Punjabi Rasoi in Wijk 01 Centrum Zeist

Last Friday, we spontaneously dined here with a family of four. It was truly an experience...extremely friendly service...very tasty food with explanations and guidance from the chef (even after the superb meal, he came to ask if the flavor and spiciness met our expectations). Punjabi Rasoi is also very affordable, which is a plus...We will definitely go again!!!

This must be the best indian in the Netherlands. We are unbelievably lucky to have this place in zeist. They installed a proper tandoori oven so all the tandoori stuff is amazing.

Last July 17th, the two of us enjoyed a delicious, authentic Indian meal. The Lamb Roganjosh and the Paneer Makhni were delicious. And the atmosphere and friendly service made it perfect. This was a culinary discovery for us in Zeist. We'll definitely be back!

Just before closing time, two dishes were prepared for us. And what a surprise when we got home! We thoroughly enjoyed our Lamb Vindaloo and Lamb Saag. Thank you so much for your service. You'll definitely see us again. It was delicious!

Very friendly staff and authentic, delicious Indian food!

We ordered catering for 40 people, including two veggie appetizers, two veggie main courses, and two chicken main courses, along with raita and Indian ice cream for dessert. Excellent! Warming dishes and tableware were included. Plenty of food was provided, and everything was arranged well and on time. See you at the next party!

What a fantastic Indian restaurant! The food is always delicious – fresh, full of flavor, and lovingly prepared. You can really taste the authentic Indian spices and recipes. The staff are also always super friendly and customer-focused. You feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good Indian food!

I recently ate here with a few friends. The service was impersonal and rushed. We found the food a bit odd, but we were told they used fresh ingredients. On the way home, we felt sick, and once we got home, we basically just sat in the bathroom. The next day, I called in sick, so sick I was from the food. You won't see me there again.

Butter Chicken was more like oil chicken. We also had an eggplant dish without eggplant. Both dishes were crap. Starter and naan were very mediocre.

Finally a really top restaurant in Zeist. Have had it several times and ate once in the restaurant itself. The food is excellent and of our dining experiences in restaurants with cuisine a la Punjab, this is really the best. Great people and ditto food. This is a destination and must go for foodies!

After having eaten once with great taste in the restaurant, we in good faith picked up 2x butter chicken and 1x tiki masala with naan this weekend, but unfortunately this was quite disappointing. Both dishes tasted exactly the same (like Tiki) and the chicken fillet was very sparse (5 pieces per dish...).

We had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. The food is super tasty and prepared with passion and the owners are very friendly. In short, what a wonderful place that I would recommend to everyone! The only disadvantage is that after your visit to the restaurant you are left with a pungent smell of spicy food around you. A better working extraction could be an improvement.

Last week I had dinner at Punjabi Rasoi, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, we received a warm and welcoming welcome from the friendly staff. The service was excellent; the staff were attentive and gave us good recommendations about the menu and the origins of indian street food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and rich in spices, just as you would expect from real Punjabi cuisine. For lovers of spicy food, there was a wide choice of dishes with a big kick, but also milder options for those who prefer that. The butter chicken and garlic were my favorites – perfectly seasoned and full of flavour. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with beautiful decor reflecting Indian culture. All in all it was a great culinary experience, and I will definitely come back here! An absolute must for anyone who loves Indian food!

What great food. I had the chicken tikka. In a word, fantastic. Wonderfully tender chicken, super well seasoned, rice was delicious and the sauce with potato was also perfect. All in all a great taste sensation. Lovely people who prepare the food with love. Highly recommended for take away but also to eat in the restaurant.

More than delicious authentic Indian food. Fresh and made by the owner himself - in the open kitchen - with love and you can taste it! The hostess - the owner - makes you feel as if you are sitting at the table at their home. Thank you for the delicious food and the fun. We feel satisfied. And the Indian tea is delicious to drink during our ride home.

Today I got food from Punjabi Rasoi for the first time. It was very tasty. Beautiful fragrant rice, butter chicken and lamb roganjosh. We will definitely get there more often. The decor is very cozy.

Very nice and enthusiastic (think) owner, I was proud to see how the oven works in which the naan bread is baked. In these types of small companies I like to order the chef's specialty, I ate a dish with chicken and it tasted delicious. I read in the reviews that the portions would be small. I have not experienced this. I understand that when people compare this with a Chinese restaurant they find the portions meager. More than enough for me and I have some left over.

A small, typical Indian, local eatery with very friendly owner and his wife. The food is of high quality, very tasty and sufficient. In the evening you can easily park in front of the restaurant. You can eat there and take away. I will definitely come back again.

Tried the thali through social deal. The food was delicious with many different choices. We got a plate with two main courses, a starter, rice and salad.

We ordered the Indian rice table via SocialDeal and that was quite a disappointment. A prison tray was placed with tiny pieces of meat and veggies. Tasty, by the way. When asked for a glass of tap water, a bottle of spa blue was put down and I find that rather inappropriate. The price/quality ratio was therefore very skewed. We actually felt quite cheated and reported this to SocialDeal.

we decided to book directly at the restaurant and not through social deal, as we prefer to pay more and get a nice full plate, not just a small portion to try, as you get when you book through a social deal. unfortunately that was not the case and the test was very mild if you want to try some real Indian cuisine

Had a delicious meal today with the two of us. Small family restaurant and takeaway with a small number of tables for a total of 16 people. An open kitchen where everything is made on site. Delicious Samosa eaten in advance with a little spice. Then we had a delicious mango lassie and of course a Cobra bear for dinner. The garlic naan is made on site in the tandoori oven. We tried two different Lamb curries and they were both delicious with good fragrant rice. After our meal we were invited to take a look in the small kitchen and the owner made a naan for us on the spot to show us how it is prepared. In short, a nice little restaurant (which you can easily drive past) with delicious food and reasonable prices with friendly owners. Definitely recommended, because we have already eaten in many Indian restaurants.

I never will come back ! I pay 18 euro for this what you see on photo, this is joke 6 small pieces of chicken rest is rice and sauce, cost of the food what I receive is max 5 euro... btw. Butter chicken sauce should have totally different colour . I'm really sad because I was thinking this place is nice, looking for score in Google.

We walked in here on a warm day and immediately felt like we were in India. Here the food is fresh and homemade. We had the chicken thali and the vegetarian thali, tasted fantastic. With a special mention for the spicy dahl. The friendly owner recommended us a delicious dessert and offered us a chai on the house. We enjoyed!

Cycled past here many times and it smelled so good. Well, the food was delicious too. To be repeated! I don't know if eating on site is nice, because I saw people waiting for takeaway, maybe they could be shielded with a nice room divider or curtain 🙂 but that is my personal opinion. Delicious Indian food. Finally an Indian restaurant where I really like to eat/take away! Very friendly people. We had a nice chat and I even received some spicy peppers when I asked the open question whether that was possible! So far I have eaten the lamb vindaloo and lamb roganjosh. Delicious. Next time a chicken dish! Just had it delivered too. Recommended to take away and not order via Thuisbezorgd! They charge extra costs on top of the pick-up price and then pocket even more money! We were shocked by this, but a friendly employee of Punjabi Rasoi explained it to us over the phone. Good value if you pick up :)

authentic Indian atmosphere, it reminded me in many ways of the time I was in India. It's really a food cafe, so the atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. And the food is very good, I have eaten at many Indian restaurants in Utrecht and this one is really better in comparison. I recommend it to everyone.
