I come here on every trip to Amsterdam .. which no is every 2 months.. The food is so fantastic and I highly Recommend the Afghani chicken apps .. they truly melt in your mouth . For the mains of you can handle some heat .. definitely try the Balti chicken.. and it all pairs perfectly with a Kingfisher

Had high expectations due to the amount of positive reviews, but was a bit disappointed. The starter was good, but the main course was not good. The butter chicken tasted blend and the garlic naan also wasn’t special. The staff is friendly and the service is good.

We had a delicious meal. We had the dani puri as a starter. The main course was butter chicken, white rice, and naan. For dessert, we had the phirnee brulee. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend it. The butter chicken was the best. Definitely recommended! The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the room was rather overlit and the music lacked atmosphere. This detracted from the ambiance, but the food remains excellent.

The restaurant seemed disorganized from the start. Reservation was lost, seating confused, and staff unsettled. Dishes came lukewarm, flavors missing, and the bill contained errors. Management offered little apology or remedy for the poor experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was shocked by the poor hygiene and sloppy presentation. The bread tasted stale, salad wilted, and glassware had spots. The server was dismissive and slow to respond. For the price charged, this level of service is unacceptable and disappointing.

Our recent meal here was a disaster. Several dishes arrived late and at different times, one was clearly reheated, and the staff offered poor apologies. Cleanliness seemed lacking and the kitchen's organization appeared chaotic. I expected much better from a place like this.

Nothing but 5 stars! The butter chicken was top notch and perhaps the best I’ve had. Oh and the sizzling brownie the perfect cherry on top.

Especially bartender Noor, soo warm and hospitable! Quick service and very clean. Would recommend trying the Subzi Diwani Handi.

The welcome is friendly and attentive, the service is quick without being rushed, and above all… the food is truly excellent. The flavors are authentic, the portions generous, and you can tell the ingredients are of very high quality. Special mention goes to the curries: perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. You'll find the full range of Indian spices without ever being overpowering; unless you take on the "spicy" challenge! 😉 A little tip: when the waiter mentions a "spicy" dish, it's a real challenge for them… and they're not kidding! The heat level increases significantly, but for thrill-seekers, it's definitely worth it. In short, a great place in Amsterdam to discover or rediscover Indian cuisine in a pleasant and friendly setting. I highly recommend it!

The decor—soft lighting, intricate wall art, and polished furnishings—creates a luxurious yet welcoming ambiance, perfect for a special evening. The only ambiance issue arose later, noted below, but the setting was otherwise impeccable. The Masala Poppadoms were exceptional, crisp and perfectly spiced, paired with vibrant chutneys that burst with sweet, tangy, and spicy notes. The Chicken Balti was a highlight, with tender chicken in a rich, well-balanced sauce that paired beautifully with basmati rice. However, the Banarasi Tikki Chaat was average, lacking the tangy zest expected of this street food classic, needing more tamarind or yogurt. The Mango Lassi was refreshing but too thin, missing the creamy thickness of a traditional lassi. My waiter, Chandan Kumar, was outstanding, delivering impeccable service with warmth and professionalism. Attentive yet unobtrusive, he offered insightful menu knowledge, answered questions about dishes, and ensured every need was met, making me feel truly valued. His enthusiasm and attention to detail elevated the experience significantly. The only notable issue was the restroom’s motion-sensor lighting, which repeatedly turned off, plunging the space into darkness. This could be problematic for guests with vision or mobility issues and needs adjustment for accessibility and safety. Rasoi Amsterdam is a gem for Indian cuisine lovers, with standout dishes and exceptional service led by Chandan. The minor issues with the chaat, lassi, and restroom lighting are small compared to the overall excellence. I highly recommend Rasoi and look forward to returning!
