The food is very delicious and the staff are very kind. They helped me with all of my questions about their dutch food as well as their other unique foods. Everything tasted very fresh as well. The staff were fun to talk to about their preferences and recommendations. I accidentally forgot my backpack here and they kept it safe for me until I came back. Ha! The least I can say is, I highly recommend it.

Fantastic fries with vegan mayo!!! The bathrooms were spotless. A greasy place, but perfectly Dutch-style: clean and tidy. We'll be back.

€3.40 for a cheese soufflé? Isn't that a bit outrageous! €3.40 for a small portion of fries. And then they pull a face because I don't want to pay €3.50 for a cheese soufflé.

The food was bad. One wrong order received, and the meatball sandwich I ordered was tasteless. Also had to pay extra for the sauce on the sandwich. Fries were limp and not enough salt. Very dissatisfied. Very unfortunate

Fries as limp as my dick. And the wrong sauce was given. I ordered f*cking joppiesaus not sataysaus. My beef croquette was dry and tasteless, there was not a piece of beef in it. It is also way too expensive. Not recommended!

(2) Been here. Another young man was behind the counter. The truffle mayonnaise and Belgian mayonnaise were tasty last time so I chose them this time too. The fries were well-fried. Make sure you get one of the sauces separately, then you get more of it and really value for money. The fishmonger next door also has the cartons that you get the fries in. Keep up the good quality and service! ========== (1) Here I had fries with truffle mayonnaise and Belgian mayonnaise. The fries were well-fried and crispy. The Belgian mayonnaise was nice and sour and creamy. The truffle mayonnaise was a bit milder but tasty. The pistachio milkshake was freshly prepared. Pistachio essence is added to make it tasty. A polite young man who kept the snack bar running. It was not busy on a rainy day. The snack bar was very clean. Where you used to get snacks from the wall, you can now get a (warm) can of drink, candy or cookie from the wall. Pricey but was satisfied. Hopefully the quality doesn't drop.

If you are hungry, then this is the place for you!!!

Blandest food ive had in a long time. Real bland, even tons of salt didnt help. The owners attitude is also not very nice, not even coming up to you when you want to order. Big no. Coming from a turkish person btw.

I highly recommend it! Everything is clean and organized, and there are lots of local food options! Regional croquettes, very tasty potatoes, and other typical Dutch snacks!

The fries are okay, but the burgers are really worth it. They also sell soft ice cream with an old-fashioned gold chocolate dip. Nice atmosphere too

Very friendly staff working at the local establishment known as Snackbar Constantjin. We ate an indecent amount of deep fried Dutch delicacies, none of which are in the bible and whose names I dare not utter again lest I be stricken by the ire of Jehovah. I took a 3hr nap afterwards and feel freshly born, ready for yet another adventure …

My favorite snack bar. Fast service and a nice chat if possible, and the best vegetable croquettes in Amsterdam. Try it yourself!

Food here was 10/10, it was prepared freshly and tasted great. We had a chicken burger, cheese burger and fries with garlic sauce. They were all excellent, the burger had unique dressings and the garlic sauce was amazing. The owner was very welcoming and created a relaxing environment. Will definitely return again shortly

These are really tasty fries! There is not much choice in terms of snacks. I had a frikandel and bitterballen, but in my opinion the bitterballen were a bit less. They were a bit burnt. But definitely recommended.

Dit is echt een hele goede frietzaak. De man die ons hielp hield zich aan de richtlijnen van een top frierbakker! Hamburger was perfect! Alleen iets teveel kaas. Maarja, dat was immers mijn eigen keus. Mijn vrienden genoten van een kip burger, berenhap, frikandel speciaal en kroket. Allemaal gebakken op de manier hoe onze heer het bedoeld heeft. 10 out of 10

Lekker laat open, heerlijke frieten, alles met aandacht gebakken. Vriendelijke service!

Les frites sont bonnes, petit coup de cœur pour la sauce à la cacahuète. Les specialités semblent être faites maison. Le commerçant est très accueillant et de bons conseils pour les touristes que nous sommes.

Oprecht de allerlekkerste snackbar van heel amsterdam. Ik kom hier gelukkig al zo’n 10 jaar en raad aan elke Amsterdammer sindsdien deze snackbar aan. Allerliefste mensen en waar ik altijd voor terug zou komen is het broodje kalfskroket, wat ik nergens anders in de buurt heb zien komen qua smaak. Echt, ik hoop dat Constantijn nog 100 jaar mag bestaan!

not the best fries, not the best prices

Definitely one of my favorite snack bars! Variety of options, food is pretty tasty, friendly staff. The place is not so nice to dine in, however that is part of the snack bar experience.

Prima snackbar met vriendelijke mensen en gewoon goed eten. Niet al te gek geprijsd. Ik vind de prijsopbouw wel onlogisch. Een grote friet met frietsaus is 4,85, met pindasaus 5,80, en oorlog is dan 5,90. Zou prima zijn als je dan een dubbele hoeveelheid saus kreeg, maar dat is niet zo. Een mix van iets ‘goedkoops’ en iets ‘duurs’ zou er toch tussenin moeten zitten?

mijn inziens de meest schoonste snackbar in de buurt. niet alleen de pui is prachtig. heerlijk ouderwets amsterdams. hygiëne is een moetje voor mijn gezondheid, daarom kom ik hier graag. ik kom weleens laat van werk en dan rol ik uit de tram zo hopla naar binnen. :)
