The roti was fine, but nothing special. There was no pepper in it either. The portion was large, but that's really the only positive. Also, it took over an hour for the food to be delivered, even though I live nearby. And it was quite expensive, in my opinion.

Had to wait longer than 1,5 hours. They got the order wrong and I couldn’t reach them. I called them for 15 mins and no one picked up the phone. There was no egg in my order. The chicken was super dry. I ordered the curry chicken and got the spicy chicken…. So basically everything that could go wrong went wrong. Well, the food was warm.. that’s what went right. Never ordering here again.

The bara is inedible; I had to use five paper towels to remove the oil. I don't need to explain how to make bara, do I?! Cod sandwich and chicken satay sandwich, no sour sauce. Bread + contents = done! And what are you asking for? €8! Unbelievable, nauseating, dry, full of oil, the food tasted awful at all. Waste of money. I hope you read reviews so you can make some changes to the food.

Very disappointing experience. Honestly, one of the worst rotis I've ever had. 1. The portion size is ridiculously small for the price. 2. The roti doesn't come with an egg (you have to order that separately). 3. The chicken leg roti only contained two small pieces of chicken — €16.95 + €1.80 for an egg = €18.75 total. 4. The lamb roti costs €20.50 + €1.80 for an egg = €22.30 total. So, a total of €41.05 for two mediocre rotis. That's absurdly expensive. I understand we're in Amsterdam, but this makes no sense. The delivery also took a very long time. Never ever again 🙏🏻

Delivery always takes at least 1.5 hours, whether you order in the afternoon or evening. Poor communication. Very annoying. They prefer you to order through their own app, which takes even longer there!

It takes them forever to deliver food, I ordered through Uber Eats, currently waited for 2 hours for my food. When I called them for an update they were extremely rude (delivery guy was fine though). Food was pretty good though.

Very poor service, long waits for your food, and if you contact them to complain, they get angry. Highly recommended not to order from them. It's a shame, they used to be good.

Ordered at 18:48, delivery supposed to take 37 minutes, called at 19:44. They told me courier was on its way. Now, I live 15 minutes from the restaurant by bicycle. Food did not arrive at 20:15 yet. Then I called again at 20:15 and they would call me back within 2 minutes. which they did not do. It is 20:20 now. So, they lie on the phone and it takes light years to get your food. Don't do it here. You will be starting and get mediocre food (overcooked beef, undercooked patatoes, bland tasting roti. Tempeh was ok. Order elsewhere.

We waited 2.5 hours for our food, called five times, and twice they just hung up on us. The third time, it was supposed to be here in 15 minutes, but after 30 minutes, I called again, only to be told, "I'll call and get back to you." After 15 minutes, I called again, and again, the communication was very chaotic and I was hung up on. Finally, I said, "I don't want it anymore," and then it was delivered.

Ordered through Thuisbezorgd and honestly, such a waste of money. The bakabana was soggy and tasted really bad compared to all the ones I’ve had before. The rice was dry, the roti wasn’t good either. Even the fried dough appetizer was so oily ! I loved the yellow spicy sauce they send with the food ! I ate it next day with the food i cooked at home ! Delivery also took quite long, and to make it worse they forgot the pinda sauce. When I called, the lady kept saying she had added the extra cup I ordered… but it simply wasn’t there. And they did send it with another driver later ! ( which is a good sign tho , that they do care if the order is not complete ).. To be honest, this might be the worst Surinamese food I’ve had in Holland. Maybe I was just unlucky that day, I don’t know… i wish them the best and i hope they do care about the way they pack the things so the food will be delivered is better condition !

Food is good but sadly they use microwave to warm it up everytime… and way too expensive for that.

Thuisbezorg order - says 30-40 mins delivery time. But it’s been 1 hour 15 min and counting. And they lie to you on the phone if you call them saying the courier just left and will be there in 10 mins or so. (I called at 2:11pm and it’s now 2:50pm and still nothing) Just cut the BS and be honest about the wait time.

After waiting over an hour and a half, almost two hours actually, the food arrived. Apparently, it was very busy. In the meantime, I called to ask for a 50% discount because the delivery time was taking so long. After opening the bag, it turned out that not everything was delivered and that part was wrong. I called again, and it would be deducted from the bill. The unfortunate thing is that the food is quite good, but because of the long waits and the incorrect delivery, I won't be ordering from here again anytime soon. I'll wait and see what I get back. It's to their credit that it's offered. If it does happen, it certainly makes up for the long wait and the incorrect delivery. Update: I haven't received a refund, and I haven't heard anything since. All in all, I won't be ordering from here again.

Worst of all, they lie on the phone. I called an hour ago and the guy said the delivery guy was on his way. Just tell him you don't have your affairs in order and the delivery will take two to three hours, Astagfirullah. That's awful.

The food was incredibly bad and spoiled. I immediately had a stomach ache and a sore throat from their food. The receptionist was incredibly rude and unfriendly, and the delivery driver seriously just threw the bag of food at me. I've never experienced anything like this before! I advise everyone against ordering from here!

This used to be one of my favorite places to get spicy chicken nasi, but unfortunately. Quality has been going downhill for a while, but now they've even started scamming. Not recommended anymore. If you order spicy chicken nasi special without a promotion, you get 2 containers. But if you order the same one with a 1+1 promotion, you still only get two containers. So it's not 1 + 1 of the original, but a much smaller portion and then that 1+1 for the same price. Called them, and they say they do that with all promotions. Strange practices.

Ordered online through their website. Food took 1:45 to be delivered and 2 items were missing. When trying to call them and tell them, they hung up on me in the middle of the call.

After ordering many times: food always good but delivery always terribly late. After having to wait another 1.5 hours, this is now the last time I ordered here.

Amazing authentic Surinamese food managed by friendly helpful staff. Rotis both vegetarian and non vegetarian were superb. They also do Indian! Thank you for a lovely meal!

So far the food has always been tasty and warm, as we always receive it. Delivery times alone are something to do something about because they are just really bad. Address that and overall stars will rise. I've never been inside myself so I can't say much about it for now.

Ordered food. The delivery time would be between 25 and 45 minutes. After 1.5 hours they were still not there. Called three times. They just string you along. "The delivery person just left." "We'll be there in 5 minutes." "The delivery person is around the corner." It's okay to make mistakes, but don't sell me nonsense. This was the last order.

Big portions. Love their vegetarian Roti. Veggies are crispy and not overcooked; perfect for (re)heating 🤩. Always go there late after the gym and can eat a small second dinner the day after from the same order or share the order with another person if I order some extra veggies.

Delivery comes quickly and food tastes good but unfortunately with vegetarian dishes there are few vegetables but a lot of tofu & soy substitute meat.. see my photo, half a bakje is soy substitute meat. And they forgot plastic cutlery even though they paid extra for it.

Terrible. We had waited an hour and a half for our food and when it arrived it was cold. The potatoes with the roti were raw, the skin was far too thick and the chicken was dry. Absolutely no taste. The cod sandwich was just as bad, it was inedible. The bread was old and as chewy as I don't know what. The cod had no taste!! Really a waste of our money. Never again.

Winner Roti Route 2024!!! Every year we tour Amsterdam with a bunch of roti tasters, with the aim of finding the best roti the city has to offer. In this nice spot on Kinkerstraat, the chicken is just as tender as the employees are nice. Every bite of the veggie roti roll was delicious. All the individual parts were very tasty, the potato, the long beans, the eggplant, the sauce, the tofu and the tempeh. And the icing on the cake was that it really was one whole. 14 of us were invited to sit inside and wait until the roti was ready, tables were pushed together and the air conditioning was on. All in all a very nice and welcoming atmosphere. Good people, good food, this place is definitely worthy of a logo in the window!

Had to wait a little longer, but what an incredibly large roti roll I got for 10 euros per roll. This was really not a normal size, you could feed an entire village with it. It was very tasty and definitely recommended if you are very hungry

Good, plentiful. I ordered at home via the app in Dutch (I don't know the language) so I didn't really know what to expect. I get this chicken curry with sauce, green beans, potatoes, an egg.. All together... then there was (luckily) this overpowering sauce that was seriously too strong, at least for me, so I threw it away. A very satisfying mix of flavors. 5 stars.

besteld via uber. Na 1,5 uur belde ik het restaurant, maar krijg alleen maar een boze “het is onderweg”. Daarna nog bijna 40 minuten gewacht. (ik woon 12 min fietsen van het restaurant). Het eten was wel lekker daarom toch twee sterren

Indiaas eten is lekker de roti heeft helaas niets met roti gemeen kwa smaak, droge kip droge aardappel en smaakt voor de rest niet naar Surinaamse roti maar vooral naar een Indiaas recept. Conclusie veel geld uitgegeven voor iets anders dan ik verwacht van roti!

Al maanden bestel ik hier mijn eten en het is tot nu toe altijd top. De prijs ligt wat hoger dan gemiddeld, maar het zijn ruime porties en smaakt enorm goed. Telefonisch ook altijd vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bedankt voor de goede service en het lekkere eten! :)

Ik heb een roti bakkeljauw besteld, en ik moet zeggen dat het mij echt heeft gesmaakt, de portie is goed voor twee personen, het contact met de roti shop via whatsapp verliep uitstekend, niets anders dan lof. Ook de bezorging was snel en vriendelijk.. Eet smakelijk Stanislaus Ali

Got to this place but couldn’t really find it as it didn’t have clear signage. As I entered, it looked like they were preparing a photoshoot to use for advertising the place. Good for marketing the business but it interrupted the entire place during opening hours. We got there with the intention to sit and eat but couldn’t because the photographer and makeup artist had setup on all the seating that should have been for customers. Food looked okay in the display, but when ordering they couldn’t find the menu because of the photoshoot happening. Got the menu, with no English, but that was okay we knew what we wanted and we figured it out. There was one gentleman that spoke English and other languages, he also helped us out. We ordered two Surinamese chicken rotis and one lamb roti, both came with green beans and potatoes. One thing I did notice, was that the food was warmed in the microwave, which turned me off initially but after trying it. I was surprised, will update if there is any side effects.

Polite staff and good food, i order here every month.
