Ristorante Ciao Sorella in Diemen Centrum

Lots of fruit flies around while you're eating, which is relaxing. It wasn't too warm either. It's more focused on takeout than dining in.

Ordered through one of the delivery apps. I wouldn’t call it an Italian restaurant, and will not try it again.

Really great garlicky mushroom starter! The seafood risotto and seafood tagliatelle were also very enjoyable and good portion size. Good price-quality ratio, and quite cosy inside.

I love Aglio olio pasta. It gives respect to all the ingredients,it is not milk based and it is a satisfying dish for a hot day. The Aglio olio in Ciao Sorella was the best I had in Amsterdam. Generous amount of garlic, spicy peppers and great olive oil that has not been burnt. The appetizers were also fresh and delicious- we had the bruschetta pomodoro and the Insalade carciofi. Everything was great and to top it , they have Ferret branca which is the best finishing touch to dinner.

The small space has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, though it can get a bit warm. The pizza and pasta are good quality. The service could definitely be a bit more enthusiastic. The patio is okay.

A very good choice of Italian restaurants with a more than reasonable price-quality ratio. The pizzas are excellent, the service is excellent, and the restaurant's location on the edge of Amsterdam is ideal.

Pizza didn't taste very good. Took a long time before we were asked if we wanted something to drink and also during the meal we weren't asked if we wanted something else to drink. Service was friendly though.

Hadden net na een lange week besloten onszelf te trakteren op klassieke italiaanse pizza’s. In mijn 22 jarige bestaan op deze aardbol, en toch echt wel zon 500 pizza’s verder, kan ik, samen met mijn twee vrienden concluderen dat dit toch ècht de goorste, taaiste, minst verse pizza’s ooit geweest zijn. Voor 45 euro als studenten zijnde was dit natuurlijk wel een behoorlijke klap in het gezicht, en wij raden iedereen af om hier pizza’s (of überhaupt iets) te eten of te bestellen. We geloven gewoon niet dat een eigenaar of chefkok van zon italiaans restaurant deze pizza’s de keuken uit zou laten gaan, als ie ook maar een beetje verstand van de italiaanse keuken heeft. Nu ik dit schrijf merk ik zelfs dat ik er gewoon fysiek niet helemaal lekker van ben en dat het een beetje omhoog begint te komen. Met alle respect naar het restaurant maar dit was een van de slechtste ervaringen op het gebied van eten ooit, waarbij plek 1 oprecht niet helemaal uit te sluiten valt. De bodems waren overigens ook gewoon kant en klaar en er waren een soort stukken artisjok zo groot als een mandarijn overheen gegooid, en tomaten die eerder ziet liggen bij een turkse pizza tent dan bij een italiaans restaurant. Kansloos, walgelijk en gewoon respectloos naar ieder mens met ook maar enigszins smaak.

I liked the food - you can feel the professionalism of the chef 👏 The meat is cut normally with a knife, and it is marvellous (not everywhere it is so). The salad was impressive: artichoke was added and the flavour of a traditional salad became extraordinary! 👍👍👍 Dessert - excellent. I recommend the restaurant from the bottom of my heart!

Definitely recommended! This cozy, old-fashioned Italian restaurant in East is a real gem. We ended up here by chance and were pleasantly surprised. No sleek design or trendy decor, but a warm, homely atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The hardworking chefs and friendly service ensure a top experience. The portions are large and delicious, and at a very reasonable price. The menu has been expanded with much more than just pizzas, so there is something for everyone. If you're looking for an authentic Italian meal in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place! Highly recommended. We ordered way too much and were able to take the leftovers home without any hassle, really great service!!!

Ordered pizza here often, usually fine, but unfortunately tonight we did not get the quality we are used to. The pizzas tasted like they were made a day later or reheated. They were also not warm at all (also arrived half an hour later than planned). Also called about this, but the pizzas were said to be freshly prepared. I still can't imagine that because normally they taste really different. Disappointing unfortunately.

Worthless. Cold. Pizza hard. Baguette limp. Last ordered. Waited 1.5 hours. Called of course. Not a suitable solution. Before imaging, I have been a customer for about 40 years. Never experienced something this bad before.

Disappointing experience with delivery We placed an order with Ciao Sorella, but the delivery was a huge disappointment. The pizzas arrived more than 45 minutes late and were stone cold upon arrival. When I contacted the restaurant the first time the phone just hung up after being on hold for a while. On the second attempt I got an employee on the line who nonchalantly indicated that it was “too busy” and that they would add something free to the order next time. This would be arranged via a note with our address - not exactly a reliable solution and also no help for the evening in question. Very unfortunate, because normally the pizzas are of good quality. But if you order here, it's better to pick them up yourself. Delivery is clearly a weak point.

Gave food from this place a chance now that Vero (another Italian) has been closed for 2 months. We had it delivered and it arrived after 20 minutes. Pizzas are quite good. Crispy base and well topped. Not every tasted great, but just fine, all in all satisfied. A bit on the expensive side. I really don't recommend the lasagna, I found it really disappointing. More like a tasteless cheese spread than really a lasagna. In terms of delivery time/service (friendly person at the door & fast) it gets 4 stars, in terms of food I would definitely order pizzas again if the other place is closed or I don't want to pick up. I don't order lasagna here anymore.

I used to work at Ciao, when it still belonged to Salvatore, not his brother, but the one and only Salvatore Di Miceli... This is not a legacy. Too expensive and not enough quality. Sorry Sorella! 🤷🏽‍♂️

I ate here for the first time tonight. What a horrible experience. Ok, I ordered Cannelloni first. This was inedible. Too much cheese and stringy through here and couldn't cut it through. I was given the option to order another dish. I had spaghetti petto con pollo. The pesto was not made with basil. Lots of spaghetti, some chicken fillet and 3 small tomatoes. At checkout I also had to pay €5 for the canneloni, which I sent back. Too bad for this experience. Moreover, it is not nice to eat there, because the restaurant is cold, cold, no atmosphere. There were 2 chefs behind the bar eating. They were warned on the spot.

Delicious meal with 4 people. The portions were so large that none of us had room for dessert. Personally, I can recommend the Galzone pizza with chicken shawarma.

Last week I had dinner at this restaurant, and I must say: I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a cozy, cozy atmosphere and you immediately feel welcome by the friendly staff. The interior is warm and rustic, with wooden furniture and soft lighting, which makes it a really nice place to dine. I ordered the carpaccio in advance, and it was fantastic. The meat was tender and well seasoned, with just the right amount of Parmesan cheese and pine nuts. As a main course I chose the tenderloin, medium fried, and it was absolutely perfect. You can taste that the kitchen here pays attention to details; the meat was beautifully juicy and the side dishes such as vegetables and fried potatoes were fresh and well prepared. The dessert – I went for the homemade tiramisu – did not disappoint either. It had that perfect balance of creamy and light, without feeling too heavy. A nice end to the evening! All in all, I can really recommend Restaurant de Gouden Leeuw for a fun evening out. The price is reasonable for the quality you get, and the service completes the experience. I will definitely come back again!

Food is of good quality. The wine that was served gave me the feeling that the bottle had already been open for a few days. Starter carpaccio, a bit too much oil. Main course with mushrooms were deliciously fried and had the right bite. My dining partner's chicken was on the dry side.

I have been ordering delicious pizzas for years, but the last two times I noticed that the base has changed, which is a shame.

Normally I don't complain but my dessert was already a bite taken before I opened it. Hope you liked it

Have been a customer since the beginning. I always thought it was good, but I think it has a different owner now. Don't order Lasagna because it's impossible to make! For €18 you get a small bowl consisting of 1 piece of cheese, too sick for words! I always liked the pizzas, but when it was recently delivered by someone who didn't look or smell fresh, I was actually done with it, but after this fiasco I will never, ever order from here again! The pasta was bland and tasteless. In appearance too and amazingly they were two different species. Almost impossible to taste except for a light crunch of the vegetables in it, the flavor of which was impossible to place. The tiramisu was ok, but this was the best of the evening. The table was sticky, service had 1 group where all the attention went, but even for them it took a long time. Disappointing and not recommended for people to eat here.

Eberything was so Bad!!! We orderd Spagetti promodoro with truffle and a Pizza. We get penne arrabiata without truffle and no Pizza. We waited for 1 1/2 hours and the food was really Bad. I do not recomend!

Nice restaurant with a casual atmosphere. It was quiet on Monday evening. Antipasta with great taste and ample quantity. 2 antipasti for three people was more than enough. Pizza was tasty too. House wine (Forli) also more than the cheapest wine on the shelf. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

This restaurant has had many different owners over the years and that has not always been good for the business. Believe that there are now new owners again and you notice that. To start with, the food is good, tasty pizzas. Lots of staff available and we were helped quickly, in a friendly and hospitable manner. The interior has changed and for the better. Full business, nice to be delivered and picked up a lot. That will be fine with this case.

Eten is goed maar bezorging was echt heel erg slecht. Vandaag besteld morgen in huis. Pizza moest nog uit Italië komen.

We hebben weer eens bij Ciao Sorella gegeten. Het beviel ons prima. Uitstekend voorgerecht en heerlijke pizza. Het laten thuisbezorgen van eten was wat minder maar voor horeca is het lang niet altijd makkelijk om dingen lekker en warm thuisbezorgd te krijgen. Voor ons eten in de zaak dus voor herhaling vatbaar.

Le restaurant est agréable. Ferme tôt par contre arrivez à max 20h30. La pâte des pizzas est atypique mais le tout est bon. J'ai pris les pâtes à l encre de sèche et crevettes il y avait une bonne dose de crevette à l'inverse de souvent dans ce type de plat. Le service était très agréable et tout le monde parlait très bien anglais.

Prima restaurant, het was erg druk deze avond, maar zijn prima geholpen. Eten goed warm opgediend. Bediening doet zijn uiterste best.

Heerlijk gegeten en ontzettend goeie service, mijn moeder was haar oorbel verloren, doe ze had gekregen van mijn vader. We zaten in de tram en kregen een belletje dat de oorbel gevonden was! Onze kerst kon niet meer stuk! Ik raad iedereen aan om hier een keer te gaan eten. Dikke 10

Lekkere pasta’s en pizza’s! Vriendelijk personeel en snelle bediening. Het was dan ook rustig in het restaurant. Aanrader!

Dit restaurant makkelijk bereikbaar vanaf de snelweg daarom kozen wij dit restaurant. De Entourage was niet geweldig maar niet verkeerd… we konden even geen keuze maken uit de uitgebreide kaart maar uiteindelijk 4 verschillende gerechten besteld en iedereen heeft heerlijk gegeten. Top, top, top! Grote levering van 70 pizza's gedaan voor een introductieweek van een opleiding in Diemen. Aardig personeel, warme en lekkere pizza's. Ik ga hier zeker nogmaals bestellen.

2x gegeten , eerste keer goed en lekker, 2de keer een stuk minder. Het is dus een restaurant dat wisselend presteert

Net aan aanvaring met een van de bezorgers gehad. Hij belde op met de vraag of ik naar beneden wilde komen. Toen ik beneden vroeg waarom hij geen normale bezorging tot aan de voordeur deed krijg ik als antwoord “ daar had ik geen zin in “. Toen ik aangaf dat hij dat een volgende keer wel moest doen werd hij bijdehand en begon het schelden. Raarste bezorging ooit. Ik wil toevoegen dat ik de pizza’s altijd goed heb gevonden en ook regelmatig besteld heb. Tijdens die bestellingen is ook nooit gebeld of ik naar beneden wil komen.

Ik had een salade met artisjok. In een Italiaanse salade verwacht je balsamico of in elk geval wijnazijn. De dressing smaakte naar niets. De kleine artisjok stukjes leken uit een blikje te komen en smaakten ook nergens naar. De olijven waren ook smakeloos helaas. Erg jammer.
