Unfortunately, a very bad experience. I ordered takeout, and the chicken wasn't prepared properly, tasted strange, and looked unhygienic. The food was lukewarm, and the service was slow; I had to wait a long time without any explanation. Afterward, I had a stomachache and felt like shit. It's unacceptable for a restaurant to handle hygiene and food preparation this way. If you want a stomachache or a shitty meal, order food from here. Never again.

The food is good, but two pieces of chicken per serving is a bit small for the price. And the saoto ingredients could also use more chicken.

Ordered food today, October 5th. The food was tasteless. Very mediocre. I ordered one nasie special, a portion of satay, and a bami special, and literally threw it away after two bites. The satay was also terrible. The satay sauce was cheap supermarket satay sauce, not Surinamese satay sauce. Unfortunately, we live in Lelystad and didn't feel like making the trip back and forth. We called, and they were very nonchalant about it. "We'll report it to the kitchen." Romeo's Place is a thing of the past for us.

Authentic Surinamese Javanese dishes packed with flavor. The moksalesi is typically Creole-Surinamese, but it's also delicious! The prices are low, and the containers are overflowing!

The food here is really good. That's also why it's busy and the wait is a bit longer. You can also order by phone if you can get through. I did that today, and the wait was very short. I understand that a long wait can be annoying, but for me, it's worth it.

A truly terrible experience. I ordered nasi well in advance, only to be told on-site that the order had been accepted but the nasi was gone! This was all done with a smile.

After four unsuccessful attempts to order bakabana by phone from Romeo's Place—no one answered—I decided to drive 23 minutes to the store. I then stood in line for 25 minutes, while the phone rang continuously without an answer. Once I was in line, I was told they were out of stock. Very disappointing. Unreachable, no communication about stock availability, and a lack of customer focus. This is not a professional approach.

Simply delicious food, it can sometimes take a while but we always come back 👍❤️

We ordered food so we wouldn't have to wait too long. They gave us a time when it would be ready. When we arrived, we still had to wait an hour for our food, and they didn't tell us anything else. I won't be ordering food from here again anytime soon.

Got food for a birthday party for the second time, the quality was fantastic. Because you gave so much, everyone was still able to enjoy it the next day.

The food is delicious and that's why we often go back but gosh how are the people who work here so slow? Every time you wait at least an hour for your food. There's no point in calling first because you have to wait a long time anyway. Really unbelievable that there is no speed in it after all these years..

I had ordered catering for 14:30. When I get there she tells me to come back at 15:30. When I get there around that time the whole place is full of people who have been waiting for an hour. I get my food at 15:50. Then she says I haven't paid. Luckily we still had the receipt and I could have my food. The food was good, but not worth the stress.

What a bad experience! I came to wait for my turn, but when it was finally my turn, it turned out that they did not have everything I asked for in stock. Ultimately I decided to go for the fried rice with chicken, but even that wasn't available. This was really disappointing. I hope they are better prepared in the future because this was definitely not good service.

I ordered white fried rice for 50 people today, and the food was perfect! I have only received compliments about the food. The service when I arrived was super good! The people who were eating didn't know what happened to them, it was that tasty! Definitely worth repeating. And thank you for your friendly service, always with a smile!

I order food from here at least once a week, but unfortunately not anymore. I couldn't reach anyone for half an hour, so I went to the store, waited another 15 minutes, but was not helped, so I left. Success

Typical Surinamese warung with lots of choice! We often come all the way from Assen to Almere and usually order food from you! We enjoyed our noodles and nasi today and the bakabanas were freshly baked and crispy! Highly recommended!

Sorry, but I've been trying to get someone on the phone for an hour to order food and around 4:00 PM there are no dishes because they are sold out. Don't get it. And the time they indicate to pick up is, you also have to wait 45 minutes before you get the food. REALLY BAD SORRY I'M REALLY ANGRY ABOUT THIS. We do not live in Suriname but in the Netherlands. Time is money and when I have eaten, my appetite for food is gone due to the frustration. So people, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I don't care what others think, but people from ROMEO this has often happened to me. Also today I haven't been able to get hold of anyone since 4:00 PM.

Delicious food with telo with bakkeljauw, it was tasty, I really enjoyed it, satay was also good, but the peanut sauce could be a bit better, I think it is very thick and looks like it just came from the supermarket. The little sauces that you get with your food are also really tasty, never eaten before.

Lots of tasty food for a fair price. The family atmosphere can be tasted in the food. Very generous portions. Just don't forget my bakabana next time 😉

Food is perfect! The waiting area is a bit gray. Personally I don't get the feeling that it really is a Surinamese warung on the inside. I also placed an order by telephone to pick up later. Once I got there, a few dishes that I had ordered and paid for in advance were sold out. I did get my money back for this.

It's been a long time since I picked up really tasty Surinamese food. Well seasoned but not salty! We ordered different dishes and they were all delicious! At decent prices. The collection time was also well met. You will see us more often when we are in the area again.

Delicious Surinamese food for not too much money. The only disadvantage is that the wait is very long and it is difficult to reach by telephone.

We ordered bam, nasi and petjel for 20 people for a party (this has been done often). We called on the day of the party to report something, and then we heard that the order had not gone through, even though we had received confirmation. We were at a loss for a moment! BUT Romeos Place looked for a solution and ensured that everything could be picked up properly. Thank you for the solution and your input and extra satay sauce ;). It was delicious as always!

Today I got berkat, saoto with egg and bean curd tongue. The berkat was not tasty, yellow rice was hard and dry, noodles and nasi had no taste. Saoto was not tasty, I think too diluted. Sambel of the bean curd lontong was far too sweet and not peppery. In the past I have bought food more often, but the quality is really deteriorating. This is very unfortunate. I'm a regular customer, but if you sell this for me next time, you'll have lost a regular customer. And you place your order in advance, but when you get there, you have to wait sooo long.

Food overall 7.5. Ordered at counter but busy and messy. Food was fine but unfortunately again too late for the spring rolls and tjauwmin. Baka bana an 8.

Rude people on the phone. Just laugh at you on the phone when you are owed food because they gave you the wrong order. Something they don't have as standard in the menu, so you have to wait until they have it again and you are in the area, because you don't live around the corner. Previously, the food has always been good, except for the long wait. But after the last time it was ready, waited 1.5 hours. No excuses or anything. If you have kids at home who are waiting, this is absolutely not recommended.

Only received two pieces of chicken with my fried rice, 1 piece was 80% bone.

Ik heb er bami speciaal gekocht. Ik vond de smaak tegenvallen. Er zaten twee sate's erbij. De pindasaus was echt van remia. Geen typisch javaanse smaak zoals ik gewend ben. Niet gekruid voor mij een tegenvaller. Maar ja smaken verschillen misschien vind een ander het super lekker

Vandaag voor het eerst besteld en het eten was super snel klaar en is heerlijk!! Ik heb zelfs een extra bakabana gekregen😄 ik kom zeker terug!

De bami speciaal was heerlijk, vlees was ook lekker mals. Bestelling was binnen een halfuur klaar zoals aangegeven. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! Dawet is een must natuurlijk, was heerlijk 👌🏾.

Vandaag voor het eerst Surinaams eten gehaald bij Romeo's Place. We deden een dagje Almere. Het waren porties Berkat, Nasi speciaal en Bami speciaal. Heerlijk gegeten hoor en het geld waard. Alleen zou ik willen toevoegen dat we rempejek, aardappelsambel in de Berkat misten. En toch nog iets meer goedangan sambel. Verder waren alle maaltijden echt heerlijk!!! Romeo's Place, the place to be voor de authentieke Surinaamse keuken.

Catering voor onze bruiloft, eten was super lekker de gene die het eten bezorgde hielp ook met opbouwen. Zeker een aanrader!

Eten is top! Soms wel uren wachten.

50 minuten moeten wachten op onze bestelling, eenmaal thuis blijkt de bestelling niet compleet en nog koud ook. Gebeld naar de zaak, krijg je iemand aan de telefoon die er maar weinig van af weet. Op de achtergrond staat iemand te schreeuwen wat hij moet zeggen, het antwoord was: volgende keer beter. Jammer, kwamen er vaker maar dit was de laatste keer.

OMG na lang zoeken eindelijk weer goed Javaans eten . Alles naar smaak en super lekker . Kom helemaal uit Spijkenisse, was een aanrader van mijn broertje die in almere woont . Nou ik kom er nu vaker zodra ik er ben .

Heel lekker eten maar je moet wel geduld hebben....

Kunnen ze iets doen aan hoe lang alles duurt? Jazeker, maar het eten is echt lekker. Ik beveel ze zeker aan. Houd alleen rekening mee dat je echt laaang moet wachten. (Aanvulling) Tip om snel geholpen te zijn: “bel van te voren”. Zo ben ik nu de afgelopen keren heel snel geholpen. Ik kon op de afgesproken tijd komen en mijn eten stond op me te wachten🤩

Ik heb diverse gerechten besteld voor ons feestje op kantoor. De Catering was fantastisch verzorgd door Romeo's Place. Alle collega's vonden de gerechten heerlijk en smaakvol en allen hebben heerlijk gesmuld. Romeo's Place is de beste Warung van heel Almere en overtreft veruit alle overige Javaanse Warungs. We zullen zeker vaker hier bestellen. We geven Romeo's Place 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Top!

Geweldig eten en betaalbaar! We komen en bestellen hier elke keer weer. Het hebben van geduld is echter wel een pre.

Eten is hier super lekker je moet er wel even op wachten zelfs als je telefonisch besteld.

Lekkere broodje pom!! Loempia ook heerlijk. Telo trie ook te gek, maaarr soms klopt de verhouding telo en trie niet... Maar toen ik het zei bij de volgende bestelling was het wel verbeterd. Mensen daar ook altijd vriendelijk.

De catering was op tijd bezorgd en het eten heel lekker ook de gasten waren heel tevreden.

Heerlijk eten en zeker niet te duur.

Lekkerste Berkat in Almere. Alles is zoals het hoort. Je kan beter online of telefonisch bestellen. Eten is netjes in gepakt.
