I recently visited Restaurant Céline Fort in Nieuwegein and I must say that it is highly recommended. This beautiful restaurant is located in a historic location and offers a unique and relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, complete with cozy decor and a lively ambiance. The staff were excellent, friendly and attentive, and were ready to answer any questions about the menu. But the real star of the show was the food and drink – oh, the food and drink! I ordered the **Rice Cake** and it was an absolute highlight. The rice cake was delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. I also tried the **Chicken Breast**, which was deliciously roasted and tasted like real chicken. I was a little skeptical about visiting a new restaurant, but after reading old reviews, I was excited to see that the restaurant has maintained its high standard. In fact, many reviewers have praised the quality and creativity of the dishes, and I can see why. What sets Restaurant Céline Fort apart from other restaurants is its dedication to providing a unique and relaxing experience for its guests. From the comfortable interior to the excellent service, everything has been done to give guests an unforgettable experience. Delicious food, 7-course lunch on Sunday, phenomenal. Good price-quality ratio. Service was personal and good. Chefs also occasionally came to serve a course. Special Asian twist here and there, very tasty and beautifully served. Wine pairing was also good and nice explanation. Definitely recommended. Hidden gem in Nieuwegein!

What a fantastic evening we had at Céline! We enjoyed it so much! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Super atmosphere, great dishes, delicious wine combinations and a good pace. We already had high expectations, but they were greatly exceeded. I'll definitely be back! All compliments to the entire Céline team!

Everything was right on this first visit. There were so many beautiful things on the menu that we were tempted to do a back menu, but in the end we left it at six. We had made an early reservation, so they had time to show us around and the wine cellar, definitely worth a visit. In terms of interior, they had done something beautiful with the possibilities that such an old fort offers. It is intimate, almost romantic. A beautiful place to celebrate our 3000th anniversary. The six-course menu was more than excellent and the quality was of the level for which we normally pay €30 per person more.

The food was delicious, as was the wine and ambiance. All those goodies tasted even better thanks to great service. Enthusiastic, explain well what they serve and the wine arrangement was also explained with enthusiasm. It was mainly Sanne who came to our table and sometimes someone from the kitchen came to explain a dish. A great evening!

Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. It looks attractive on the inside. The acoustics are not very nice; I heard the people on the other side of the room more clearly than my table companion, but maybe this was just for our location. The food was actually all good and very tasty, although it was not exceptional for this amount. Unfortunately the service was far below par. The service was largely friendly, but not sharp. We opted for 8 courses, but after 2 hours we had only seen 3 courses. One course was even completely forgotten at first. Fortunately, the pace increased when we pointed this out to the service. Once the wrong wine was poured, which belonged to the next dish. Twice they wanted to clear the plates while we had not yet finished eating. The explanations of the wines were incorrect or incoherent. Good food in a beautiful place, but for €300 for 2 people you really expect a better experience.

Beautiful dishes, beautifully presented and delicious flavors and structures. Nice wine list. Nice location. Service is friendly, but there are (too) many mistakes in the service for a restaurant of this level: - when pouring water several times over the edge and onto the plates - forgot bread - first dish only served after an hour - forgot to set 1 place setting (between courses) - wine only served at the table up to twice after the dish - and finally... 5.5 hours at the table is a very long time Too bad, too bad.

Excellent dishes, beautifully presented too. Friendly service, there is no lack of effort, they work hard. A bit messy: forgotten cutlery, wine after the dish, forgotten sandwich. Small things, but ones I didn't expect at this level. And it all took quite a long time: we had 7 courses, started at 7 pm and finished at half past one. And the wait staff was still cheerful. Dishes excellent, wine too.

Very special, the dishes were all beautifully prepared and above all tasty, the atmosphere was nice. Great service and you lacked nothing. The place we had could have been better, just after the entrance to the restaurant, next time when making a reservation we will also indicate that we do not want to sit there. Makes the experience just that little bit different. But that does not detract from the quality of the food!! The wines were nicely matched and even if you are not a wine connoisseur you could tell that it was all nicely matched... the cheese board is highly recommended... The selection of cheeses is really top and it is a nice ending to your X courses dinner...

Food 8/10! We found the sommelier mediocre, with little explanation about the wines. Went pretty quickly too. Also missed a personal chat at the table. We could order a bite with our aperitif, but it came together with the amuse. I thought it was quite special. When we asked for the bill, we were told "you can join the queue". Not really hospitable 😅 We thought the hostess was great - also explained the wine in much more detail than the sommelier (poured the wine once). You also had to pay extra for the cookies with your coffee - this is included in most restaurants of this level. All in all, a good meal, great atmosphere and excellent service at the table, but I wouldn't necessarily go again.

What a charming restaurant among the trees of Fort Jutphaas! We celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary on this sunny Sunday afternoon with the 'lazy Sunday lunch' concept. 8-course feast on the table! The staff is very friendly and takes the time for its guests. My gluten allergy was taken into account effortlessly. Highly recommended!

Although the Céline restaurant is in a beautiful location, our experience yesterday was mixed. Although the food was generally fine, there were some points that tarnished our experience. Firstly, there was a significant wait time between courses, which was very disruptive. Furthermore, it was disappointing that despite the mention on the website, we were not given the opportunity to take a look at the wine cellar, as advertised. In addition, knowledge about wine was limited and incorrect information was provided when we asked questions about the wine. Another concern was that we were asked to replace the sixth course with a cheese board, which we liked, but at the end of the meal it became apparent that this resulted in a significant surcharge on the bill, which was misleading. Although the food itself was of good quality, the aspects of our experience mentioned were disappointing. Hopefully the restaurant can improve on these points to improve the overall experience for guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant week 5-course Gault & Millau menu. All courses were prepared in such a way that the flavors came out optimally. The recommended wines paired perfectly with the dishes. The service was very attentive and made us feel at ease. To be repeated!

Outstanding cuisine and lovely people make this restaurant a must if you're looking for a special night out. The personal touch in service is not common for every restaurant, but here it is a welcome addition which makes everything perfect.

What a beautiful location and delicious food. We spent a whole evening relaxing here and later surprised ourselves with the food. The way there was a little adventure in the dark and rain. Park next to the building and immerse yourself in culinary surprises. The water is always replenished, the dishes come by at a pleasant pace. Choosing the cheeses for dessert is a lot of fun. We were by car, so we can't say anything about the wines. Highly recommended for those who enjoy good food in a nice atmosphere!

Tried this nice restaurant through a tip. Nice location in a fort in old Jutphaas. Take a 6 course menu with a good bottle of red wine. Excellent service, professional service and a feast of delicious flavours. Fitting together as a whole! Worth repeating. 6 courses at €80.00 wine bottle (from 35 to a lot) or package. Recommended!

We opted for lunch on Sunday from 2 p.m., well, before we knew it it was 5 p.m. and I think it could have lasted the rest of the evening!!!! All really delicious, from the appetizer to the friandises with coffee, beautiful surroundings and professional but also personal service. Top wines complete it. See you soon!!

Absolutely lovely. 5 course lunch both vegetarian and ‘regular’ were great. Good service, good wines and champagne. I would definitely recommend this place! P.s. you will most certainly not leave hungry!

Wow location! Well decorated around the holidays. Charming waiters and waitresses who do their best. Culinary food, things that you cannot make at home with practice and a little bit of talent. Parking is free. Extensive wine list.

We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at Celine. From reception to the end, the hostess was very attentive and professional. The atmosphere in the fort was very businesslike, open and roughly finished, with nice art decoration pieces. We opted for the 6-course menu, including the scallop dish. Overall we tasted Asian flavors. The elements in law were interesting. the Indonesian stew could have been a bit more challenging (Asian itself). The scallop dish with mango was super tasty, nice flavors. Overall it was a very successful evening. As a present for my girlfriend we received a pastry, these are nice details. All in all an 8.5

A gem in Nieuwegein. We had dinner here on May 16 and what an experience it was... Dinner was a 5-course champagne menu and what a surprise. This evening was a “winemakers dinner” where great dishes were accompanied by beautiful champagnes. The appetizers were a nice start for the rest of the evening. The dishes that followed were not only beautiful, balanced and very tasty, but also a perfect match for the beautiful champagnes from Besserat de Bellefon. It was a real pleasure. This restaurant and team deserve a lot of praise in terms of taste and dishes. You can eat better here than at Karel V in Utrecht, which is unworthy of a Michelin star in terms of taste. I hope for Céline that they continue to maintain the level and acquire the coveted star. They deserve it!

Geweldige avond beleefd! Ik praat een bekend schrijver na als ik zeg dat dit restaurant wordt bijgeschreven in het gouden boek van culinaire herinneringen. Alles even perfect: verwelkoming, bediening, verrukkelijke 5 gangen in een mooi oud fort. Waande mij een ridder in lang vervlogen tijden.

Dankzij de restaurantweek bij restaurant Céline belandt. Heerlijk gegeten! Alle gangen met aandacht bereid, opgemaakt en geserveerd. Dank voor de fijne avond!

Lazy Sunday lunch was zeer smakelijk (fris, zilt, spicy, kruidig) en perfect verzorgd: afwisseling originele fusion combinaties en meer klassieke. De ruime sortering friandises bij de koffie na verdienen speciale vermelding.

Heerlijk gegeten. De gastheren hebben veel kennis en zijn heel vriendelijk. Al met al een perfecte avond. We komen zeker nog eens terug!

Excellent food with great variety in their surprise and vegatarian menu. They are well aware of the common allergies like gluten and lactose intolerance. Their staff is very friendly, well mannered and professional. The establishment is located inside the old Fort Jutphaas, which itself is part of the New Holland Waterline (Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie). It provides a soothing and tranquil environment with many different fauna in the area.

Excellent restaurant gastronomique dans un cadre historique et magnifiquement décoré. Nous avons pris 2 cocktails, 2 menus en 5 temps avec accord mets vins et en avons eu pour 247€ avec l'eau, le pain et le beurre noisette maison. Tout était parfait. Le service est très efficace et généreux. Pour 37€ nous avons eu 5 verres de vin très bien remplis. Nous sommes sortis du restaurant très bourrés 😅 Notre seul regret serait de ne pas avoir eu droit aux mignardises en fin de repas.

Celine is een heel sfeervol ingericht restaurant. De bediening is geweldig en het eten echt verrukkelijk!! Elke gang is een waar feest voor al je zintuigen. Complimenten aan de chef kok en zijn keukenteam. Wat een originele combinatie van ingrediënten en smaken. Wij hebben ontzettend genoten bij Celine en raden dit restaurant iedereen aan, die van echt lekker eten houdt!

Een uitstekende avond hier gehad. Fijn ontvangst en lekkere amuses voordat het spektakel begint. Top gerechten met afwisselde smaken. De wijn was rijk van smaak en erg lekker in de mond. Dessert was goed, en de kaasplank nog beter. Een absolute aanrader dit restaurant.

Heerlijk verfijnd eten, uitstekende service, laat je vooral verrassen. Blij dat ze weer (bijna) ouderwets draaien. Binnen ruim en stijlvol opgezet. Buiten fantastisch terras voor mooi weer. Update: nieuwe chef zet koers voort met eigen creatieve gerechten.

Ik beveel nooit aan. Ervaart u zelf maar waarom ik op alle fronten het maximale aantal sterren heb gegeven...

Fijne plek op een bijzondere locatie. Martijn is een bevlogen chef met veel oog voor detail, en spannende smaakcombinaties. We werden vriendelijk bediend, en het eten was gewoonweg een feest! Alle gerechten met enorme zorg en aandacht bereid en geserveerd. Normaal betalen we niet graag voor water, maar het water arrangement (4,- pp) vonden we goed uitpakken, zeker aangezien de hele avond de karaffen en glazen zonder vragen werden bijgevuld. Geef goed vooraf aan als je dieetwensen hebt! Enige kleine teleurstelling (buiten de ietwat te koude eetzaal, maar goed daarvoor alle begrip in deze tijden!) was de wijnkaart. Niet zozeer de wijnen zelf, als wel de prijzen voelde buitenproportioneel.... De uiteindelijk bestelde NL viel gelukkig wel in goede aarde. Wij komen vast nog een keer!

Mooie locatie, de akoestiek is wat minder. Het eten was echt heerlijk, ik had het vega menu en dat was heel verrassend en lekker. De bediening was minder, wat traag, niet heel erg oplettend en wisselend van kwaliteit. Al met al voor het eten een aanrader.

Personeel is vriendelijk en vertelt er veel bij. Eten is uitstekend, wat mij betreft aantal Michelinsterren waard! Complimenten aan de kok! Verder gezellige sfeer in dit oude fort, alles ziet er mooi en verzorgd uit.
