I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Turkish food. I had pilaf (rice) with etli nohut (a meal with lamb pieces and chickpeas), and it was delicious. The staff was also friendly, and the restrooms were clean.

The dinner was awful, overly salty and stale, the doner kebab had a sour smell, the food was stale. The dessert was stale and everything was terrible, I had an upset stomach. Yes, it used to be delicious, but now it's really bad, definitely don't go.

I was curious about the döner kebab after seeing it on Instagram ads. However, I was very disappointed. The döner kebab was quite dry, overcooked, lacked any oil, and unfortunately, had the consistency of a piece of string. I came all the way from Leiden just out of curiosity. I don't think I'll be back.

Today had a lunch mood for Turkish shoarma and became very disappointed not what I was expecting. Worse taste and smelling meat. very poor service when I received my platter with food I was waiting for bread this unbelievable, Garlic signature sauce was very poor in taste. The owner should take this very serious. Couple years ago I had my doner sandwich and it was amazing. Now I can't say anything just very very disappointed.

Greatest turkish restaurant in The Hague

The food here is fantastic, but some people just can't keep their mouths shut. I want him to remember that I know where he lives.

We're here for döner. This is a great time. We had döner with my family on a Sunday. The prices and portions were really good. However, there was a rather strong smell in the döner. I thought it was either from the day before, or it had been marinated too long, and the lamb fat used also had a very strong smell. I can't quite figure out why, but it felt quite heavy to me. I hope it was a one-time occurrence. I love Black Sea döner and always want to come back, but I'm not without fear that it will be the same again. The mixed meat with lamb is especially wonderful. It would be good if people were careful about that. I did smell a really strong smell, and I'm someone who eats everything with ease. Regards,

There were 13 of us bikers from Brussels and we were given a very warm welcome. We ate grilled food and it was delicious. Afterwards, we were offered a delicious tea. Go there with your eyes closed, you will be well looked after. If I am ever in The Hague again, I will gladly return.

Best in town! The döner kebab arrived so quickly that our eyes met… then we embarked on an emotional journey to my stomach. 🥙💘 The bread was so soft, the meat could write a poem. I poured the sauce and questioned life. The waiter was so cheerful that I found myself ordering the entire menu instead of saying, "I'll get ayran on top." Come here hungry, but even if you're full, you'll end up eating a full portion just to have a bite. Is it döner kebab? It's döner kebab… but in my heart! 😄❤️

Probably one of the best Turkish restaurants in The Hague, if not in the entire Netherlands. The kebab is incredibly fresh and flavorful—far above what most places offer. Service is fast and genuinely friendly, and the location right next to the Haagse Markt makes it very convenient. Prices are fair for the quality, though the portions could be a little bit bigger. Still, I’m really grateful this place exists. Definitely worth a visit!

This is my second time eating here. The food is incredibly delicious. Definitely try the rice pudding with walnuts it is amazing! Muhammet is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Döner is delicious, but extremely hard and oily. The service is top notch, but the interior of the place is very narrow and cramped.

Nice little cozy place, nice staff, respectful, helpful. I didn't have to wait long for my food after ordering. The children thought the food was good, my youngest daughter gave 800 stars. Unfortunately I can only give 5 stars here. The döner for meat lovers, this is THE place to be. Not too greasy, although this is normal of course. The children also really enjoyed LENTIL soup. We ate doner and Adana here with my family. Its doner is many times superior to other doner. Better than what I've eaten at many kebab places in Adana. It's a very warm environment. The homemade döner sandwich is cut in thick strips and is served best with homemade ayran. Please be aware that you run the risk that the döner is sold out, but you have nice charcoal grill options in case that happens

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I had visitors over and decided to order two lamb doner meals and a sandwich. The meat was clearly not fresh — it had the appearance and texture of leftovers from the previous day. The fat was congealed and frozen, making the entire dish look and taste disgusting. This is not only a serious quality control issue but also completely disrespectful to your customers, especially when we’re trusting you to serve fresh, safe food. Update: Thank you for the reply, but I was honestly disappointed by the tone and handling of my concern. I understand that fat solidifies over time — but the other meals we ordered at the same time were still warm and enjoyable, which suggests that there may have been an issue with how this particular dish was packed or prepared. I want to clarify that I called at 13:00 because that was the time my visitors had just left, and I was eager to hear an explanation right away. Unfortunately, the person on the phone insisted that “it’s impossible” and was dismissive, offering no real solution. I’ve been a regular customer for years and never had a reason to complain until now. This wasn’t just about cold food — it was the poor attitude and unwillingness to acknowledge a valid concern that made this experience so frustrating. I hope future complaints are met with a bit more respect and understanding.

Saray Restaurant is truly a hidden gem near the Hague Market! What makes this place unique is that they are open as early as 7am, which is super convenient if you want to eat something hot and delicious early. I got there early and enjoyed their delicious white bean soup (Kuru Fasulye) – fresh, well flavored and perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch. I also drank a few glasses of Turkish çay, which was wonderfully strong and fragrant as always. What struck me most was the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. When I went to pay, they wouldn't even charge for the tea - they said it was on the house. A really nice gesture and typical of Turkish hospitality. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely, ideal for a quiet breakfast or just to relax. Everything is halal and you can taste that the food is made with love. Whether you fancy a hot meal or a simple cup of tea, Saray is a nice place to go. I will definitely come back here more often when I am in the area. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Turkish food!

Tombik döner was very nice! The meat was excellent. It was sheep meat, and the taste was very authentic. We very much enjoyed it even without sauces. The cacık and acılı ezme were also top notch 👍 Would definitely recommend it. Their homemade ayran was also of good quality, without yogurt bits. Very well mixed. The employees were also very friendly. Overall, very pleased 👍

The appetizers—a small plate of yogurt-based salad and Ezme with fresh bread—were perfect and made us feel right at home. The staff were kind and attentive, and the owner, a friendly Azari gentleman, added a warm touch to the experience. Pleasant surprise! Coming from Lille, passing through The Hague, I discovered this restaurant by chance, I read the comments and I ventured there with my family. Wow! A journey of the senses, we are taken to Istanbul for a meal! Quality products and so tasty, we thought we were in Türkiye. Truly a great experience to recommend without hesitation! The staff is welcoming and responsive, the manager offered us dessert and tea 💚 I will save the address without hesitation!

Hello, I visited twice, both times it was a little late and I was late for doner. I ate grilled food upon recommendation and it was very delicious. The most important feature that caught my attention was that the people working here were very friendly and sincere. This is the place to be for delicious authentic Turkish dishes! We came especially for the Döner Kebab, but it was sold out due to overwhelming popularity. The charcoal dishes and in particular the Adana Kebab were very tasty. Service was smooth and friendly. Enjoyed it wonderfully! Next time we will arrive in time to taste the Döner. Ellerinize sağlık Update: I recently visited again and this time in time to taste the Döner. This was truly the best and tastiest Döner I have eaten in the Netherlands. Fresh, tender and not too seasoned or fatty but perfectly balanced. The owner is a real host and regularly walks around to ask if everything is to your liking and is also very friendly.
