We had a delicious pie and coffee for everyone, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was incredibly friendly. For 3 people: €26.75.

Delicious pie and coffee! Nicely decorated. It's a bit of a shame that there are all these fences separating the ice cream counter from the rest of the restaurant. The coffee arrived a bit later than the pie; perhaps it would be a good idea to serve it together. Very friendly, hardworking staff.

What a treat, an ice cream from Smaakmakerij Fer Botterweck! It is always a treat to stop here, especially on those sunny days. Yes, there is sometimes a line, and you sometimes have to be patient. But believe me, it is worth the wait! The flavors are always surprising and intense, you can really taste the quality and craftsmanship in every scoop. From classics to unique creations, everything is equally delicious. It has become a fixed ritual for me on nice days, and I look forward to it every time. An absolute must for anyone who loves really good ice cream!

We visit Judith, Fer and Jose every week for a cup of coffee/cappuccino and a piece of pie. They are always super nice and friendly. The dog is also warmly welcomed. Last week we were even treated because we were married for 40 years. So sweet and attentive. We hope to be able to visit Botterweck for a long time to come. You are a great team. Mijn man en ik zijn verzot op ijs dus toen we langs Ijsmakerij Botterweck liepen konden we de verleiding natuurlijk niet weerstaan. Het ijs was goed maar belachelijk duur. We betaalde voor een hoorntje met 2 bolletjes € 5 per ijsje. Het ijs was niet heel veel beter dan we ergens anders ambachtelijk gemaakt ijs zouden kopen, maar die wel goedkoper zijn. Voor ons niet voor herhaling vatbaar, dus volgende keer slaan we deze over.

And once you have finally made your choice, you will be presented and served by very friendly, hospitable and skilled staff. Not only in the service, but also in the kitchen. We had an ice cream here. Although the ice cream tasted fine, but not really natural, I thought the price of 2.5 per scoop was really on the expensive side. Tourist trap!

De Botterweck heeft gastvrijheid hoog in het vaandel staan. Goede kop koffie en heerlijke vlaai. Wij deelden een stuk vlaai en dat was geen probleem. Kreeg zelfs een extra bordje met bestek. Dat vind ik klasse. Bijzonder vriendelijke mensen daar.

Lovely people, good service, DELICIOUS FLAT! Had the cherry pie and the cream crumb and both were very tasty (cherry personal favorite). If I come to Valkenburg again, I will definitely stop here again :)

Hier hebben wij het afgelopen weekend èèn keer geluncht en twee keer koffie met vlaai genuttigd. Wat een lieve en zorgzame mensen zijn hier uw gastvrouwen en een heer. De koffie was erg lekker en warm en het stuk vlaai, twee maal zo groot als bij mij in een Veluws dorp. He lunch bestond uit Tosti 's, koffie en melk. Alle genuttigd producten van zeer hoge kwaliteit en erg lekker. Volgend jaar komen wij hier zeker weer terug.

Voor 2 ijsjes, ieder 2 bolletjes, 12 euro betalen is toch wel heel veel geld. Weet niet of ik hier ooit nog een ijsje haal!!

I saw that everyone on the street was eating ice cream, so there was a line. It seems to be a popular store. I needed a translator because the flavors weren't written in English, but I tried the house flavor here and it was delicious! The price wasn't very expensive either. However, the older clerk did not respond in English, so there was a delay in responding. However, there was no problem with the purchase because the young clerk responded. There is indoor seating, but most people who buy ice cream eat it outside on a nearby bench. Overall it was a good store.

Too bad, what was once a cozy family lunchroom before the flood disaster has now turned into a beautiful, but very cold place. Replaced the old menu with a snobbish menu thing. I describe it this way because I have gotten a little older. I have been a customer for over 50 years, I have even transferred money for the renovation and the owner does not even see you, despite approaching you. Once again a pity, gone onion soup, a special one regularly came from Rotterdam, gone tasty pancake, bouncer, etc. One fan with less family. Wish him the best of luck with his new target group. Went on holiday to Limburg, but not to Valkenburg for a long time. I knew that there was a shop that sold delicious cake with tea, so we went back today after a long time and the cake was delicious again with a nice refreshing glass of cola.

Having to pay €12 for 2 ice creams (2 scoops per person in a container) is very expensive....

We had a delicious ice cream here. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. When we ordered an ice cream coupe and when I asked if I could add another scoop of ice cream, they did so without a problem. They also have a good extensive menu. They made it a beautiful place after the flood!

Visited Botterweck, a charming café nestled in the heart of Valkenburg. Heeding local advice, we indulged in the regional specialty, Vlaai. We sampled two varieties: one with chocolate pasta and jam, and another with passion fruit and slagroom. Both were exquisite, striking a perfect balance of sweetness without being overly rich. Strategically located in Valkenburg's center, Botterweek is regarded as one of the finest cafés in the area. It’s the ideal place to unwind and savor the flavors of this picturesque city in the Netherlands. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Valkenburg.

De moeite waard om even in de rij te gaan staan. Heerlijk ijs, veel veel keuze . Je kan er ook dessert en taarten eten zag ik . Wij hielden het bij een ijsje en dit was meer dan geslaagd !

At Botterweck in Valkenburg I ate the original rice pie as bakeries made 30 years ago. Original and tasty with a thin foamy layer, it rises wonderfully creamy and not soggy. The crust is crispy so you can taste that it is freshly baked. Coffee is great! Nice and hot and it tastes like real coffee!

Love their pies especially Saint Christopher. It just makes you happy. Ladies at the counter have nice flaps. Don't miss it if you are in Valkenburg.

Unfortunately very narrow-minded when it comes to dealing with children. When our three-year-old beamed with joy and ordered the M&M ice cream because there were also M&Ms on display, she was very disappointed that not a single colorful nut made it onto her cone. The seller didn't take up the option of decorating an M&M on the ice cream. Decorations were also “banned” on the smartie-themed PawPatrol ice cream. There were no sprinkles either, so we had to leave the ice cream parlor with a crying child who ended up being reluctant to eat the ice cream. But hey! I think the child will never forget that and will never want to eat ice cream there again. By the way, neither do we. That wasn't nice at all!

We ate some great ice cream here. There are especially special flavors such as White Oreo or Raspberry Yoghurt.

Good ice cream and a wide choice. Despite the crowds, the service was prompt and smooth. Due to the large selection, you will need some time to choose your desired flavors.

Food was very tasty. First enjoyed the lunch and fast service. Then you can enjoy the delicious ice cream after a walk. Here you sit a little more quietly along the edge than in the middle of the main street, with a beautiful view of the church and the bridge over the channel.

Stopped here on Saturday lunchtime for a piece of cake and a drink. An absolute feast for the eyes and palate, the tea and cocoa also tasted great. Very friendly service too. We'll definitely stop by next time we visit Valkenburg, and today we'll take two pieces of cake home with us :).

A brewery where the amburgers are quite appetizing and of course the beer has a different flavor, I don't know if it's a suggestion because it's in Germany or if it's actually a reality. Quality price is not bad.

The place for a luxurious piece of pie, but you have to come in the morning, most of it is gone in the afternoon and you have little choice. We come here almost every year, nice to see that after so many years we still have the same friendly, hospitable ladies walking around who patiently explain to each customer which pieces of pie are left and what is in them.

De zaak is na de overstroming enorm opgeknapt wat zich uitstraalt in de juiste sfeer het gebak en eten plus bediening is top.

Best ice cream in Limburg! Everything is homemade and lots of different flavors. Our family favorites are Chocolate Pure, Strawberry, Mango, After Eight and Malaga. There was also a Cherry Yougurt that was awesome but not often. These are Limburg size scoop balls not "Holland" size. You'll understand what that means when you get your order. You can even special order your favorite flavor to eat at home. Be sure to order in advance.

Goede lunchroom. Lekker eten uit eigen bakkery en ijs uit eigen makerij. Zeker aanbevolen.

Tot nu toe de lekkerste vlaai met name de rijstevlaai is authentiek en romig. Zeker een aanrader als je in Limburg bent! Je kan zowel binnen als buiten zitten, mooie uitzicht in een bruisende straat!

Tot nu toe heb ik hier de lekkerste Cristoffel vlaai gegeten😊. En niet zo klein stukje ook,was een hele maaltijd .

Lekkerste ijs van Valkenburg. Wel druk, dus altijd beetje gehad gevoel om snel te kiezen want mensen achter je staan te dringen, personeel wil ook graag dat je beetje doorloopt en inschuift. Maar zeker erg lekker

Goede service. Je krijgt grote bollen ijs en het ijs is heel lekker. Hier is het echt genieten. De prijs per bol is 2euro dit maakt de prijs/kwaliteits verhouding uitstekend. Je kan ook andere ijs coupes bestellen op het terras of een vlaai. Voor de klagers dat ze met een hoorntje niet het terras bezet mogen houden tegenover het terras zijn genoeg plaatsten om te zitten....op het trapje of een bankje.

Though they have a lovely terrace looking at the old church in the town square, we chose to enjoy the retro aesthetics of the inside. The two ladies who waited on us greeted us with big smiles and kind voices as they explained the different pies that were available... we finally decided on the apricot, custard, and creme pie to go with our cappuccinos. If you enjoy baked goods, I highly recommend this establishment :)
