Pizzeria De Italiaan Almelo in Wijk 10 Binnenstad

We order there regularly, but the service and quality really leave a lot to be desired. You get free drinks with your meal. They weren't delivered. You call up. You get a vague young guy on the phone. “Yes sir, you didn't tick that box.” Hello, I *did* tick it. So then you end up with an argument. I wasn't in the mood for it, but they didn't offer a solution either. Hopeless, basically. This was the last time for us.

Super friendly staff and very tasty food!

You won't believe this. Paid, but no one answers, unreachable.

Top restaurant! Order here weekly! Keep up the good work, everyone! Top quality!

Ordered 2 pizzas. 1 small one with tuna and 1 regular one with chicken. Unfortunately, the pizzas were tasteless. This was mainly due to the very poor crust. We won't be coming back. Unfortunately, we threw away more than half of it.

They sell a really delicious pepperoni pizza. Nice and warm and spicy. Delivered quickly and the food is high quality.

Tasty pizzas and very good service!

Great pizza. Well-topped and delivered quickly. Simply good!

Claims to sell Italian pizzas but they are just frozen bases, or Flippo pizzas. Way too expensive for the quality, so this was the last time.

Our favorite restaurant in Almelo!! Always pays close attention to comments and is super nice. We will remain loyal customers and can't wait for the Italian restaurant to open in the city center! The tastiest pastas and pizzas 😍

I don't know what you're doing with the dough; it's dry and not very flavorful. But this isn't really a pizza crust recipe. It's a shame, because the toppings are okay.

Great food and fast delivery 👌👍 Will definitely come back again👍

I just placed an order at De Italiaan. It arrived quickly, even faster than the delivery time stated in the email, and it was truly delicious. You can clearly taste that the dough is fresh and homemade. They're also generous with the ingredients. I read a review that said they microwave pizzas, but that's complete nonsense. The pizza pollo is highly recommended, especially if you like chicken curry.

The food was delivered more than half an hour late and we missed half of the order and it is also inedible

Waited an hour for food. After half an hour, they called and said they didn't have enough ingredients for something and that it was going into the oven and was on its way. When it arrived, everything was lukewarm, and one meal (the one that went into the oven) was ice cold. I called about this, and they wanted my meal back, so I received a new one. This one was also lukewarm. Poor service, very bland food (especially the dough), and a long delivery time.

Ordered here with friends, they didn't have half of the ingredients, the pizza's were cold, food was an hour late and the service regarding our complaints was far from satisfactory. Horrible experience.

No more tasty pizzas at the Italian...

Such welcoming warmth! Wonderful.

We returned to our hotel after a long, busy day and headed straight to Pizzeria de Italiaan. We really wanted to eat there, which wasn't a problem, but they actually focus on takeout and delivery. So we had to wait a bit. Fine, no problem. We got a nice drink from the owner, and within fifteen minutes, we had two delicious pizzas in front of us. And honestly, they tasted delicious. After paying, they apologized again for the rush (but that’s exactly what I love). The owner seems to be working super hard and has a close eye on everything...

Please just order something from the menu, they can do that.. As soon as adjustments need to be made, it grinds to a halt.

We ordered takeout yesterday. The owner is very friendly and a good person. The food was fantastic. The chicken breast was flavorful and wonderfully tender. The pizza bolognese was also very good. If we're ever in Almelo again, we'll definitely be back!

Brilliant pizza, had two this week

This restaurant is one of my best restaurants in The Netherlands So delicious 😋

After leaving two pizzerias in Almelo that I found good in the past year, I've now discovered Pizzeria "de Italiaan" on Grotestraat. It's a shame I didn't discover this pizzeria sooner. Seriously, they make great pizzas. Flavorful, well-topped, the crust is fantastic, and the owner, who's also the chef, whom I've spoken to several times now during takeout, is a very friendly man who runs this place with passion. The interior isn't very big, and they're primarily focused on delivery, which they excel at. Today I ordered another delicious pizza, and within 20 minutes the delivery driver was at my door with a steaming pizza in his hands. Thank you, and until next time. Regards, Emilio

I've ordered from the Italian restaurant several times, the pizzas are great! You can tell they're all working hard to provide good service and a great pizza. The owner is also very attentive. 👍

Goddammit I will never order here again. We ordered 2 mixed grill. It was inedible. The minced meat, chicken and spare ribs were tough and reheated. The pitas were dry and the salad seemed a week old.

The pizza was cold, the salad wasn't fresh; it was floating in oil and definitely watery. The nachos were cold. This is the first and last time we've ordered from here.

Friendly staff, good food and fast service! Really recommended

The pizzas were cold upon delivery, and the price and ingredients didn't match the website. They did, however, accommodate dietary requirements.

We ate here today. We ate really well and they are all hard workers. There is also very good communication with each other. Highly recommended

I'm telling you: this is the best pizzaria in the region, super respectful, friendly and the food really tastes heavenly. It is also prepared very quickly, you don't wait longer than 10 minutes for your food. If there is one place I recommend it is definitely the Italian Almelo

Very bad experience with this place food does not arrive when you call they don't know you and they say you didn't order anything so nothing is right

Just went to the Italian to pick up a pizza. Owner is super friendly (service 5+!!) and we ate a delicious vegetarian pizza that was not too salty and made with fresh products. We were very satisfied!

I really liked ordering from it (I have now decided not to order anymore since today, the Carrello level has been reached again😞, time for a new name again). But after 8/10 times, as a regular customer, I don't read any messages and again do not deliver as ordered, my patience runs out! Sorry, but then you really lose a regular customer if something like this happens so often. Pizzas usually taste great, although the quality varies from time to time, but usually quite good. From now on we will choose another pizzeria that puts customer wishes first and can deliver consistent quality instead of one great and the other a greasy bite of pizza drippings.

Delicious food and friendly staff! Good and fast service! My favorite place for a pasta. Pasta alla panna (with extra spinach, egg & jalapenos), highly recommended!

Just ordered 2 delicious pizzas! Fast delivery and fantastically baked 👌😍

Food is tasty, really what you can expect from an Italian dish, nice staff.

I've received wrong pizza and they put yellow cheese on top of fettuccine alfredo and that's an outrage.

Order pizza together with colleagues and watch the European Championships. After placing the online order, we contacted you by telephone to indicate that we wanted the VAT receipt for the business. A man who did not speak Dutch well answered the phone and could not quite get it out, so it was transferred to a colleague who immediately said; what is problem? Indicated that there is no problem, but that we would like to have the receipt with the order as soon as the pizzas are delivered. This was no problem, the man indicated. The way of communicating was not very polite to us and could be improved. Unfortunately, there was no receipt during the delivery, which was on time. The pizzas were tasty, nice thin base, but very greasy.

Always tasty and friendly people!

I ordered a pizza here on Sunday. it's that I was hungry. otherwise I would have thrown it away. the pizza was just barely edible. Luckily I can order from NYP again. It's nice that you get priority with about a euro.

The pizzas are too delicious, without a doubt my favorite 🥰

All was perfect! Very nice service, perfect garlic sauce (most of pizza restaurants use ready sauce from bottle), pizza ingredients high quality! I love it and for sure I'll back soon!

Very customer friendly, delicious food!

Ordered 3 pizzas today and received them promptly, they were SUPER DELICIOUS!!!!

Great people, short wait time, delicious food and they treat you like royal guests

Delicious nachos and pasta carbonara! Recommended!

Delicious pizzas and the Nachos are also very tasty

Delicious hot dishes as always, hospitable and super friendly staff, highly recommended! Great service!

Great that the pizza was delivered to the Business Park in Almelo! Thanks for the delicious pizza

I didn’t think the pizza was very good.

best pizzaria in Almelo!! The pizzas were very tasty. Very satisfied!

WHERE IS MY COLA? Update just didn't come! I can understand why you forget, but I can't stand having to call 3 times and being told it will arrive and then not even showing up. FYI, I paid for the coke, so it wasn't free. Such a shame!

Bad pizzas burnt edges and bottom. Pizza was inedible, they forgot coke and brought it to 45 minutes later! I wouldn't order pizza there!!!

Nice pay her, if you order via their own site, free drink😍

tasty, affordable, customer-friendly

Pizzas are fine, but waiting two hours for two pizzas is really ridiculous!! Won't be ordering again anytime soon

It is very tasty, but they are putting less and less food in the containers and once they forgot the order.

Nice service and delicious food ☺️

Ordered 7 pizzas, they tasted delicious and arrived on time. From now on you have a regular customer. Keep it up….

Delivery person wanted double payment. Didn't have the correct receipt with me Pizza mixed together, no more topping on the pizza. Unreachable by phone for complaint

I have ordered a pizza several times and the pizzas have not disappointed yet. Wonderful taste and good traditional Italian pizza. Delivery is also very fast. I will definitely order here more often

Posted a somewhat poor review yesterday, because I could no longer reach the store. I received a call back immediately today with an apology and compensation. Very neatly solved! People make mistakes. It's how you solve it that counts. Customer friendliness cannot be doubted here.

Just picked up food, nice tent with good food, my compliments, the staff was also very polite

Tonight we ordered lasagna, it tasted great and nice and warm and we also got a baguette with herb butter, absolutely great, definitely worth repeating!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Had a very nice meal tonight, delicious thin base, tasty pasta, and polite/sweet staff, like true guests!! Highly recommended!!

Ordered pasta for the 2nd time, both times good pasta with a lot of food, but unfortunately I did not read the comment both times. Which means it contains onions that I don't like.

We order food here regularly. Always delicious pizzas and pastas with high quality and fresh ingredients. Highly recommended!

Delicious pizzas, very friendly owner. Highly recommended!!!!

Very small place. You can see how the food is made.

I really don't understand how they score so high on their site.... We ordered 4 pizzas, all 4 of which were inedible.... Never eaten such a bad pizza.... An average home cook makes with ready and ready-made pizza dough, tasty pizzas than this Italian (if it is a real Italian) I can't imagine that an Italian dares to call this a pizza.

Ordered pizza here for the 1st time. High expectations, but it was very disappointing. Pizza was very dry, the bottom looked like thin cardboard. And it had no taste at all. I ordered extra cheese, which was also not found on the pizza. Very unfortunate, but the last time for us.

Very good pizzas. Tasty thin base with generous fresh ingredients and quick preparation. A class apart... Highly recommended.

We've ordered from here about six times now since the pandemic. Never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious, the delivery people are always friendly and almost every time we have received the order well before the stated delivery time. We much prefer to order here than from the major chain competitors. Highly recommended

Ordered from the Italian for the first and last time. So salty that you can't taste the ingredients anymore. It is now in the waste bin, not edible... Fast delivery. But maybe that should have been an omen.

Never had such bad pizzas before. Both pizzas had a pre-baked base with raw ingredients on top and then microwaved. One of the pizzas wasn't even the right one.... Didn't eat it and ordered a better one from a competitor Update: received a discount code to order 2 new pizzas. These were correct and much better than the first order, but unfortunately the pizzas of the competition are still tastier. From 1 to 3 stars.

Delicious food, highly recommended!

Delicious food and friendly delivery person!

Delicious pizza won tastes good

Ordered six pizzas today, fast and free delivery above €40. Tasted delicious as always!

bad pizzaria, most pizzas burnt edges and you order, delivery has no change, he says I will bring it later, now it's almost a week later and still no change, you call after it, the owner gets angry, threatens with the police and after your money you can whistle, I order there never anything again

Unfortunately, your quality has deteriorated. The food was no longer warm. Almost cold, it was delivered by bike. Had to wait far too long instead of 40 minutes, 20 minutes more. The pizza calzone was moderately filled. The pizza gyros was fried hard. Actually, in one word, it's a shame that it turned out this way. And then you order for almost 50 euros and then you have to pay €1.00 per container for 4 containers of garlic sauce. Not really a nice service. We are used to different things from you, hence my 2 stars instead of 1

There was a small problem but they solved it well!

was delivered very quickly before the time they indicated, I had a Mexican mix. The taco was stuck to the container and was completely soft, the rice that came with it had no taste, you just had the feeling that you were getting a bite of garlic and they don't look at the comments

Received delicious hot dishes and delivered well on time. a nice delivery person came to the door and corona distance and such are still being maintained. really tasty food!! highly recommended

Ordered 3 pizzas yesterday, 1 of which was a “double” pizza. For all pizzas, the bottom of the pizza was not cooked properly, it was as if we took a bite of dough. The pizzas were very greasy, which means that all three of us have quite a sore stomach this morning. The plus is that the pizzas are reasonably priced. For a restaurant that calls itself “the Italian”, the pizzas certainly have little to do with Italy, which is a shame.

Bad service, I ordered calzone pizza, got regular pizza. Called but no response to my complaint, she put it to me, my mistake when ordering. Such a shame, never ordering here again.

I've been living in Almelo for 2 weeks now and I ordered twice, delivered the first time (didn't know you were around the corner) and picked up the food yesterday with my daughter. Both times were great, both the food and the service! Great👍🏼

Had great pasta. Everything nice and hot and tasty! Top!

This is not how you make carbonara :(

Food was delicious. And the delivery time was very fast.

Ordered a pizza today, unfortunately found 2 long hairs under the cheese. Too bad, because the food is always great! After contacting the pizzeria, an apology was offered and we were compensated. The owner was friendly and everything was handled neatly. Despite this incident, the Italian is highly recommended.

the reviews are from people they know personally They do not adhere to the corona measures, the kitchen is allowed to open in the Netherlands by stingy people who never think about their health but about money since I can no longer post a review, but I live above you so I come by every day......

Great tasty food, thin base, well prepared and delivered very quickly!

Great service, very hospitable. Menu options fine, just few options in terms of drinks

Delicious food, neat place and friendly staff. Recommended.

Fantastic pizza, welcoming and very friendly staff. small case but perfect. The pizza baker does more than his best. No thick dough layer, but a perfect base and wonderfully crispy, and everything is well or thickly topped.

The pizzas tasted perfect, nothing wrong with them, they just weren't very warm, which was a shame

Delicious food! Well taken care of. Friendly staff and actually dirt cheap! Worth repeating!👍

Nice pizza... I thought the pizza was a bit bland... my son's pizza did taste good. friendly service
