We relied on the number of stars from fellow reviewers… the place was empty, so we doubted for a moment if it was open. We were received very hospitably by enthusiastic owner Mario. I would have loved to give this pizzeria 100 stars. The food was even better than in Italy!! And you can tell that this man has been in the business for 40 years and still performs his profession with love and passion. The pizza hamburger was delicious.

Ended up at this pizzeria by chance today and ate a delicious hamburger pizza from Mario. The service was super friendly. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Great 👍

Super hospitable and sociable owners, the best herb butter we have ever tasted, and the dishes (we had lasagna) also tasted very fresh, flavorful, and prepared with love! We would definitely recommend this restaurant and secretly think it's a real shame that it isn't a bit closer to home!

I've never been to such a nice pizzeria. I called fifteen minutes before closing time to see if I could still pick up a pizza, but Mario said, "You can also just come in for a nice meal." When I arrived, the warm bread rolls with herb butter were already ready, and a few minutes later, my pizza was too.

Heard so many positive things and decided to give it a try. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas are crispy, even though there's no stone pizza oven. Mario prepares and bakes the pizzas by himself, but he always chats with you and talks passionately about his dishes. Note that these aren't Neapolitan-style pizzas (lightly risen with yeast and salty). They're primarily Tuscan (which is where he's from). The (homemade) herb butter with the bread is also delicious, as is his homemade pepper oil.

I had a pretty good meal. But I ended up paying way too much. He said we got ham with it. I ended up paying €30 for a few slices of ham. I won't be eating here again.

Wat een geweldig lekkere pizza’s maakt “Mario”! Zelfgemaakt deeg, dunne bodem. Belegd zoals jij het wilt hebben. Het restaurant zit bij ons om de hoek maar pas paar jaar geleden ontdekt. Sindsdien komen we er vaak. We nemen met regelmaat vrienden mee en iedereen vindt het geweldig. Mario is een ontzettend lieve gastheer! Zoals een bezoeker zei: een verborgen parel!

Today, my girlfriend and I picked up pizza from here for the first time. I can tell you, you won't find a more authentic Italian pizza in Valkenswaard or the surrounding area. I had the salami pizza, and my girlfriend had the pizza Pisa. Both are highly recommended! Since it was our first time here, I also got two small rolls and homemade herb butter. Delicious again! You'll be seeing us back here often.

‘Never judge a book by its cover’. I don’t think I could even find the name of restaurant on the outside of the building. The staff were super friendly and the food delicious. All fresh and home made. The Tiramisu is a must eat dessert! The €20-30 is inclusive of the dessert.

There were six of us there. When we decided to order, we were told that there were no pasta dishes available today, only pizza. This dampened our anticipation somewhat. After we ordered pizza, it took a little over an hour for the food to arrive, even though the pizzeria wasn't that busy. The food was relatively okay, but the pizzas could have been a bit larger to make it more affordable.

Small but very cozy pizzaria. The staff work here with love, which is reflected in the quality of the dishes. We as guests were allowed to decide for ourselves how the pizza thickness would be achieved and this did not disappoint! You can taste that everything is freshly made, the herb butter was delicious (not overpowering), the tomato soup was soft but full of flavor, and the pizzas were generously topped without and wonderfully thin. This made it crunchy with every bite. All this for a nice price!

Terrible. Normally I only post when it's good. I don't post bad experiences. But now there is no other way. I don't understand those 4.5 points. Man (cook) pretends to be Italian. Since we were with Italian company, you were quickly recognized. My friend had a lasagna, frozen and chewy on the inside and burnt on the outside. Give it back and take a spaghetti instead just like I had. All four of us had diarrhea all night. And therefore this response. After the bad lasagna he was suddenly unfriendly. (we were discreet though) and afterwards he also wanted to have that lasagna paid for. You won't see us there again. That case needs to be inspected. You'll get food poisoning from that.

Ik hou echt van de pizza's die ze hebben. De eigenaar is ook erg vriendelijk tegen me. Omdat ik het restaurant al eerder had bezocht en hij uitriep dat hij erg blij was me weer te zien, had hij ons wat dingen "van het huis" aangeboden. Deze dingen die van het huis waren, waren echter niet van het huis. Hij bracht ze in rekening en stond erop dat mijn partner een voorwerp zou krijgen dat aanzienlijk duurder was. Daarnaast gaf hij ons niet de volledige gespecificeerde bon toen we om de bon vroegen. Uiteindelijk betaalden we 2X het bedrag dat we oorspronkelijk hadden moeten betalen. We gingen weg met het gevoel opgelicht te zijn door hem en we willen hierdoor nooit meer terug. Dit was ook niet de eerste keer dat hij me kosten in rekening bracht voor artikelen "van het huis".
