remotely edible. The texture was rubbery and artificial, almost plastic-like, and completely unfit for consumption. We were charged nearly €50 for what can only be described as a disgraceful attempt at food. On top of that, the staff was incredibly rude, dismissive, and seemed annoyed at having to serve anyone at all—making the experience even worse than the food itself, which is saying something. Rude staff, we sat down to eat a dessert and they put on the music of their homeland and sang. Their sweet "garbage" is simply stale and overpriced. My my I just love getting up-charged after seeing a different price on the screen that was quickly turned off after I ordered. We went there in evening. they charged €42 for two churros with nutella. We only ask for one with sauce and the other without sauce but got two with sauce . We got oasis drink and latte in small cup. The staff were not very friendly. The churros were stale we were barely able to eat any.

Fraud, we were in Amsterdam and we went to this store by chance. They charged us 15 euros for a Waffle, I felt cheated, since they didn't list the price and when I saw the receipt for what they had charged me, the seller was no longer there. He would even be ashamed, since he had to charge and run into the premises. If you want a typical waffle, go to the local market located to the south at one of the stops on Metro Line 52. The waffle is freshly made and costs 4 euros with Nutella.
