Restaurant New Chung Feng in Nieuw Middelburg

Chinese restaurant in the middle of a residential area, so it's a bit of a walk to get there. It is mainly set up for takeout. A few tables and simply decorated. The service was very friendly and the food was ready quickly and delicious. Great👌

We had a menu with Bami Pangang, Babi Ketjap, and fried banana. On the side, nasi and bami. I think the cook thought: "we'll add extra salt" because of the hot weather. It was inedible, so salty!!! Even though both the Bami Pangang and Babi Ketjap are supposed to have a typical Zoetermeer flavor. Absolutely not recommended for us!! The only thing that was edible was the fried banana. A waste of €30.......

Get takeout today, tenderloin and cha chueie or something. Heated up the tenderloin in the microwave, tasteless. Hope I don't get food poisoning from it. The pork wasn't crispy and was filthy greasy. Last time going there, hope the old owners come back. But it just turns out everything from Vlissingen is worthless. Get takeout again today to give it a chance. Bad again. Noodles full of oil, babi pangang, and cha siu full of artificial colorings. Seriously, stop with this so-called Chinese restaurant, you are a disgrace.

It is not worth repeating; it just wasn't good. The babi pangang was inedible, but the nasi was fine.

Had a fine meal at the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon; friendly prices and good food.

Since the takeover, the quality has been very disappointing. One combined menu, including Fou Younghai, was truly awful. And a bag of prawn crackers for €4? Plus, the person behind the counter made mistake after mistake with the billing. Such a shame.

Picked up food. It was very tasty but I had to wait more than half an hour. I could pick up the food at 7 o'clock but they hadn't started yet.

Excellent takeout. Good flavor. The tjap tjoi vegetables were especially crispy. The chef knows what he's doing. The portion size was also good.

The flavors were delicious, everything fresh, nothing to complain about, only the portions have suddenly become very small, half a container of bami or nasi, the side dishes also minimal without the pisang goreng and Vietnamese spring rolls like with the previous owner, a pity I went to another Chinese where you do get value for your money

We took home some food, and it was absolutely delicious! Prepared with care, it tasted fresh and, in our opinion, delicious. It was also still in good condition when we got home. We'll definitely be getting more from here.

I have no idea what the food is like. With the previous owner, I called ahead and picked up the food afterward. When I tried to call today, I got a busy signal and they were unreachable, so I didn't go. When I got there, there was a note on the door saying "no card today"—since I pay for everything electronically these days, I don't carry cash. That's the end of it, and I order something from a competitor. Well begun is half done, as they say...

Update 10/2025: Renovations made it impossible to eat in, but they still offer arguably the world's best loempia and large portions of delicious food. _____ 2024: A fast-food restaurant in a perfectly normal residential area. Therefore, free parking isn't a problem here. The food was very good and the service very friendly. The portions were so large that we had leftovers packed up. It would have been a shame to waste the delicious food...

The restaurant is very basic, but that does not detract from the food and service. The prices are very friendly, as is the service. The food is really super tasty, with fresh ingredients! Portions are relatively large. Really recommended!

A typical takeaway restaurant where you mostly pick up food. However, I ate there. Despite the takeaway feel, everything was very clean. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The dish was freshly prepared and surprisingly delicious. The Kröpök in a plastic bag, however, took some getting used to.

The moksi meti & siu yuk are perfect, the portion is enormous, plus the owner is very friendly. Great value for money overall, highly recommended!

We ordered food. Agreed to pick it up in 25 minutes. Went at the agreed time but then had to wait another half hour. That's just not possible. They forgot to give us the extra noodles ordered because it was so busy. Babi pangang was way too tough. The chicken fillet with curry sauce contained a flavor additive that had not melted sufficiently. Probably because they were in too much of a hurry to prepare it. We've been coming here for years, but they take too many orders. You notice that the quality is visibly deteriorating. Tip the owner to limit how many orders you take. This is not pleasant, tough food for the customer and the quality of your business is increasingly deteriorating due to this way of working.

Truly delicious! A small caterer/restaurant which at first glance doesn't look like much, but the staff and owner are very friendly. Delicious dishes and well served! We were passing through but if we have the chance, we will come back! It's outside the city center but definitely worth getting there

Delicious food + nice service. What more is needed? Very nice people. Vegetarian meal with tofu (p. 144) was full of taste. Big portion. Box for out was for free.

Calling to order is pointless, they will only make it once you have paid when you pick it up, and even then you can wait forever because they also help people who order after you first. Laugh everything away... if you say something about it, and talk behind your back when you walk outside. Previous owners understood it much better.

Pickup may have taken a bit of time on New Year's Day, but everyone placed huge orders. Fortunately, the staff remained very calm and friendly. Waiting was definitely worth it: food was very good! Great place for Chinese takeaway food. Good price/quality ratio. A business like there were many in the past. It is takeaway, but you can also eat it on site. My wife and I went out once and it suddenly started raining really hard and it kept raining. The owners were happy to serve the food and provide us with plates and cutlery. It is a real neighborhood affair.

Never judge a book by the cover! Maybe not very attractive from the outside; doesn't look very cozy but Oh! What delicious food. The shrimp spring rolls are delicious!! The Beijing duck with wonderfully crispy skin, the colors pop off the plate with all the dishes on our rice table. What a gem for Middelburg!

Excellent Chinese, fast. We liked the Nieuwe Pauw better. For example, the chicken satay was more tender there, and the other meat was also more tender there.

Picked up food (2x menu B), it was delicious! The satay and Vietnamese spring rolls were very good! But the Babi Pangang, Fu Yong Hai and Tjap Tjoy were also very tasty! Highly recommended!

They have a true vegan dish. It's only one for now at least, but it's vegetables, stirfried with oil and mushroom and tofu. Zero meat or meat products.

Real Dutch Chinese takeaway. Picked up due to the Corona measures and ate in a hotel. Didn't eat it because it was way too much. Indian menu for 2 would have been more than sufficient for 5 people.

It is a snack bar/Chinese takeaway. I came there for the first time. It doesn't look that nice or 'slick' and it doesn't give a very good impression. But the food was quite nice. And really for a very reasonable price. This is really a place where opinions can be divided. I know someone who drives 10 km for it and another who never gets there. So try and judge for yourself 😉👍

Very friendly service. Ordering by telephone saves waiting time. My personal recommendation: Spring roll special, a complete delicious meal thanks to the XXL size spring roll with two satay skewers, a generous portion of peanut sauce and a large portion of fresh atjar.

Tasty food and very friendly staff.

It's the best, I ring, the lady knows immediately who I am and what I want to order, including the pot hot peanut-butter sauce, I arrive 15 minutes later, meals waiting for me! The portions are so big, that we eat for two days. Really if you haven't tried them yet, then you really should, but preferably not Saturdays...for that's the day I go, and you'll make it too busy and I might have to wait! ;) This is a 5 star rating!
