Agora on the Heuvelring is a little piece of Greece in Tilburg. Delicious authentic Greek food, warm hospitality, and a cozy atmosphere with Greek music. The monthly live Greek music nights make it extra special. And of course, the famous Mr. Agora poster is a must-see. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Greek cuisine and culture. We will definitely be back! 🇬🇷

After coming to Agora for so long, here is a well-deserved review. Great restaurant, the best Greek place in the area. Prices are very reasonable, dozens of percent lower than other Greek restaurants nearby. Genuine Greek coziness, unlike the other Greek restaurants in Tilburg that function like factories. Owner Dimitri and the staff are very hospitable and personal, not cold and businesslike like other restaurants. Unique: freshly made Greek-style cocktails, for a reasonable price of €7.50. Mistakes are sometimes made, but they are always resolved. In short: A restaurant you want to keep coming back to and always feel at home at. Yamas!

First time visiting. Tasty food, good portions. Not one of those dark, niche Greek places. Plenty of staff who move around well and check regularly: is everything to your liking, more drinks, dessert, coffee, etc. Food tastes good, not TOO spicy so you can taste it all evening. Honest, natural flavors. The highlight for me: the liver... divine! Juicy, well grilled. Everything stayed nice and juicy and didn't dry out! Definitely coming back here!

We had a delicious Greek meal at Agora in Tilburg. We were welcomed by the owner with a glass of ouzo. For starters, we had mezes, followed by a Greek platter for two consisting of pitta, tzatziki, fries, and a Greek salad. Flavorful dishes, a cozy atmosphere in a beautifully decorated restaurant. We will definitely be back.

This restaurant is DEFINITELY NOT going to be the one for me! I tried to speak to the owner about it, but after a rude remark from him, it proved pointless. Upon leaving the restaurant, he wanted to verbally reinforce this by shouting angry things at me and saying, ‘You’re definitely going to write something about this!’ Indeed, I have no other choice! And my dining companion completely agrees with this review! The reservation system doesn't work at all; no clear answer to my reservation request. Upon arrival (on time!), there was already a line outside, all with reservations as well. After a while, we were actually inside and given a very unfavorable table, right by the (often open) door, just 2 meters away. A passageway that was too narrow on both sides. We were supposed to get a better table, but of course, that didn't happen. The wait staff spoke English. They didn't even understand the phrase ‘can I have the bill’ later on. The food arrived very slowly and was mediocre: not really hot, tough gyros, reasonable souvlaki but poorly seasoned, and soggy fries. Salad in an almost hot little bowl (so that bowl with lukewarm contents was clean, though!) with some vinegar. Oil was brought later because there was only a giant salt shaker and pepper on the table. Meanwhile, about 15 (!!) people were waiting for a table, some just a few centimeters from mine because of the narrow entrance! How cozy! Not at all. The bill was OK, but I'm never coming here again! There are much better Greek restaurants in Tilburg!

Had a really nice birthday dinner. I was worried about the vegetarians because there aren't many options but they really enjoyed their vegetarian plates by the chef. And for the rest of us, the grilled meats were great and the service was kind and welcoming.

We had a delicious and enjoyable meal. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. This restaurant offers a sharing menu: if there are four of you, you can choose from cold mezes and fish dishes for the starters, and vegetables and hot main courses for the main course. The dishes are then served in the center of the table, allowing you to share everything. The wines are also excellent.

I give this place only 1 star because my experience there was terrible!! On my first time eating there, a waiter was constantly flirting with me and making inappropriate comments to me and my friend. However, I did come back there with my boyfriend and this guy was still there, still making inappropriate comments; on the same night there was also a drunk man holding a knife and threatening some of the staff members till the police came. As a Greek person, I can tell that the food was not very good and the service was horrible!! The people are weird and the atmosphere is bad.

4.5 stars if you ask me! What a cozy atmosphere! Good food! Good value! The only downside is that if you just ask for a carafe of water, you get a bottle (which I didn't see on the menu, so I asked for a carafe) for which you pay €5 (without the cost being stated). But even with that minor quibble, I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again!

Really fantastic Greek restaurant, probably the best I've been to in the Netherlands! Huge portions sizes, helpful staff and outstanding food. My stand out dish was the appetizer oma's baked feta. I've never liked feta but I think I ate more than half of this dish it was so delicious.

Daha önceden dışarıda oturmak için rezervasyon yaptırmıştık , fakat yeterli eleman olmadığı için içeride oturmamız gerektiği söylendi. Menüyü verdiklerinde Flamanca olduğunu fark ettik ve İngilizce istedik son derece laubali bir şekilde googledan çevirmemiz istendi. Pirzola siparişi verdik ama köfte geldi. Tüm bunlar belli bir ölçüde tolere edilebilir. Ama orada çalışan iki erkek garsonun samimiyetle ukalalığı ayıran çizgiyi defalarca aşması yüzünden son derece kaba bir servise maruz kaldık. Asla tavsiye etmem.

Hartelijke ontvangst en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Het eten was heerlijk. Zelfs mijn zoons waren onder de indruk en die zijn doorgaans toch aardig kritisch. We komen zeker nog een keer terug wanneer we weer in Tilburg zijn 😃

The service was extremely poor. The male server wouldn't look at us when we asked him anything or placed our orders, while he almost sat down next to the women behind us while they were taking their orders. Afterwards, he only asked our female guest if she wanted another ouzo or mandarin liqueur shot. He should start his own women-only restaurant. The food was fine, but the portions were very small for the price. The Greek baclava with ice cream seemed to have been made far in advance and stored in a refrigerator or freezer, because both the baclava and my plate were freezing cold. I won't be coming back and I certainly don't recommend it!

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was not a positive experience. The service left much to be desired: everything was rushed, making it feel completely unwelcoming. We received the wrong order twice. When we pointed this out, the waiter reacted with irritation. On the second attempt, things went wrong again. The waiter practically threw the plate in front of me, forcing me to correct my order myself by removing the incorrectly placed dishes. This was downright unfriendly and completely lacking in service. The overall atmosphere was rushed and disinterested, and the food was frankly disappointing. I had hoped for a pleasant evening out, but I felt more like a burden than a guest. I won't be back.

The best Greek restaurant in Tilburg. Delicious food, lots of choice, good prices, very friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. We come here regularly and always try something new. The quality of the food never disappoints.

What a disappointment. Was here with my son. As a starter we had mussels and squid rings. They were not special. As a main course dish Artemis. A lot of gyros that was lukewarm. A minimal piece of "tenderloin" was certainly not tenderloin: tough and completely cooked. Pork tenderloin and chicken fillet were also very small pieces. Minimal amount of fries. Staff did their best but do not speak a word of Dutch outside "enjoy your meal". All in all a disappointment. I will never go here again!

Wat viel dit tegen. Was hier met mijn zoon. Als voorgerecht hadden we mosselen en inktvisringen. Die waren niet bijzonder. Gewoon standaard gefrituurd diepvries. Met saus uit een flesje. Kleine porties boor beel ge beel geld. Als hoofdgerecht schotel Artemis. Veel gyros die lauw was. Een minimaal stukje "ossenhaas" was zeker geen ossenhaas: taai en volledig doorbakken. Varkenshaas en kipfilet waren ook hele kleine stukjes. Minimale hoeveelheid friet. Personeel deed zijn best maar spreekt buifen "eet smakelijk" geen woord Nederlands. Al met al een teleurstelling. Ik ga hier nooit meer naar toe! Loop deze zaak dus snel voorbij!

We ate there twice during our stay in Tilburg. Meat, rice, fries, salad, tzatziki perfect. Reasonably priced, top location near the city center, super friendly hosts and good service. There can only be 5 stars for this. We will go there again when we come to Tilburg again.

Ate here this week. Food was okay, service mediocre. The lady walked with her legs out from under her ass and the macho man strolled around in a somewhat popular manner. Now I am biased in my own way because I find food at the Greek for a glorified shawarma place. Very large plates were served with portions spread over that large plate so 🤔🙄 meat was plenty, fries very little! So not my thing!!! No more Greek in the coming years.....😥

Made a reservation on Monday for Saturday, for my mother's 75th birthday. For 6 people. When we got there everything was full, people who had also made a reservation were already walking away. They had to wait until a table for 6 people became available, why do you make a reservation? Many customers left angry. The owner himself had also flown. We didn't wait. They didn't see us there anymore. Unfortunately, everything in the city center was full on Saturday evening. Fortunately, there was still a spot for 6 people. Delicious food there. Still a pleasant and tasty 75th birthday for my mother. had.

Spontaneously went to eat here, as the offering in Tilburg is really disappointing. That's why I know for sure that I made a very good choice. Really nice hospitality that you hardly see anywhere at this level anymore. Friendly, fast, understanding and enthusiastic. Eating your fill with really large portions for around 20 euros is something that you can only praise. If I have another concert in Tilburg, this is definitely the place I will come back to!!
