Restaurant De Beren Drachten in Wijk 00 Drachten

Delicious food for a great price

Friendly service and good quality food at a reasonable price.

Delicious and affordable food with great service!

Very cozy, attentive/friendly service. Good quality food.

Had a delicious meal and drinks. Pleasant service.

The food was good, but the spareribs were boiled instead of grilled, though the spicy sauce made it taste good nonetheless.

The staff was cheerful and friendly.

Delicious food, beautiful location and cozy atmosphere

It was all well organized again at the Bears.

Had a great experience. The food was delicious and we were able to take advantage of the Saturday promotion. That was fantastic. The staff was very friendly. Definitely worth repeating.

A wonderful, fun location where you can enjoy delicious food and receive very good and friendly service ❤️❤️

I thoroughly enjoyed your delicious Satember on my birthday! Very friendly table service, they were very helpful and offered tips for dessert.

It was great and friendly service, nice atmosphere

Prompt and friendly service, good and tasty food.

The High tea was very tasty, but personally, I would have liked a bit more savory options (High tea via the Kruidvat promotion). After the food was served, no one came by to ask if everything was to our liking or if we were missing or needed anything. At a certain point, the hot water ran out.

Had to wait a long time to order, and to receive the order, the waiter was having a bad day.

The service was super friendly and professional. And they made a joke now and then, really nice. We had a delicious meal.

As soon as I cross the threshold, I feel welcome and am pampered. We had a delicious meal; I even had a bite to eat from the chefs. Thank you for a wonderful evening. You have very friendly staff and a warm, living-room atmosphere; you certainly succeeded. I have been to your place many times and will continue to do so!!

Had a delicious meal in Drachten.

Delicious apple crumble, salmon sandwich, meat sandwich, everything was tasty actually, even the tea was in cute tins Definitely worth repeating

Lovely dining on the terrace with super friendly and funny service. Highly recommended for a meal when the weather is nice.

It is a pity that when you order extra prawns, they are served on your son's plate instead of with your meal. Otherwise, tasty food and friendly staff.

Good atmosphere and delicious food

Had a delicious meal and friendly service. Worth repeating

The food was fine!! It wasn't busy, yet I had to wait quite a long time for a soft drink. When paying inside, the waitress asked where I had been sitting, even though she herself had been to our table several times, whereas only 5 tables were occupied on the terrace. They should ban smoking on the terrace. Cigar smoke over your food is unpleasant.

It is always good here, only this time we only got the fries when the meat was almost finished. That was a bit of a shame, but otherwise we had a delicious meal.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly and helpful service. The food is delicious.

Cozy, nice place! Delicious food and the mocktails were delicious too😊

We had made a reservation for my birthday, for 4 people. One person used a walker, and that was taken into account very well. We were able to chat comfortably without the music being too loud. That was very nice. Furthermore, the food was delicious. We had a very friendly waitress who really enjoyed a chat. We also didn't have to wait long for the starter and main course. The dessert came in two parts, because something hadn't come through properly. But very soon after this was noticed, the second part arrived as well. All in all, a successful evening!

It was once again a special and delightful visit. A quick shopping trip in Drachten, then I surprised my wife with high tea! Excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves together again!! Top marks, ladies & gentlemen of De Beren

Always delicious food and friendly staff, I always enjoy coming back here.

We had a delicious meal and had various people at our table who were all very friendly, so we had a great evening.

De Beren has a stylish, modern look, while the prices are surprisingly affordable. My favorite place to enjoy a drink! The mocktails are highly recommended. Additionally, the genuinely interested and friendly staff complete the experience. They love to crack a joke and create a cozy atmosphere.

All the delicious food from the high tea barely fit on the table, but everything was delicious and freshly prepared!!

Good food, friendly service, and a cozy place.

Great service and delicious food!

Despite it being very busy, we were served quickly. The food was superb!! The service was quick and attentive. Lots of attention for you. Big thumbs up!!

The food was tasty, with two remarks: - the pork satay used was very tender and cooked, but a bit too cooled down. - for dessert, I had strawberries with ice cream and whipped cream under the name "basic." The base was excellent, but due to the "extra" red syrup, in my opinion, it was far too sweet, which even led to irritated gums and palate. Next time, explicitly without syrup. But overall, I had a delicious meal in a cozy setting with service from a super hostess, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Top notch.

We come here often, but today was the worst service ever. The ladies were chatting with each other instead of helping customers. I had to walk to the bar to ask if we wanted drinks, and then she says, "Oh, I didn't see you," and then I think to myself, "You're not suitable for this job." We ordered two drinks and bitterballen. They brought the drinks without a tray (which I don't find professional), and the bitterballen didn't arrive. It's a shame we have to experience this.

Had a delicious lunch, started with a soup and then a delicious sandwich! Good service

Despite the apparent high number of staff absences due to illness, this was not noticeable to us as guests. The staff was more than friendly, and the food arrived on time. It is a beautifully decorated restaurant. Despite the crowds—the restaurant was full—both owners still made time to have a pleasant chat. Compliments to this cozy Beren restaurant.

Booking was easy. We were spoken to in a friendly manner. We were allowed to choose whether we wanted to sit outside or inside. The unlimited chicken satay was delicious! And they also thought about food waste. Three generous chicken satay skewers were served first, after which you could order one extra skewer each time! Great value for money! Very pleasant service, friendly atmosphere!

5 stars for everything... the service was very friendly despite the heat, still coming to our table with a big smile and the necessary jokes. We had a delicious meal and a lovely evening.

We had lunch via Social Deal. We reserved a table for 12:30. You could only sit outside, but that was fine, because it was warm. We were immediately told that our order could not be passed on to the kitchen because it was busy and it might take a while. That "while" was 1.5 to 2 hours. We found that very long and unacceptable. I don't think we will go here again when the weather is nice. It's a shame, really, because the food was fine.

Great value for money, friendly service.

Had a lovely lunch on the terrace, everything was great! 👌 We will most definitely come back again.

Delicious food, compliments to Margriet for the good service

I regularly go for lunch at De Beren. Sometimes via Social Deal and sometimes spontaneously. Good food at a reasonable price and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly!

Delicious spicy chicken sandwich.

The high tea included homemade items, which were super tasty, but in our opinion, there were also factory-made items included, and not all of them were equally good; either they were straight out of the freezer and tasteless, and that really detracted from the rest, which was super delicious.

The high tea was very tasty, fresh tea, and a wide selection. We weren't asked if everything was to our liking or if we wanted more water for tea. It felt a bit like: here is your high tea, make do with it. Perhaps that was because we had Kruidvat vouchers (2 for the price of 1) or due to the warm weather. In any case, we had a nice afternoon. The restaurant is very beautiful.

I had a very pleasant experience at De Beren. Everything was neat, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff were genuinely warm. I felt at ease immediately, and everything went smoothly. A place I will gladly return to.

Always a good time at De Beren! The starter and dessert were delicious! I found the chicken satay a little disappointing this time.

Had another super visit to the bears. Nice and cool in the air conditioning while it was so hot outside. The food was great again! The atmosphere was good. Enjoyed the three-course menu for a nice price.

Had a delicious meal and a Blueberry Mojito cocktail is definitely recommended in this warm weather..... it was all top-notch again!!

Relaxed atmosphere, service with a smile, delicious food.

Enjoyed the High Tea with a friend. It is a shame, though, that something went wrong with the Kruidvat promotion voucher and that I couldn't get my money back. Fortunately, they were very helpful and I received a new voucher. That means that, unfortunately, I have to come back again to enjoy a High Tea! 😉

We ended up at De Beren via Social Deal. The deal was a 4-course menu for €25.95. We had a delicious meal. The gentleman who served us was very friendly. We enjoyed a lovely meal.

We had hi-the, it was delicious. Just one tip though: first only soup and rolls, only later the sweets; now the chocolate melted on the cream puffs on the terrace. But having fun with the staff made it all top-notch. Even a nice candle for a birthday.

A certain staff member was a bit grumpy

Had a nice meal, but had to wait a long time, especially for drinks. Have been before and waited a long time then too; hopefully, it will be better.

The steak tips were a bit tough after all... Otherwise, because the reserved table for 6 people was in the sun and we asked for a different table, that wasn't a problem after moving some tables around. Very helpful and thoughtful!

Yummy fries with chicken, truffle mayonnaise

We enjoyed a high tea. Varied and incredibly delicious!!!!

We had a delicious high tea. I don't like salmon or carpaccio. They adapted these sandwiches with pulled chicken! Really great.

Great service and delicious high tea!

Margriet was a really nice waitress! Otherwise, the food was fine, good in terms of flavor. Unfortunately, we did have to send a dish back due to an allergy, but that was resolved very well.

De Beren Drachten delicious food, great for a birthday dinner. Always fun.

We had high tea with 4 people. We weren't very impressed with the service. The welcome was strange. The girls aren't unfriendly otherwise, but everything was very laborious. We also waited about 40 minutes before any food was placed on the table. First all the sweet items, and only later the savory ones. It's a shame that you only get a few savory items and so much sweet food. However, all the food was incredibly delicious and they really do serve a lot. We didn't come close to finishing everything.

Had a nice lunch with 8 people on the terrace. The food was good and the atmosphere was too. A minor downside is that the bins for clearing used plates etc. were standing behind us; this was a bit unappealing, perhaps placing a small screen or something similar would be a good idea. Unfortunately, all the cushions turned out to be soaked, so we ended up with wet trousers after our delicious lunch.

❤️Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful location, and delicious food.

Lovely place; I only know De Beren from back in the day in the Randstad, and back then I always got a "foodie vibe," but this place is really sleek and super beautiful! The greenery in the interior is amazing! The staff is friendly, and the owner is genuinely interested in his customers. The menu is neat, not too much choice, which I always really appreciate. And there are options for a three-course menu or a four-course sharing menu (from 2 people), and we took that too, and it was a very good choice! You can see course 2 in the photo. We had a delicious meal; not too much, but certainly not too little either! We will definitely go here more often when we are in the area!

Great value for money Good food at an affordable price Friendly service Nice/cozy decorated location

Fantastic terrace with nice playground equipment for the children. Friendly staff and delicious food.

A very surprising High Tea, highly recommended in Drachten.

Good food, no long wait, friendly staff, and very affordable.

What a lovely evening we had! The hostess was a real star in her field. You could tell in everything that she understood how her job should be done, and she radiated enjoyment. The food was tasty, and we didn't have to wait long. The price-quality ratio was absolutely fine. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

A successful dinner, and that with two young kids! They looked after the children, and the toddler received a menu with a coloring page. The children's menu was a suitable, good portion, and everyone enjoyed it. The baby got a sandwich from the kitchen; very thoughtful! Mom and Dad ate tasty chicken satay. Quite simple, but just delicious and not too heavy. Friendly service and the food on the table quickly.

We had a delicious hamburger. The other dishes my party ordered were also excellent. We had asked for a bit of speed due to a visit to the Lawei. This was handled excellently by the waitress. There was even time for dessert.

Annet's service was amazing! She was friendly, professional, and it was easy to make adjustments to the dish. Great atmosphere, which the staff also contributed to a lot.

We went out for dinner yesterday, but the food was cold to lukewarm and we waited a very long time for our order to be taken, plus we left feeling nauseous and it's a day later and we're still nauseous🤢🤢🤢 Once and never again how dare they charge money for this unbelievably bad !!!!!!!!!! 🤢🤢🤢

Nice waitress named Annet! Nice place for drinks.

Had some delicious unlimited pork tenderloin satay... I found the chicken satay to be slightly less flavorful.

Yesterday, Margriet gave us wonderful help at De Beeren in Drachten. What a star; owner Douwe really needs to cherish her. Had a lovely time, enjoying the outdoors on their wonderful terrace for the first time again. Thanks, Margriet!!

The food at De Beren is always good, with a great atmosphere and good service. On this visit, one star less due to the errors on the special King's Day menu and unclear surcharges for some dishes.

The menu is not too extensive, but it is tasty. Prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed.

We had a delicious meal there with three people. A vegetarian dish was also tasty. The service was quick and the waitress was friendly. The fries are highly recommended.

At De Beren in Drachten, I found an ant in my meat. That is not a minor mistake, but a clear hygiene problem. When I reported this, my complaint was simply dismissed with the remark that this “cannot happen due to inspections.” The fact is that it *did* happen. And it is unprofessional not to take a customer seriously in such a situation. Instead of taking responsibility, the problem was denied. This does not belong in a restaurant that takes itself seriously. I expect De Beren to address this internally, because this was far below par.

Delicious food, great service, nice staff and a beautiful interior

It was quite quiet for a Monday afternoon, but we had to wait 10 minutes for our drinks. We were there for a quick lunch but ended up sitting there for 1.5 hours because it took so long. We had a carpaccio and a fried egg with ham and cheese. The person who served us had run out of orders, so we got the carpaccio first and the fried egg at least fifteen minutes later, and the ham and cheese was missing. It happens. It hadn't occurred to me at the time that the egg was too raw for a fried egg (I'm a chef myself). We mentioned the ham and cheese and got it back as if it had just been thrown on. I started eating my food, which was cold by then, and the egg white just ran off the fried egg. That's not how it's supposed to be, so I mentioned it. The fried egg was taken off the bill, but we didn't get anything else in return, so we left hungry anyway. The service was also brand new, so she knew very little. They need to explain things better to their staff, because that way you can prevent mistakes and lose fewer customers. There were people sitting next to us too, but they waited at least 30 minutes before someone came. This was definitely a one-time thing and never again.

A really lovely place! We have been there several times now, and whether you come for coffee or dinner, they are always just as friendly. Recently, I ordered steak tips that were too spicy for my taste, and within no time I had a new dish.

We had a delicious meal and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

We had a delicious meal. It looked clean and beautiful. Friendly staff.

If the nice older gentleman states: ‘I am selective in accepting people on the terrace,’ then I don't think you quite get it...

Cold bitterballen served and then had to wait another half hour for drinks... Disappointing for such a nice place.

Very hospitable, definitely recommended.

Delicious cakes and drinks in a stylish setting. Beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly and even joke around. And they all speak English. We'll definitely be back.

Had a delicious meal, cozy atmosphere! Nice temperature inside too!!

Delicious food and super friendly service.
