Unbelievable!! These pizzas are so ridiculously delicious. A wonderfully light, flavorful "leopard" crust. Super flavorful toppings. You won't find better pizzas than these in the Netherlands.

I had a margherita and I was quite disappointed :( The dough was good but the sauce didn't have much flavour and the mozzarella was heavy

Unfortunately, there were no tables available without a reservation - but the Margherita pizza "take away" was absolutely delicious!😋

I generally don’t like pizza cos I usually can’t eat the whole pizza on my own. But came here at the recommendation of MULTIPLE friends who said this place is really good… AND IT IS. Best pizza I ever had in my life. Also had the sticky pudding, super good as well. 10/10 would recommend. So far this is the best restaurant in the Netherlands for me, I’m not even exaggerating. It’s REALLY good. And because of that, you have to book way in advance. My friend and I booked 1 month before to get the most suitable date and timing for both of us. It’s 100% worth it. Update: third time coming and added more photos.

Truly delicious pizza – top-notch in taste and made with lots of love! The service was super friendly and attentive, making you feel at home immediately. The small restaurant has a cozy, charming ambiance. On warm days, it can get a bit hot inside... The place is quite small, so it's best to make a reservation early. It's only open Wednesday to Sunday – keep this in mind. The location, right near Haarlem train station, is very convenient. The tiramisu and pizza were both real highlights – highly recommended and definitely worth the money. We'd love to come back!

Had the truffle mushrooms and guanciale, really good, probably the best Neapolitan-style pizza I’ve had in a while. The dough stood out the most for me, soft but still had a nice bite. The space has a cozy vibe, and there were a few art pieces hanging around that looked like they might be for sale. Not totally sure, but a nice touch either way. Only downside: the wait. I ended up waiting almost an hour for the pizza. I didn’t mind too much, and I get that places get busy, but it would be great if they could speed things up a bit. If you go and see a lot of people already eating, I’d suggest grabbing a starter while you wait. Definitely worth checking out, just plan around the pacing.

Piccolo is one of the best pizza restaurants I've ever been to. Their pizza is also recognized as one of the only places in the Netherlands to get authentic Italian pizza, and I highly recommend the standard margarita. However, it's often busy and difficult to get a table for a large group without a reservation, which can also make it a bit noisy inside. They don't offer soft drinks, which can make choosing a drink a bit more difficult.

Hands down the best pizza I ever had. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The dessert was awesome. Perfect evening. Can’t wait for next time.

Next to Pizzicotto, the absolute best place for pizza in Haarlem (in Neapolitan style). Plus points also for the amazing cannoli. Only downside? Almost no room for spontaneity, for the table has to be booked one to two weeks in advance (with the anxiety of having to check the website). Other than that, if you want Neapolitan style pizza in Haarlem, or a simply gourmet special pizza, then go here! *The scissors are the best way to cut this soft dough, I love them!

The pizza is really okay, but cannot be seriously compared to the pizza you get in most places in Italy. Pretty good for the Netherlands though. Perhaps my expectations were too high after reading all the reviews (about the best pizza in the NL), hence some disappointment.

Best pizza experience in the Netherlands

we had a very nice time at the restaurant, the seating could have been better but overall nice. I dont know the reason of such a waitinng list online, i was too in the waiting list and luckily my turn came up. to our surprise many. tables were vacant for the entire 1,5 hours we were there. I wonder why they have the waiting list.

I am vegan and on the menu there is a vegan pizza option. That was the saddest and most disappointing pizza I had in a long time. There were less than 10 pieces of veggies on top, despite asking for extra toppings. I won't go back soon for sure.

This place is popular! We were too late to get a reservation so we showed up when they opened and we were graciously invited in. There is not much to say other than our pizzas were nothing short of exceptional! If you want a truly authentic Neapolitan pizza with a crispy edge over a soft and chewy inside, then this is your place. We loved every bite! The staff was very kind and welcoming. We highly recommend Piccolo Forno.

Reservations are hard to get, but there is a reason for it! My god, absolutely delicious pizza! The best in NL. Whenever someone is visiting Haarlem, I always make a point to take them here. You know the chef puts his heart and knowledge in the dough, and the service is equally great!!! Highly recommend!!

We have lived in Haarlem for a few months and finally stumbled upon Piccolo Forno, and we are THRILLED to have a new favourite restaurant! 10/10 pizza with fresh ingredients, ample portions, a flavourful fermented dough for the crust and a superb homemade tiramisu for dessert. Athena ambiance and service are cozy and friendly. We will be back as often as possible.

I have entered this place, everything was booked, while many people were finishing the food. I asked them for a pizza for a takeaway, the lady told me they can’t to do this because the kitchen needs a half an hour. For a pizza? Seriously?

Perfect Neapolitan pizza! It was a 12/10 and absolutely delicious. The staff are incredibly friendly and happily pass special requests to the kitchen. The prices are very fair for the quality delivered. I recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant was quite busy!

Delicious pizza and great atmosphere! I absolutely loved pumpkin pizza with mushrooms. Tiramisu was delicious too. Rating it 4-stars cause we didn’t know that after ordering starter, your pizza will be made much later than if you didn’t. Make sure you ask for all food arriving at the same time, if you’re hungry.

The pizza made by the chef is out of this world. The 4 of us who went there fell in love for it. The ambient is also extremely nice. The staff is super nice.

When my Italian colleague said that the pizzas here are better than in Italy, I had to go. I was afraid that this restaurant might have lost its popularity, but the opposite was the case. Very warm welcome and full attention from the staff throughout the evening, very friendly and well served. Open kitchen where the chefs were concentrated but also kept in touch with the guests. And of course: truly fantastic pizzas. I wanted to skip the tiramisu because what could be so special about tiramisu... but it was great. Recommended, we will definitely come back!

Food was delicious. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a pizza so much. The pizza has full flavors (unlike a New York Pizza/home delivered Pizza) and the dough is so wonderfully fluffy that you notice that the chef has spent time learning how to do it. Food gets a big 5 star rating. Service is also worth a 5 star rating. There are 2 ladies in service who take and deliver drinks and orders. 2 gentlemen in the kitchen and everything runs so smoothly that I was surprised at their good service. They are so friendly and quick to help all guests in the restaurant! Atmosphere is also worth 5 star rating. Restaurant is small and nicely decorated. No trendy sofas or expensive marble tables. Simply wonderful, cozy and warm decor. Perfect for a fun (romantic) night out with your partner. Tip: reservation is necessary because the restaurant is very popular and my girlfriend and I were lucky that we were able to get a table in between, which is normally not possible at the restaurant.

Highly recommended! Not only because the pizzas are delicious, but also because the staff is really very sweet and cooperative. If I have to mention a small disadvantage: as the restaurant became full and there was a lot of talking, it was difficult to hear your own table companions. But otherwise really great!

We sat at 5. Got the pizza at 6. Waited for 1 hour for a pizza. And the reason for this is because we ordered a starter which is nothing but a small dish of cheese and salamis. No, you were busy with take aways. And tables were empty for about 10 people when we were living. Nobody ever sit there during the time. So why did i make the reservation 3 weeks in advance ? Pizza was good, but not good enough to live this nonsense. I dont think i will come again.

We didn't reserve but could eat our takeaway on the waiting bench. The pizza was wonderful. Bread was fantastic. The waitress was really helpful and kind. I hope they keep their attitude when their name is getting bigger and bigger.

We had to reserve ahead but with a reason everything was a 5/5 including the price. We were with two and had 3 pizza’s (they were that good) for 60€ including tip None of the desserts spoke to me so thats the only improvement point for me.

The atmosphere was great. The inside of the building is very nice and attractive. We had a delicious starter with Burrata, prosciutto and other various hams. As a main course I ordered a pizza Margherita Bufala. When picking up a slice by hand, what was on top of the pizza fell off. The crust was crispy but the rest was not. After being in Italy for 9 years in a row, I realize that the Neapolitan pizza does not have to be crispy, but this looked more like a soup. The pizza dough was very tasty. This is also because they let the dough ferment for 48 hours as described. We also had a nice conversation with the waitress who was not Dutch but nevertheless did their utmost to learn the Dutch language. Apart from the more annoying negative points, I thought it was a very nice tent. I really felt like I was back in Italy.

If you want a taste of magic, then this is it. Make sure to reserve a table so you don’t miss out. Piccolo Forno again and again and again thank you 🍕🤤💚🤍❤️

Me and my friend went all the way to Haarlem to try out their pizza...and it did not disappoint! We tried the 'Salami Picante' and the 'Mortadella'. Both tasted really good😍 Definitely a visit worthy if you want some great pizza for a good price👍Do not forget to make a reservation, it can get crowded pretty quickly😉

All the Pizzas are burnt on the Side, even carbon, when throwing away the edge there remains a thin layer of pasta as if you were eating the ingredients alone, it is far from being a Neapolitan pizza like I have already eaten in Italy. Very good atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Best pizza in Haarlem - worth the wait for a reservation! Owned and run by the most lovely Italian couple with the help of the nicest bunch of smiling expats - this place is seriously fantastic. We started with some starters (as one does) which were sublime. Though we saw lots of tables just dive straight into the pizza. The pizza was UNREAL. Our group tried a variety and none of us could agree on a favourite - they were all SO GOOD. That crust though?! We had completely clean plates at the end which is definitely the sign of a good meal! We made room though for the desserts with the tiramisu being out of this world. We also got to try a couple of house made “cellos”. I’ve never had flavours like it!! Garam Masala, Orange and Chilli - you just have to take my word for it and try them. The staff were gems and so kind to our group, and the food was quick!! What more can you want?! Hot tip - we watched the team have to turn away people who hadn’t made a reservation so definitely book ahead. It seems like some nights they can do takeaways but that’s not always the case (based on availability I imagine?) so just book ahead and count down the days on your calendar until your reservation!! You won’t be disappointed!!

If I said a life dedicated to pizza, it might be an exaggeration, but countries visited just for pizza, dozens of cities, maybe hundreds of restaurants... Not just eating pizza, but spending thousands of minutes making it, and maybe tens of thousands of minutes learning about it... This time, I wasn't a customer; I was the one checking the customer list and their requests every day, wondering where to seat them. I was the one who knew and had tried every pizza on the menu, like a child unable to decide which pizza to eat, yet still a customer. In this restaurant where I first came as a customer, I later returned as a customer again. But this time, the person taking my order was my friend, the one filling my wine was not just that kind, beautiful lady, but a friend with whom I shared every emotion. The chef bringing the pizza was the person who listened to my most foolish stories, and the mysterious stranger at the oven was my closest confidant. And at the end of the day came that question: "How was it, man?" "Buonissimoo, amazing, like always!" Grazie a tutti <3
