Rijnbeek bakery in Pijnacker

I just had a pretty bad experience with this bakery. I came in with an 8 week old puppy in my hands and a fresh scratch on my forehead (different story). I wanted to buy a piece of cake and had cash in my hand. I was sent out with the puppy with the most condescending voice. The bakery wasn't even busy. Moreover, there is no place where you can lock a dog. The lady can pause for a moment and say please go out and let me know what you need, we can figure this out. Instead she was just mean and condescending. Once again this place disappointed me. No empathy, just rules.

Found out that you can also sit there for a tea or coffee. They partner with a local social enterprise for their tea selection, which further connects them in the city. And the pastries are simply very tasty.

In short notice we were able to order a birthday cake, a bumba cake for about 25 people, and 20 bumba cupcakes. Airy and very large cake, just barely fit in the fridge. The cupcakes were made a bit simple (cake, buttercream, and edible picture of bumba) but very tasty and very popular with all the children.

Had coffee and ate cake with my wife. Very tasty. Not expensive. Pleasant staff. Highly recommended

A customer-oriented entrepreneurship course wouldn't hurt. Something about purchasing on time and being able (or wanting) to distinguish yourself compared to a big blue retailer opposite your business.... Saturday morning, December 24, 2022 around 9:30 am, I walk to AH to get some last minute groceries and thought I would quickly get some extra baguettes from the bakery.... but this baker thought differently about that.... Whether I had baguettes reserved??? No, well then we only have yesterday's baguettes available for you at a little discount because you should have reserved fresh baguettes!? I know this at the butcher, the poulterer and the caterer, but if even a local bakery understands this as customer-friendly?! I'll skip it next time, too bad.

Customer-unfriendly baker. Have been a customer for years. Wanted to change this morning and that was not possible. Well, if I buy 1 product I can pay with it. In addition, De Bakker does not accept 1 and 2 cent coins, which is legally permitted. However, this is not mentioned anywhere. That is not allowed again. The bread is fine. Nothing spectacular. The offer is hardly surprising. Something could be done about this.

A nice bakery with very friendly staff. Prices are quite high compared to the Albert Heijn (located opposite), but the quality is accordingly. There are also a number of places available to have a cup of coffee.
