Had to wait 45 minutes for 1 fries and a hamburger, where even the fries weren't warm... and it wasn't really busy.

We don't pick up often, but it turns out that when we do, the order is incomplete nine times out of ten. It seems like the employees are trained to always give less than what was paid for. It seems very unreliable to me. The quality is okay, but the service is terrible.

De kwaliteit is echt veel beter geworden, en de efficiency van de medewerkers ook. Mijn favoriete snacktent waar ook nog eens heel lekker (soft)ijs verkrijgbaar is.

After our order didn't go through on Friday due to a combination of circumstances, we contacted the pit stop. We were very disappointed, but after talking to the owner, we came to a good solution. In fact, it was much more than they had to do! Tonight, we enjoyed the delicious schnitzel menus we'd been looking forward to since Friday. 😉

The employee said on the line that the food was ready and half an hour later we called back and she said the food still had to be made, the lady got angry and hung up and half an hour later the food only arrived, ridiculous waiting time 2 hours

You pay 9.95 for a children's menu, it's ridiculous how expensive it is, and instead of apple sauce they gave me mayonnaise, there was no ice cream so I went back to ask if ice cream was included or not because a few months ago I did get ice cream, the girl behind the counter said "yes it is included but it wasn't on the receipt". So when I did get it I found out at home that there was no drink included. Come on pit stop, this is not possible for that price. When I order a children's menu I expect: fries, snacks, apple sauce, drinks, and maybe a toy for the kids or a sweet. I was helped by 29 Niek. I understand that he still has to learn how the cash register works but the people who prepare the meals don't think either.

Waited more than 2 hours for the food. After a phone call, the lady said it was on its way. After half an hour it was not there again while we live 5 minutes away by bike. At a quarter past 8 the delivery person arrived while we had placed an order at a quarter to 6. It is really bad service, no apologies or anything like that. Don't understand the bad reviews. My partner and I come here regularly, often use the website to order in advance and payment works great. We often take the food home but you can also eat inside or outside. The staff is super friendly, all of them but especially the slightly older man (I think the old owner)! 1 tip for the reader to try: the Greek Schnitzel or the normal one, so delicious! Beautifully renovated shop, large terrace, friendly staff and delicious stew! They make their own ice cream in the summer, very tasty!

Stood at the cash register for fifteen minutes waiting for the employee with brown hair that was in a bun, there was a whole line behind me, the lady in question did not even make eye contact let alone say a word to us as customers that she was a bit busy and would be there soon! Bad service! The lady also had a very arrogant attitude and her mood was evident on her face!

On the way home from Schiphol, it is always tempting to go to the 'Golden M', especially after a holiday - but don't do this and just leave the highway to make a pit stop at De Pitstop, you won't regret it (we did this too). A neat tent on the inside, not super attractive but neat. Staff is friendly works well. Ate outside, beautiful terrace. Large plates of fries (fortunately no containers) and generous portions of sauce. The Mexicano and noodles were delicious, as were the chicken satays (large pieces of meat). Delicious food and definitely recommended!

We ordered 2 Flemish fries, 1 small, 1 large. Didn't notice any Flemish fries, they were regular fries, for which you paid more. The portions were of equal size, and the fries were as hard as rocks. It was inedible! We won't do this anymore!

I thought it was better in the past, but the fries are still very tasty.

Ice cream purchased on April 4, 2025. To surprise my wife with an ice cream, I stopped 700 meters from home and I can't help but notice that it didn't arrive well. That was much appreciated, but we thought the quality was quite poor, not worth 1.75 euros per ball at all. From now on, people will walk straight past this door of the ice cream parlour. The lady behind the counter is friendly and cannot be faulted. The ice cream was actually not worth a star.

We gaan hier regelmatig heen voor broodje pikante kip en de Max (i.e, ras) patat. Vandaag 7 maart ook. Mijn pikante kipbroodje was lekker, alleen duurde de rest te lang en had ik het al op voordat de patat en het broodje frikadel speciaal voor m'n partner werden gebracht. Inderdaad allemaal lieve jeugdigden die er werken, maar die kunnen nog niet plannen. Is bekend van pubers 😀 Enig overzicht van emand die wel kan plannen (een volwassene?) ter plekke is duidelijk nodig. Volgens ons nieuw servies en meubilair. Zijn daarvoor de prijzen verhoogd?

After receiving half orders again and again, unprecedentedly high prices for sad amounts of food and to make matters worse, even undercooked fries are served! The end of the pit stop era has arrived. Times come and go, but the time for the pit stop to go has come.

Strangely bad thing, I have the feeling that only students work here. They also regularly adjust the opening hours, such as today, when they suddenly open at 4 am instead of 12 noon, probably because they were unable to arrange staff. I don't come here anymore.

There was 1 staff member behind the counter in a stocked snack bar. It was a very long wait for the order to be ready. The not so cheerful man behind the counter found it difficult when someone asked for an extra spoon with an ice cream. When we arrived home, the order was wrong again. A lesson not to go to the Pitstop snack bar anymore. I prefer to drive a few kilometers to Kockie, for example. Everything always goes well there.

It's remarkable how much effort you have to put into finding a simple price list. Lucky for them because then you'll be scared shitless! If you find it, the frikadel costs 1.60, now 2.25. Large fries 2.50, I don't know what size I got because it was 2.75. Just make sure the price list is up to date! How difficult can it be. But 10 euros for 2 fries and 2 frikadellen, both without sauce....I don't think it's normal anymore.....

Ik sluit me volledig aan bij de andere review van augustus. Er is altijd wel wat fout of vergeten. Alleen maar jong personeel, zijn stuk voor stuk erg lief, maar supervisie ontbreekt qua kwaliteit van de bereiding. Eten wordt niet met liefde bereid en ingepakt. Kroket valt altijd uit elkaar. En duurder dan de andere snackbars in de omgeving. De zaak zelf ziet er steeds mooier uit, maar dat moet wel op je bord terug te zien zijn. Pitstop is om de hoek, maar ik ga alleen nog maar in een “noodgevalletje” hier heen. Mij zijn ze kwijt.

Total only 3 stars, due to the price. They don't have 'small fries', but they do have medium and large ones. That is already impossible, to be the middle one there must also be a smaller one. But for two medium fries and two special frikandel you pay 3.10 and 3.30 euros more than at two other fries shops I sometimes visit. And at those two other fries shops, a small fries are a lot bigger than a medium fries at De Pitstop. The Pitstop is quite expensive for small portions. The amount of sauce + onions with the frikandel is also relatively little. The taste was good, but tastes differ of course.

Ik bestel een grote patat en krijg een half bakje. Ik bestel een rundvlees kroket en ik krijg een vieze kroket die ik niet wil. Elke keer maken jullie fouten in de bestelling en elke keer weer de prijzen verhogen. Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt ik ben klaar met de pitstop. Was echt mijn favourite tent maar jullie bakken er niks van. Zet geen 15 jarige in je zaak altijd gezeik

Used to be a nice place, now bad service. The entire order is forgotten, croquettes are delivered crushed, part of the order is forgotten. Compensation is an exchange or subsequent delivery, not an option for us if they are already an hour late and the toddler needs to go to bed. Unfortunately no other compensation. After a year I placed another order, because of convenience (was at home with 5 children). Unfortunately something was forgotten again. I called immediately, but delivery was not possible, I could come pick it up or get my money back. Picking up was not an option, so I asked for a refund. A week later I did not get the money back, I emailed twice but received no response. Very unprofessional, this was definitely the last time.

Delicious ice cream in the ice cream parlor, always! We like to cycle for that.

I think the food at this snack bar (plaza de pitstop Den Hoorn) is really great, it is delivered hot when you order it and it always comes quickly. I have lived in Den Hoorn for quite a long time now and I never go to another snack bar. I am very satisfied with this snack bar! Keep it up!!

Wij vinden de kwaliteit enorm achteruit gegaan. Met name de hygiëne was erg slecht. De vloer was ontzettend smerig op meerdere plekken in deze zaak. Ook het eten zelf was teleurstellend, de gehaktbal was zwart van kleur. Personeel was jong en zeker heel vriendelijk.

They have a delicious frapachino there or whatever it's called🤭, but it's so tasty, and just a nice place to just eat an old-fashioned fries.

Today we picked up at the pit stop cafeteria and unfortunately this was not a great success. We ordered a meatball sandwich and it was without exaggeration the worst meatball sandwich ever. We let 3 different people taste this to see if it was not the person's fault and that is not the case. Then we called the cafeteria and told the story. The woman who turns out to be the owner did not apologize and she just put it in the email. She did not come up with a solution either. We have never experienced this before. Very bad service and the worst meatball sandwich!

First time I come here and never again, the shawarma tastes very strong with herbs and the fries cold and a boring atmosphere. The farmer's schnitsel was tasty.

Lower price and better quality than American corporate chains. It's fast food so I can't give 5 stars, but it's definitely worth going to for a quick casual meal.

The neologism 'Restaria' strangely enough fits exactly with this 'village happiness'. If it had been a Michelin category, those restarias, this one in Den Hoorn would have had at least one star.

Yesterday I ordered food from this snack bar with my wife, due to lack of time after work to cook for ourselves. She takes 2 large flames, shrimp croquettes and a frappe. I only have a large peanut fries. That's where things go wrong. After waiting more than 20 minutes, I took the food home. Arrived home and opened the bags and was immediately very disappointed. You can choose normal or large fries at the snack bar. I've never had such a small fries before. Unfortunately I can't add any photos, but it was just the bottom of the bag, a handful... And that for €5.50. My girlfriend didn't know what she saw. I'm not a whiner, but this was downright associative or a scam. Long wait, €20 spent and I barely had anything to eat. I immediately called the snack bar, but despite the opening time being 9 p.m., there was no answer. From now on, just detour to the old and familiar snack bar Laurens.

Vandaag weer heerlijke Vlaamse frieten met goulash kroket gehaald. Even geduld is nodig, er zijn meer liefhebbers!

Wanneer de nacht bijna valt en de straatlantaarns oplichten zoek ik altijd een plek om de avondmaaltijd te nuttigen. Normaal gesproken stelt de Pit nooit teleur en kunnen wij hier met z’n allen in de barre tijden goed terecht. Na een aantal discutabele avonden is de kwaliteit inmiddels gezakt tot het dieptepunt. Koude patat, 50 minuten wachten, onze favoriete kassière met bril die er niet is en een ongelofelijk slechte service. Men doet zich er goed aan om hier niet meer te komen. Ik waarschuw u! Vroeger was alles beter. De Pit is vergane glorie. Helaas.

This is the place to be when craving for snack food. The Dutch way. You can order fries, saté, frikandel, loempia, chicken wings, burgers, frikandel xxl, and a lot of more snacks. Coffee, thee and beverages They also have a lot of different ice cream flavors. The location is perfect. There is room to sit and eat. Not a great ambiance, but just good enough to have your snack and leave. The place needs some re-painting. Overall a good place.

Great Snackbar in Den Hoorn, fast and friendly. Sadly they don't deliver to my house anymore, so eat there less that we used to.

Heerlijke kip shoarma met broodje of als menu, Het zou fijn zijn als de site up to date gehouden zou worden

Eten is prima, maar de bezorging is waardeloos duurt veels te lang!

Wat onderbezet qua bediening, maar prima snelle hap.

Eten was goed. Personeel minder qua vriendelijkheid en netheid. Handschoentjes aan voor de hygiëne en dan iemand doodleuk zijn hand door zijn haar zien halen, vervolgens aan de neus krabben en dan verder gaan met eten inpakken etc. Was niet de enigste die met de handschoentjes even het haar goed deed trouwens. Doe ze dan uit en was wat vaker je handen. Stuk hygiënischer dan alles beetpakken met die vieze handschoentjes.

Heb ik een bestelling gedaan om 18:01 ! Kies ik om op halen staat er 18:34 ophalen , moet ik vervolgens bij het ophalen nog een 15 minuten wachten 😞 Vervolgens een zak van 4 personen die dat bij lange na niet haald pff 1 volwassen met 3 jonge kids. Echt veel te weinig en te laat ! Dus drama... Vroeger was het beter en niet te duur

Jaren niet geweest, al waren ze tweede van Nederland toen ze nog de naam 'kwalitaria' droegen. De vriendin vond de truffelburger het lekkerste broodje ooit.

Heerlijke friet ook de milkshake was verrukkelijk.

Wat een beleving heb ik vandaag gehad! De shoarma rol is een echte aanrader en het interieur van het restaurant straalt echte luxe uit. 5/7

Lekkere friet aardige mensen, mooie plek. Veel keus uit snacks, o.a. ook hotwings. Je kunt binnen en buiten zitten.

No importa si es mediodía o al atardecer, nunca estarás hambriento después de visita aquí. De helado de batidos, desde bocadillos hasta hamburguesas y más apetitosos, el menú es satiating! Precio decente comida rápida y snack bar lugar, familia, impresionante para reunirse con amigos para tomar un helado en el hermoso patio abierto (si soleado) o para sentarse dentro y tragarse hasta picaduras.

Deze snackbar heeft wat ons gezin betreft de allerlekkerste burgers in de regio! Daarnaast altijd goed geluimd personeel, ook zo prettig, ga zo door 👍🏻!
