Dinner with the four of us last night. What a varied menu. Great concept, a three-course menu for €21.50. Cozy decor and atmosphere, and top-notch staff. You have to search high and low for places like this.

We had a delicious meal and enjoyed the ambiance and the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. And then the kitchen brigade. They are real stars; every dish served to us looked fantastic. The carpaccio was truly amazing, and our beef sorting was also absolutely top-notch. We will definitely be coming back here; they get 10/10 from me.

Personally, my family and I visited on an invitation. The place is lively and bustling. The people are friendly and sociable. You feel more like you're at home. The staff are very welcoming and punctual. The kitchen offers fresh and delicious products. It's a place you'd want to visit again.

Bad food, substandard, but nice interior.

I had lunch yesterday and ordered a salad with a sauce that was too spicy for me, so I only finished the chicken. They gave me a new, smaller portion with a different sauce. It was really well resolved and the service was friendly! I will definitely be back!

Our annual student reunion was held here. It was our first time here and we'll definitely be back. The food was delicious and the service was very polite, prompt, and friendly.

The food here is pure and carefully cooked. The vegetables on the plate are perfectly cooked. It's a shame, then, that the menu mainly consists of fish and meat; the kitchen could do so much more. The presentation is very well-maintained, correct, and attractive, without verging on kitsch. Downsides are the herb butter with bland bread and the boring fries. They're really out of date in 2026. We also had some bad luck with the service; we didn't sense much passion from the young man.

We were there with my family for lunch on Sunday, December 21st. I was greeted by a woman who seemed to be a combination of bartender, waitress, manager, and cleaner. She was very pushy and threw drinks on the table. She should have been setting the tables, not the guests. She was rude and unfriendly. I didn't feel like eating at this cafe anymore, drank coffee, and left. It's proven once again that Dutch waiters and staff are very inhospitable. It's a shame that, even with a smile on their faces, they're so rude to you.

The food was delicious and the quality was excellent. It's just a shame there wasn't a vegetarian option on the menu. There were other members of our family who eat vegetarian, and it was very busy, making it difficult to hear each other. Highly recommended.

A beautiful restaurant with a fresh, homey, yet modern atmosphere. The welcome and service made you feel welcome. The food was exquisite and beautifully presented. The chairs were exceptionally comfortable, and the cutlery gleamed. The menu is comprehensive and varied. Compliments to the chef, the staff, and the owner. I ate here today for the first time, but certainly not the last.

What a delicious carpaccio, wonderful sirloin steak, and super-tasty strawberry Victoria we had here. If I could, I'd eat here every day!! And the service was fantastic!!! :-)

As soon as you enter, the staff takes the time to welcome you spontaneously. It's clear that the owner has put a lot of thought into the interior and hasn't stopped there. Empty tables are cleared very efficiently, maintaining the sleek look. The service is fast, and the presentation of the dishes is delightful. A clear mindset of wanting to do things right. Yet, things go wrong... A starter is 'forgotten,' so the main course is served while we're clearly still enjoying the starter. The little guy's chicken nuggets are hot on the outside but ice cold on the inside. They go back to the kitchen and return 10 minutes later—on a bare plate. (while everyone else has finished eating.) This led us to forgo dessert. When paying, there's no mention of this (unusual) procedure, and the full bill is presented. Only when we ask if this is normal practice do they apologize, and then realize that this isn't acceptable. That is why we cannot get further than 3 stars.

So, just a weekend away, eating here, absolutely fine. Food was good, if I wanted to complain, which I don't, but the main course plate could have been a little warmer. Again, no complaining, it was fine :-) And a small detail, it was quiet when we arrived, we were a bit early, and within a few minutes someone came to ask if we wanted something to drink :-) Later when it became busier, that was also "over".

Drinks were ordered quickly. The food order was a little later. It took a while before the food arrived, perhaps that was because of the lactose-free order. After we were done, we were politely asked if we wanted anything else; the bill. But then it took a while until we finally went to the bar ourselves, because otherwise we would be late for our appointment. In total we spent about 1.5 hours.

Came here today with my dog. I ordered a burger with fries and a beer for a late lunch. It took 40 (!) minutes for the burger to be delivered, which is way too long for a restaurant with only 40-50% occupancy. Then I immediately burned my mouth with the first bite of the burger because it was delivered piping hot. After letting the burger cool down, it tasted fine, but I've had better burgers for the same price.

Delicious food, for example my pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the restaurant looked attractive. It just took a while before we got our food, which was a shame. Especially since we also had two young children with us who were hungry. Hence 4 stars instead of 5.

It's been a long time since we ate in such a nice restaurant. Delicious carpaccio, spare ribs, steak, vegetables and dessert! And all this for a fair price. We liked the open kitchen. The idea that you can see what they are doing gives you a good feeling. Definitely worth repeating.

As a resident of Woudenberg you can pick up super good food nearby. We had carpaccio for 2 people, very tasty.

Starter was fine. Main course only came 1.5 hours after the starter and was very mediocre. Tasteless meat and very poorly prepared prawns. Vegetables were ok. It was packed and the service did their best, but sitting for more than 4 hours for 2 courses and coffee is really too long.

Finally a restaurant with decent prices and excellent quality! 3-course menu for 39.50 or order dishes separately. Portions are good, not too much or too little. Special beer for 4.95 instead of the sometimes exorbitant prices. Staff also correct and friendly 👍

Had a lovely lunch with 3 friends. Service super friendly, every time at our table with a radiant smile. The only point for improvement as far as I'm concerned: if a burger is ordered four times and is served with fries, I personally think 1 bowl of fries is a bit sparse. The portions were generous and everything was well prepared. Highly recommended for those looking for a place where you can quietly enjoy delicious food all evening without it costing you too much.

Appetizers and desserts were delicious. Unfortunately, the portabello as a main course was a big disappointment. Literally a cooked portabello with a slice of goat cheese on top and a little lettuce next to it, see photo. Considering the rest of the party had delicious mains and the starter was delicious, it was a real disappointment. Unfortunately, nothing was done on the spot with the report and it was waved away. It was busy and the staff couldn't handle it in terms of serving. Only part of the table asked twice if people wanted something to drink. Drinks not delivered. Empty milk cup on the saucer of your cup of coffee. Nice restaurant but the finishing touches are missing and the professional attitude of some staff members needs some training.

After a refreshing walk in the neighborhood, we wanted to have something tasty lunch. So I looked at the area on maps in advance and selected De Sous-Chef. It would open at 11.30 am and we stood in front of the door with hungry bellies watering. After all, the menu and reviews sounded promising. But unfortunately the door remained locked. While we waited patiently outside in plain sight, the staff was sitting inside enjoying a coffee together at a table next to the bar. Apparently the place doesn't open for lunch on Sundays after all. Shame! After waiting for fifteen minutes, waving and looking inside, we returned home and on the way we were just able to visit Restaurant Vroeg in Bunnik, where hospitality is of paramount importance. Free tip for those who may also experience this.

For us, the music was a bit overpowering... some softer music would suit us a little better, especially when it is full and there is already so much noise from the guests... but that may just be a matter of taste.

Awesome! Today we visited Woudenberg and had a delicious meal at De Sous Chef. Chose the Three Course Menu. Cozy atmosphere, spacious tables with attractive gold-colored accents. Service is friendly, fast and very helpful. Sandwiches with spread beforehand, super delicious starter of salmon vs turf & surf. Main course grilled fish vs duo of salmon and shrimp. Beautifully laid out plates and great taste. Fries with it. Dessert the apple strudel vs choco triffe with delicious fresh fruit speculaas and ice cream. Highly recommended!! Will definitely come back here for the other dishes.

Nicely renovated and expanded and therefore great to have a really cozy restaurant in Woudenberg. Quickly ate a main course. Tasty burger. Sirloin steak was too raw for medium. Raw large red onion is a shame. Nobody eats that. Would prefer some more vegetables, for example a bowl of salad with the burger. Good price-quality ratio.

Groot geworden en erg druk en hierdoor twee uren wachten op je hoofdgerecht...... Inrichting heeft veel harde materialen en hierdoor is het geluid weinig sfeervol en te veel aanwezig. Niet de plek om gezellig te tafelen helaas. Uiteindelijk is het eten helemaal niet zo slecht en de prijs best redelijk maar de wachttijd was echt bizar.
