Disappointing experience after a promising start We had a delicious meal, and the accompanying wine was excellently chosen. Everything went smoothly until we decided to drink our coffee outside because it was uncomfortably warm inside. Unfortunately, the atmosphere changed completely when our hostess addressed us in an unfriendly tone. She remarked that we should have mentioned this, since our personal belongings (such as coats and bags) were still at the table inside. However, what really left a bad taste in our mouth was her comment: "I'm still the owner of this place." This statement came across as downright inappropriate and rude. We politely took our coffee inside, but to our surprise, our table was already fully set for the next day. We were told it was "ridiculous" that we still wanted to sit there, since it should have been obvious that this table was no longer available. We paid promptly (it was certainly not a small bill) and even left a tip, out of respect for the other staff. The attitude of the hostess overshadowed the whole visit for us.

We hadden bij molenaarsbrug gereserveerd omdat we in de avond nog een scholing hadden in de buurt. Heerlijk gegeten, we waren vroeg dus het was nog niet zo druk, mooie warme ambiance. Keurige uitleg, informatie over de kaart helaas geen tijd voor het vijfgangen diner, wat er ook voortreffelijk uit zag. Gekozen voor ala carte het smaakte geweldig. Ook het dessert was een feestje. Helaas wonen we niet in de buurt anders zouden we deze locatie zeker vaker bezoeken.

Gewoon een vrijdagavond in Alphen! Heerlijk gegeten met vrienden gewoon om wat te vieren. Er was veel persoonlijke aandacht ondanks dat het restaurant vol was. Eten was heerlijk, porties ruim, gevarieerd en het zag er prachtig uit. Echt een aanrader en we komen snel daar weer terug. Keuken en bediening bedankt voor een leuke avond 😁👍

Voldoende parkeerplaats. Het restaurant is rustig gelegen aan de Oude Rijn. Wij waren hier voor het diner en met drie personen. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Op de kaart een mooi maand-menu, maar wij kozen voor eigen keuzes vanaf de kaart. Bediening is jong, enthousiast, maar zeker niet teveel aanwezig. Gewoon keurig zoals het hoort, oplettend. Bediening vroeg tijdens de avond regelmatig of wij aan de volgende gang toe waren. Dat is erg prettig. Geen haast, maar genieten van een avondje uit. Mooie en verzorgde inrichting en de tafels staan (gelukkig) voldoende uit elkaar, zodat je niet op elkaars bord zit te kijken. Als eerste werden we verrast met een heerlijke amuse. Zo voel je je meteen welkom. Zowel onze voorgerechten, hoofdgerechten als desserts waren heerlijk. Ons gezelschap had oa twee Tournedos. Met het verzoek 1x medium en 1x medium-rare. Dit was keurig geregeld. Teken dat een zeer goede chef in de keuken staat. Ook het sanitair zag er schoon uit. Een heel klein minpuntje, was dat de bestelde bonbons (op de kaart als friandises aangegeven) bij de koffie van wat mindere kwaliteit waren. Ook wat uitgeslagen chocolade, hetgeen kan wijzen op koeling. De smaak was overigens wel goed. Een heel goed restaurant, waar je bij vertrek weggaat met een uitstekend gevoel. Een zalig avondje uit aan die Oude Rijn.

We hebben hier vanavond heerlijk gegeten. Het 5 gangen is echt aan te raden. Zeer vriendelijke en attente medewerkers.

Prachtige locatie, zeer mooi ingericht. Wij zaten heerlijk buiten aan de Rijn. Bediening op en top betrokken. Heel fijn. Kaart is zeer goed, genoeg keuze. Zelf had ik de zalm. Deze was perfect gebakken. Mijn man had de tournedos. Hij gaf aan dat deze ontzettend lekker was. Frietjes waren ook voortreffelijk. Mooie wijnen. Prijs kwaliteit is goed. Voor lekker eten zit je hier gebakken.

Lovely to eat outside on the terrace, beautiful along the Oude Rijn. We got there early when it was very quiet and around 8pm the terrace was almost full. Yet neat, friendly and tidy service by the various girls. Delicious starter with Asparagus. Intermediate course, the broth with tenderloin pieces, also tasty! As a main course, fish and sirloin steak with fries (not so tasty this time, unfortunately). Fish and sirloin steak were delicious. All nicely laid out. Finally, a delicious dessert. We had something to celebrate together and 's Molenaarsbrug is a really beautiful and tasty place for that. Thank you again!

Delicious food. Monthly menu 5 courses. Every dish made with fresh, good quality products. Perfect service, friendly, good explanation of the dishes. Nothing was too much. When we asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail, we were told that it was not on the menu, but that she could make one for us herself. So perfect

Afgelopen donderdag hier met oud collega’s gedineerd. We waren alle 3 heel tevreden over het eten, de wijn, de koffie en de bediening. Prijs was heel redelijk. Wij eten regelmatig in restaurants, hebben dus wel vergelijkingen gemaakt.

Heerlijke lunch met 13 personen waarvan 3 met ingewikkeld dieet. Ruim van tevoren doorgegeven en het was echt fantastisch.. Top kok dus.

Excellent meal with 3 courses and professional service Well occupied for a weekday evening. But very sparingly with the pouring of the red wine: not at the table, a glass with the contents of 3 thimbles was placed next to me!

Vanavond hier gegeten met twee stel goede vrienden i.v.m. 50-jarig huwelijk. We hebben een heel gezellige avond gehad, waar we met een goed gevoel aan terug zullen denken. Iedereen vond het eten heerlijk en het werd ook leuk opgediend. De bediening was heel orettig. De tafelkeuze was prima. Ga zo door!!! Onze complimenten.

I sat down and explained that I wanted the menu because I was also leaving early. She didn't understand that. People were talking about me behind the bar because I was already there and I felt some eyes poking into my back. So uncomfortable there. They came by, that's a long wait, waiting for a place with a menu card, arriving and making comments. Bah, I said I have to get my children because they are crying and I never went there again. A unique place where an atmosphere from 100 years ago still exists, a very special atmosphere

Had lunch at 's Molenaarsbrug yesterday. Nice location, but mediocre food and very sparse. We went for the 3-course daily menu, which was explained verbally by the waitress. Vitello tonnato starter, without tuna sauce. A small pile of mousse on the lettuce, through which a tuna had probably swum. Completely tasteless. Main course was hake, which was well prepared. Just a few pieces of vegetables draped around it. A bowl of fries where the four of us could take a maximum of 2. Dessert was panna cotta and when it was served, we asked each other where on earth the panna cotta was on the plate. There turned out to be 2 nutshells of mousse between all kinds of tiny pieces of sweets and a small scoop of ice cream. We suspect that was the panna cotta.

What a surprise. A truly delicious meal. A very varying specialties menu. The service is professional and experienced. Just fine. In short, highly recommended.

Beautiful building, beautiful location and a beautiful entrance with sufficient wardrobe. Neatly decorated restaurant with comfortable chairs and spacious tables. Friendly greeting on arrival and neat and professional attitude from the staff. The two of us had a wonderful dinner here. The restaurant (ground floor) was full but there was no annoying buzz and noise, just the pleasant clinking of glasses and cutlery. Good portions of starters and reasonable portions of main courses. The warm apple pie topped it off.

Had dinner with 2 couples at this restaurant, unknown to us, on Saturday. Very tastefully decorated, spacious and nice and warm. All 4 opted for the 5-course menu which we absolutely do not regret. The most amazing restaurant I've been to recently. Delicious food, great service and ambiance, the company we were with of course did help as well. All this considering, prices were very amenable. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful on the water. Looks very chic. Therefore my expectations were very high. I have completed restaurant/cafe training myself. This was therefore very disappointing. I won't go into details. But we got the starter at the same time as the main course. Upon arrival we were told that it would be difficult to find a spot because we had not made a reservation. Luckily there was a table available. After us, many more tables became available.... Service very friendly. The food taste also delicious. Although the bowl of lettuce, tomato tartare, mozzarella and basil dressing was overpriced for 14 euros. All in all, not worth repeating for us...

I valued the serenity that brought, but I ultimately feel this restaurant deserves way more attention than it is getting right now. Will be returning, perhaps even multiple times. The quality of the food, the amount and the simple fact it was a 5-course dinner for that price surprised me immensely! Our Christmas dinner at home fully met our expectations, in terms of taste and the simplicity of preparing it. It was well worth the price. Tip: to get more of a Christmas feeling, black containers would have made the dishes stand out better.
