We had a delicious meal here! The service itself was a bit lacking. We'd finished our coffee, and they took our cups away but didn't ask if we wanted anything else to drink. Contacting the servers was also a bit more difficult. The final bill was a bit more expensive than expected. But for every now and then, it's definitely recommended. A big plus is that dogs are allowed, which is nice since it's located in a wooded area where you can walk your dog.

A no-nonsense pancake house on the edge of the forest. Easy and free parking. The food and service are good.

Last Tuesday, I met a friend there for coffee to catch up. I went in to talk. It turned out a truck driver was busy. He spent an hour working on a truck, refrigerated or something. Several people stopped by to get something to eat. After an hour, I left. Later, it turned out the owner didn't have any staff. Well, that's possible, of course. Someone should put up a sign or something.

Location great! Friendly but very inexperienced service. (error in the bill and wrong refund) Stroop had to go to another table because there was too little stock. Unfortunately, pancakes were not cooked inside. Entourage is very outdated and it is not clean everywhere.

A nice little pancake restaurant in the forest outside Bussum, a good stop during a walk or bike ride in nature. Great that they offer children’s pancakes that are a little smaller (also good for adults with smaller appetite). Husband had one of the specials and it was ginormous, enough to feed a small family by itself. Good value for money but a bit excessive as a single portion. All tasted good though. Does have a small play area for kids, but it could use some attention, climbing frame is a little rickety so didn’t want to leave my son unattended.

Pancakes, best when the weather is nice and you can sit outside on the terrace. Location in the forest is fantastic.

An informal restaurant with fast service. The courses follow each other quickly. The pancakes taste excellent and are large. You can live on that for a while. We got a soup as a starter. It tasted great. One point for improvement: it could be a bit warmer. The ice cream for dessert was of excellent quality. Another tip: excellent location to start or end a walk.

Delicious food and friendly service

It's great that in Hilversum a top pancake can be consumed in a nice ambiance. Of giant size and particularly well baked. Friendly and pleasant staff. From my fellow guests I understood that the sanitary facilities of the establishment require extra attention in the meantime.

Cozy pancake restaurant, where they serve delicious panninis and large pancakes quickly. The service is ok, but could use a more commercial approach. If your glass is empty, you must ask for a refilled glass. Nice terrace with sun and shade, ample parking and located in a wooded area.

Nice service. We simply had a cup of tea on the terrace. After paying, the lady said: feel free to sit for a while, it's so nice in the sun! Now that's hospitable!

Value for money at this location is some of the best I've seen in the Netherlands, the specialty pancakes are worth trying. The quality of the coffees ordered were average. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, located just outside of town this is the perfect place to spend a day out in nature an go for a bike ride or walk in the woods after your meal. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed sitting in the sun today with a beer and a cheese pancake. Good atmosphere in the middle of the forest. Don't be put off by the big palm advertising signs, it's just a representation. Just kidding!

I'm not a fan of pancakes, but I still think the Bospandje is a lovely place. To recover after a trip through the adjacent Mollenbos, which has a special route for children, which they find exciting and where they can climb over trees, under or over a 'forest bridge' and hide in a hut made of branches. Then have a quiet drink with a delicious waffle. And in the meantime, my grandson is still having fun in the playground. Then I will be a very happy grandma!

Nice to be able to eat a pancake on the terrace after a walk in the woods. The dog is also very welcome. The staff was friendly, but still quite inexperienced. We were a bit disappointed with the pancake. A bit sticky inside. We thought the prices were quite high, for a fairly normal pancake with bacon cheese you pay EUR 15.50. Plenty of free parking spaces.

Pizza sized pancakes and lots to keep the kids occupied. Lovely pancake place, nothing special from the outside in that pancake places can only do so much to distinguish themselves: at the end it’s just hot gluten, butter and sugar on a large plate. However the location and the sizes of the pancakes make this a worthwhile stopover. There is a huge playroom downstairs with legal and table voetbal (and many many signs with instructions on how not to use the various toys). Service was working hard to keep everyone happy on an unexpectedly sunny Sunday and were good about communicating and managing expectations, including with the under four-crowd, which is a famously hard segment to manage well. It’s not cheap but that’s to be expected in the gooi. But the money you’ll gooi away here, is well worth it.

Pancakes are very large. The staff does what they have to do but seems a bit disinterested. A glass of water fell over us. They gave us napkins and stopped checking on us. Just kept talking to his 2nd. They do have a play area for children.

Pancakes are big and delicious. Basic pancake (€9.75) and special pancakes (from €16.95) are priced in line with the market. Only the 5 euros extra for cheese and bacon are a bit out of proportion. Service friendly, but it all just feels a bit like a takeaway pizzeria.

Had a lovely walk with my family. Then we had a delicious pancake and a beer. The dogs were also allowed to come along. Very nice!

Great food, a hidden gem in the Hilversum forest.

I applied for a job here and was asked to take a test. On the evening itself I was left to my own devices, with mainly young colleagues who also received no guidance. After working all evening, I had to find out myself that I wasn't getting a job. even though everything went well. When I asked the next question, I was turned away and the lady hung up on me. She was "too busy" for a proper conversation. She also suddenly no longer complied with the agreement she had made to pay me, without any reason for it. That's how they treat customers and staff. In short... I would not want to do business with this company, as an employee or as a guest.

After a wonderful walk, relax in this cozy retreat. Had fresh mint-ginger-orange tea for the first time. Recommended!

Tried again, but again a very long wait. It takes a long time before someone comes to you. After 20 minutes we got our coffee and tea with a foot bath. Service could be a bit friendlier. Is very unstructured. The pannis ordered also took a very long time. I think the kitchen is not set up well for many people. Had to ask for the bill twice.

The pancakes were thick, soggy, soft and I think just done or not quite done. In the middle it fell apart completely from dullness and that for almost 40 euros. No, I've eaten better ones. Service was hesitant and (still) incompetent, but more catering establishments suffer from this. Parking lot was full on Saturday afternoon around 2:00 PM.

I was very disappointed with the service during my visit. It felt like there was hardly any service. You have to walk to the bar yourself to order your coffee, and then pay for it yourself at the bar. This would be manageable if it was busy, but even when it was quiet, no one bothered to help you to the table or clean up. For a place where you come to relax, it didn't feel welcoming at all. The concept of self-service is understandable in certain situations, but this was just laziness on the part of the staff. Very unfortunate!

Pancake was very tasty but I thought it was expensive, you pay 15 euros for a simple pancake with bacon and cheese. The glass of white wine (5.5 euros) was rather on the economical side in terms of quantity and the quality was not great. The hired service was friendly, but I thought it was less successful that the owner already cleaned up the terrace extensively before the kitchen closed. I also think the rather intrusive music could have been left out, I'm in the middle of the forest, let me hear the birds, or else quiet background music. I actually just missed a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

This pancake house is located in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. There is a huge selection of pancakes to choose from and you will definitely go home with a full stomach. Furthermore, you can get a gluten-free pancake here without any problems. In short, highly recommended.

Bacon pancake, was good. However, for a location that calls itself a pancake restaurant, the waiting time of 50 minutes is far too long. When I asked the staff in the meantime, I received the answer that he did not know how long it would take. The table next to us who ordered later received their food earlier. Very bad service

People have no idea what they are doing. Tables are not cleaned, orders are not taken, ultimately the food takes 45 minutes. While there were quite a lot of staff walking around; all like zombies who have never had any training. Really a joke. But total lack of even the basic service a restaurant should provide. It can't be that difficult. Dutch catering industry at such a narrowest place. A shame, because it is a beautiful place.

The response of the owner is clear, they'd rather keep up appearances than to take a review seriously. Focus on your business, quality of your dishes, and your service, not digging into profiles of your reviews. Lowered rating of Atmosphere to give more clarity.

Went for dinner last Sunday afternoon. It took at least 30 minutes before someone came to take the order. 3 had already said, I'll be there soon. All in all, and with some annoyance, our visit lasted an hour and a half. When I paid, the receipt was still incorrect. A disappointing visit. Tip: place fewer tables if you can't handle it. Don't let the wait staff walk in empty-handed. Place syrup and icing sugar on each table and leave it alone.

Nice place and was curious about the new pancake concept. These tasted great and the location is great. It took a very long time for the pancakes to arrive. It wasn't busy for a Sunday, I think 30% occupied, so that wasn't the problem. They may still need to optimize since they have only just opened. Service was ok. But would do a standard dress code for all staff. Finishes it off just a little bit more

The food was very tasty, but the service still needs a course to function properly. Examples My husband asks what beer is on tap, the young man doesn't answer that, he asks if he has ice in my wine, he forgot, I get it later in a warm glass, it's not very convenient. We order 3 drinks, 2 of which were not the right ones Don't be asked if you want something to drink, just take away your empty glass. A tip for the kitchen staff: Do not place an ice cream scoop on a warm plate.

Nice location, cozy terrace, but not worth repeating. The young man serving was very friendly and correct, the lady, however, threw everything on the table, was curt and irritated, both to customers and to the young man. The pancakes were sparsely filled and had little taste. Apple/cinnamon was without cinnamon and it turned out that we could no longer order it because we had run out of apple and cinnamon. You can order extra raisins or ginger, there is no price listed so it seems like service, but a surcharge was charged for a few raisins, which is not fair. The atmosphere was not pleasant, the feeling that we were all too much for the lady serving.

I really, really love pancake restaurants. You can do so much with the atmosphere and the decor. Only that wasn't the case here. There were almost only 15 year olds who had no idea what they were doing. Apparently there is no drinks menu and I had to ask for everything myself, because no one came to you of their own accord. By the way, the coffee wasn't good either. Such a shame because the location is so nice! I really hope you change this because the place has so much potential

Had dinner here for the first time tonight with my daughter. The staff was friendly and it looked well cared for. First a soup beforehand. My daughter the tomatoes and I the onion soup. Certainly not wrong. Then the pancake. Daughter apple/cinnamon and I the green link. For me, lettuce is not necessary on a pancake. It would contain peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini and aged cheese. I couldn't find the tomato, mushrooms were so small and few and there were pieces of celery on them. We were stuffed after the pancake and I even left something behind. All in all a special experience

Well, nice place with a lot of potential but.... There was too little service. Employees worked hard but had to wait a long time to order food, dessert and pay. A family with children likes to eat quickly because children simply have little patience. There was nothing else to do for the children. The food was decent. Hand-baked pancakes, unfortunately 1/6 of my pancake was burnt black. Fortunately, the other pancakes did not have this. 15.50 for a pancake with bacon and cheese is reasonably priced.
