The rendang and nasi rames were really delicious. Especially the beef soto, the meat was very tender and I immediately liked it. The staff were also very friendly. Thank you mas Agus and Iva for your hospitality. Oh yeah, the Malang meatballs were also really good. Next time when I travel around Europe and pass by Amsterdam.. I have to try the food here..

Food is quite tasty, get the lunch box very often. However, you can add more rice, noodles or noodles. Everything is really tasty and so tasty that it goes away quickly, so an extra 20-50 grams would be nice. Definitely recommended👍🏼

For €11.50, you get a complete meal. Unfortunately, the meal is rather sparsely filled. You can choose two kinds of vegetables. I could count the five halved Brussels sprouts, and the five green beans too. You can also choose two kinds of meat. Unfortunately, that meant for me four pieces of chicken and three pieces of braised beef. This means you mainly eat rice. When I asked if I could add some more chicken to fill the container, I had to pay an extra €5 for the extra chicken, bringing the meal to €16.50. All in all, I wouldn't rush back. The taste was good, but I think the price you get is really subpar. Asian restaurants in Amsterdam city center fill the same container much better for the same price.

Outrageously small portions. Half a spoonful of meat, and even extra paid chicken is hardly anything. Chicken legs? Two mini pieces. Vegetables just as meager. €30 poorer and absolutely dissatisfied. Let me know if the portions improve, then I'll come back. Taste is fine

An absolute must for lovers of Indonesian food. The meals are fresh and very tasty. The friendly service completes the experience. Really delicious food! I will definitely come back here!

Got food for €32. A bowl of rice, and 2 small bowls of chicken and a small bowl of green beans. Truly ridiculous, so little for that amount and the rice is not even cooked, still hard. Never again! My family is from Indonesia so I know what I'm talking about. Seems like they are only there to line their pockets.

Pondok Java had taken care of the catering for my party. The dishes were incredibly tasty, varied and just the right amount (no waste food). Nicely served with wayang dolls for decoration, to get into the style. Menu and the cozy rug completed the buffet. I can highly recommend Pondok Java.

Delicious dishes both hot and cold

There is extremely little bragging. It's almost embarrassing. 3 pieces of eggplant counts as 1x vegetable… Too bad because the food is super tasty. Don't know if I'll be back...

Got food yesterday, was disappointed when the pieces of meat were being counted, dry and little taste! And you get very little of everything. Very unfortunate.

Delicious! Love the rendang and eggs. Wish they had karadok. Take away only but they will heat it up for you.

Our weekly foray into Thai cuisine!

Been coming here for years, the food is really tasty, but everyone (me and the people I regularly take with me to choose their own dishes) notices that when ordering a meal, cubes of meat are not counted these days. They take a shovel and then literally always put something back. That's quite a shame if, for example, you order sweet and sour chicken and there turned out to be only vegetables on the spoon. The food is great, but apart from the rice you get fewer and fewer dishes. I completely understand why a price increase is being implemented, but paying more and getting less is really going to cost them customers. But they haven't lost us, so let's order extra, because the food itself is great!

Broodje (spicy beef) was so good. Super friendly staff. Very good prices. Great stop in the center of Weesp! Edit: and also open on Mondays!!!

That's really good Indonesian food. Fresh and well seasoned. Just sharp enough in taste and affordable. Ten times better than the ready-made one from a Chinese takeaway. Delicious !!!

Lekkere gerechten, ruime keus. Wel prijzig.

Je zou het deze zaak zó graag gunnen: hier bij een echt Indonesisch afhaalrestaurant je geld uitgeven, al was het niet in de minste plaats dat Chinese restaurants niet eens een heerlijke rendang weten voor te schotelen. Pondok Java schotelt wél heerlijke rendang voor, maar daar kleeft een prijskaartje aan... Pondok schotelt lekker etenvoor, maar rekent alles per ons af, al is het ook mogelijk om een maaltijd te bestellen waar je als klant wel een beetje sturing kunt geven in keuze van groente en vlees (of vis). Maar, waag het niet à la carte te gaan: dat kan aardig aantikken: Garnalen met petehbonen in kokossaus kosten € 4,75. Per ons! En da's dus zónder rijst, mie of bami... Begrijp mij niet verkeerd: Pondok is een aanwinst in Weesp en heeft een monopolie op de Indonesische keuken hier, maar is erg aan de prijs én maakt soms een foutje... Je moet je gerecht aanwijzen op afstand in een vitrine en soms gaat daar iets mis. Nou hou ik wel van verrassingen, maar niet op die manier. Het eten? Daar draait het om. Met een keuken in Almere weten ze heerlijk eten te serveren. Wonderlijk, en knap, want het wordt er dus niet ter plaatse bereidt. Zouden de prijzen schappelijker zijn zoals bijv. in Amsterdam Oost, zou ik hier zeker vaker komen afhalen...

Heerlijke gerechten te koop. Als we in Weesp komen stoppen we hier extra om wat lekkers mee te nemen naar Hilversum.

Verrukkelijk eten gehaald. Origineel Indonesische keuken. Ruim voldoende te eten voor een redelijke prijs. Moeten alleen redelijk lang wachten, omdat er maar 1 persoon aan het helpen was (kwam er later nog 1 bij). Kom zeker nog een keer terug.

Jammer weer een lange haar in de super lekkere rendang...

Zeer lekkere Indonesische Roti gegeten.

Alternatieven in de regio zijn Indische toko's in Diemen en IJburg, maar Pondok Java is absoluut mijn favoriet. Goede smaken tegen een redelijke prijs en vriendelijk personeel. Ik doe er alleen zelf nog extra groenten bij, maar dat doe ik eigenlijk bij alle afhaalmaaltijden.

Gezien het daar rond etenstijd altijd zo druk is, had ik er heel veel van verwacht. Maar het is me zwaar tegengevallen.

Fantastisch eten voor een goede prijs. Vriendelijke mensen die met je meedenken.

Altijd heerlijk eten en vriendelijk personeel. Komen hier vaak terug voor een lekkere bak eten. Wij zijn enorm fan van de sweet & sour chicken. Echt een aanrader! Overal 5 sterren voor ons.

Het eten doet me altijd denken aan de goede oude tijd dat ik veel bij mijn oma op bezoek kwam en een lekkere maaltijd voorgeschoteld kreeg. Helaas woon ik tegenwoordig aan de andere kant van Nederland en kan ik niet meer zo vaak bij haar op bezoek. Dit is het beste alternatief, dank jullie wel lieve mensen van Pondok Java :)

Heerlijk Indisch eten af te halen. Vriendelijk.

Hier komen ook de mensen met een Indonesische achtergrond om de gerechten die hun moeder maakte te proeven! De beste deal is een bami/nasi/mihoen goreng rames speciaal: vooral de bami is lekker pedis en het zijn ruime porties. Niet te vergelijken met Chinees-Indische restaurants, dit is echt Indonesisch! Uiteraard is een combi met andere gerechten ook een aanrader!

De keuze is reuze maar we namen toch een eenvoudige bami rames waarbij je twee soorten groente krijgt en twee soorten vlees mag kiezen. Alles vers bereid en goed op smaak. Heerlijk. Aanrader: Rendang en Bali rund, lekker pittig.

Wij halen bijna wekelijks een maaltijd bij Pondok Java. Nooit teleurgesteld, altijd authentieke smaak.
