The best Greek food in the area. The restaurant itself doesn't feel Greek, which I personally find a bit of a shame. Neither in the decor nor in the music. The staff are friendly, but could work with a little more attention.

The best Greek restaurant in the whole area! The baby squid, the pork tenderloin in Samos wine, the caramel cheesecake... My favorite three-course menu and it never gets old! The staff is incredibly attentive and the atmosphere is always fun. Update - there has been a new owner for quite a while now, and it is important to know that the quality is still just as good! We had a truly delicious meal, and the staff is attentive. There will be an update to the menu soon and I can't wait. Update after a few months - we found it a bit disappointing the last time. The service doesn't feel truly personal anymore and the new spices that are thrown on everything (even on the steak) just aren't that tasty. You should be able to decide this for yourself. The fries were white and soggy. The quality of the tenderloin has also declined; it was full of muscle fibers. The baby squid isn't baby squid anymore; they are just rings now, but actually too big and too much. I really don't think everything has to stay the same, but this was quite a letdown :(

It is a hidden gem! This place exceeded our expectations in every way! I had the vegetarian moussaka and it was even better than what I tried in Greece. My husband ordered a meat dish personally recommended by the chef — it was so tender and full of flavour. The side dishes, appetizers and wine were all outstanding, each one felt special on its own. The portions were generous too. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely dinner here with friends on a Friday. Nice place with very friendly staff. Good menu with meat/fish dishes and much more. We sat at a spacious table and had a wonderful time. Everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. I had Stifado as my main course. Very tasty and more than enough. We will definitely come back here again.

Despite specifically requesting a seat on a bench because my elderly mother was coming along, I still got a spot at a table with a swivel chair. It's a shame that they don't read menus properly. The tables are crammed together so tightly that you are practically sitting at your neighbors' table. A large number of worn-out chairs; it really looks terrible. The food itself was fine, except for the fries, which were mealy and unseasoned. The music was really too loud, so my mother couldn't hear the waitstaff. It's a pity, but the previous times we were there it was still bearable. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. We'll either go to the Greek restaurant in Barendrecht or get food at home via Gyros Express with its delicious fries.

The food is well prepared, but the staff leaves much to be desired; warmth is not the order of the day, and the owner was clearly not interested in the people but in what was being eaten and paid for. So maybe we'll try again; hopefully, they learn from this criticism. We used to come here often for the enthusiastic welcome, perhaps because my husband is also partly Greek, so we recognize this. We were here for the first time with friends. The starter, Rice & Beef in grape leaves, and the generous meatballs in tomato sauce were delicious. Our main course, the mixed grill, with large cuts of beef tenderloin, chicken thigh gyros, and lamb chops, was a complete meal. Fries, rice, and coleslaw accompanied these delicacies. The filo cake with honey and orange 🍊 was a lovely conclusion. The service is friendly and very attentive. We would love to come back.

What amazing quality, the food was so deliciously tender, and the service was super friendly. Highly recommended. I always order Keftedakia as a starter; out of the many dozens of Greek restaurants where I have eaten this, it was a clear top 3 ranking... just like for everything else. We had a lovely/fantastic evening with a group of approximately 16 residents of our service flat (ages 60–90). The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. Walkers were neatly put away, and an arm was even offered when walking to the toilet — truly top-notch service! The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the pace perfect for a pleasant evening. Warm atmosphere and also ideal for group dinners. Highly recommended!

We were four people at the restaurant, including children. We made a reservation in advance, and it seemed worthwhile, as the place is quite popular. Overall, we'd rate the food as average – it wasn't bad, but nothing particularly impressive either. The only thing we really enjoyed was the octopus. The rest of the dishes were okay, but without much of a "wow" factor.

I showed up without a reservation in a packed restaurant. They found me a seat, served me quickly and friendly, and the food was excellent. That's how it should be.

New owners. Portions were smaller, the mixed grill lacked flavor, as did the gyro dish. The service was friendly but we had to wait for them to come back. Dame Blanche was served on a flat plate, and the owner poured a huge amount of hot chocolate on it, leaving a huge, melting mess on the plate.

The food is always good. We regularly order takeout, pick it up, and eat it at home, and it still tastes just like it did in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We've eaten here many times, but tonight was the last time! The food is absolutely flawless, but the service has been absolutely terrible for the last three times...it's a real shame, considering we've been coming here for quite a few years! Fries were forgotten, and dessert was also forgotten! Such a shame! Even when it's busy, you can't do that!

Tonight we drove here especially from Dordrecht to try it because of the reviews and we were looking for a good Greek restaurant. It was really worth it and we will definitely come back again. Food was great and nice, friendly service. We had the choice menu with delicious starter and main course and the baklava for dessert was really great. The place was packed and that on a Wednesday evening.

Expected something greek, which I really like, unfortunately that wasn’t it. It would have been better to rename it. The food was very basic, a lot alike from supermarket. Would not recommend.

Doesn't seem to have any relation to greek cuisine, more like an adaptation to be more Dutch "friendly". A lot of the food served was store bought and tasted cheap. For example the salad was the basic packaged one that you can get from the store and I can say the same for the rice, including even the sauces... The atmosphere was good, but the menu should be reworked. There are a lot of meat options, so you can only choose from there just to have something edible.

Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be... The new owner isn't exactly hospitable... You can barely feel welcome... The time when Conny greeted us with a smile was good... The quality of the food has clearly declined... It's a shame.

We have been coming to Plateia for years, but unfortunately it is not what it used to be. The plate was a joke, the pita bread was now cut into thin strips, before that it was just small pieces. With the main course we had to wait 10 minutes until everyone had theirs, the plates were warmer than the meat that was on them, and after 10 minutes still just lukewarm. The dessert was for 5 people, why then 3x3 pieces of cake and 4 scoops of ice cream. And the place was not full yet, until last year that was different. The cozy atmosphere is gone unfortunately.

No taste in the food and you get very little for the price you pay. It also takes a long time before you get your food and it doesn't have much taste.

Been coming here for years, and it has been really good for years. Now it has new owners and it has become truly terrible. We ordered a mixed grill of which every piece of meat was completely raw, said something about it to the waitress and then heard nothing more, then someone else came with the bill, said something about it again and heard nothing again. It was only intended to make them aware that the food was not right, I don't want anything in return, but I personally find it rather antisocial to just keep quiet about it. NEVER come here again.

We ate here for the first time. The food was really good...I haven't had such tasty lamb chops in a long time. Everything was very good...the bread with spreads...deliciously tender meat...incredibly delicious cheesecake. A very busy business with friendly staff... The only downside is that some tables are very close together.

Het eten smaakt goed. Korte wachttijd. Beetje rommelige maar vriendelijke bediening. Broodplankje en 1 meloen met ham besteld. Brood kwam meteen, ham met meloen vergeten. Maaltijden werden geserveerd, oeps meloen vergeten. We wilden voor het bestellen van het dessert eerst nog iets drinken, 3x van verschillende de vraag of we dessert al wilde bestellen.Geen ouzo, is ook een minpuntje.

We haven't eaten this well in a long time. Really nothing to complain about. Good portions, super tasty, perfectly cooked meat, excellent side dishes, fantastic tzatziki. Dessert sublime. Service is also top notch. Very friendly and neat. 100% recommended.

Food is shame for traditional greek cuisine. Service did put some efforts. However, it is difficult to get professional servise from students. If you like noisy places-this is the place to be.

Very nice and cozy restaurant, the food is fantastic! On Tues, Wed, Thurs they have a 3 course dinner for 29.50, really great! Lots of choice, large portions, delicious fries. Drinks also decent price, large beer Half liter 5.80. Definitely recommended, you have to make a reservation, it is often full.

Yesterday we celebrated my mother's 70th birthday at Plateia with no less than 22 guests. The staff always responded to our requests immediately and with a smile, the food was tasty and was served quickly to our (quite large) group. They had even taken the trouble to decorate the tables in advance with cheerful napkins, balloons + a garland and mothers received a festive dessert including a birthday serenade throughout the restaurant. Really great, thank you!

Greek restaurants are not at the top of my list of places to go. This is because it's simply not to my taste. Finally we decided to go here. The reason for this was that we have heard positive stories about it, it is always busy on weekends when we walk past it and the reviews are also positive. All this means that if you live in the area you must have eaten there at least once. It must be said that the food is really good. The meat was extremely tender. The puff pastry in the starter was very fresh and the service was friendly and prompt. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the dessert. We had a board with a piece of everything desserts. The desserts were a bit flat in taste and therefore not very special. Furthermore, a great restaurant to go to, extensive menu at reasonable prices.

We ate here with a large group, adults and children. Indicated in advance that we were coming with a birthday boy. On arrival our table was decorated, very thoughtfully and we were pampered for the rest of the evening. Good food, good service and relaxing. Park in one of the two parking garages next door. Recommended!

Had a delicious meal on my grandfather's birthday. The food was tasty, the service was friendly. We asked, they turned. The food was also very tasty. Shrimp and Keftedakia as a starter and satay and gyros as a main course. During dessert I mentioned that it was my grandfather's birthday and it was celebrated very nicely. And the latte machiatto was also as it should be (good)! At the end we paid €138.35 for the three of us (about €46 per person), but given the service we rounded it up to €145. I accidentally gave €165 in cash, so a waitress came to tell me and gave me a twenty back. Look, I really think that's honesty and top service on top of an already good evening. Even if the food had not been tasty, you would still have received 4 stars because of the service, but now it is 5!

Onze eerste keer bij Plateia, op doordeweekse dagen is er een aanbieding voor 3 gangen diner. De keuze van voor, hoofd en nagerechten zijn ruim voldoende. De kwaliteit is prima en de hoeveelheid was erg groot. We werden prima bediend door een alleraardigste jongedame. We zullen hier zeker terugkomen.

Food was good, but vegetables with food could be a bit better. Enough meat. At the entrance I would change something where I was sitting, it was not nice to have a cold wind on your neck. At some point I put my jacket back on. A solution could be to place a screen on the couch so that you have a windbreak and you no longer have to wear a coat to avoid the cold that blows on your neck every time customers come in or leave.

Delicious food! It was busy when we arrived but we were given a table within a minute. Large portions, cozy atmosphere and perfect service. Not the cheapest but great value for money.
