Bad service, definitely had to wait almost 2 hours for the food, and if you say something about it, they look at you strangely.

We had a delicious meal today! Because it was quiet, the food was on the table quickly, which was very nice. We chose the Indonesian rijsttafel for two people. Everything was prepared with flavor and the portions were just right; we ate everything with pleasure. Exactly what you would expect from a good Indonesian rijsttafel. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service friendly. All in all, a pleasant experience and definitely recommended!

Upon entering, I was immediately met with rude behavior from a man. I arrived as part of a group at 5:50 PM with a reservation for 6:00 PM. I was snapped at and almost sent away with the response: "We are closed." Meanwhile, other people were already seated at a table in the restaurant, and their online listing stated they open at 5:00 PM. After mentioning my reservation for 4 people, I was "fortunately" allowed to sit down. I was then snapped at *again* because I sat at a table for 4 with a reservation sign on it. I made a reservation, didn't I? So what's the problem? Many tables had reservation signs, by the way. But we didn't see a soul walk in the entire evening. Make it make sense. The food was nothing special. Bland flavors; a mixed international cuisine kit from Albert Heijn would have produced the same result. Lots of rice, little meat. Disappointing is putting it mildly. At the stroke of 9:00 PM, we were ushered out of the place by the waitress. What restaurant opens at 5:00 PM (but actually 6:00 PM? Huh?) and closes at 9:00 PM? Oh, and apparently a customer had dropped the card machine, so I was just supposed to transfer the amount for the meal at the end of the evening to an IBAN number written in large letters on a piece of A4 paper? Very strange. I am never coming back here. What a terrible place with incredibly weird vibes. You would almost think it is a front for shady dealings. I genuinely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This was a very very interesting experience. I do not recommend at all. First off 1700 to 2100 hours? Very odd hours. When we walked in the staff said we aren't open. Than said we can find a table a seat. We had a reservation for 1800 for 4. We found a table for 4. And a staff member starts yelling from the other side of the room. "Thats a table reserved for 4 people" and that we can't sit there. We said we made a reservation for 4 people. So they let us sit there. The atmosphere was off. All the tables marked for reservations yet no one else came on. My table and 2 or 3 other tables that whole evening. Yet every table was reserved? How does that make sense? It was very strange. Alcoholic drinks were very weak and tasted as if they had no alcohol. Food was not worth it at all too. Tacos? At a Indonesian restaurant? That doesnt make sense. Also lastly they asked us to pay by sending the money directly to their bank account. I have never ever had a restaurant or business ask for me to send the money directly to their bank account. This whole place smells of a front. I do not recommend this restaurant. Your better off going to the Burger King or KFC down the road.

Very bad. No atmosphere, the space is totally unsuitable for a restaurant. The partition hangs from the ceiling with strings. Wicker baskets (plates) are not cleaned. I had Bali fries and the lettuce remnants from the previous guest were still on the basket. There was a snail in the mint tea. A cutting board fell down right onto a lady's head. The baskets (plates) were cleared into a washing-up bowl. The staff was unhygienic and unfriendly. Never eat here.. You will definitely get sick if you eat here. Close this place down

Tasty food, good service, and a great atmosphere. You can park conveniently close in the parking garage, and the portions are generous. Definitely recommended!

If you are in the mood for a delicious Indonesian rijsttafel, Indo Kitchen Bar is definitely the place to go. An affordable and varied rijsttafel that tastes delicious too. The portions could be a bit larger (for 2 people). Furthermore, the entrance can be confusing. The service is extremely friendly. Definitely recommended to give it a try!

Indo Kitchen is the perfect place for your event! I had the pleasure of celebrating receiving my degree at Indo Kitchen. Although I was late myself because I was stuck in traffic, they made sure all my guests could have something to drink and snack upon arrival. During dinner, my guests were served, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was amazing, and they also allowed me the flexibility to organize my party exactly how I wanted. They were very flexible with the planning, and on the day itself, I didn't have to worry about a thing! Highly recommended for your event.

What a shame! The lady who works there is fine. But you have to wait so long for your food... And there was hardly any chicken in the chicken nasi. I am writing this because I hope they can improve this. But it lacks atmosphere and the food is really not restaurant-worthy.

Reserved to eat here with four people. When we came there at the reserved time they said we had no reservation and said we were lying. "Our system has been working for 18 years so it can't be our fault."

Even under the previous name (Madame Jeanette), my experience wasn't exceptional; the dishes were already disappointing. Unfortunately, this hasn't improved since the name change to Indo Kitchen Bar. The service was poor: we had to wait over half an hour for our drinks and over an hour and a half for our main course, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The main course was disappointing. The nasi geprek (nasi geprek) contained hardly any meat and didn't meet expectations. The es cendol was also of very poor quality; after two sips, I sent it back because the taste was truly disappointing. All in all, this was a disappointing experience. Based on this, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

Gado gado was delicious. The only thing missing was the rice, which was a shame. The corn cakes were divine.

What a stupid place, you walk in and they ask for a reservation while the whole place is empty? But I had reserved anyway, suddenly I want to order chicken satay for 6 people and they come and tell me there is only chicken satay left for 4 people? Well fine, so others order shrimp, suddenly they come and tell me the shrimp isn't fresh enough to reserve? Total nonsense, you guys have absolutely nothing in your kitchen? Well listen, we come all the way from Amsterdam, you guys are absolutely worthless, you are going completely bankrupt, keep it up, nobody should go to this place, it is a dead stupid place!

I recently visited Indo Kitchen Bar in Almere, located on the Belfortplein, and had a nice experience. The restaurant is situated on the first floor overlooking the square, which is lined with various eateries. This gives the place a lively, cozy atmosphere. We had a reservation for two. The interior is tastefully decorated with warm wooden elements and subtle Indonesian touches that create an inviting, authentic feel. The only thing I found slightly out of place was the music, more house-style beats, which didn’t fully match the serene, Indonesian atmosphere. Then again, it is also a bar, so for some guests the music might add exactly the vibe they’re looking for. Because they were in the process of developing a new menu, not everything was available. Still, we were able to try several different dishes, and everything we tasted was nice. One of the highlights of the evening was definitely the service. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially the gentleman who took the time to explain the dishes to us. His personal approach made us feel very welcome and added a warm human touch to the experience. The restaurant was fairly quiet during our visit, which made the whole experience more comfortable and relaxed. Overall, Indo Kitchen Bar combines beautiful design, warm service, and nice food in a cozy, well-located spot in Almere. Recommended for anyone looking for a relaxed, flavorful dining experience with a personal touch.

At first glance, the decor looks fine. Unfortunately, I have an eye for detail and noticed that the area near the window was very dirty, with lots of dust and such. The restroom decor could also be much better, perhaps a bit more luxurious? The service was terrible; they had absolutely no clue how the restaurant industry works, and the owner isn't a host, which is a real shame. The music was awful... with the right manager who's passionate about the business, this could be resolved. And tacos on the menu? Really? Otherwise, the food was okay, but not Indonesian cuisine. There were no separate dishes with rice or noodles; you have to pay extra for those. The chicken satay was almost black and far too small. Not a second visit. Hospitality, or rather, hostess, hasn't been invented here yet.

Since we're used to Indonesian food, we usually opt for a different cuisine. We finally went in and gave it a try, because we were in the mood for rendang. The restaurant looks neat and tastefully decorated. Our table wasn't completely clean, but otherwise it was okay. We opted for the small rijsttafel (rice table) with rendang, green beans, shrimp, satay, and more. The presentation was good, served in small bowls. And then the first bite... Of course, we tried the rendang first. It was VERY disappointing. It was incredibly salty, and we also thought it had a hint of curry in it. Unfortunately, we had to leave the rendang alone, because it was inedible. It was also very dry, probably due to using a pressure cooker, which prevented the spices from penetrating the meat. Then we tried the green beans and other dishes. We weren't happy with those either, because everything had an overpowering aroma/flavor of, presumably, lime leaves. The nasi was just plain white rice with sweet soy sauce, which, in my opinion, isn't what it should be. The rendang croquettes were fine, as was the satay. It's a shame the food was so disappointing, because the restaurant looks good and the service is excellent. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with Indonesian food.

Indian and Indonesian are two different menus. At Ron Blauw in Amstelveen, you'll find both. It tasted like everything but Indian food. A disgrace to the Indos, really. Best of luck, though. Selamat Paman.

Excellent Indonesian restaurant in Almere. Lovely terrace in the sun, but shaded by a parasol. The service was polite and friendly. The rijsttafel (rice table) was sufficient and good, but the rendang was a bit too salty. Unfortunately, they were out of cendol. I saw an unannounced offer on the restaurant's Instagram and took a screenshot. The restaurant wasn't aware of it but still gave me a 10% discount. That's quite generous.

Location is great, service staff friendly but prices high, food is good, but portion seemed small. Beer was pricey too.

We arrived earlier than reserved, but were able to sit down and then ordered a rice table for 3 people. All dishes were tasty and good portions. Dragon fruit or jackfruit I have no idea, that was not tasty at all, but I think it is also mainly personal. The lady from the kitchen also helps with the service, which gives the place a charm and a 1 team, 1 task feeling. The other ladies were also super friendly and were able to explain the dishes without hesitation (which often happens in other restaurants). It is not often that in such a segment/class of restaurant, both the service and the kitchen match each other well and the picture is correct. Greetings and goodbyes are always so important and you understand that! Definitely recommended to enjoy Indian dishes and service here. Please keep it up!

Rijsttafel is not worth the price. But, staff is friendly. I wouldn't visit again.

A really delicious meal here, a beautiful restaurant with good food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice. All in all a nice place to enjoy yourself.

We ate the Indian rice table here. That was disappointing. 10 small containers, two containers of rice. The taste was ok, but I have had better Indonesian food. Moreover, I thought it was too expensive for what we got. The atmosphere is cozy, with bamboo and reeds. The service went smoothly, nice girls.

The rice table was recommended to us, then small bowls were served, each containing 1-2 snacks. And this is certainly not a rice table because the rice was nowhere to be found. We spent 120 euros for three people, which felt like a starter. Walked out of the restaurant hungry.

Food was fine but not super special. I thought it was special that an extra bowl of rice had to be charged 3.50. Rice costs nothing. I would offer that for free as an extra service. Bali fries are a bowl of fries with some stew and beans. For 22.50 I expect a little more than that.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, cozy and atmospheric! Very friendly staff too. The food was tasty, but as far as we (Indos) were concerned, it had a clearly Dutch touch: milder, less intense flavors than we are used to and what we had hoped for... The nasi goreng was a disappointment (white rice with only ketjap in it?? ). Dessert of pisang goreng with vanilla ice cream was tasty and beautifully presented, but unfortunately not real pisang, but thin, pale chiquitas. Shame...

Reservations went smoothly, were received promptly and the food was a pleasant surprise. The Rijstafel Info Kitchen is highly recommended. You really feel like you are in Indonesia with all those small dishes. The dessert was absolutely fantastic, Pisang Goring as I have never eaten it before‼️Highly recommended‼️

First time eating here. The service is just good, very good. The food tastes good, has enough variety and is sufficient. Our guests were also very satisfied with the choice. They emphasized that they had eaten deliciously.

If you really like Indian food, Indo Kitchen is highly recommended! We are of Moluccan descent and we really didn't find the food tasty. Everything is served in small bowls on a tray, which cools down in no time. Not a good advertisement for Indian cuisine...a shame! The service was also nice but not service-oriented: the table was only half cleared and they did not return when we had indicated that we would like to see the menu for a dessert. Unfortunately not worth repeating.

Wonderful place to have a drink/eat! We enjoyed fries rendang, rendang croquettes, spicy chicken and the tacos. Everything tastes really good! The staff is also very friendly and regularly came to check how everything was, definitely recommended!

It was our first visit and we certainly enjoyed the experience. The service of the gentleman who helped us was very nice, everything was clearly explained and we were certainly satisfied with his recommendation of the rice table, which was certainly useful for a first visit. Now I know what I will order next time.

Went for dinner yesterday, had Indian cuisine for the first time. The amount of food is very limited for the price. The taste was a predominant taste that came back time and time again in all dishes, not tasty. Satay chicken really so scanty 3 skewers with 3 or 4 pieces of chicken thigh fillet on it! Rice, noodles in a small bowl. Tacos were ok, but I'd rather eat Mexican tacos! The potatoes with paprika herbs were no go. The service is top notch. Friendly staff, warm welcome. But for us, Indian cuisine is really not recommended. We tried. The prices for the amount of food is really too pricey!

Ik kwam speciaal voor de 'Soto ajam' naar dit restaurant. Maar.... Bij het bestellen werd gezegd dat dit gerecht niet beschikbaar was. Enigzins teleurgesteld heb ik toen maar Gulai nangka besteld. Dit gerecht was oké maar ik miste het warme Indonesische gevoel. Dit kwam wellicht omdat de kachel uit stond en het best fris was in het restaurant.

Voorheen aten we hier lekkere broodjes kipkerrie. Maar nu is het anders geworden en heet het Indo Kitchen. Bij navraag konden we ook lunchen en bestelden broodjes. Bediening was prima en attent, maar we waren op dat moment de enigen in de zaak. De broodjes waren lekker, al duurde het best lang (voor een lunchgerecht) voor het klaar was. Zeker 30 minuten. Dat vind ik te lang. Wel verzorgd met sambal, saus en zuur. Wel schrikken we bij het afrekenen. Omdat ze nog maar pas met de lunch open zijn, staan de broodjes niet op de kaart. Voor 4 broodjes en 2 bitter lemon zijn we 41 euro kwijt. Dat is waar deze review sterren op verliest, de prijs.

Nourriture délicieuse, portions généreuses et service sympathique. La table de riz pour 2 est de type mezze, l'occasion de goûter à tout (et franchement tout était bon !) Globalement très épicé (nous aimons ça mais attention aux palais sensibles)

Ambiance agréable, serveuse rapide et attentionnée. Nous ne connaissions pas ce type de cuisine donc nous avons pris la formule pour 2 pour découvrir le plus de choses possibles et nous n'avons pas été déçus : 2 bols de riz différents, 10 ramequins et 2 brochettes de poulet satay. Même si les quantités dans chaque ramequin ne sont pas énormes, on était tout à fait rassasié à la fin de la dégustation, on n'a pas pris de dessert. Niveau épices, certains plats étaient plutôt épicés, d'autres moins. Nous avons aussi eu l'occasion de goûter les 2 bières indonésiennes : belles découvertes !

Weinig aandacht voor de gasten. Er waren sowieso maar 2 tafels, maar men had meer aandacht voor elkaar dan voor ons. Is op zich nog niet erg, maar vervolgens vooral smoesjes ipv excuses. Na 15 minuten wachten op de toetjes/menukaart de toetjes maar aan ons voorbij laten gaan.

Madame Jeanneatte had op alles 5 sterren bij mij. Vaste klant. Sinds het Indo Kitchen heet (en dus andere kaart) vind ik het eten tussen 1 en 2 sterren. Ben er 2x geweest. Geen kinderporties, smaak is flauw. Vlees is droog(geen jus). Echt jammer.

Vandaag voor het eerst bij Indo Kitchen gegeten. We hadden de rendang en daging smoor en deze gerechten zijn echt zó lekker!! Complimenten voor de koks die deze gerechten zo op smaak weten te maken. Ik kom hier zeker veel vaker terug om de rest van wat op de kaart staat ook te proeven.

Ziet er leuk uit, maar de rijsttafel voor 2 is matig. De bediening doet er niets mee als je er wat van zegt.

Wat een geweldig restaurant! Ik met een intollerantie voor ui kan dus weinig eten, nu heeft de eigenaar zoveel moeite gedaan om een heel menutje op te stellen voor mij zonder ui! Hele aardige medewerkers die ook goed mee denken! Dikke 10+!

Service was echt top!! Maar het eten was een beetje teleurstellend. De rijsttafel had weinig vlees gerechten. De jackfruit en gemixte groenten in kokos waren niet lekker en hadden dan ook een bittere nasmaak. Erg jammer, de 2 vleessoorten die er waren zijn erg lekker net als de tempeh en tofu. Maar helaas minder vleesgerechten dan bij de Surinaamse rijsttafel die ze in het verleden hadden. Conclusie: helaas niet echt vullend zoals je van een rijsttafel gewend bent. Ik ben helaas niet met een volle buik weggelopen, wat erg jammer is aangezien de rijsttafel €80 was voor 2 personen en dat voor een Indonesisch restaurant.

3 maanden geleden geweest ongeveer. Toen de oude proeverij gehad. Wat was dat lekker zeg. Heerlijk gegeten toen. Sterren die ik toen zou geven, zeker 5. Gisteren weer geweest, toen viel het ons al op dat ze een andere menu kaart hadden. Stukje duurder ook. Maar goed omdat het toen we de eerste keer gingen erg lekker was keken we er niet zo naar. De proeverij was er niet, maar dit keer voor de combi gegaan, dit is volgens mij de vervanger van de proeverij. Er stonden wat andere gerechten tussen maar dat gaf niet. Maar wat viel het mij dit keer tegen zeg. Smaak was redelijk maar vergeleken met 3 maanden geleden slecht. Zelf hoop ik dat dit voor 1 keer was en dat ze snel die heerlijke proeverij van de oude kaart er weer op zetten en als die dan weer net zo lekker is komen we zeker weer een keer terug. Voor nu is het een nee.

Amazing service and really great food.

Er hangt een hele aangename sfeer in het restaurant, je kunt er goed en gezellig eten. Het personeel is zeer gastvriendelijk en behulpzaam. De porties van de ‘big bites’ zijn wat kleiner dus ik zou zelf aanraden een voorgerechtje of een side dish bij te bestellen. Al met al een aanrader!

Grote portie's, vriendelijk personeel en goede sfeer. Heb er nu twee keer gegeten en vond beide keren het eten qua kruiden een beetje flauw, er zat voor mij niet veel smaak aan. Verder wel een goede prijs.

Onze eerste keer, Heel vriendelijk ontvangen. We mochten zelf een tafel uitzoeken. De avond ervoor, tijdens de reservering, een proeverij besteld. Verschillende kleine Surinaamse gerechten. 40-45 minuten gewacht tot deze gebracht werd(vonden wij wat lang duren), terwijl het restaurant nog bijna leeg was.(17.30 uur) het eten was lauw, maar wel lekker. We komen zeker nog eens proeven.

Gisteravond heerlijk gegeten daar. We zijn voor de complete proeverij gegaan waarbij je van alle gerechten een klein portie krijgt. Eten was heerlijk. Ook bediening was prima. Attent aardig en snel kunt komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Niet alles was op voorraad ondanks dat er ruim van tevoren gereserveerd was. Ook bleken bep. gerechten uit de magnetron te komen( lees: opgewarmd te zijn)
