The Food was really good, tasteful and also the service really appropriate. We ate "Seafood soup", "Bandeja Paisa" en "Churrasco" also some empanadas to start. We felt at home, with the food, music, and environment.

Super delicious, super recommended, 100% Colombian flavor 🇨🇴.

Ordered spaghetti al fruto de mar. There is little real seafood in it, and even not fresh. The mussels were not openable.

Great restaurant. We were helped very quickly by very friendly staff. The atmosphere was great and the food was really, really excellent. Definitely recommended! Even for people who are not yet familiar with the taste of South America, this is certainly a good restaurant with varied options.

The restaurant has been taken over from Italians where we had reserved via Social deal. The restaurant has been a Colombian restaurant for 3 months now and once inside we explained that we had paid for a 3 course dinner. Everything was resolved neatly even though they did not receive any money for it because it was taken by the Italians. Chapeau to the owner and the host. We left a nice tip and would like to congratulate them with this review and wish them good luck with the restaurant.

The food is very, very good, the portions are generous, and the price is fair; Overall, everything is very tasty. We ordered a tumba paisa, picado, sobrebarriga, shrimp rice, and empanadas, all absolutely delicious. Highly recommended if you like Colombian food. No Pizza here as shown in the pictures, this is a colombian restaurant. No vegetarian options. Nobody speaks english and we felt quite lost. Can not recommend the vegetarian plate😬

Authentic Colombian experience to the bone, food is amazing, fresh ingredients and prepared at spot. Started with Empanadas with Ají and then one shared Bandeja Paisa which was spot on with complimentary fresh made juices of Mango and Blackberry.

We were traveling and didn’t know that pretty much every restaurant in the Dennenweg is fully booked on a Saturday evening. We went in here and found out why it was three quarters empty. Our server was very friendly but clearly very new and didn’t speak very much other than Spanish, but we managed to figure out the order. She did casually answer her phone while ordering, which was absolutely bizarre. We ordered two drinks. One alcohol-free beer because despite this place being open for about a year according to previous reviews, they still haven’t managed to get an alcohol license. My friend ordered a coffee before his meal (unorthodox, yes, but we were working that night and he needed to cafeine up) and he didn’t get it until food came out. Same as me. Rule number one in service: get the drinks out ASAP so they order another drink when food comes. I ordered another drink, which never came in the half hour we were sat there. Food was bland, cold, zero flavor, zero spice, absolutely nothing that brings the excitement of Latino food. The deep fried plantains were cold, not sure how you manage that unless you have a bunch laying out. My friend ordered a vegetarian platter and I was kinda fancying it as well, so I ordered something that didn’t mention meat on the menu. When it came out, it did have meat. Might want to make sure you mention it. Then again, it was hardly anything to write home about. It was a piece of boiled what I’m going to assume was pork, full of gristle and doused in a flavorless tomato sauce. Any of the reviews coming from Colombians or other Latin Americans saying the food made them think of home either had a completely different cook with a completely different menu, or I feel very bad for the fact that you apparently grew up eating extremely bland, stodgy and greasy food. I’d say this is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to, but at least I didn’t get food poisoning and the server, despite obviously never having gotten anything remotely resembling staff training, was very sweet at least. I think they could do good things here, but our experience was atrocious and although I wish I could be more constructive, I hope they use this feedback to learn and do better.

Great place! Super authentic taste for me that I haven’t found in The Netherlands. It is not super cheap but this is The Hague and it’s in a super nice and popular street so that is to be expected. I wouldn’t listen to much to some of these reviews. It feels like a lot of people came with the wrong expectations with vouchers and not really knowing what they were coming for. Wishing this place all the luck. We’ll be back!

Very tasteful latin/Caribbean food. Place to go for dinner of take away

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out Somos Sabor Latinos in Den Haag through a SocialDeal offer, opting for a 3-course dinner with a friend. Although the experience had its moments, there were several areas where the restaurant fell short, making it difficult for me to consider a return visit. Upon arrival, we almost missed the restaurant because of its dimly lit interior. The lack of lighting, combined with the turned-off "open" sign next to the door, created an uninviting atmosphere. Nevertheless, we decided to venture inside and give it a chance. One of the initial challenges we faced was the language barrier. The staff did not speak Dutch, and their English skills were limited as well. Since we were the first guests, we had the freedom to choose our seating. We were promptly provided with drink menus and the special SocialDeal food menu. However, when my friend requested a cola zero, we were informed that only regular cola was available. It would have been helpful if the menu explicitly indicated the absence of zero or light options, considering the growing number of health-conscious individuals who prefer sugar-free beverages. Moreover, the menu listed the price for one cola as 5 euros, but we were ultimately charged around 3.5 euros on the bill. Opting for a rum myself, I was surprised when the server jokingly told me "good luck" upon serving it, highlighting its strong nature. The rum itself was enjoyable, with a nice and sweet flavor. Moving on to the appetizers, my friend chose the Colombian chicken soup, while I opted for empanadas. When asked how many empanadas I wanted, I was uncertain, so I simply requested the number included in the SocialDeal voucher. Unfortunately, that turned out to be only one. The main dishes, although filling, lacked any standout qualities and were forgettable. For dessert, we were served a cake of some sort, which provided a satisfactory ending to the meal. A notable drawback was the absence of English or Dutch descriptions of the dishes on the Spanish menu. This lack of clarity required us to repeatedly ask the inexperienced server for explanations, which became problematic when the restaurant began to fill up. They seemed overwhelmed, and it was clear that the staff was unable to handle the increased workload. Overall, while I do not see a compelling reason to revisit Somos Sabor Latinos, I believe there is potential for the restaurant to make significant improvements and achieve success. Addressing the issues mentioned, such as improving lighting, providing clear menu descriptions, and enhancing language skills, would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

Pedimos un sancocho de gallina y estaba muy rico ! Tambien pedimos una bandeja paisa, Persibimos los sabores alejados al sabor tipico de una bandeja Paisa. y como paisas que somos sabemos que la carne molida no deberia de llevar salsa "Soya" . Los frijoles extremadamente condimentados tal como los preparan en el Valle y como si esto no fuera poco me trajeron los frijoles y la carne frios !!!! El CHICHARRON, nada que ver con la foto que se ve en la pagina de INSTAGRAM :-( Los jugos naturales y el CHORIZO si estaban deliciosos . Esperamos que Todo esto que escribimos lo tomen como es : son *CRITICAS CONSTRUCTIVAS* !!!

La carta parece comida colombiana, pero no lo es realmente. Aunque no tiene mal sabor, no es delicioso. Los que atienden son amables pero desordenados. No lo recomiendo para ocasiones especiales. El lugar no es bonito.

Service was SLOWWWW! We waited for over an hour for first of our order to arrive. The waiter was confused a lot, brought us wine when we didn't order any, forgot to note a part of our order so we had to repeat it. Once he disappeared in the back of the kitchen, there was no guarantee he will ever come back. Eventually when my wife's food arrived a full hour and a half later, the chicken was cold. Really frustrating experience, don't know if they were under staffed on that day or this is how it is but unlikely we'll ever go back to this restaurant. Hopefully other people's experience will be better than ours but do be prepared to wait for your food.

La comida deliciosa con muchísimo sabor y se nota que es hecha con cariño. Ponen música latina para que te sientas como en casa y la camarera joven es muy simpática y muy atenta 🥰 Hasta ahora es el único sitio dónde de verdad se come bien que yo haya probado en Países Bajos. Las porciones son grandes así que también tienes opción a compartir y el ají está riquísimo. Lo recomiendo al 100%

La muchacha que atiende es muy amable. Las raciones de comidas son grandes y con sabrosa sazón. El ambiente es sencillo, agradable y con muy buena música latina. Menú tanto en español como en Holandés, muy práctico. Como entrada recomiendo las empanadas. Postres: Todos ricos pero ¡El quesillo es delicioso!

Realmente no sé qué pasa con los restaurantes de comida típica Colombiana, reflejan una imagen poco agradable, una mentalidad muy baja en cuanto a calidad, pero ayer tuve el gusto de ir a este lugar, la comida estaba fresca, y en buenas porciones. Como nos gusta a los colombianos, hay cosas por mejorar, serviría mucho invertir un poco en la apariencia del lugar, no tan colorido, pero si meter cosas típicas que al entrar te hagan sentir en casa, espero sigan creciendo y muy pronto volveré.

Latin food gem in The Hague! Since we arrived people were warm and kind. The food was tasty and the portions were super generous. We ordered "quesillo" for dessert and I just fall in love, It reminded me to my childhood 🥹. Thanks for the great food, we will come back!
