Rudy's in Wijk 00 Schaesberg

All praise goes to the friendly young man serving. But the girls working there now (during the summer holidays), hopefully only temporarily, are truly awful. They're not friendly, but rather stiff and rude. Also, the table right next to the bar is where the most unfriendly young people are. For us, that's a reason not to come back for dinner for a while.

Very lovely place and lovely staff. Food is very nice and drinks good price.

The quality has decreased in recent years. Tried again recently, but the price/quality ratio is bad these days.

Het was niet druk, we mochten een tafeltje uitzoeken en de bediening zou zo bij ons komen. Helaas toch echt 30 min moeten wachten voordat er ook maar echt iemand naar ons toe kwam. Mijn man stond op om te willen vragen of er nog iemand kwam. Toen mijn man op stond werd er direct geroepen dat er iemand aan kwam. Eenmaal het eten was het oké maar niet bijzonder. Mijn carpaccio was lauw en bevatte donkere vlekken. Deze ook dan laten liggen. Ook niet vragen of we nog voorzien waren van drinken. Zelf moesten we weer iemand proberen te roepen. aan het einde van het diner, zou mijn man nog een ijsje krijgen (van het menu). Ook daar moesten we zelf om vragen. Oh ja waren ze vergeten.. het was niet eens druk… 🫣 Je kunt uiteraard je dag niet hebben, maar je kunt wel de dag maken van je klanten zodat ze misschien nog een keer terug komen. Kortom niet een al te beste ervaring!

Food was fine, a bit expensive, but it's doable. Restaurant has a nice interior. Service was not good. I ordered something from the menu, which didn't state a certain ingredient being on it. When I asked if there was anything they could do, they said no. I had to pick it out myself. It is really a shame, before this experience I would gladly come here weekly. I would suggest being more clear on the menu what ingredients are in what dish, and what other things are in extra additions to fries or nachos. (Such as something additional coming with the pulled pork addition to nachos)

Their burgers are delicious, you need to mention the fries separately. I wouldn't recommend the one with cheddar cheese. Service is a little slow but worth the wait. :)

A place that tastes like nothing, a cold and detached environment, the food is nothing special, because there is nothing prepared, a 13 year old boy can do the same. At those prices you would think there was a real chef in the kitchen

The atmosphere has certainly improved lately 😃. The food is excellent and that also applies to the snacks 😀. It's nice that there are outdoor terraces.

Picked up food there for the first time today. Well, very honest!! I will never go there again. Lost a lot of money and not really tasty. And certain things are really too expensive for what you get. Unfortunately, more food went into the trash as it was eaten.

Ordered a sandwich for my grandson. It was actually just delicious. We sat inside because it was so hot outside. Then you notice a few things: the table was not clean, the beer mats were really dirty and needed to be replaced and it actually looked like they had been closed for a long time and still had to clean up, polish and start up. It was messy and unpleasant. But what struck me most was that there is an elevator where they get the food, which is then prepared upstairs or downstairs, but that next to your sandwich when the door opens, there is a soft drink crate with empty bottles in that elevator. I think it's really dirty. You really have to keep this separate. Anyone who knows what is on such a crate should not think about it coming into contact with the freshly prepared food, too bad! Read in the response that not everyone can handle criticism. Maybe read up on the HACCP a little more. A dirty crate of empty bottles should not be in an elevator next to a fresh sandwich. But everyone is allowed to have their own opinion and that sometimes hits hard. Hygiene has nothing to do with Michelin stars, it must be good in every catering business. Very unprofessional response.

We literally put the best of the best into our products – from carefully selected ingredients to pure craftsmanship. If you expect top quality to be priced at fast food levels, you clearly have a long way to go in understanding what good food actually is. My sandwich was dry. Cucumber was not crispy. Service could be faster

Wonderful place! Don't be put off by some reviews. Rudy's is a nice American diner with a cozy atmosphere and super friendly, helpful service. We were lucky to get a cozy booth (with bench). I ordered the Dinner Plank with a mini burger, pulled pork and deliciously tender spare ribs. Exquisite! There was nothing dry about that! And it came with a super tasty small salad. For dessert we ordered a "Freakshake". Wow! Never seen anything like it! My daughter also wanted to taste this and ordered another glass of drink. The waitress, very thoughtfully, advised us to hold off on drinking this for a while, because the shake was 'quite intense' and my daughter would not be able to finish it. That's what I call thinking along! The brownie and donut that were served on top of the shake were then allowed to take home in a 'doggy bag'. I would love to go back there again!

Ate with 3. Service was friendly but very inexperienced. No attention to detail. Pleasing but not listening. Wanting to clear the table too quickly. Had to ask for everything twice. The food was okay but nothing more.

Great as always I usually choose the Rudys dinner board here, but this time I opted for the Rudys special, a delicious hamburger made of 100% beef with bacon and cheddar cheese, etc. My husband always gets the sweet spareribs...also highly recommended.

Top zoals altijd Meestal pak ik hier de Rudys dinerplank , maar deze keer koos ik voor de Rudys special , een heerlijke hamburger van 100% rundvlees met bacon en cheddarkaas e.d Mijn man pakt altijd de zoete spareribs...ook een aanrader.

Delicious food for a good price.

Went here for lunch with Pinkpop last week. I had a bouncer and my girlfriend had fries with pickled meat. She had never had it before and it seemed tasty. There was nothing wrong with it but it wasn't to her taste so she left it. When I went to pay we didn't have to pay for the pickled meat! Very friendly service and cozy tent. Definitely recommended.

Great staff who are very helpful and very friendly. We enjoyed a delicious dinner platter that Amber and Chantal put together.

Always go for a walk with former colleagues on Wednesdays and then have a cup of coffee! The waitress already knows exactly what we want to drink when we come in!!

They have a very US cafeteria-style décor, nice and simple. It's not a fancy restaurant, but perfect to go with friends or your partner. They have good meals, but we go especially for their burgers. One of the best in the whole Limburg area. I just wish they would make the meat themselves to make it tenderer and softer to the bite. It's something that restaurants in the US and Spain have, that the meat is prepared on the spot and they do it in such a way that it melts in your mouth. The price is more than decent, especially if you think that with just the burger here you will be completely satisfied, you don't even need the fries, although I recommend them because they make them very well.

We found this “cafe” by chance. Very friendly staff, food very good. We immediately agreed that we would use this “cafe” as our regular cafe if we lived here.

Cant say enough good things about this place! The burgers were SO DELICIOUS. Best in The Netherlands that we have had (and we have tried many!). Mini burger for our son was really cute. The owners provide such a warm atmosphere it’s really authentic and that “homey” feel which is really a special thing to find these days. Thank you so much 😊

Wir[ Familie] waren zum ersten mal hier und ich muss sagen , das war nicht das leste mal. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und die Fritten sind wirklich sehr sehr lecker. Das Lokal ist ein wenig im Amerikanischen Stil gehalten. Wir können diese Lokal gerne weiterempfehlen.

Order geplaatst 30.09.2023. De pulled pork nacho’s waren heel goed, maar de Alabama kip was echt heel slecht, gelijk weggegooid omdat het rauw was (een gerecht van 22.50€). De Quesadilla’s waren okay. De chili con carne smaakte goed, maar het gerecht is wel te duur voor wat je krijgt (geleverd met handjevol nacho chips, had best wat meer gekund voor 21.50€) Bezorging was prima op tijd en de vrouw was vriendelijk. Helaas de laatste keer voor ons.

Lokal sieht von außen vielversprechend aus und das Interior ist passend für einen American Diner. Passt auf jeden Fall und man fühlt sich wohl. Leider sind die veganen Burger für mich aber zu einfallslos und geschmacklich eher langweilig. Preislich wäre es OK, wenn geschmacklich halt gut. Für Burger, Fries, Oion Rings, Vanilleshake und Carrot Cake + Wasser so um die 60€+ da gelassen. Das war es mir allerdings nicht wert.

Excellent food, great service. Though allergens are not marked in the menu, the staff took the issue very seriously and made an effort to double-check everything we ordered.

Heerlijk gegeten daar met mijn gezin.

Vriendelijk personeel en toffe ingerichte eettent. Leuk concept ook! Wachttijd voor eten +- 30-40min maar dat is prima als je met een groep bent. Grote porties en mooi geserveerd. Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent ✅

Tijdens Pinkpop weekend, elke dag er gegeten. Het smaakte heerlijk en het was goed belegd en de service en gastvrijheid was heel erg fijn en prettig.

Lecker gegessen und dem Treiben rund um Ruddy's zugeschaut.

Nette freundlich Bedienung, Speisen und Getränke lecker und preislich völlig in Ordnung.

Ben super blij met Rudy's is altijd gezellig en buiten op terras kun je ook leuk zitten.

Nog maar eens geprobeerd. Koffie was lekker en vlot geserveerd. Ook hebben wij wat van het menu besteld en de burgers waren erg lekker. Oude review: Was niet druk en toch bijna 45min moeten wachten voordat ik mijn kopje koffie had.

Als je de menukaart bekijkt denk je "duur", vervolgens moet je lang wachten, maar dan blijkt waarom: de sandwiches zijn superlekkere kunstwerken, dat kost tijd. Echt de moeite waard. Goede milkshakes.

Leuk voor de snelle hap. Sfeer is wel in orde in de Amerikaanse stijl. Helaas was ik niet zo te spreken over de spareribs maar mijn tafelgenoten waren wel tevreden over de andere gerechten.

Das Ambiente war schön,, der Service aufmerksam und das Essen war top. Wenn die Hot spareribs, scharf gewesen wären, volle Sterne. Das resto ist auch sehr sauber.

Preis-Leistung stimmt absolut. Nettes Team das sich viel Mühe gibt mit leckerem Essen. Auch wenn man nicht gut oder gar nicht Niederländisch sprechen kann, kann das Servicepersonal sehr gut deutsch. Absolut empfehlenswert, egal ob für Touristen oder einheimische.

Wij kunnen niet meer zonder Rudy's. Heerlijk eten, goede service, leuk personeel en gevarieerde kaart. Wij zijn fan!

Hier ga ik vaak naar toe. De mensen die daar werken zijn zeer vriendelijk, en het is zeer sfeervol. Niet alleen dat, maar hier kan je Amerikaanse gerechten eten (het is ook heel lekker) Je kunt hier gezellig lunchen, dineren of gewoon iets drinken. Zeker herhaalbaar en een echte aanrader.

Goede bediening vriendelijke sfeer goed eten en drinken dit is echt een heerlijke plek om te chillen en te genieten van de rustige omgeving
