I was travelling with FlixBus, and our driver made a pit stop here at Shell Café because the traffic was really bad. It was already around 12:45 PM, so perfect timing for lunch. As a vegetarian, finding decent vegetarian food while travelling can sometimes be a challenge. I was happy to find a couple of options here. The place was clean, and the washroom was quite spacious. The toilet costs €1, but you get a €0.50 coupon back. I tried two toasties: Focaccia Hummus and Focaccia Avocado, both €6.75 each. Unfortunately, both were quite bland, although I preferred the avocado one. That said, it’s a nice place to take a break. It was quiet, cozy, and had a good atmosphere to relax and chill for a while. The food could definitely use more flavour, but overall, it’s a convenient stop when you’re travelling.

The station is on the Dutch side. Full range of fuels, including AdBlue. Electric car charger nearby. Behind the station is a large parking lot for cars and trucks. Inside the station is a large shop and a small restaurant. Fuel prices are high! Friendly and efficient service.

Friends, acquaintances, colleagues, good day to all. 🤝 I present to you a typical parking lot on the border of Belgium 🇧🇪 and the Netherlands 🇳🇱. I'll give you my personal opinion: a nice, quiet, calm, small, well-lit, and almost always full parking lot with amenities. At the Shell gas station - there's free Wi-Fi. The toilet 🚾 costs €0.50, the shower 🚿 costs €3, but for some reason the shower never works. (It feels like they're in cahoots with the Turks 🇹🇷). The shower is about 50 meters behind the Turkish gas station 🇹🇷; the shower 🚿 costs €5 and the toilet 🚾 costs €1. (Sometimes they charge €1 for the turnstile at the entrance to the shower and toilet. I personally didn't pay, just climbed over the turnstile.) Shower, key to key 🔑. You can also get a snack there, but it's very expensive. The toilet 🚾 and shower 🚿 are clean. In the lobby, both at the gas station and at the Turkish 🇹🇷, there's a comfortable rest room where you can not only have a snack but also just sit and relax. Overall, everything is exceptionally clean, tidy, and pleasant, but expensive. I recommend it to anyone who wants to stop. You can get water at the Shell gas station entrance on the right-hand side of the pole, opposite Adblue, on the pole below 👇. But you need pliers or a small wrench to open the water tap, as it's broken. Lidl store, 5.4 km away, on foot, through the underpass to the other side of the road. A great station for engineers. They cut trailers however they like, and no one bothers them.

It's hot, and like most Shells, there's NO valve on the water faucet. I don't understand why Shell has this problem. We're not in Africa, after all, where water is scarce.

Oh, this parking lot is a breeding ground for rats. As soon as it gets dark, they run around the parking lot. Which means they spread infection and disease. Phew. Is it possible that no one pays attention to this?

Jelle knows what customer friendliness and service are all about! The coffee machine wasn't working (due to cleaning), but he still managed to get me a cup of coffee using the barista machine. Now that's service, thanks Jelle!!!

The worst parking lot. Not having a tap to get water from? Really a joke. When I asked at the peco, they said they have it, but it doesn't work. I don't recommend staying here on the weekend. I didn't ask about showers, but I don't have high expectations at all if they don't even have a tap to get water from. Very crowded parking lot, construction work everywhere, disaster, zero conditions, zero respect for drivers.

Parking lot lkw. They often drain fuel and cut tarps. But unfortunately, this is everywhere in the Netherlands; it's become that way. The gas station toilets are paid and dirty. The shower has been broken for years. Actually, it's not common for the Netherlands to have showers on the motorway; it's the only country in Europe where showers are relegated to the Stone Age.

The parking lot is spacious and well-lit. The shower at the gas station is out of service; the toilet is a paid service. At the checkout, they say "SHOWER KAPUTT." And judging by the reviews, they say that all the time. There's a shower at the TOKCEL cafe. There's also a restroom there. The toilet is 1 euro. The shower is 5 euros. There are hooks for hanging clothes. The sink and mirror are separate from the stall. The water is hot, without any five-second buttons. There's a shop in the cafe. I can't comment on the food, as I haven't eaten there.

I really liked the parking, it's near McDonald's and the hostel has Wi-Fi. There's a Turkish kebab shop and a halal store right at the gas station. Showers and toilets are paid. It's hard to find a spot at night after 7:00 PM. The Turkish cafe closes at night, but the gas station is open 24 hours.

Even though is paid WC, they are always clean and in good condicion. Only 3 stars, because the shower isnt working for almost 4 months 🥲

There's a shower, but the woman at the pump says it's not working. There's no shower on the other side either. The only place that has one is at the kebab stand and it costs 5 euros. Information as of December 6, 2025: It's impossible to get water at this gas station; the faucet doesn't work. They don't serve water at the gas station itself, the restrooms are dirty, and the card doesn't always work. If you need to get water, you have to go to the opposite gas station via an underground passage. Parking is good, but dirty. Parking on Saturdays is problematic. Even early in the morning, almost all the spots are taken. Pros: a kebab shop with delicious shawarma, paid showers, and a small store inside.

There are a lot of rats. I've never seen so many rats. Company management, take action. You can't get to the trash can, it's swarming with rats, they're very big.

Decent parking, water, showers, a store, and a LIDL are all within an hour's walk. To avoid walking too far to get to the store, you can take the subway to the other side, walk along the road to the bridge, climb the stairs, and then follow Google Maps. I was looking for a device for my Iqos Iluma. Jelle, who was behind the counter, helped me immensely from start to finish. We need people like that in our society; they'd make us look a lot better.

€140 for gas and then pay one euro for a toilet littered with toilet paper and covered in poop. Staff are on their phones behind the counter. It's a shame I can't give half a star.

A well-equipped station with friendly staff. Toilets cost one euro, and you might get €0.80 back on selected products. So, if you pay one euro, you'd expect clean restrooms. Unfortunately, the men's and women's restrooms were exceptionally dirty.

I give 2 stars only for bathroom. If you ask the staff for shower they say it s not working but there is no sign indicating that. I get many truckers are gross but it s not fair to punish the others.

This station is some kind of festival of lies. Big signs with a shower and when you ask for a key the staff says there is none. Despite many people open only one cash register where a lady makes coffee and charges for fuel. Go to Poland and see what gas stations look like.

We have been coming to this gas station for a long time. When we go back to the Netherlands from Belgium at night, we are always welcomed very enthusiastically by the man and he is always friendly. I still want to thank this man because we always feel welcome. He is really worth gold 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
