Shell in Wijk 06 Harmelen

Early in the evening, no hot meatballs or croquettes to buy. It used to be different. To make matters worse, a minced meat sandwich straight from the fridge. Service going downhill at this station. Unfriendly cashier. Paying for this sandwich. 1st scan of the barcode, through the glass, didn't go right the first time because of the packaging paper; I pulled the paper taut for the 2nd scan attempt. What does she say curtly, 'OK, last time'. Uhhhh? To make matters worse, a minced meat sandwich. What a disgrace! €4.75 for a soggy bun with 4 very thin slices of minced meat. Exactly 1/3 of a meatball... Moreover, lots of fat in the minced meat, see photo. Sensation: ice cold and tasteless. Brrr. This station is passé.

Car electrically charged. Clean, nice and relaxing on benches or in the shop, which is clean with a snack shop and Starbucks, or just an ice cream.

1 euro for a toilet visit without toilet paper, without soap, and with a 10-minute wait.

Nice place, often busy. Many charging spots from both Shell and Fastnet. You can also get food and drinks there.

One star is too much. It's a huge parking lot, where hundreds of drivers stop every day, but in this heat there aren't even any showers. When asked about a shower, the employee simply replies, "No shower." If you don't want to make showers free, make them paid. But at least provide the bare minimum. Learn from France, where many parking lots understand that respect for drivers begins with basic amenities.

During our stop at the Shell on the A12 near Harmelen, we ate a burger that was surprisingly good. The taste was excellent, the bun fresh, and the meat perfectly prepared. For a motorway service station, this is highly recommended — much better than you often expect at locations like this. The service was friendly and the wait time short. In short: great quality for the road, and certainly a place we will undoubtedly stop at again.

The toilets are very dirty, something terrible.. Plus it is very crowded and you have to stand in line paying 1 euro.

More than enough staff on Sunday. But no one to help you with the checkout, not even twice. Only when you go look for an employee yourself and get one, and even then they indicate they are busy (walking back and forth).

Don't have a pair of gloves? Go to the gym now.

What a rotten station, they had nothing to eat.

The shop is okay, but you have to pay for the toilets, which is just terrible. What a mess: paper on, shit in, on, and around the bowl, and it stinks. Simply disgusting. And after reporting it, it took at least 10 minutes before any action was taken.

This Shell really takes the top prize for the dirtiest toilets. I don't mind paying for a toilet at all, but it has to be neat and clean! €1 is ridiculous for this. I stop there regularly, but it's just always dirty…

I stopped at this Shell station on the A12 in Harmelen at approximately 5:20 AM on February 14th, as I regularly do on my daily commute to Utrecht. I requested three packs of Terea Silver and was immediately met with an unnecessarily confrontational attitude. I fully understand and respect age verification laws (leaving aside I’m 44 yo) and had my Italian driving licence in my car. That was never the problem. What made the situation unacceptable was the way it was handled. Before addressing me properly in Dutch or English, the employee began speaking in Arabic while looking directly at me, seemingly assuming I would not understand. I have lived many years in the Middle East and I do, in fact, understand and speak Arabic. When I calmly explained in English that my ID was available and that I understand Dutch but do not yet speak it fluently, I was told to “stop babbling” and that I should leave if I did not have identification on me. The tone was dismissive, hostile and unnecessarily demeaning. Being spoken about in another language under the assumption that I would not understand, combined with the aggressive and patronising manner of communication, made the entire interaction feel discriminatory and, frankly, sexist. As someone who uses this route daily, this was shocking. The Netherlands values itself for professionalism, inclusivity and mutual respect. This experience did not reflect those values. Deeply disappointing.

If you're stuck here waiting for the ANWB, you get free drinks! When I said I was willing to pay for it, they said: "We always do that because it's already bad enough!" If that's not service, I don't know what is. Thank you.

Ample parking for trucks. Quiet on weekends. Toilets cost €1 (card payment only). Toilets are clean. You can fill up your water tank at dispenser number 8.

Quiet parking, stopped twice, quiet, you can park for 45 ku, but there is no shower, it's a shame, good luck to everyone.

It's rather lame that I scan my toilet receipt at the coffee machine, get a beep, pay, and ultimately find that my 50-cent discount hasn't been deducted. When I bring this up with the manager, he gives me a vague explanation about other QR codes working, but this one doesn't. "Yes, I know it's unclear," he says, but he doesn't think to do anything about it. No way to the next round as far as I'm concerned.

Got there yesterday around a quarter to 6. We wanted to eat something tonight. A pizza margeherita? They didn't have any more. Something like a burger? They didn't have any more either. There were also no warm rolls. According to the staff, carpaccio hadn't been removed. A meatball then? There was still one of those. But that party didn't happen either, because according to the woman behind the counter 'it was cold inside, to be honest.' In the end we had a few rolls with some fries. The staff was friendly though.

3x broken coffee machine (I think the staff wanted to close it at 7:00 PM) and paid toilet (€0.80) with 2x broken urinals (only 1 usable) and dirty floor/walls. At an A location like this you would really expect better from Shell.

There is parking for trucks. But the toilet does not work for cash or from a card! You are the worst!!! Shame on you! And no need to thank for the review! DO SOMETHING!!!

The worst petrol station ever. Toilets full of excrement, tourniquet didnt even work even if we paid so my husband had to go underneath. He was therefore insulted by an employee who behaved like a thug, and when I asked him to repeat what he said, he didn't have the courage to do so and another employee put himself between us like a bouncer😂 Astrid at starbucks was the sloppiest employee ever,with a dirty apron and looking dishevelled. i had to clean my cup as foam was leaking, she saw and just looked at me with this air of *I so don't care I hate my job.* what a hellhole.

No Shower for Truck drivers... Toilet must smell good.... Truck drivers just dont spend money in here only parking is good here nothing else.

You have to be careful here that you get enough change back. Was supposed to get €3.25 in change, but the bald man with the goatee behind the cash register thought that the 0.25 cents was his tip and only gave €3 back. I had already driven away before I knew it.

The toilets were always neat and clean, but lately the toilets have been broken and taped up and smeared throughout the toilet area.

Always super satisfied with this station, one of the better Shells in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, I already got a calzone for the second time that only had 1 slice of bacon on it, previously there were always 2. That's why unfortunately no fifth star, but I'll stick with four. Hopefully you will soon hire a less stingy investor, we pay enough, then I expect enough in return 😁

Very good help on Monday by a number of attentive employees. With my sleepy head I had reached the wrong side of the fuel card and was professionally and kindly helped to correct this. Very nice service! Thanks!

We ordered 2 fries at the shell cafe. Were helped well at first. Then other customers came and the lady started helping those customers, which is normal anyway. What is not normal is that I receive 1 fries from another lady who does not first ask what the order is and then divide the fries into 2 containers with her bare hands. She just came from behind and I don't think this is appetizing or acceptable. And the fact that I suddenly got a lot less fries because she only divided the container into two, so the container of fries was not even filled. In short, worthless. At the very least, wear gloves if you are going to touch food intended for customers.

Was here late at night with car trouble. Received exceptionally friendly help. Received a coin for the coffee machine and was helped with calling the ANWB, including a receipt with the correct address. Many thanks for this special service.

Для Голландии твёрдые 4 звезды. Паркинг большой. Воду можно набрать на колонке номер 8, не питьевая (висит табличка). Туалет маленький, но порядок поддерживается - оплата картой 0.80€. Персонал приветливый и приятный. Душа нет, стирал. машин естественно тоже нет.
