We sat outside on the patio. It's a lovely location. I had a pulled pork sandwich. It was a large portion and tasted delicious.

We had a wonderful meal at restaurant 't Pläske in Ootmarsum on Thursday, August 14, 2025. We tried several delicious dishes, such as the schnitzel with gypsy sauce and the tenderloin. As I said, everything was delicious. The dessert was also very good. The ice cream and the many other options were wonderful. The service was also excellent, fast and well-organized. Fantastic. The location on the square is also very beautiful, and the atmosphere was great! Definitely recommended if you're in the area. Fantastic.

We had a delicious gluten-free croquette sandwich here yesterday. I've never seen that happen before. It was absolutely delicious! Great service, beautiful location.

We arrived at this restaurant for a bite to eat. It looked quite busy, so we decided to wait so we could ask the staff if they had a table for us. The answer we received was, "If there's a table outside, you can sit there, but everywhere else is full." We saw a spot open outside and took a seat. Five minutes later, another server came over to us and told us that, "If we didn't have a reservation, we couldn't order anything because it was too busy. So unless we wanted to wait a very long time, we'd better leave." We told her colleague we could just sit down, but she almost walked away, saying the kitchen couldn't handle it. We were incredibly surprised, as we'd never experienced anything like this before. If there are more tables than the kitchen can handle, something must be wrong, I think. And then the communication within the team was so poor that we couldn't be on the same page, so we were almost pulled from our table. I felt completely uncomfortable, and it was anything but customer-friendly. I never leave negative reviews, but I won't be visiting Ootmarsum again, partly because of this experience.

We had lunch here. We both had a "poaskels" sandwich (?): chicken thigh with onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, and satay sauce. This was served on a slice of brown bread. There was plenty of chicken, but I really missed the vegetables. A huge overabundance of sauce on the sandwich and unfortunately, no garnish in the form of a raw vegetable salad. There were a lot of wasps (this is the time of year), so I felt there were some solutions/facilities that could minimize the nuisance.

Ordered a satay platter. Unbelievable what you get. A beautifully presented plate, because the eye wants something too: asparagus, 200g hare satay, fries, and a salad of your choice from the salad bar. Kudos. A restaurant worth going out of your way for, especially when the satay serves as the model for the rest of the menu. Enjoyed!

A chef who does not master his craft. I ordered a pink satay. The first one was very tough so I returned it. Second offer was a piece of meat half raw. You should never have this chef behind your stove. Service was neat and correct

Perfect place ah kerkplein with large terrace, fast and attentive service. Turkish bread as a starter. Salad bar in between. Lots of spareribs and double satay of tender pork tenderloin with fries and salsify! Delicious and compliments on a crowded Sunday afternoon.

It's a great place to sit, and the food is delicious, although I don't understand why a single pancake costs €10 while other much larger dishes are just as expensive. But I can recommend it.

Lunch gebruikt bij 't Bakhoes, gelegen in het mooie oude centrum van dit stadje. Ootmarsum is een toeristische "hotspot", vooral ook voor Duitse gasten. Gelukkig valt de drukte vandaag mee. 't Bakhoes heeft vriendelijk personeel en een uitgebreide kaart. Prijzen verrassend laag. Wij aten een heerlijk broodje belegd met pittig bereid gehakt. Gewoon lekker. Ruime zaak binnen, ruim terras voor. Apart loket aan straatzijde voor schepijs. Men serveert ook pannenkoeken.. misschien wat als met kinderen reist?

We had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal, Hats off to the service and the kitchen. Live music sponsored by the hairdresser, what a wonderful town. We will come back again

We were here a few years ago on a bike tour. It's a very nice place to take a break and enjoy the view of the church square. The apple pie on offer was world-class and, all in all, very good. Friendly staff, good value for money. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

We received a very warm welcome. The waiters spoke good German, as unfortunately, we don't speak Dutch. My son had a child's portion of fish, which was the same size as an adult's. I had a very tasty tomato soup and bread.

Update June 8, 2025: Had dinner here today. The food was absolutely delicious. They even sold us a spontaneous soft-serve ice cream with and without strawberries afterward, in addition to the menu. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant was completely sold out. We'd be happy to go back anytime. Great, cozy place. Delicious food! A must-visit every time we shop in Denekamp! Highly recommended!

First had coffee with strawberry cheesecake😋 and later came back for lunch. Really enjoyed it, an absolute must!! 😃

Service is not at its best on the day we were there. Later spoke to the owner or manager. And does not like westerners, but eats them like a farmer. So left after the beer.

Went for lunch several times during the holiday. Found the quantity at this restaurant very disappointing. 1 sandwich was on our plate.

Unfriendly service. You are made aware of the salad bar. If your food is already in front of you, then do not go inside to get your salad, then your food will get cold. Gave my order, then I got the message that we do not have any more, say that when handing out the menu. Very sloppy.

Delicious food!! A bonus is that you can use the salad bar with a main course. The atmosphere is also very cozy, the location is great (on the square, beautiful view). They promise hospitality and that is exactly what we experienced. The staff is involved. Recommended! If we see Ootmarsum again, we will come back. 6/5

Enjoyed a delicious lunch, perfect salads, despite a full terrace, super fast service and very friendly staff. I don't know how everything can come out of the kitchen so quickly, but the grilled chicken on the salad was deliciously fresh and the salmon tuna combination was also very good. Great white wine with it and the sun did the rest today! Will definitely come back here!

Great! As soon as you enter the restaurant, you're warmly welcomed and immediately feel at home. The ambiance is stylish, cozy, and designed with great attention to detail – perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was simply sensational! Every course was perfectly seasoned, creatively presented, and of the highest quality.

Had a lovely meal and enjoyed the beautiful weather on the terrace. Friendly service, everything was in order.

Due to early kitchen closing (too few staff) fortunately still able to order a main course and dessert at 7.15. Only when setting the main course were we made aware of the salad bar in the restaurant. You will not be taking this when your main course is cooling down. Main course good, dessert quite expensive. Tasting for 8.50 pp.

We ate pancakes here. It's because we were very hungry. Otherwise I would have sent them back to the kitchen. They tasted tough and microwaved. The cheese was put on top and thrown in the microwave (or pan). In between they didn't ask if it tasted good. Otherwise I would have said so. (Not even when she came by to ask if we wanted something to drink, she left the empty plates there) Too bad. Because it is a nice place. For 9 euros I can make fresh pancakes myself much better.

Ordered Poaskeals.. Was it tasty? It was A-MA-ZING. A big 10! Sat on the terrace with the dogs and enjoyed a great lunch. Definitely recommended! Poaskeals: fried chicken fillet, onion, mushrooms, bell pepper, spring onions and SATÉ SAUCE on a brown sandwich. Also a delicious salad.

Great place on a very beautiful square. Good card with something different than that 13 in a dozen crap. Tasty special beers, slightly different gin and tonics and a drinks board for two that you can feed an orphanage with. And super friendly staff. Recommended!

Staff friendly. Food is tasty. but did not expect a slice of bread with a Baguette/warm goat sandwich. In this day and age, €10.5 is of course not very expensive. But a slice of bread was a bit meager.

A real relief and you are even addressed in your own language Dutch and not in English

Lekker gewoon. Daarmee afficheert het eetcafé zich. Veel streekproducten worden gebruikt voor een gevarieerde menukaart. Grote afhaalcounter en uitgifte van huisgemaakt ijs. Mooi ingericht met comfortabele stoelen. Vriendelijk personeel. De 5 sterren geef ik op grond van de waardering voor de Ereburger. En mijn tafelgenoten: de huisgemarineerde spareribs, schnitzel met champignons en de maaltijdsalade kip. Gewoon goed dus..

Yoh, we have been here several times in 2020 and 2021 when we were at the campsite in Ootmarsum. Now we were in a B&B for 1 night and so had a delicious meal here yesterday evening and lunch this afternoon. It was also great here again.

Nice, cozy and cozy restaurant. Sympathetic service, excellent and more than enough food and delicious desserts. I definitely recommend them.

During a weekend with friends we had dinner at 't Pläske. The restaurant is nicely decorated and seems to attract a wide audience. The menu fits in well with this; there is something for everyone. On the other hand, I found the food a bit disappointing. Although the spareribs were wonderfully tender, they lacked flavor. The garlic sauce served with it also seemed more like regular mayonnaise. I thought the salad bar was a plus point at 't Pläske!

A very cozy looking terrace in picturesque Ootmarsum. We stopped for a late lunch (3pm) and some drinks. First we were told that we were not allowed to sit inside because dinner had already been set. But it was already a bit chilly. Fortunately, we found a table under the shelter that we could move to. We ordered two cheese pancakes and then got two bacon pancakes. When we said that the order was incorrect, we were surprised and somewhat irritated and two cheese pancakes arrived a little later. Well, more pancakes with a few slices of almost unmelted cheese on top. The pancakes were far too thick and quite dark, the cheese almost unmelted. It looked like the bacon had been pulled off the pancakes and then the pancakes had been thrown into the pan with a few slices of cheese on top and heated up. The boy we paid with was nice when we reported it, but there was little he could do about it. Avoid, this place.

My first time here. I ordered the zalm with gernalen, just couldnt find the gernalen, big portion and taste okay.. I ordered hot water they charge me for a tea but didnt tell me upfront that they will charge for tea. The lady server seems lost. Cozy ambience.

This afternoon I sat on the terrace with my son. We ordered a snack board and then a huge thing was placed on our table. Really pleasantly surprised. Moreover, nice clean sanitary facilities and nice staff. Just 5 stars for everything.

Cozy place in the very beautiful Ootmarsum. Unfortunately the food is really substandard, ordered a brochette, which was completely dried out. Nevertheless, I went there for lunch again, because it was a Monday and there were not many other things open that day. Ordered a salad with various fish in a lemon oil. The plate was a big pile of lettuce, with a piece of smoked fish here and there. It was very dry and I couldn't taste any of the lemon oil. This for the price of 18 euros. There are really much better things in Ootmarsum than there, so I would say ignore this place.

Great food and beautiful location across the village square. However, the staff was not on top of what did and did not have gluten. A dish containing soy sauce was probably the corporate which resulted the next day in a negative reaction to the gluten.

We ate there several times during our holiday in August 2024, it was delicious On the last day of vacation after a bike ride, I got an ice cream there, soft ice cream After eating an ice cream and resting from the bike ride on the terrace, we are sent away, this was not the intention. While we had bought ice cream from them. Disgraceful reaction, will never come back here if this is how they treat customers. Very customer unfriendly Plenty of other terraces in Ootmarsum where you are welcome.

Full terrace in the morning, fast service.

Een combinatie van snackbar en (lunch) restaurant. Binnen kun je goed zitten maar ze hebben ook een terras, bediening aan tafel, maar ook een to-go bestelling is mogelijk. Als klap op de vuurpijl kan je ook een ijsje scoren. Pulked pork is lekker en ook de koffie valt in de smaak evenals her broodje frikadel to-go.
