Rosita's Mexicaans Restaurant. in Wijk 02 Almere Stad

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Something has changed in the past months- dishes are smaller, less tasteful and it took quite long to get it. Staff are very nice and helpful.

Rosita's is a great restaurant for young people. If you're a dinosaur like me, you might find the food a bit less appealing (salty sausage and such). It's prepared quickly, has a bit of a "feeder" atmosphere, and is very busy. But that last part does indicate that many people enjoy going there. So if you're a bit older like me, go to a good steakhouse or something...

Delicious Mexican food. The best in Almere.

Yesterday was last time I visited this place. It was second time I was there and I saw a mouse running on the floor between the tables. Guests reported that to the waiters but there was no any specific actions taken. We asked the waiter about it, and the response was: "we have mice in summer, but in winter its very uncommon". As I see from the previous feedbacks, this is not a first time. How can I be sure that management which cant keep the mice out of the restaurant, can keep them out of the kitchen?

I've been coming to Rositas for years and have been ordering the same thing every time since 2019. Never had any problems and always top-notch service. I will always recommend the spareribs.

Cozy place with exceptionally good food. Too bad you can't make reservations, so you have to take a chance. By 6:30 PM, it was already packed. Great that they also had Lagunitas IPA.

We had a wonderful meal here for our friend's birthday! It was quite busy, so we had to wait a bit for a table, but it was about fifteen minutes before we were seated. We received excellent service! We were very happy with the delicious food, and they came to us quite quickly, considering the crowd. We had such a sweet waitress, a very outgoing girl, who helped us with everything. We are very grateful for everything! ❤️ We will definitely be back. It had a really cozy vibe, and we would come back just for Inaya 🥰

The staff was friendly, but the service felt quite chaotic. The starters didn’t arrive at the same time, and for my boyfriend’s birthday they brought a sparkling candle inside a glass full of ice — instead of a slice of cake! It felt very cheap, and honestly, no restaurant should do that. Plus, they did it at the beginning, even before we had our starters.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful meal before our annual Scare Me Almere dinner. The food arrived quickly, the menu was extensive, and the cocktails were delicious. The service was excellent, and I think the young man was from the Antilles/Surinamese. Top-notch restaurant!

We've been eating here for years, and it's a real ice cream favorite in the Netherlands. It's the only place that comes close to authentic Mexican food. We usually eat the fajitas. The price-quality ratio is excellent. The portions are huge. All the Mexican dishes here are simply delicious. It's a shame you can't make reservations; it's always (and rightly so) packed. This also makes it a bit crowded and noisy. The tables are small, and the dishes are extensive, so that can be a bit of a challenge. I always keep coming back.

Rositas has a nice atmosphere and overall good food but is not suitable for those who cannot eat gluten. They're allergens menu is not trustworthy. We had dinner there as a family in the weekend and after checking the menu online beforehand we thought there were enough gluten free options for us. Once we were ready to order we were informed that in fact most of the dishes which are listen as gluten free actually has gluten in them. In the end they made something different for my husband which they said would be gluten free, however later that night he started feeling really bad, so we suspect there was anyway gluten in his food. We felt their approach to this was disappointing and irresponsible. Hopefully they can update their allergens menu for future guests and take better care.

Great restaurant with really good food. I’m not usually fond of mexican cuisine personally but i did give it a try in Rosita’s and I really enjoyed all i ate. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy as much was the crème brûlée. I’m unsure why it’s a chocolate one. I have never seen such thing and i did not enjoy. The rest of the food - empanadas, nachos, the grilled meat and the corn was great. The environment was great and the decor is also really great, it all matches in a seamless way.

Delicious food! Although it's probably best suited for celebrating a birthday with family. I felt like everyone received the special (though nicely done) birthday service :p

Really tasty Mexican food, Taco Biria and the Nachos are my favorites, the Spare Ribs are also good. Cocktails are also delicious, especially recommended is Happy Hour on Fridays and Saturdays, from 10:30 PM to 11:30 PM, an XL cocktail for the price of a regular one.

Great atmosphere, was really busy for a weeknight! Staff are attentive and friendly, and they made a great pina colada! We ordered the nachos to start, which is decent portion size for an entree (could be enough as a main for one person) and the vegetarian enchiladas. The enchiladas are a very good portion size - better to share - and come with guacamole, Mexican rice (which is so yum and flavoursome), beans, and two spinach / cheese enchiladas. I didn’t love the enchilada filling, would be better if it were beans or some vegetarian meat. But other than that was a delicious meal!

A beautifully decorated Mexican restaurant on Koopmanstraat (a side street off the Grote Markt) in the center of Almere. If you've ever been to Mexico, you'll immediately recognize the authentic atmosphere (including the background music). The menu is diverse and offers a wide variety of choices. We had delicious chicken nachos as a starter (with a shot of tequila for myself, of course 🇲🇽). The main course was a bit disappointing (ribeye steak & tenderloin). Desserts, on the other hand, were sublime (creme brûlée, pastel chocolate & barco platano). The service was friendly and welcoming, but not particularly fast (I had to keep asking to take my order).

What a Mexican gem Rosita is in Almere Centrum. We were lured in by the good reviews and were truly pleasantly surprised. We couldn't have ended the summer better! We're not from Almere ourselves, but we'll definitely be back. What delicious Mexican food and a great menu; you want to try everything. And 5 stars for the friendly and helpful service; everyone really took their time with us, which you don't find everywhere anymore. We sat on the cozy terrace, but were surprised by the spacious interior. It was packed there too; it felt like "Mamma Mia the Party," but with a Mexican atmosphere instead of a Greek one. Highly recommended!

It's always a party at Rosita's in Almere. Delicious cocktails, wonderful food, a cozy atmosphere, fantastic service, and always a cheerful smile. So much care and attention has been put into everything. We go here when we have something to celebrate, but it's also a great place to just recharge after a busy week. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the varied appetizer with nachos, cheese, pulled pork, and guacamole was so yummy! We were serenaded loudly on our wedding day, and we weren't the only ones; we laughed so much. Wonderful!

We ordered a fajita for two, which came with steak, chicken, and shrimp. The flavor was excellent. The waitstaff was also very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend it.

A cozy restaurant, and for once, not in the typical "Fisher Price" colors. I was a guest, so I didn't spend anything.

We ate here earlier this year. We had to wait for a table for two because it was busy. No problem, of course. After having a drink on the terrace, after about 45 minutes (no problem), we were able to sit inside at a high table opposite a bench with a table. The table with the bench was empty, and we asked if we could sit there, but they said we couldn't because it was for three people. We ordered our drinks, and to our surprise, two people were placed at the table with the bench. We asked the server why they were there and not us. The lady replied that she had to put them somewhere. She also acted very honorable. Very unusual. But anyway. Otherwise, the food was excellent. We went back again today, Saturday, July 19th, and we were looking forward to it, but it was very hot, so we wanted to sit outside. Outside, there was still one table for 3, one for 4, and one for 2, but it was crammed between people, and the people next to it had taken the cushions, making the table (which had a bench on one side) very cramped. The 3-person table wasn't allowed, nor was a 4-person table, so she went to get two cushions for the bench at the 2-person table, which had a chair on the other side. She arrived, irritated, with two pathetic little cushions (I'm a really big guy), and then I had to squeeze in between them on the bench and my wife on the chair. Keeping in mind that the waitress also just kept walking away when we asked for something, and was harassed and grumpy, with a very disinterested mentality. We're done with it now. Every time it's like this. Such a shame because the food is good, but the friendliness, service, and perhaps some improvisational skills are lacking. It seems like cramming and making money. We're done with it and will be back. Never again. There's always something!

The restaurant is so beautifully decorated that it looks like you are in Mexico and they have very tasty food for the whole family. They also have vegetarian options. They also have sweet spareribs for the less strong stomach that are very tasty!

Always delicious food there in a very cozy Mexican ambiance. It is usually very busy so the service can vary a bit but they are always very nice and do their utmost. Because of the crowds there is a lot of noise you have to be in the mood for that, a very relaxed atmosphere, often large groups with small children.

Steak of mixed grill and children's right was tough, was anything but medium cooked or of too poor quality. The rest of the food was good. We sat on the platform at the height of the toilet, the music here is very loud, talking to each other is only possible by shouting and understanding each other is also quite a challenge, because everyone also raises their voice to remain audible.

My family and I came here every 2 weeks for a nice bite to eat. My son (5) and I have our birthday on the same day and we really wanted to celebrate here. We were NOT told on the phone and on location during the reservation that cake was not allowed. There were 12 of us! And the little one really wanted to eat his spiderman cake. Were we accused of eating secretly?! I mean WHAT?! 12 people secretly??? They had put the cake on the table themselves.??! And then without providing plates or cutlery, they also charged a service fee per person!? For someone who comes every 2 weeks as a regular customer. I have never felt so miserable, ON OUR BIRTHDAY. The mother of the restaurant is delicious, my son is also always very polite. But the daughter is always so arrogant! And then immediately the accusations. I am also an entrepreneur myself, I have a restaurant in Amsterdam city, if my staff were like that I would have closed the doors a long time ago. Poah what a meanie. I think she trusts it because it's always so busy. Always had a nice meal! Too bad I don't want to come here anymore, and I don't recommend it to my own customers who live in Almere. My heart is broken here.

If you like it busy and noisy, this is your place. Cozy interior, good food, excellent wine served by a real sommelier, attentive staff that takes good care of you. We enjoyed it, even the bill. But because of the noise and the music, you can hardly hear yourself think. Fortunately, you only have to eat.

Everything was excellent except the empanadas were little too less for its price. Love the way celebrations have that zing to it, definitely coming back for that creme brulee.

Disappointing experience It really wasn't a pleasant experience. It was incredibly hot inside – far too hot to sit or eat comfortably. No ventilation. In addition, everything went very slowly. The staff was slow and we didn't get our food at the same time, but one by one, with long intervals. So we couldn't really eat together. Everything was poorly organized and it seemed like no one knew exactly what needed to be done. Unfortunately not a second time for us. Too bad birthday party also ruined...

Wow, what an experience at Rosita's in Almere! We had dinner with five people on Easter Sunday and it was really fantastic. The food was so delicious, I dare say that this is the very best Mexican in the Netherlands! The spare ribs were really next level — super tender, fell right off the bone. The service was also incredibly sweet and made us feel completely at home. We enjoyed it from start to finish and can't wait to come back!

food was nice but for you shouldn’t be charging 12 euros for 4 shrimps in butter…that’s a little weird cocktails. everything else is nice we love it, but the smell in the restaurant is a little unbearable. Please first make sure that you change your mop or the water… second please ventilate the place.

Hi dear people, Last Monday I went out for dinner with my family at Rosita's in Almere. Wow, what a recommendation again. I keep being amazed at how I keep discovering new restaurants that just surprise me enormously. I've been here before but had never been inside to eat before. This is also because I was on holiday in Mexico for a month and the food really disappointed me then. Lots of black bean stew and guacamole. I also remember that I went all over the place to eat Chili con Carne, it turns out it wasn't Mexican at all. Nowhere to be found. Anyway, I found it disappointing. With the exception of the food in the AYCE luxury resorts. In my opinion, they are one of the best in the world, together with the Dominican Republic. But anyway, that's not what this review is about 😂 Back to Rosita's. The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is super cozy. I heard that they even have salsa nights here on certain days. The table and chairs are moved to the side, creating a large dance floor. The food was really delicious. Nice extensive menu, not too much, but ... tada Chili con Carne 😉 I didn't order that, but it's there. I had delicious empanadas as a starter, where you can choose from chicken, beef, tuna or vegetarian. I had the beef version. Really delicious people, good taste and delicious with that salsa sauce. The Mini Tostadas Salmon were also delicious. It was really so good and filling, that people ordered the starters as main courses. The Taquitos, Gamba al Ajillo are really recommended, the Nachos were also great, but there was really a plate full of food. Then you are almost full 😂 As a main course I had the mixed grill Rosita's. Wow, wow, wow.. deliciously spiced, well seasoned, good temperature.. I can't say anything else. Spareribs good Chorizo ​​good Steak very good Chicken nice and juicy Corn on cob sweet and crispy There was just a kind of vegetable that I couldn't quite identify, and my taste buds didn't like that.
