I had booked steak and fries for lunch for 8 people. When the order was taken, this wasn't known. After a long wait, we learned there were only 6 steaks. Luckily, there was beefsteak for the other two. As compensation, you paid for the bread beforehand. That was a nice gesture. The fries came first, and they were delicious. Then we waited a long time again.

We chose the chef's 5-course surprise menu. The plates were beautifully presented and the ingredients were delicious. The food was tasty and good, but it was quite salty and not balanced. The fish ceviche, for example, was too sour. The service was good, and the wines were appropriate but not particularly special. There was a long wait between courses, especially for the main course, which we had to wait 45 minutes for. A comment about this was ignored. When we asked how the food tasted, we also commented that it was very salty, and they responded that it was expected. It's a nice, quiet place with good service and okay food.

A peaceful atmosphere with a chic feel. The food was also upscale; we opted for the chef's menu and were pleasantly surprised by the fresh and delicious dishes. It's everything the name suggests (deliciously delicious) and we'll definitely be back.

A pleasant first encounter with Umai in Urk. We had a delicious à la carte lunch and chose a lovely wine. The pointed cabbage was excellent! The food was exceptionally tasty. We will definitely be back.

Exceeded expectations. The people who work here clearly genuinely want to give you a top-notch experience. They enjoy serving good food and don't mind if you have special dietary requirements. On the contrary, they see it as an opportunity to be creative and a challenge to please you. I didn't mention that I'm vegan because I thought veganism would be a bridge too far for a restaurant in Urk, by the harbor, with a menu made entirely of animal products... but that was a huge mistake. The only point: we don't need the music pounding in our ears while we eat.

On Ascension Day we had a fantastic meal at Umai. We chose the 6-course menu and each course was a party in itself – super tasty, beautifully presented and well-balanced in terms of flavours. A real treat from start to finish! What made it extra special: we were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and at dessert we were surprised with fireworks and a beautiful plate with “Congratulations, 10 years of marriage” written in chocolate. Such a sweet gesture, that made the evening truly unforgettable. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service super friendly and everything went smoothly. In short: a great place for a special evening out. We will definitely come back!

A nice mix of Asian and European food. On Ascension Day it is quiet on Urk. Also for lunch there was ample opportunity to sit here with a view of the ships on shore. The starters were nicely seasoned and the sandwich was excellently “dressed”.

Starting with the reception and service. That was great. You feel welcome and that is very important. Then you start to feel like eating. The advice about the menu was excellent and we received a good explanation of what was on the table. The food was very tasty. Very surprising flavor combinations. Really enjoyed it.

Welcoming, high-quality restaurant. Draft beer is very expensive compared to a bottle of wine. No free tap water with the wine. It was said that it was my birthday, but nothing else was done about it, nothing on the house. Will come again with the 2 of us without children for sushi. Hopefully I can give 5*.

A beautiful restaurant, nice and friendly service, but unfortunately when the table was cleared after dinner, we waited for half an hour to 45 minutes with an empty glass for the dessert menu. We got off. Shame. We passed this on and it was handled well, a discount was offered which was not necessary for us. Too bad because it wasn't very busy, this could have been prevented.

It is a restaurant without a star, but we give them 5! Delicious food, really surprising. Roeland is also great as a host and radiates that he is proud of his people. Service is fast, we were on a Wednesday evening, perhaps less busy than during the weekend, but we did not have to wait unnecessarily long for our food. As already written here several times, very tasty food. We had the lobster soup (very clever) and the Tokyo steak tartare with chili, wasabi and sprouts. Both very tasty and recommended if you're not very hungry. Nice ambience outside with a view directly of the marina. Gladly again!
