Today was the first time I visited Apollo with my wife, my sister, and our little child. We ordered 3 portions of fries: 2 with sauce and 1 without, because my sister is very limited in what she likes due to her autism and basically only eats cheese-chili sauce with fries. Coincidentally, we had bought that sauce at Action that day and brought it with us. While we were quietly eating, we were approached from behind the counter in a loud and unfriendly manner and told that we were not allowed to use our own sauce. I understand that a restaurant is allowed to have house rules. But as far as I am concerned, such rules should be clear and made known in advance. I did not see anywhere that bringing your own sauce was prohibited. Moreover, we had simply ordered two sauces at Apollo; so it was absolutely not about saving money. What bothered me most was the way this was handled. This could have been explained simply and kindly at our table. Instead, we were addressed in an unprofessional manner, and the owner was subsequently called over, who, in my experience, reacted in the same unfriendly way. Due to her situation, my sister cannot simply eat just any sauce. If a cafeteria does not offer cheese-chili sauce and prohibits the use of its own sauce, in practice it means that she cannot sit there and eat normally with her family. Frankly, I find that very disappointing and unnecessary. For me, it is not about a bit of sauce, but about respect, understanding, and normal customer service. Hopefully, the owner will take this review not just as criticism, but as a serious point of attention. Good customer service means not only selling good food, but also dealing with customers in a respectful, clear, and professional manner. Based on this experience, we will unfortunately not be returning here.

I got food here today. I clearly told the waitress what I wanted. When they were preparing the hamburger buns, I saw they made a mistake. I had ordered one hamburger without sauce and greens, and the satay burgers with satay only, no greens. The owner prepared the buns, and when she heard that this wasn't allowed, her face looked like it was about to thunder. She said in a sarcastic tone that I just had to pay an extra 50 cents for the bun she had to throw away. With the satay buns, she plucked the lettuce off. With the regular hamburger bun, she did put one bun on the grill, but didn't even place the other bun on the grill; instead, she just slammed the hamburger right onto the other bun. I find it remarkable that if they make a mistake, the customer has to foot the bill. In the end, I didn't have to pay the 50 cents because I couldn't pay by card and I didn't have any cash. But if you pay over 44 euros for food and then make a fuss about a 50-cent bun, you completely miss the mark with me. They put cans of cold drinks in with the hot food, also ridiculous. I've been a regular customer for years where I liked getting fries, but you won't see me here again.
