Borrelplank was for what it cost 'meager'. Bittergarnituur was lukewarm. Took a very long time for the food to arrive. Pizza was good. Location beautiful!

Cozy terrace. Meals looked tasty. Just had a drink.

Ordered 2 pizzas by telephone and picked them up exactly at the agreed time. When we got home (5 minutes later) it was a disappointment that they were more cold than warm.

A beautiful restaurant with a terrace at the front to enjoy the tourist appearance of Veere and at the same time the intimacy of the garden terrace at the back. The consumption room is indeed on -1 (basement) floor. The food is excellent and neatly presented. Highly recommended!

We had to wait almost 2 hours before being served. The staff is not always friendly The pizzas are small and very expensive (20€) But nice location, nice view and Veere is very pretty

It took a very long time for the food to be ready. Service was friendly. The kitchen did not look structured. The food was not tasty. A tuna pizza was well filled, unfortunately with poor quality ingredients. You can taste that.

Delicious pizza, quiet place, beautiful authentic and attractive interior

Pizza was amazing. I will dream about it. The Italian cookies were so good and not to be missed. Even though it was busy they were very easygoing about accommodating us even though it was a last minute reservation. Highly recommend it here!

Just have a cup of coffee after the bike ride, and then enjoy a pastry. Personally, I think €10.50 for a waffle with cherries and its size is very disappointing.

Very attentive service, was able to get the last available table, nice ambiance and good quality food. Antipasti delicious! Plaice fillet and Ossobuco also good. Tasty wines, not special but good for the occasion and suitable. Nice Italian in a beautiful picturesque town.

Ordered Ossobucco for €30.50. A shame, the meat cold and the little vegetable and potatoes were tasteless and burnt. As a solution, the plate went back into the kitchen. The meat was hot now and the rest lukewarm. It tasted like nothing anymore. As compensation we were offered coffee, yes we didn't feel like it anymore The fun outing was ruined. And then pay well over €70 for a pasta and a sloppy/tasteless version of osso bucco. In response, the girl told us that this dish had been taken off the menu... And we paid so much for it, a shame. The service kept giving excuses, but was not authorized to act. The owner remains responsible for this happening with unprofessional staff in the kitchen!

Kopje koffie op het terras tijdens de eerste mooie dag in 2025. We zaten heerlijk in het zonnetje en genoten van het weer en de koffie. Vriendelijk personeel en goede koffie

Scandalous. “Forest mushroom soup” is tasteless canned stuff. Ditto for the small number of mushrooms we found in our soup. Tourist trap that you should definitely stay away from.

We hebben een super fijne en gezellige avond hier gehad. Deze heren hebben dit restaurant in het voorjaar overgenomen en zijn lekker fanatiek bezig. Vooraf hebben we sampi gegeten. Jummie en als hoofdgerecht saltimbocca en dorade uit de oven. Beide goed bereid. Goede porties zodat een nagerecht er niet meer erbij kon. De pinot grigio erbij was lekker! Kortom...wanneer gaan we weer.

The nicest Italian in Veere. Great pizzas and much more. In the summer there is a beautiful terrace at the harbor and a cozy garden terrace behind the restaurant.

Heerlijke locatie aan 't water, vriendelijke vlotte bediening en een eenvoudig maar lekker eten. Meer moet dat niet zijn :-)

After our visit to the museum we came for coffee. Delicious coffee and pastries. Atmosphere was good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, you get the feeling that you are in Italy. Staff were friendly and helpful..

Were there on a beautiful sunny day, of course with many other guests. Ordered an iced coffee and what can I say, it was perfect. Rarely have I had such a good iced coffee. Unfortunately, the service was heavily overloaded and everything took a little longer. Beautiful view over the harbor of Veere! Always my pleasure :)

Hello, I'll be at Verse Meer again for a week in August 2024. The day before yesterday I had dinner with friends at Restaurant 1611. It looks so invitingly beautiful. It's also nice to sit outside with a view of the harbor and the boats. Unfortunately we must have had a bad day. Reservation was not possible. So we went at 7 p.m. without a reservation. The employees immediately seemed tired/exhausted. Drink order after 10 minutes. Food came 40 minutes after ordering. One of the pizzas (first picture) was burnt black in many places. The employees were not attentive. Ordering more drinks was difficult. The pasta was delicious. You must have had a bad day. Unfortunately….

Onlangs hebben wij hier als gezin plaatsgenomen op het terras. Helaas geen goede ervaring voor wat betreft het personeel. We hebben 15 minuten aan een tafel gezeten zonder dat er ook maar iemand naar ons keek of ons begroette. Uit eindelijk zelf maar hand opgestoken en toen spatte de vriendelijkheid er ook totaal niet af. Ik ben nog nooit zo onvriendelijk te woord gestaan. Aangezien we met hongerige kinderen zaten was een andere optie niet snel voorhanden dus hebben hier toch gegeten. Pizza's kwamen snel en waren erg lekker. Al met al geen fijn gevoel aan over gehouden.

Leuk plekje om te zien, maar te druk voor de keuken en de bediening. In het begin (18u) viel het mee, maar vanaf 19u werd het druk en was het niet leuk meer. We hebben ruim een uur gewacht op het dessert en zagen meer boze hoofden om ons heen. En neem hier in geen geval de mosselen, daar word je ziek van.

Delicious lunch with a view of the harbor of Veere. Not cheap, but very good quality.

The setting is great. A lovely city with a lot of boats and italian food brings a smile bavk to my face. The pizza however didn't bring back the memories of Italy.

Food was great! We had a snack board ourselves and it was delicious and richly filled. And it looked really good to the neighbors too. But we were not at all pleased with the girl who served us: she took far too long and it seemed as if she was not interested in us at all. Ordered Limoncello spritz, but it didn't taste like anything. Seemed like way too much spa red added. Fortunately, the borrelplank made up for a lot this afternoon :-).

Erg lang moeten wachten totdat we konden bestellen, bij zowel voor- als hoofdgerecht. Gamba’s als voorgerecht en deze waren lauw. Pasta pesto als hoofdgerecht en deze waren evenals niet meer warm. Erg jammer. Service kan vele malen beter.

Good quality, nice service, great view. A bit too expensive for my standards, but it could simply be that the price level in Germany is different.

A priori very nice except that... we don't know what's going through their minds, but in the middle of July, they close the kitchen at... 8 p.m., while the whole street is teeming with people. As a result, we had to leave this magnificent city to go eat a snack at the McDonald's in Middelburg. Anything.

Very friendly and competent service, appealing ambience, both inside, in the "warmed" courtyard, and outside on the terrace with a view of the sailing and motor yachts. In addition to a pizza offer, there are also very tasty pasta dishes and little things for in between.

Restaurant 1611 is located in the beautiful town of Veere. After a little stroll through the city, we (5 people with a dog) looked for a nice restaurant and found Restaurant 1611. The ambience is very well maintained and that Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Quality and taste were great. Rarely have I had such good pizza and pasta!! We will definitely come back on our next visit to the city!! Many thanks to the whole team!!

Only recommended! :) The first thing we noticed was the ambience. The restaurant is located directly at the harbor of a cute village. Old building has been restored to a high standard. We were served by a very nice and competent lady who even trained new staff in a super transparent and eye-catching manner. It tasted exactly like you would expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. For me there was the tagliatelle with shrimps. Incredibly fresh, the sauce was homemade. All in all a very nice experience.

We had a very nice meal on the terrace, we ordered cacciuco for 2 but due to a misunderstanding there was one to share. Was solved by serving 2 one after the other that we shared. For the inconvenience we received a glass of house wine for free. I didn't have to, but I certainly appreciated it. Recommended and we would love to come back!

Dit is by far het lekkerste Italiaanse restaurant dat ik ooit heb bezocht. Van de pizza’s tot de verse pasta’s en lekkere toetjes, dit restaurant heeft het allemaal. Dit in combinatie met leuk en gezellig personeel maakt de ervaring hier zeer prettig en goed.

Laatst zat ik daar op het teras met echt een goeie humeur de tomaten soep was echt heerlijk, ik kom 100% weer terug!!

Heel lekker gegeten… eerst aperitief op het terras buiten, daarna gezellig binnen gegeten. Pizza, spaghetti en ravioli.. heel lekker. Wel niet goedkoop. Vriendelijke bediening.
