Nice playground for kids. Prices are a bit high though.

Heard a lot of nice stories about this family restaurant, unfortunately we don't live nearby but we were in the region by chance and drove there especially to experience this. Unfortunately, upon arrival we were not attended to 'immediately' and after waiting a few minutes a lady came to us and asked if we had made a reservation, unfortunately no. In that case we were not welcome due to staff shortages (it was 1:15 pm on a weekday afternoon and not particularly busy). We left the restaurant disappointed. In the car I looked to see if we could still make a reservation and that was possible at 2 p.m., I think the employee could have indicated this. Due to this unpleasant experience we did not do this, which is a great pity.

Very poor service and customer treatment.

We arrived and waited patiently to be helped, as indicated on the sign (see photo). Staff looked at us but made no further contact and did not come to us. After waiting a while we asked a lady if someone would come to help us and she walked into the room next to the counter without saying anything. Then someone came and “shouted” from behind the cash register that we had to come there because that was the intention. You might think that you shouldn't put that sign there. Then there was an error in the system, we had reserved for 8 people (also stated in the confirmation email), but the system showed 1 person. Fortunately there was enough space. Drinks and snacks arrived quickly and tasted good. Fun bowling was fun, but the system regularly did not count points for one of us, while it went well for others. Foreign! We had a pleasant afternoon, but it's a shame about the arrival, then you start with an irritation.

Nice website, looks slick. I found it quite disappointing. Of course it's nice that the children can play, but I also think the quality of the food is important. You pay a lot for the portions you get and some things seemed reheated (the chicken from chicken pinsa). The young people serving were super friendly, it wasn't very busy, so they kept a close eye on everything! But the lady behind the cash register absolutely did not. Couldn't find a kind word. We don't do this anymore.

Beautiful atmospheric play area for the children. Have a drink on the indoor climbing frame or enjoy a nice dinner on the terrace with a view of a large outdoor playground, air trampoline and water playground. Delicious food, attentive service! Highly recommended.

Nice afternoon, good food and beautiful decoration

I really enjoyed my day with Charlie! The food was super fresh and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and stylish, perfect for a night out. The service was friendly, although it sometimes took a little too long before we were helped. Therefore not five stars, but I will definitely come back!

It was busy, so sometimes a bit of a long wait (the menu came after 20 minutes and after asking three times). Winter salad was a very modest portion and somewhat boring. Pizza Margherita for children in a cool rabbit shape, but also a bit boring and tasteless. The room itself is ideal with children. Very nice play area that you can even sit next to. There is also plenty to do outside. Excellent decoration of the restaurant area

We made a reservation here to have dinner, we came in with our 2 year old son and not knowing that there is simply nothing to do for him, because you advertise that it is fun for all children, but not so…. There is really no chance for a 2 year old to play there. All screaming children who were not corrected and children who were much too old for such play equipment. Our son immediately became completely over-excitable and we left after one drink. Shame! Not for us and it is not very suitable for young children.

Delicious food, child-friendly and convenient when you are at Roompot. Large terrace with a good view of the playground. The children's menu is quite complete but not cheap either. If you think about this, you don't need to order another drink. The surprise you receive requires a lot of imagination from your child.

It is a nice cozy place. There is plenty of entertainment with the playgrounds and bowling alley. I recommend this restaurant everywhere for the good and fast service and the delicious food. I would always come back for another meal.

It's a shame that a lot of my first two choices were gone. The main courses, which cost an average of 34 euros, do not include fries or anything else made of potato or rice, which you can order for 7-10 euros. Coke is 4.75. You would rather expect these kinds of prices in a star restaurant than a kind of Center Parcs kitchen. They added orange juice to the children's menus because they had run out of sparkling drinks and when there was no present and one of the children asked about it, they also said, guess what; on! We had a very expensive meal, everyone was disappointed and made something to eat at home because everyone still wanted something. Never, ever again for us!

Food is beyond expectations. Not cheap for a restaurant in a park, but dishes are more than restaurant worthy.

We have a holiday home around the corner and often come to Charlie's for the nice place where you can sit quietly with a drink and your children are playing at the same time. Also great in the summer with the water park outside!

Had a super fun day with the kids. The weather wasn't great, but we were still able to play outside in the playground between the showers. Inside they can enjoy themselves for a long time in the climbing frame and the fun bowling was also great fun. Food was great and ready quickly. Service very friendly and helpful!

It's a nice place, but the staff was not friendly and customer oriented. It took almost an hour to get our food and we could barely find a waitress to order drinks or dessert. When we finally ordered drinks, we got the drinks 15 minutes later. I'm not sure we will come back

After you first clean your table yourself, you can sit down. Steak does not come from the BBQ (as stated on the menu) but from a drawer. A bowl of fries and some vegetables are not included. I've never eaten worse. More of a place for pancakes or something, but those won't be fresh either. That's not their thing...

Restaurant Charlie is an ideal family restaurant! It has a large play area in the middle, beautifully decorated like a forest, which is perfect for children. You can choose to sit close to the play area or a bit quieter further away. The food is of high quality with delicious, original dishes – even the desserts are highly recommended. There is also a wide choice of drinks. Highly recommended for families with kids from 3 to 12.

Dining area with play area for the children. Food was very good but you pay for that. Children's menu is extensive and has a normal price. Playground (indoor) is very nice, but on the small side for so many people with children. All ages play together which is great fun, but it often gets wild. It is fun for children under 2, but still quite demanding and therefore requires some supervision. There are few play areas on the ground, although there is enough space for it. Thinking of busy boards for the space under the slide or a tunnel or something like that? Furthermore, it is very noisy but very nicely decorated.

Food for adults is tasty! Perhaps a bit too luxurious for this concept... I had previously thought of a chicken satay, hamburger, salmon, steak. Not too complicated. We had a table near the games area. Nice to keep an eye on our kids, but what a noise.

Op Instagram ziet het er zeer veelbelovend uit! We verbleven op het Roompot park en besloten te reserveren. “Leuk voor de kinderen”. Ze vermaken zich inderdaad wel een minuut of 10. Bediening is vriendelijk, maar bestellen moet via een tablet. Waarbij niet alle gerechten van de kaart in het menu van de tablet staan. Qua prijs/kwaliteit vind ik dit restaurant te fors geprijsd. De kinderschnitzel was enorm droog, Bavette te droog, buikspek niet lekker. Qua geluid is het intens. Overal rennende en gillende kinderen. Elkaar verstaan is vrijwel onmogelijk. Voor ons was het helaas eens maar niet weer

Went here at Christmas to entertain my sister's children during dinner so that we could have a bite to eat undisturbed. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a utopia. What a deafening pox noise this restaurant. The food is of excellent quality, but you pay for it! Everything gets mixed up anyway. I'm glad this concept exists to keep other restaurants for families with young screamers.

Lunch in the Netherlands is rarely a party. Unfortunately spoiled across the border...! Was great for a family gathering with children of all ages. Playing area for children is quite limited. Normal prices. Ample parking in front of the door.

Lunchen in NL is zelden een feest. Helaas verwend over de grens ... ! Was prima geschikt voor familie bijeenkomst met kinderen in alle leeftijden. Speelgedeelte voor kinderen redelijk beperkt. Normale prijzen. Ruime parkeergelegenheid voor de deur.

We went to Charlie's for dinner on Boxing Day. The concept is good if you are looking for a restaurant with a large group with children. But if you come to dine as a family of 3/4/5 people, this is not the place. Children run through each other, scream and shout over each other. Not a single m2 is remotely quiet. The staff works extremely hard, which means requests don't really come in. Such as extra fries or a salad. We really missed that magic/wow factor we had read about. Unfortunately not worth repeating for us.

It's noisy there, but what's not to like with an indoor playground for kids in the middle of the restaurant. Food was good and tasty! Whether I will go next time for Christmas, I don't think so. Prices are quite high for the dishes, but you can expect that at Christmas. The kids had fun and that was what mattered!

The iPads that were there were inconvenient, you didn't have much time to chat together, you were more concerned with placing orders... so it's better to have waiters walking around and put the iPads away.

We have just returned from our Christmas dinner a la carte at Charlie's. We ate carpaccio, delicious tender bavette and Surinamese roti. Cozy atmosphere, tasty food and friendly staff. Even though it was busy, it didn't feel that way.

Today (Christmas Day), we had a delicious meal. Despite the crowds, we (group of 12 people) were provided with drinks and food neatly and on time. Service was very friendly. We will definitely come back again!

Food is really expensive, you pay a lot for the main course and then pay another 5 euros for a bowl of fries and mayo, which is also a very expensive dish for the price and quality and all the ice cream is soft ice cream from a machine. As a real catering man and professional, this is really ridiculous, even a hamburger with fried onions underneath

We were very close to the playground equipment, so we had to endure more children's noise and screams than previously estimated. Request a different place next time

Love this restaurant. With three young energetic kids and dietary restrictions it's not easy to find somewhere where everyone is happy. Been to the meet Santa event and he was the real Santa. Kids were mesmerised by him and adults were also taken by him. Well done!

Charlie is more of an indoor playground with dining facilities than a restaurant, although the name 'family restaurant' probably gives that away. The atmosphere is completely aimed at children and families, which is great if that is what you are specifically looking for. The menu also reflects this and therefore offers few surprises. Compliments for the extensive gluten-free range, which was not necessary for us, but was very positive. What was disappointing was the lack of service. Nowadays you order everything via a tablet, which means there is hardly any interaction with the staff. That feels impersonal and makes it less hospitable. A solution for staff shortages, but it does detract from the experience of service. The food is really overpriced for what you get. In short: if your children want to play, this can be a handy place to have something to eat.

The Piet breakfast in Schaijk is not fun for children, it is an ordinary breakfast, hardly anything arranged for them as far as Santa and Piet are concerned

Carpacio was quite tasteless. Tournedos was very tasty. Service was not very friendly and the atmosphere was not very pleasant, especially with that tablet on the table. looks like a food shed with lots of children running loose, also quite pricey

If you like good food, then you've come to the right place! The dishes are so delicious that you almost wonder if they secretly have a secret chef in the kitchen. But… if you come with a large group and everyone has their own 'special' wishes (you know, extra cheese, no onion, extra sauce), then ordering becomes a kind of online escape room. The system seems to want to challenge you to find the right combination of adjustments – and believe me, it is not always easy. So for a dinner party with your friends who all want their own food-freak tweaks, bring a little patience. But hey, if you survive, you'll be rewarded with food that makes up for everything.

Perfect place for dinner with toddlers!

Sinterklaas activity: decorate letters Errors on the website and in the advertising mailing, different dates (13 and 15 November), a non-working reservation link preceded. On site, (it would be sold out...) an empty location and from 13 to 17 only two tables were occupied, including ourselves. The big disappointment after the magic menu: A hamburger box was placed on the table containing a mini letter with four mayonnaise containers with the same decorations as the pancake they had just before as a menu. Okay and a gingerbread, all this had to be decorated with cold and too thin chocolate sauce. Price 18.50! While a menu is normally 15.50. Oh yeah, and lunch was cold chicken and lukewarm coffee. Very unfortunate!

Wij gingen er speciaal heen om leuke chocolade letters te versieren en lekker te lunchen. Maar helaas was dit een grote flop! Met nog een andere tafel meer zaten wij in het restaurant, de uitgeserveerde chai latte was niet echt warm, en toen het eten kwam was deze ook ondermaats. De pannenkoeken van de kinderen waren lauw en de kip was koud. Toen we klaar waren met eten mochten de meiden een letter versieren. Nou slechter kan niet, een kleine letter met wat versiersels en een koude chocolade die je normaliter op een ijsje serveert, de chocolade werd niet hard en de versiering bleef uiteraard niet zitten. De meiden vonden dit echt jammer. Toen we dit melden aan de dame kregen we als antwoord, het is in voren gevuld het pipetje want als het druk is dan hebben we geen tijd, en vorig jaar deden we dit ook zo en dat was een succes. geen tijd?? Er zat vanaf kwart over 1 tot half 5 op een tafel na niemand in het hele restaurant. Dus zo’n succes zal het vast niet zijn geweest. Al met al, jammer we hebben beter ervaring met Charlie. Maar dit was echt heel erg teleurstellend en de meest slechte kinderactiviteit waar wij ooit aan hebben deelgenomen en het eten was echt uitermate slecht!!

Super cute child-friendly tent. The interior looks super beautiful and attractive. We went to play everywhere and for the first time we were able to sit comfortably and our child was able to play independently. What a wonderful experience!

The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great, the decoration is nicer than the standard environment and the children can play both outside and inside. The only pity was that the food arrived lukewarm and I had to ask for cutlery, which at one point I went to get myself to eat my almost cold food. The price was ok'ish, but I have a problem with restaurants that charge €2.50 for a rocket ice cream, these are almost amusement park prices. But that could also be due to the fact that prices are going up everywhere, so it is not entirely incomprehensible. After my comment about the lukewarm food I was offered compensation in the form of a free cup of coffee or something similar, which I politely declined, which tells me that they handle criticism well and that gives me confidence that they will improve on this , which would personally make me come back again in the future.

Had a nice meal with the children from 7 to 10 years old. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Ideal with young children, the playgrounds are in and around the restaurant. Always good here!
