The food was really bad, really weak. I wanted to try everything from the few options available, all of which were bad, and I deeply regretted it. The service was terrible. I'm always happy to visit Brazilian places, but she managed to really let me down. Experiencing prejudice from Brazilians abroad is a real pain... when she served Dutch people, she was much nicer. The price was expensive for the quality of the food. I don't recommend it and will never return.

I went there, but it was mid-afternoon, around 3 p.m., and everything was already closing. I planned to sit down and eat, but the place is very small. The counter had some snacks and snacks, but nothing for lunch. I won't be back because I didn't like the atmosphere.

The food here is really great and fresh, tasty and prepared with care. You can taste that there is love in the kitchen. The owner is incredibly friendly and hospitable; you immediately feel welcome. What I also particularly appreciate is the gesture of the owner to hang up a Palestinian flag as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinians. Respect for that attitude and the courage to stand up for justice. A place with good food and a conscience, I will definitely come back here!

Lots of choice: vegetarian, fish and the chicken was halal. Ordered 3 things, all three delicious. I liked the lasagna melanzana better than at the Italian. There was nice atmospheric music playing at a pleasant volume. It was also cozy and nicely decorated. The owner was very friendly and answered all my questions. Will definitely eat there again. Recommended!

I loved the place, and the homemade food is very good, it satisfied that longing I had for a French meal. I had a delicious rice dish with pot roast, everything very simple. Don't go expecting a restaurant or hotel service. Maria is a lovely lady who basically runs the business to pass the time, almost like a hobby. However, she has no patience for lazy and clueless people, so it's like going to eat at your grandmother's house, it's her time. If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend it. However, the atmosphere is super nice. I can't comment on the pies, etc., but the brigadeiro was delicious. In short: I loved it and will definitely be back often. You've gained a new customer! Oh, and I missed the beans, which is why I didn't give the food 5 stars, but the focus is more on a snack bar than on actual food.

I’ve never received such a rude treatment. When I arrived the attendant, who apparently was Maria, was reading newspaper and she continued like that. I said “Hi” and asked if the restaurant was open, because there were no people at the place and she said “the door is open, so…”. My husband tried to keep de conversation while I was looking at the few options displayed. He started to speak in Portuguese to show that we were also Brazilians, but she basically wasn’t interested in serving us. The service was so unpleasant that we decided to leave and to chose another place. Maybe she was having a bad day, even so I don’t recommend anyone to take the risk of being mistreated, specially for who is looking for a familiar food abroad.

A place where you can try real Brazilian specialties, María is so hospitable and nice and the quality is very tasty! Highly recommended!

I truly don't understand why people think the service is bad. It's a homemade + home based concept and not some sort of fancy thing. She is often very busy but the food is super delicious and when she has time she always takes the energy to chat with me. The food is friendly priced and people want a restaurant experience in a more take away place, that's just asking a mechanic to be your psych.

Firstly, I would like to highlight the terrible service that my husband and I received at this place. We were super happy to have found a place where we could have a snack and eat Brazilian things. However, when we entered the “establishment” we came across a very poorly organized place, dirty things and nothing pleasant. Terrible, terrible, terrible… I will never go back or recommend it to anyone. Maria, I believe that is your name. Seeing you, I think you are in your 50s. And I asked myself, with all this age and life experience, haven't you learned that EDUCATION is the key to being successful in life and being a happy person. I hope one day you learn how to treat people.

Delicious chocolate cake, perfect taste. The choice of savory pie was TOP. Mrs. Maria gave a good explanation of the typical Brazilian dishes. Keep it up. highly recommended

The extremely rude attendant, absurd!

On Google it says it's a restaurant, so I had just arrived in Amsterdam, with my daughter, we just kept our bags in the room, ordered an Uber and went there. We were hungry, and when we got there the attendant told me that it wasn't a restaurant but a snack bar, because there were only a few pieces of pie, fried chicken and other savory dishes, like drumsticks that tasted burnt. And one detail is that everything is heated in the microwave. I think they should update the information on Google for cafeteria. That way we know what to expect.

I don't recommend it, I called the establishment to order some things and the owner of the place was very rude, unfriendly, besides being ignorant, she hung up the phone on my boyfriend, and then hung up on me. And he even asked where I got the number (the phone number is on the website). I don't recommend it, terrible service.

Closed for holidays but on the internet it was listed as open and that they serve Brazilian food on site. The window/window says take away for Brazilian food. Just doubt...

The best place for a Brasilian taste here in Amsterdam, Maria is a wonderful person, really talkative, friendly and very approachable. Everything I tasted in her store was delicious! So I can say that she got two fixed customers! Coxinha is divine, those Quiches are very tasty and well balanced, also the chicken pie (Empadão), is the best. The Pão de queijo is very good and very tasty…. No more words to describe… Simply the best! Thank you Maria 😘

Bij Maria eet je Braziliaans. Ze maakt alles zelf met hulp van haar dochter. 6 dagen per week is ze open. Je kan eten meenemen, of in haar zaakje opeten. Ze doet dit al 23 jaar. Eet hier je cochina, de snack die je vast kent van je bezoek aan Brazilie. Maar Maria heeft veel meer, soep vd dag, desserts en diverse gehakt en kipgerechten. Ga een keer niet naar de Febo, maar snack een keer bij deze zaak. Het is een leuke ervaring om hier een keer te gaan zitten, met uiteraard een Guarana.

Achei o clima muito estranho depois que fiz uma pergunta em português. Me senti invisível esperando e observando a conversa e o atendimento 'prioritário' dos outros clientes que chegaram DEPOIS de mim. Pela comida também não acho que vale a pena.

Great Brazilian/Portuguese/Spanish food.

Entrei na Casa de Maria no meio da tarde, perdida nas ruas de Amsterdã. A própria dona me atendeu. Pedi uma coxinha, super leve, crocante e bem feita e um café simples. Comi com calma. Os clientes chegavam para encomendar comidinhas para levar para casa e batiam o maior papo ali. Bom atendimento e cortesia.

Het eten hier wordt met passie gemaakt, de eigenaresse is heel vriendelijk maar de kwaliteit van het eten komt wel wat te kort. Vrijwel alles komt uit de magnetron, en is dus vrij vet. Dat is niet erg maar dan moet de smaak wel top zijn, dat was het helaas niet. Zeker ook niet slecht, maar ook geen geweldige afspiegeling van de Braziliaanse keuken.

No estoy seguro si es un restaurante o un lugar para ir, pero de cualquier manera, la comida es maravillosa. Hay algunas plantas perennes en el menú (prueba la ensalada de alubias), y platos que cambian con las estaciones. Recién preparados. Como si es un restaurante o no: hay algunas mesas, pero no muchos.
