Very good and unusual food with excellent service. However, the prices are also quite high.

This is really a fantastic place to be. Cozy on the square; beautiful setting. Relaxed & knowledgeable service, they take their time. Extensive wine list. Dishes were all of a very high standard. Really enjoy an evening out.

The drunken lobster is absolutely worth a try!

WOX, located on Lange Voorhout, has been tempting guests for 25 years with dishes with an Asian and French-Indochinese twist. They invented the concept of fusion and shared dining, which is now often characterized as hip and new. Started on Parkstraat, the current building exudes a stylish, timeless charm. On the left you will find a long room with a bar and on the right an open kitchen where the team can be seen at work. High tables and stools give the place an informal atmosphere, while an impressive dragon, designed by Henk Schiffmacher, decorates the wall and gives the interior that little bit extra. WOX's anniversary menu offers a delicious journey through some of their classics. Think of dishes such as tuna tartare with chive oil and black olive mayonnaise, thin slices of raw beef tenderloin with garlic shoyu, and king crab on iceberg lettuce with tarragon mayonnaise and yellow curry dressing. Other highlights include the stir-fried tenderloin with avocado and kimchi and the stir-fried tiger prawns with spicy caramel. As add-ons, you can treat yourself to options such as Gillardeau oyster with cucumber coulis, hamachi sashimi with coconut truffle sauce, or the sea bass with baby spinach and chili butter sauce. The combination of fresh ingredients and simple, but perfectly executed preparations makes WOX a place where pure flavors are central. The friendly service will help you with expert advice when choosing a wine (drink a delicious Viognier from Yves Cuilleron) and ensure a relaxing evening. WOX is a must-visit for those who enjoy high-quality dishes in a casual, atmospheric setting.

So we chose this restaurant because it came Michelin recommended. That label is *not* warranted. We started out with tuna tartar and beef carpaccio. These were nice although maybe a bit predictable. But then the steak (so very salty), accompanied by basic heated avocado pieces really disappointed us. Ready to be wowed again we waited… but the crab was drowned in a sauce and nestled on some plain salad. The prawn and fish filet (two separate dishes) were overcooked and dry and did not give the impression of being fresh. Also accompanied with basic vegetables (amongst others: heated cucumber). I guess that’s ’fusion’ cooking? Although maybe it’s gone into con-fusion territory. All in all you could say the food was okay, but thinking of what the owners charge… you kinda scratch behind your ears. €35 + per dish… for some dry fish and a sweet sauce? We ended up paying €270 for 6 shared mains, 1 starter and 4 cocktails. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The music was a strange choice. Very danceable but not fitting the vibe of fine dining. I could see a good oyster party happening there though.

One of my favorites in the Hague. WOX celebrates its 25th anniversary and we took the special menu for this occasion. That was a great choice and the king's crab remains my favorite on the menu.

¡Platos muy, muy deliciosos! Me encantó la carne frita con kimchi, sin duda era una estrella. La carta de vinos también es amplia y ofrece una variedad de opciones. El servicio fue excelente, sin duda recomendaría a amigos y familiares.

De kwaliteit van de maaltijd is in overeenstemming met hetgeen je van een restaurant op deze locatie en van deze prijsklasse mag verwachten. De sfeer wordt negatief beïnvloed door het geluid uit de geluidsinstallatie. Het gedreun belet een normaal gesprek met tafelgenoten. Een verzoek om het geluid op een lager niveau te zetten wordt genegeerd.

The food was disappointing for the price. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was good. Oysters were fresh and clean, for the other dishes the flavors were too strong for me.

Uitstekend gegeten met een prima bediening. Sfeer is erg leuk, heerlijk gezamenlijk hapjes snaaien. Wel Relatief duur, maar dat is het wel waard.

Best wine selection in town. Good , private atmosphere. Lovely staff.

Toprestaurant gericht op shared dining. Zeer verfijnde en pure smaken. Denk aan kingcrab met geheime curry, tonijntartaar, ossenhaas met avocado of caramelgarnalen om over het grand dessert nog maar niks te zeggen. Mooie exclusieve wijnkaart en wijnkelder. Zeer sfeervol, constant en gastvrij personeel dat zeer servicegericht is. Echt een favoriet! Locatie is zeer toegankelijk en de parkeergarage is op nog geen 10 meter lopen.

Wox is al jaren favoriet, vooral bij bijzondere gelegenheden. Ook wel eens tussendoor. ❤️

Heerlijke avond bij WOX gehad. Erg smaakvolle (shared dining) gerechten en heerlijke wijnen (wijnen wel erg aan de prijs!). Attente en professionele bediening, lekkere sfeer.

Gisteren, 29 maart, hebben we gegeten bij Wox. Het was een mooie en heerlijke avond. Naast de verfijnde maaltijd waren en zijn we onder de indruk van de gastvrouw, Kit. Super attent, gastvrij, scherp, prettig en zeer kundig mbt de gerechten en bijpassende wijnen.

Delicious sea food. This is located very next - When you come out of Parking museumkwartier museumkwartier if you book in advance it’s very cheap - for 10 euros parked for 3 and half hours … try to reserve the spot atleast 3 days in advance to get best price

Heel duur voor de kwaliteit en porties die je krijgt. Beetje Chinees achtig interieur, waardoor je denkt bij de afhaalchinees zat… met glas en zwart leren bankstellen…

Small portions, too expensive, ordinary taste.

The overal quality and food is great, albeit on the pricey side. Amazing dishes are: the Hamachi, ribeye and seabass. Things that may not be worth it: gillardeau oysters, lobster sticks, lobster coconut. It might have been a 1 time thing, but the oysters were tiny, not the 5 euro kind you'd expect, the lobster sticks were very slightly overcooked and the coconut on the other lobster dish was very sweet, a bit too kuch for my taste. But really, everything was still good and I'm nitpicking a little bit. We sat on the side with the booths and they could put dome lighting on the dark wall with the drinks, but we had a great night and the staff is very friendly!
