Absolutely fantastic, I'd love to come again!!

Unfortunately, I can give 0 stars. -Sangria was just diluted lemonade with dried fruit. No alcohol in it. -The plastic packaging was still in the mussel pot. Bon appétit. -Pork tenderloin satay was raw on the inside and I had to wait 25 minutes for it to cook through; in the end, it was super tough (like a piece of leather). Other guests had already finished eating, so it was nice and sociable. People, don't believe the 4 or 5-star reviews, because this is really unacceptable. This is the 3rd review I have posted; the others were simply deleted.

Had lunch around 1 o'clock today. At Riverside in Maasbracht. (The one in Maastricht is great, by the way.) The older gentleman. Cannot really be called friendly. Also very unprofessional. Never uses a tray. Just holds glasses and bottles in his hands. Puts them on the table and is gone again. We are never asked if everything is to our liking or if we want another drink. It takes a great deal of effort to get his attention... The flammkuchen was like concrete, inedible. The knife was so blunt, really not normal. My husband's sandwich was okay... after we pointed out that the knives were blunt, the only answer we got was that he knew that. Very disappointing for such a place, a real missed opportunity. I strongly advise against eating there. The atmosphere is fine in itself, but it is a shame that it is run by a bunch of amateurs... we will skip this place from now on. We did not feel welcome at all.

I have never eaten so badly before. The pork tenderloin satay was still raw, was taken back to the kitchen again, and only returned well over 30 minutes later (!!) by which time it was dry and completely tasteless. At the bottom of the mussel pot was a large piece of plastic from the packaging and the label, which had since come loose! We ordered a pitcher of sangria and they clearly didn't know how to make it. Mid-summer and dried orange slices and no other fruit. It was absolutely not the service's fault, but how anyone dares to run a restaurant like this is downright scandalous!! I have never experienced anything like this.

We have enjoyed visiting this location for years, dating back to the time when it was called De Kolentip. Of course, it took some getting used to the new look and approach, but by now we feel more than at home here. The owner is a true host who ensures you feel welcome. The menu is varied, and if you have a special request or want something just a little different, that is never a problem. That flexibility and personal attention really make the difference. Do you want to surprise your partner or someone else? Then give them a call in advance. They are happy to brainstorm with you and take great pleasure in making it something special. The quality of the food is good, the view of the water is beautiful, and the relaxed atmosphere ensures you want to come back. We come here with great pleasure, both privately with my wife and for business lunches and dinners. As far as we are concerned, Riverside Lounge is a place where hospitality truly takes center stage. Highly recommended!

Things ran out, it was a long wait before you got your food, and the truffle burger tasted like nothing and was hard. The cherry crème brûlée made up for it somewhat. For us, the first and last time.

Nice terrace. We were looking for tasty nachos, but they were a bit disappointing. There were very few toppings with them, at most a tablespoon; there should be a bit more. The nachos themselves were standard from Sligro or Hanos. And the cheese wasn't completely melted. Additionally, the owners were talking about updating recipes, etc. Do that after closing time, not when guests are present.

Went out for dinner yesterday and asked to sit inside with the air conditioning, but that wasn't possible because it was hot inside too. So, ended up sitting on a sweltering terrace. The calamari for starter was bad; fried for too long and very dry. I wonder if the chef actually eats this. The rest of the food was okay.

Literally everything was bad except the mussels! Had to send back all the starters, but luckily they came back 10 times better! The service was super; I feel sorry that they have to work with colleagues like that in the kitchen. Sea bass: I won't say anything about it, except that it was the worst piece of fried fish I have eaten anywhere in the last 10 years; it looked like it came out of the microwave, the skin was so wet and limp that it almost slid off my plate. Then, as the house specialty, fish and chips supposedly from (Zeeland). It was a hodgepodge thrown together from the freezer. Of course, we had to pay full price for everything! If you are reading this, walk on a bit further, for yourself and for your fellow man! You won't regret it!

I've had better food, but it's not really a place I would go back to. It wasn't bad, but I'd rather go to the Pastorsieke in Neeritter. That one is waaaay better.

We had a delicious meal. We had pasta scampi, lamb souvlaki, and a hamburger, and everything was perfectly prepared. The portions were also ample. It was great that there are multiple floors, which creates a peaceful atmosphere.

We had a wonderful evening here. The staff is so friendly! You feel incredibly welcome. We were there yesterday for Valentine's Day, and everything was themed, which was really fun. The food was delicious, and we got a huge amount. So you won't leave hungry. The prices are very reasonable. We paid around €75. This included two glasses of sweet white wine, two beers, one Coke Zero, a nacho platter (and what a platter! Huge!), and two main courses (scampi & satay). So, definitely more than a 5/5!!! 🌸

They say they serve the best spear ribs in the area. I had the spicy version, and I can confirm they're excellent. The meat literally falls off the bone, and the marinade is delicious. The view is also exceptional!

The food was delicious and fresh, and the drinks were also excellent. The service was top-notch—the gentleman who served us was wonderful, friendly, and polite. 😄 Kudos to him, and thank you! After a brief chat, during which we explained that we were from the other side of the Netherlands, we were also given a local appetizer. That was a very pleasant surprise!

After previous very good experiences, I made another reservation yesterday. As always, we received a very warm welcome, the service was excellent, and the gluten-free options were excellent. Food: amuse-bouche, starters were absolutely superb. With the main course—we both had lamb skewers—my wife's skewer turned out to be sinewy, fatty, and undercooked. It's a shame, it happens. The owner resolved this very well by not charging her for her main course. Fantastic. These things happen, and if they're handled satisfactorily, nothing but praise. We will definitely be back!!

A very warm welcome. Lunch was good. Drinks were expensive. A glass of orange juice for 4.80 is something I've never experienced before.

Delicious food and large portions

The food was delicious. We started with bread and spreads; they were pretty quick to take the food away if you were chatting. Then we had a burger, which I wanted well-done. Even though they cut it in half to check if it was cooked through, it wasn't fully cooked. And finally, a lava cake, which was baked a bit too long. It was very tasty, though. A small tip that didn't bother me too much, but might bother others: There were quite a few mosquitoes/flies on the windowsill. The person I was with had over-salted potatoes with their schnitzel. And twice on one plate, a piece was missing. We're not complainers; we had a great time. It was delicious too 😊

We've been visiting the wonderful Riverside Lounge many times. When the weather's nice, you can enjoy the beautiful terrace overlooking the harbor. Inside, the ambiance is modern and bright. The service is very polite and fast. The selection is varied, so there's something for everyone. The dishes are typical, but fresh and tastefully presented. A lovely trip to the water.

The staff is friendly, but you have to keep asking for drinks. It wasn't busy, and there were three people behind the bar. We had to send back a meal twice; once the adjustment wasn't correct, and the second time it was severely burnt. Desserts also didn't go smoothly, and they even forgot to serve coffee that we ordered. Minor things can always happen, but this was a series of things that went wrong. Not worth repeating.

Very friendly and attentive service, as well as delicious food with a view of the harbor. Giorgio, in particular, is very hospitable and always has a kind word on his lips.

Very pleased with the food. The staff was also very friendly. So very satisfied in that respect. However, when we had finished eating and cleared away, there was no one to be seen. No one came to ask if we wanted dessert or a drink for 25 minutes. Too bad. It seemed too busy for the staff.

A lovely place almost in our backyard. We come here with some regularity, sometimes for a nice drink or a bite to eat. Price-quality is good, the service customer-friendly and Giorgio who always makes you feel extra welcome. The small amuse of the house also gives just that little bit more. Until next time!

The salad is very simple: lots of lettuce, 3 shrimp, 2 slices of salmon. A little mayonnaise sprinkled on top. Not worth it.

Amazing place! The Caesar salad was fresh and delicious, and the tea selection was impressive. Our waitress, Anouk, was incredibly sweet and gave outstanding service. Highly recommend!

One of the best spareribs I have ever eaten. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the taste was delicious. Vegetables, fine. So really enjoyed eating outside on the terrace behind glass overlooking part of the shipping of the Maas.
