We came here for dinner with a group of six. While the restaurant wasn't very crowded when we arrived, the food wasn't brought out all at once, which was a shame. The wait for the first plates was minimal, but there was still almost 10 minutes between the first and last. I thought the food itself was well-cooked, but far too subdued in seasoning.

A nice place with "just good food," in my opinion. Great atmosphere. The only downside is that you're sitting at a table with a group, where some people get a discount on cocktails during ladies' night, while people with a "potentially" different chromosome (XY instead of XX) pay double for cocktails. That's called sexism. Outdated, in my opinion, and inexplicable in 2025!

A variety of cocktails are on the menu, but anything is possible at this restaurant. Hospitality is paramount!

I had such a great evening at Ladies' Night!!! Fantastic concept! I go to Royal often, and besides the fact that the food is ALWAYS amazing, I think Ladies' Night is AMAZING! I had a lovely time on the terrace with my girlfriend, and the lovely lady got half price. Very gallant and inviting! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Made a reservation for Friday evening. It was our first time. We had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and fast. The food was delicious and well-prepared. The steaming nitrogen was a special touch. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.

The steakhouse offers a solid dining experience with high-quality cuts cooked to perfection and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it a top choice for steak lovers. However, the service could use improvement—we had to remind the staff multiple times about our orders and additional requests. While the servers were friendly, the delays and lack of attentiveness slightly detracted from the overall experience. With better coordination and responsiveness, this place has the potential to be truly exceptional.

We came to eat in the heat. Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken so it was very sweaty inside. Later a large fan was turned on upon request, which helped a little. Despite the heat, staff rarely came by for extra drinks or compensation. Furthermore friendly staff and good meat for a good price!

Good food fair prices with friendly service. Salmon with asparagus was tasty. Surf and turf was delicious.

Delicious food!! For meat lovers a real must. We ordered the dish for 2 people. Top service and a very friendly chef. The fresh homemade chocolate cake made the experience complete! We will definitely come back!

Despite living in Sittard for a long time, strangely enough I have not eaten here yet. I was quite surprised how good the food was. And the service was also good and friendly. I will definitely come here more often now.

Had dinner here on the terrace on Thursday, May 1. It was striking that all the terraces of other restaurants/cafes were full and lively except here. I looked at the menu on the internet in advance and actually picked out something that seemed tasty. When we received the dinner menu, it turned out to be different and had fewer dishes, including the dish that caught our eye. When I asked, they had switched to this card yesterday, a pity that it had not been adjusted on the internet. Still picked something different. Surf and turf was it for me. I had to order fries as well. When serving, the dishes did not arrive at the same time even though there were not many people on the terrace. The surf and turf turned out to be a disappointment. Beef was tender, I give them that, but it was served together with two prawns (unpeeled) in a deep plate full of sauce (soup). The sauce was tasteless and the prawns added nothing to the dish. When I indicated that I did not understand the concept, I was told that it was based on Gucci and that you had to dip the meat in the sauce. Unfortunately, soup doesn't stick to meat, so it wasn't of much use to me. No idea what that concept is but probably price related. For what I got it was too expensive. Maybe that's why the other terraces were full and this one wasn't.

Super attentive staff, great wines and above all great food at comparatively affordable prices. We would be happy to come back on our next Sittard stay.

Had dinner here with 4 people on Valentine's Day. Very nice with decoration for Valentine's Day. The food was delicious, all 4 of us ordered the Flank plank. Very well cooked and deliciously tender meat, the side dishes were also great. The Service was very cordial. Definitely worth repeating. Thanks for the nice evening! You get a big 10 from us!

Went for dinner quite late, we were the only ones in the shop in the winter, but the service was very good and friendly. I ate homemade schnitzel and it was delicious! The onion soup was also above average. Recommended! Ate here again the next day... Now a tenderloin (they specialize in meat from the charcoal grill) and that was also sublime. Meat is pricey, like everywhere, but of excellent quality. Still highly recommended!

Went today, the menu showed a price of 19.50 for the pasta we ordered, then when we paid, the receipt stated that it cost 23.95. When we asked about this, we were told that 19.50 is the price if you order the pasta during lunch hours because the portion is smaller, I have already been there 4 times today (each time in the evening) and always paid 19.50 for the pasta. It would be useful if the menu stated that you pay more than 19.50 in the evening... because the menu only stated 19.50 and nothing about a different price in the evening. The food and service were okay. I just received an answer stating that this was somewhere on the menu, but I didn't see this anywhere, just looked at the menu on the site and didn't see it anywhere. I wonder where it is supposedly so clear when it only says 19.50.. Also a bit disrespectful to add that the menu is not in Polish, because we read and speak Dutch very well (which I think is also clear, since I am typing this review in Dutch, but okay)

A fantastic place where you are really treated as a guest. Rachelle in particular serves you in an extremely friendly and courteous manner. The food is super good. A tender tenderloin, perfectly cooked with delicious garnish, is not to be missed. The dessert was also not to be missed. A delicious mandarin cheese cake was excellent. My partner had a delicious Dame Blanche with delicious chocolate and of course lots of whipped cream. The ending was a nice cup of coffee with…. A shot of limoncello! So…. We will definitely come back! There are even more goodies on the menu. And... a nice atmosphere and you will receive pleasant service.

First time eating here. This time men's night with my son. We had the Flank Steak (medium) for 2 people. This was really excellently prepared. Keep it up. We will definitely come back, but with the wife and daughter (who were disappointed that they were not there). Until next time.

Truly one of the tastiest steaks I have ever eaten. Nice staff, we just don't like high tables with high chairs. Cocktails are delicious, just 1 strange point. There was a bottle of chlorine (!) among the syrups. Indicate that we find this very strange and dangerous, but the response was very laconic, the bottle is still there.

Good Carpaccio, Wagyu beef, very tasty. Cocktails good too. Wine also good. The service was very friendly.

We have been living in Sittard for some time now and we try a different restaurant in “our city” every time. We had not been to Royal yet, but what a great evening we had. The service is extremely friendly, knows how to provide good information about the menu and the method of preparation of the meat and the food was a true taste sensation from starter to dessert! Highly recommended! And a tip: When choosing a nice, cozy restaurant or terrace, do not always choose the busiest but the best quality!

Delicious food, highly recommended for steaks! We had a tbone steak, which was not yet on the menu so we had to ask for it. The meat was very tender, really top quality. Service often asked if everything was to our liking and if we wanted to order anything. We will definitely come back here again!

Spareribs et menu enfant nuggets ok On ne recommande pas leur Entrecôte à 29€ dont ils ne maîtrisent pas la cuisson. Nous avons demandé bleu, on nous les a ramenées bien cuites...le 2e essai était guère mieux et surtout la qualité de la viande n'était pas au rdv. Beaucoup de fils, de gras, viande pas tendre. Bref, nous avons une autre définition d'un Royal Steakhouse! Dommage In english: as i do not have the option to reply to the restaurant's comment below, i am writing it here in English. Kindly note that we did express our dissatisfaction the whole dinner starting with the fact that rare is Not well done. Kids received their plates but ours lasted some time until we got it again. We did not eat together. We also gave the same comment to the young Guy who picked up our plates. We clearly said it was not as expected, and he replied sorry. And there was a second Guy who admitted the error as well (we turned the flashlight on to show the well done meat instead of rare). We are meatlovers so we know what to expect. If your clients abandonned the entrecôte as you said, then might be worth to remove it from the menu then? If the communication is not done between the staff members, clients should not be blamed for this. We did not have the energy to repeat things a 3rd time when we paid, sorry for that! We usuelly clearly mention our satisfaction or not during our stay as we believe that positive but also negative comment should help to improve things. We do not smile in front of you and blame you on the net afterwards. This is clearly not our way of functioning.

Very quiet for a Sunday, but that was chill. Nice music. Had a delicious rib eye steak, perfect fries and the cocktails are delicious. The food came quite quickly and was worth the money. Friendly service. Definitely worth repeating.

Went to Royal for Christmas dinner today. It was a great Christmas dinner and great service! Thank you!

Went on a Thursday evening with business group. It was deserted, the only one in the shop, the rest around it was more crowded. Plank Royal at the beginning was tasty but not enough to really share. Better to add it for 2 people. Main dishes, Spareribs were very tender! Meat almost fell off the bone. The flank steak of 800gr. It was easy to do, but you had to cut it yourself properly. Prime rib was very good and tender. Beer selection Mediocre, lacked stronger beers. Other than that we were very well served. I was told by the staff that the last round was at 10:00 PM, but no one else was there to fully understand me. Spent 320 euros for 5 people.

Delicious food and the service was friendly. The prices are on the high side but the food was worth it. You do indeed have to wait a while for the food, but then you get something. With good company this is not a problem at all and the main course was definitely worth the wait. The onion soup and steak and burgers were all top notch and perfectly prepared. Highly recommended and we will definitely go back.

Always a pleasant atmosphere and a delicious flank steak. The heated seat cushions are also wonderfully pleasant on the heated terrace. Royal steakhouse is highly recommended, also for a delicious lunch.

Saturday August 19. What a wonderful evening! After our previous disappointing experience and the positive, hospitable response from the owner, we now had a delicious meal. To introduce us to the standard quality of Royal, a second chance by invitation. The service was friendly, alert and attentive to all guests on the busy terrace. The dishes served were prepared with care and tasted delicious. Price and quality were in balance and a dinner worth repeating. Highly recommended for a nice piece of meat. ============ Thursday August 10. After a friendly welcome, we had to wait 15 minutes for the ordered wine and water. Before the ordered main course; tenderloin and lamb, both served medium, we were more than 1 hour further. Both dishes were not medium rare but well done. Waiting times are very long and the attention from the staff is minimal. Tables are not cleared or are only cleared after a long time. Attention to guests is limited with very mediocre service. No proactive attitude or apology after reporting this complaint. The green salad ordered consisted of discolored wet lettuce and tomatoes. Instead of mayonnaise, a truffle mayonnaise was served. Poor service with insufficient attention to guests and mediocre quality. Definitely not a good price-quality ratio. Not recommended.

Ate here at the invitation of a good friend, it was striking that De Buren was, literally, full. But only 1 table was occupied here, the new owner also has a restaurant in Geleen, where the food was good. But our visit was a big disappointment, my pricey steak was not medium but almost done. Immediately indicated and a new one was made, but the evening is already ruined. My girlfriend had just finished when my food arrived. I had already eaten half of the fries because I was hungry. But no new fries with the steak, just to be sure, the steak was cut into pieces. And he thought he would use up his sea salt for the taste. I quite like salt, but now there was a pile of it. I didn't feel like complaining anymore, it's clear that I won't be coming back in any case. My girlfriend's salmon was delicious, but both plates were presented in a very boring way.

Onion soup was not tasty. The croquettes delicious, oyster mushrooms also very tasty. Salmon was very tasty! Beef tenderloin and lamb carré were very good. Spare ribs very tender. Satay had a lot of cashew nuts, weak satay sauce and little meat. The fresh salad was not exciting. Couple of tomatoes and lettuce leaves. The service was very unfortunate. We had to wait a very long time between dishes. After our first drink had been taken, no one came to ask if we wanted anything else, after an hour of asking ourselves, we had to pay a lot of attention to get a drink. We waited over 2 hours for the main course. Location is very beautiful! Staff friendly, but not attentive. Recommend it, but only if you have the time!

Fantastic food and great environment. I sat outside for lunch with the sandwich and nachos. Rich bread and well-seasoned nachos with delicious quacamole.

Spent a weekend in Sittard and had dinner here. Ordered tenderloin with fresh salad, fries and pepper sauce. It's strange (for Belgians anyway) that sweet potato puree is always served with it. But wasn't bad. Steak itself was great, pepper sauce was very tasty. The béarnaise sauce was less so. Nice and friendly service. Recommended.

The sweet mashed potatoe was beyond amazing. Next time i will order a extra plate for just the sweet potatoe cause what u get is not enough. After paying the bill the waiter told me that is possible. Great place btw!

Tasty cocktails, tightly arranged terrace

The taste was nice, but there were some hard pieces in the entrecote. But our dog really enjoyed that! And the baked potato was a bit hard in the core. The flavors are definitely delicious!!

After a long walk in warm weather, we ate here on the terrace. Nice friendly service. What we ordered was quickly on the table: I had a delicious rare tenderloin that was really rare and very tasty. Delicious truffle sauce and the sweet potato puree, fries and salad were also good. Dessert consisted of lava cake with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, super delicious. The place inside looks neat and attractive, clean toilets with wonderfully smelling hand soap. You can look into the kitchen and see how everything is prepared and how clean it is. Unfortunately I don't live nearby and that is why I won't be back anytime soon. If that had been the case, I would have known that this business would have a new regular customer!

Unfortunately food was not worth the money. The club sandwich had almost nothing in it. Lots of mayonnaise and unfortunately only 1 slice of chicken between the sandwich, a slice of tomato and a little cheese, there was nothing more. 13.50 was not worth it at all. Unfortunately, I also felt quite nauseous afterwards. Shame
