Pizzeria Piccola Italia in Wijk 00 IJsselstein

I recently enjoyed a truly delicious carbonara, this time the four-course menu. And it turned out to be a bullseye. Superb dishes served professionally, accompanied by friendly service. Afterwards, espresso with one of the grappas (yes, you have a choice here). We sat outside on the back terrace in the beautiful weather and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of every dish.

Let the chef surprise you. His surprise menu exceeded all expectations. Good atmosphere and good service.

We dined at this restaurant tonight, as we often do. While we had previously been surprised by the dishes beyond the pizzas and pastas, tonight we found a surprise menu on the menu. We opted for the 4-course surprise dinner for €45 per person. And what a surprise that was! This menu elevates the restaurant to a higher level. The chef turns it into a wonderful experience. Highly recommended. Just go for it, it is delicious!

Perfect dinner. Please provide sharp knives for the pizzas. I understood they are new, but it could really be better. We were seated in the back room. Nienke's service was very good!!

Very tasty food, but 5 euros for a glass of Coke Zero (not a bottle) is really customer-unfriendly.

We were there today and it was perfect, absolutely delicious. The service was incredibly friendly 🤩 You can immediately taste that everything is fresh and homemade.

My biggest pet peeve is when businesses don’t update their hours on Google. Showed up for dinner with my family only to see the business is closed for holidays. The same amount of time it took to post a lousy sign, you could’ve updated your Google hours. I’ll post the sign here so no else wastes their time like we did.

Broodjes Panino Italiano gehaald. Dit ook weer duurder geworden. Niet leuk meer. € 7,25 voor een klein broodje met kaas, salami, paprika en groene pepers. Ik ga het voortaan zelf wel maken.

Had a delicious pizza. It was too big for me; I couldn't finish it. They didn't have room for two at the time, but I immediately made a reservation for an hour later. I walked around the park there for a bit, though, because going back to the hotel in Nieuwegein wasn't feasible.

Pizza with a side dish of patience (a whole lot of patience) At 6:00 PM, we were seated at the table, the restaurant was half full, so we thought: “That’ll surely be fine.” Spoiler: no. While one takeaway pizza after another cheerfully went out the door, we sat there drooling as if we were participating in a social experiment: How long will a customer sit without food? After 40 minutes, we finally asked if our order had been sent to Italy on a donkey. That was when they ‘just took a quick look in the kitchen’ for the first time. Friendly. 15 minutes later, the food arrived. Hooray! A total wait of 55 minutes – not bad considering we only wanted to eat, 4 pizzas that literally shoot out of the oven within 5 minutes… not exactly a four-course journey through time. Service? That was probably standing in the takeaway line too. No apologies, no explanation, not a single form of attention…. ‘Do you want ice cubes?’ was a service question. Just a repeated “it’s on its way,” which slowly started to sound like a bad joke. Advice: pick up your pizza, have a drink at home, and save yourself a lot of time. Or go somewhere where you actually feel welcome as a guest – fortunately, IJsselstein has plenty of alternatives where customer friendliness still exists.

Weken van te voren besproken voor een tafel van 7 in de serre achterin het Restaurant. Om mijn verjaardag te vieren met mijn kinderen en kleinkinderen.Daar aangekomen kregen we een hoge tafel middenin het Restaurant met hoge stoelen. Aangegeven dat dit niet werkte met mijn kleinkinderen ook mijn vrouw is klein van stuk en heeft dan geen steun met haar voeten. Direct weggegaan want er was geen oplossing. WIJ KOMEN HIER NOOIT MEER

Normally always very positive, but this pizzeria had a bit of a blunder. We arrived much later than the agreed-upon pickup time and then forgot one of the dishes, so we had to go back to pick it up. The result was lukewarm food. Such a shame.

At first glance, a cozy Italian restaurant. It is a shame that it takes well over 45 minutes to get your starter and then another hour before you receive a nearly cooked pizza. Not worth a repeat visit as far as we are concerned.

Ate a delicious Tris di pasta together with my sister. Very tasty. Add a delicious Promitivo wine and thoroughly enjoy it. Tiramisu for dessert and left very happy. Top!!!!

Unfortunately the pizzas were very tasteless. One pizza looked like it had a pasta sauce on it, so thin, take a pizza slice and everything (paprika sauce, etc.) ran right off the pizza. There wasn't much atmosphere either. The guys at the cash register were really friendly and pleasant.

It is always nice to eat at Piccola Italia. Well-made pizzas, tasty pastas and, among other things, delicious tiramisu! Salvatore also thinks carefully about the options available for large groups. I have now had the experience twice with a group: a drink for 22 people and a party for 27 people. Drinks with snacks and pizza slices and the party with various "courses" of Italian delicacies. Everything was great and well organised. This way you can enjoy your own party. The service is also always friendly and ensures that you are not short of anything. So not only great for eating out, but also recommended for larger groups.

There were six of us, great cheerful service, tasty and sufficient food at good prices.

Al jaren een begrip in IJsselstein. Altijd goed eten en vriendelijk personeel. Hebben wat last van personeelstekort, maar communiceren open en eerlijk. Hebben eventueel een QR code waar je zelf drankjes mee kan bestellen.

Super tasty Italian restaurant. The owner and his team are always super friendly. The pasta and pizzas here are my favorite...but actually the entire menu is fantastic. You can sit inside at tables or benches. And outside they have a lovely terrace in the sun. If you are looking for a good restaurant you should definitely come here!

Pasta, pizza, salad or meat/fish, it's all equally delicious. Everything is prepared in an open kitchen, so you see what you get. Add to that friendly and prompt service and a top evening is guaranteed.

I found the dining area at the back, beyond the kitchen, cold and without atmosphere. Especially if there is enough space inside and you are the only one put in the back. Pizzas were ok. A bit too enthusiastically topped for my taste, the middle is wet and mushy.

Eating at Piccola Italia is always tasty and enjoyable. Experienced today that the pastas they make to eat at home with a large group are also recommended. In consultation with Salvatore, we opted for spaghetti with bolognese sauce for the youngest and three different pastas for the adults. It was delicious and more than enough.

Gezellig gegeten en het eten is heerlijk zeker voor herhaling vatbaar

Weer heerlijk gegeten, pizza zijn lekker maar ik heb sinds kort de vleesgerechten ontdekt, varkenshaas en biefstuk. Super mals en een mooi boord.

The pizza was honestly very bland. The tomato base was very watery and had hardly any flavour. The base was decent but could not make up for the lack of flavour. I was expecting more having read other reviews. Honestly most of the fast food pizza joints have better pizza than this. Their selection of Pizzas is very limited as well.

Goed eten! Gezellig en een vriendelijke bediening. Iedereen heeft een persoonlijke voorkeur en smaken verschillen maar mijn favoriet is de pizza Etna.

Heerlijke pizza gegeten hier. De pizza wordt goed gevuld/belegd! Ook de zalm en de vleestrio zijn zeker aanraders. Leuk dat je achter in de tuin kunt zitten! Mooi plekje midden in de binnenstad. Bediening was zeer vriendelijk en vrolijk!

Altijd goed. Leuke sfeer, fijne bediening en prima eten. Zijn er graag! De buitentuin is heel prettig als het warm is, maar binnen zit je ook fijn. Smal restaurant, dus intiem qua sfeer.

Heerlijk eten in een prettige omgeving

Vriendelijke en vlotte bediening. Het eten is lekker, de laatste keer gelukkig minder zout dan eerder. Dat komt de smaak ten goede.

Beste pizza's van Ijsselstein & omstreken, vers van de molen. Enige nadeel zijn de kinderpizza's... deze zouden eigenlijk geen kinderpizzas mogen heten. Volgende keer voor de kids maar 1 pizza bestellen.

Heerlijk gegeten! De Bino pizza is een aanrader. We werden vriendelijk te woord gestaan en we kregen snel onze bestellingen, dit terwijl het een zaterdagavond was en het restaurant erg vol zat.

Als iemand een liefhebber is van italiaans eten ben ik het wel. Piccola italia is tot nu toe de beste italiaanse restaurant waar ik geweest ben in deze omgeving. Vriendelijk personeel en top service en een gezellige restaurant. Ook heel erg populair dus als je wilt komen eten zorg er dan wel voor dat je van tevoren reserveerd😊

Eg leuke zaak, Italiaanse gezelligheid en heerlijk eten! Wij komen zeker vaker terug.

We hebbeb heerlijk gegeten, zijn goed geholpen en we hadden vriendelijke bediening

Was te lang geleden ....... Maar was echt top

In de loop van de middag kwamen we met de fiets voorbij en vroegen we of er nog kon gegeten worden. Er werd erg snel een lekkere pasta klaargemaakt! Zeer tevreden van het eten en de bediening!

Voor de tweede keer eten laten bezorgen. Wat hebben we weer gesmuld. Kortom een aanrader in deze Corona tijd.

Vandaag allebei de gegrilde biefstuk laten bezorgen, het was verrukkelijk, de bistecca was precies volgens wens gebakken, een heerlijke milde pestosaus daarbij, lekker verse groenten, we hebben genoten.

Gerund door een echte Italiaan, van z'n Italiaanse vader overgenomen. Dat proef je meteen. Voor een echte speciaalzaak op het gebied van Italiaans eten, ben je hier meer dan goed!

Nog nooit slechtere kwaliteit eten gezien in nederland. Eigenmerk pizza’s smaken nog beter. Zelfs mijn hond kreeg er diaree van.
