What a wonderful evening at Pitot. Every single dish looked beautiful and tasted fantastic as well. The dish with the black lentils and mushrooms was a particular highlight. The presentation truly shows an eye for detail, right down to the nameplates. Highly recommended for everyone in Utrecht. I will definitely be back.

The restaurant seats just a few people. The menu is unique, featuring many small dishes. Vegan options are also available. The €42 menu is a great option for trying all the main dishes.

The atmosphere and service are great; a good addition to Utrecht. However, I did miss the feeling of having finished my meal. Perhaps I would make the dishes a bit more substantial and add more choices to the menu, such as meat, fish, etc. Then the price would be worth it a bit more. Next time, I would come back here for drinks rather than dinner. The wine list was top-notch!

There were a lot of people, a bit noisy. The portions seemed small, but tasty.

We stayed outside so there was not much atmosphere to enjoy. The wind was blowing and it was a bit cold. The serving was eh..the one who came to take our order didn't note a thing and I was really amazed bt that confidence and I was not surprized that something from our order was forgotten and it took sometime to bring it so yeah. Also each one of use received its order one by one so we couldn't eat at the same time. The food was really amazing though but the whole idea of "bites/food to share" that means that the portions are small but the prices are still close to a main dish looks like a fancy and euphemistic way to say "we want to chare you more for less" And those dishes are not to share by the way they are served ( like a chicken on a fork or a minipizza - I forgot its name - which is not sliced. There is nothing to be shared in those dishes It s not that we were scammed or anything, we were clearly informed how things are going. The only reason for staying here was that we were hungry and it was about 9pm.

This had been on my to-try list for a long time and lived up to the high expectations! Had a delicious lunch with many flavorful, beautiful dishes. Nice atmosphere too. A great addition to the neighborhood.

Nice restaurant! Just a bit of a shame that we were eventually turned away. I understand that you might want to close earlier because it is quiet, but then don't make me reserve a table so late. Otherwise good and the food was delicious.

the food wasn't great and the service was unexpectedly bad. we had the dinner menu for two, where dishes came out scattered. we had to wait an awful lot of time between dishes. the dishes were tiny so even though we tried to eat them slowly, it was not a fun and engaging feeling and we didn't feel like we were having dinner and more like snacking on something on the side... later on it also turned out that the price was completely unjustified. on the menu it said €42, we believed it was the total price but probably missed the small letters which specified it was per person..? far too expensive, the food wasn't great, the service was bad. skip that one.

Atmospheric place! However, there are a few things to criticize here and there. To start with, it took quite a while before someone came for the first round. Some dishes are a bit simple and somewhat tasteless, like the lamb salad. The corn steak consisted of 4 small pieces for which you pay a hefty price. The pita, flatbread, and halloumi are delicious. Furthermore, the staff is friendly.

Nice flat bread and atmosphere, but sadly one of our snack order never came despite asking 2 times and said it will come later, also took very long each meal. Also was by mistake charged for something we did not buy instead, while one of our food did not come. The labneh balls were somehow a bit too strong and sour for me, while the kipkebab is quite ok but not too warm for me

Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment! Many dishes were really far too salty, and a number of dishes had some kind of charred garlic or something similar on them, but the garlic was so burnt that you only tasted the burnt, bitter garlic flavor… The desserts were fun and experimental in themselves, but they just didn't taste good at all. Maybe that was a matter of personal preference, although our entire group didn't like them. The wines were fine in themselves! Service was okay; I think we were a bit difficult considering there were so many of us. This was truly a case of: a hip restaurant with an ‘oat milk elite’ vision but mediocre chefs.

The food was good and flavorful throughout. The only thing was that the stew wasn't very seasoned, it was too sweet. The bread was in the oven just a little too long.

Very disappointing dining experience. I have been to this restaurant several times, it has always been a gem for me. Apparently something changed this year, and the food is just not sharing the same high standard as they used to be anymore. Everything is way too salty, and the size of all dishes is shrunken. The clam and octopus are awful. The lamb bread was alright. It was always a full house during the weekends, but yesterday most of the tables are empty. The waitresses seem to be under a lot of pressure, but they are nice. I suspect they are deleting low scoring reviews, but anyway I wanted to write this honest review so that customers will not be fooled by the seemingly high ratings.

Absolute gem to find in Utrecht; creative and brave dishes and a warm space to spend an evening. The kitchen-side bar tables were a treat to enjoy too, with great service from a friendly team and an incredibly laid back atmosphere. Loved how vibrant it was on a tuesday too! that tells you that somewhere is special for sure. We’ll absolutely be back…

A lovely restaurant with a nice, small menu perfect for sharing, with some good vegetarian options. Good value for money. Beautiful decor with cozy tables. A downside is that they don't serve alcohol-free red wine.

The food was really delicious. But we had to wait so long for it. It took ages for the waitress to come by to take our drink order, then it took at least half an hour for the drinks to arrive, and we had to wait over an hour for our food. The frustrating thing was that the people next to us who came later did get their food. No one was around (we were sitting outside) to ask what was going on. When they did come outside, they didn't really look around, so you could put on your hat, but you were ignored. I finally went inside and reported it myself. No compensation was offered (e.g., a house drink). It must have been busy, but I doubt I'd meet them again.

A really fun and, above all, delicious place to eat. Highly recommended! It has a warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and is easily accessible from Utrecht Central Station.

I picked up a menu box from Pitot for Christmas. Despite the many steps, the dishes were very tasty. Some improvements would be to include the required ingredients in the instructions for the dishes and to try to use less plastic in the menu box packaging. Next time, I'll try the restaurant again.

Friendly staff, nice music and atmosphere, food was very good and fresh, same goes for the cocktails that are made with fresh ingredients right in front of you!

The food was delicious, although I was disappointed that lunch consisted almost entirely of bread dishes and carbohydrates. I missed some vegetable side dishes. The main options were flatbread or pita, with mostly bread dips as a side. Luckily, the bread was very good. :)

This place is zio avoid for obvious reasons. This restaurant is engaging in cultural erasure by mislabeling traditional Palestinian, Levantine dishes as “Israeli” (they have done so in many interviews and their instagram page). The cuisine of this region has deep, indigenous roots that predate the establishment of this modern project (google wont let me use the actual words that belong to this state). Renaming these foods contributes to the ongoing erasure of Palestinian history and identity. It is deeply painful to see the dishes of a people who have endured displacement, occupation, and dispossession being appropriated and rebranded to belong to the very perpetrators of these crimes. If you truly respect the culinary heritage of this region, acknowledge its origins—call it Palestinian, Levantine, or say that it comes from Jaffa, the Palestinian city on which Tel Aviv was placed. Anything else is an extension of the same historical and present-day injustices.

Top bistro just outside Utrecht city center

We recently dined here with our group of friends (Jecko) at the invitation of a young man on staff. The food was truly fantastic. You can enjoy Mediterranean delicacies in a shared dining setting while the food flows freely. Definitely recommended if you're spending a day in Lombok!

The food was delicious! The food is original and the menu is excellent! We had everything vegetarian, which was delicious! They just have relatively few tables for two, which is a shame when you're going on a date.

The food and drinks were delicious! The restaurant looks nice and the service is fast. Unfortunately, we were rushed in an unwelcoming way during our meal, which is very unpleasant when you're enjoying a nice dinner out. We received dessert while we were eating, and then the bill before we had even finished. We had to pay while we were still eating and drink our drinks outside in the cold. We knew there was a time slot, but that's not feasible if you want to eat more than a main course. Moreover, the service was rude. I wouldn't go back for this reason; the price is too high to have to eat and drink in such a rush.

A super cute place! With a fairly extensive menu and many, many vegetarian options! We ordered the tasting menu for two (which is vegetarian) and were amazed. The place was very busy. Reservations are recommended. Even so, they served us very quickly and were very friendly. TOP quality-price ratio!

The food was excellent. The atmosphere is great, it's not big, and there was live music. Even though I mentioned my allergies when I made my reservation and at the beginning of the evening, I was still served something I wasn't supposed to eat twice. Luckily, I could see it the first time, but the second time I couldn't, which made me feel unwell for the rest of the evening. Allergens aren't listed on the menu. Otherwise, it's a really nice place, but not recommended for anyone with allergies.

We had a most delicious meal served by excellent staff, and the atmosphere was wonderful! We will definitely come back the next time we're in Utrecht.

The food was truly fantastic. As far as I know, it's unique to eat so well for such a price. The straciatella and green asparagus were my favorites. The two of us chose the surprise menu. I'm vegetarian and my boyfriend eats meat, and they selected some lovely dishes for us. Mostly vegetarian, but also a delicious meat dish for my boyfriend: the chicken thighs. We really enjoyed the food.

Great experience. Good food. "Pien" the waitress made it complete, with fantastic service and attention to us as guests. So quality service in the hospitality industry isn't a lost cause after all! 😊

We visited the restaurant and really liked the service and the atmosphere . Very friendly and welcoming. However, the food was extremely salty. The potato latkes were so salty that we couldn’t eat them and had to leave them. The pita dish was also quite salty, but we managed to finish it because we were very hungry. Overall, a nice place, but the kitchen needs to be more careful with the salt.

Had read raving reviews about Pitot and decided to book it for a romantic dinner with my partner. We had such a lovely time! The food was amazing - rich in flavour, complex and at the same time comforting. Service was friendly and approachable, and the staff was always ready to help or answer questions. Great atmosphere, the restaurant has a truly refined vibe to it and it doesn't get too loud (a great plus for us). Highly recommended!

What a wonderful evening! Last Saturday, we dined at this lovely restaurant with Eastern Mediterranean cuisine, and it was truly a wonderful experience. We sat outside until late on the charming terrace – warm evening air, delicious wines, and the dishes were all full of flavor, surprising, and beautifully presented. You simply forgot you were in the Netherlands for a moment. Everything was served with care, and the service was friendly, attentive, and relaxed – exactly what you want on a night out. You absolutely have to try this place. We will definitely be back.

We wanted to have lunch, but after 20 minutes our order still hadn't been taken, and it wasn't that busy. The gentleman who brought us the menu didn't seem particularly enthusiastic either, so it was a disappointment all in all. (Update: star off for the childish reaction)

Wow. Great food and a very nice ambiance. The service was also really great and very friendly. We had the set menu for 39 euros per person with various starters, main courses, and dessert. It was also really great that the chef came to our table for each course and explained in English what we were getting. It was simply fantastic. The only thing that wasn't quite my cup of tea was the dessert. It tasted good, but the cake was quite dry. The honey and mascarpone cream saved it. But everyone has different tastes. We'd be happy to come back anyway.

We have now eaten there for the third time since it opened and the dishes and wines are still fantastic! Every dish is a surprise and it remains affordable. The only suggestion we have is for the monkfish on the menu: if you pickled it in lemon or vinegar like ceviche, it would have been perfect. Keep up the good work, Pitot is a very welcome change in the Lombok district.

Wow! Can't say anything else than that I was positively surprised. What a food! Varied and challenging flavors, good balance between cold and warm dishes. Many vegetarian options. Nice Mediterranean twist on the cocktails and the flatbreads are fantastic! Be there or be square!!

The principle: small plates to share, count 3 or 4 per person. The cuisine is close to oriental and leaves plenty of room for vegetables. We enjoyed ourselves even if some dishes were a little too salty for my taste but I will return with great pleasure.

Ate here last Sunday and I don't regret it! We chose the Balagan menu and the chef surprised us wonderfully. Whipped feta with crispy chili oil and (warm!) pita bread was an instant hit, pike-perch ceviche a big 10 and a delicious salad of roasted beets, simple but effective! Etc etc p.s. the Greek chardonnay was also very tasty. Pitot has a new fan.

Discovered this place by accident. It’s very close to the central station but not located in the very buzz of it. The food is just delicious, and the staff is very present, not just doing their job and bringing food but actually taking their time to give you a great experience, offering recommendations and explaining the food they serve. Lovely, highly recommended!!!

In terms of food and interior, it is immediately one of my favorite restaurants in Utrecht. The food is extremely varied and very tasty. I have to say that I did not really get excited about the menu, but we let ourselves be 'surprised' by the kitchen and that turned out very well (including the mackerel, chicken thigh, very good bread with walnuts and feta). The only point of feedback is the service. The service was very rushed and did not seem to really have a handle on it. This while the restaurant was certainly not fully occupied. In the end we had to push the dessert inside because we had to make room for a new reservation. Next time, perhaps keep a better eye on the planning and offer us (and possibly other guests in the future) a coffee at the bar or something like that 🙂. I would like to come back soon to see if anything has been done with the feedback 😉💕.

The atmosphere is really nice. Clearly they have thought about every detail. They want to offer an experience more than just food, which is special for the neighbourhood. Plus the food is well thought, the bread is just delicious and the drinks are in perfect balance. We loved it and look forward to see how it will evolve on time

I have seen some lesser reviews but I certainly cannot agree with them, although I would like to point out that I am certainly not uncritical when it comes to the Dutch catering industry. The food was tasty, authentic and balanced (we had the Balagan menu, or for those who want to be surprised) and the staff was helpful and attentive. The only downside - but that hardly justifies a star reduction - is that not all wine countries from the Levant were represented on the wine list, not even which ones you would expect. The reasons for this are somewhat obvious from a commercial perspective in these times, but still.

Went here for my birthday dinner with friends. Delicious food and cocktails !

I was really looking forward to eating here, unfortunately the price was not in proportion to the quality. A lot of salt and little taste, it is more about aesthetics than quality. Dishes sound good, but in the right dimensions they may fit well together, but the concentration seems to weaken during the evening, so that the taste is no longer in proportion. We chose the menu where excessive burnt flatbread did not improve the taste, but was also not in proportion to the price. My friends had to catch the train, then waited alone for 10 minutes without contact with staff for staff to pay the bill, and then walked to the bar where I was overlooked again, and chatting with each other was more important. Unfortunately, in my opinion it is overhyped and I will not do this again. Drinks are also not on the menu.

I was excited to try the new menu at Pitot, but what should have been a fun evening was unfortunately disappointing. We were constantly reminded by the staff to hurry up with the food because we only had 1.45 for the entire menu. And with a large group of shared dining that is really too tight. This information was also not included anywhere in the reservation, but we still had to deal with it. A shame because the food and the environment have potential.

Delicious meal 3 times. Very disappointed today. First 2 dishes were mediocre and tasteless or too salty. Third was a plate of Raw chicken/not well done at all. Then she told us that we didn't have to pay for it, but then we don't want any further hassle? Bizarre

Super cosy restaurant, located just outside of the very busy city centre. The staff were very friendly and made sure everything was great. The food was really good, we tried different dishes and they were full of flavour, especially the fried halloumi with spices. Our only complaint was that the gamba skewer we ordered came initially raw and cold still, the staff fixed it immediately and shortly we received a new one, cooked to perfection, but still something the chefs shouldn’t have let happen. Overall, a great place and I would definitely return for some of their flatbreads, they’re dreamy! Oh, and definitely book a table in advance!
