We had a delicious meal! Highly recommended for lovers of Italian cuisine. The service is fantastic and incredibly friendly. The desserts are also highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

We had a really delicious meal here with 5 cycling friends. The dishes were very flavorful, and the portions were large enough for our sporting challenge the next day. And a very customer-friendly and sociable host helped make it a successful evening in this atmospheric restaurant.😊

A small restaurant in the middle of a neighborhood, at first we thought we were going to miss the place. But when we arrived just by the smell we knew we had arrived. Very nice people. High quality and very tasty dishes. We really enjoyed it.

I finally decided to write a nice review. We’ve been coming here for a while and enjoy it every time. Not only the delicious food, but also the hospitality, the cozy atmosphere, the excellent wines, and of course the homemade Limoncello. For a wonderfully enjoyable evening out, this restaurant is highly recommended. We love coming here. A solid 5 stars.

Passing through, we quickly looked for a place to grab a bite to eat. So, it turned out to be Sorrento. Cozy restaurant, very friendly service, and really delicious food. We always get happy when we see a somewhat small menu. It often means that attention is paid to freshness and care, rather than 140 items on the menu that cannot be supplied fresh. Should we be in the area again and get hungry, we will definitely stop by again. Thanks.

We had a delicious meal. The Pitch Funghi was extremely flavorful, and the lightly smoky asparagus was a perfect combination. They had sprinkled some vegan cheese around it, but that wasn't actually even necessary! As a vegan, I had more than enough choice. Vegan cheese, vegan cream, plant-based milk, and even a vegan dessert, a kind of pistachio tart. Highly recommended!

Always a nice experience at Sorrento. Even though I don't come very often, they always remember what I order :) I consider that a plus, and it makes it personal. Atmosphere 4 stars, because there could be some variety in the music.

We were passing through and looking for the best pizzeria, ended up here, and it certainly did not disappoint. The host was alone due to a sick colleague, but that couldn't spoil his mood; you could see the kitchen staff had to step up their game and bring the food to us. The food was of excellent quality and recognizably Italian: fresh, pure, balanced flavors. Nothing to complain about.

General: Cozy, small, atmospheric restaurant. Friendly service, delicious calzone pizzas, and a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. A real treat. We did have to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for our pizzas, but it was definitely worth the wait. The owner (or manager, perhaps) also served with a good dose of humor, which we certainly appreciate. Special note: For people who are more sensitive to sensory overload, Sorrento is a bit of a challenge because the acoustics are somewhat noisy. BUT a big thumbs up for the extra service in this regard. My mother had mentioned during the reservation that there was someone on the sensory spectrum in the party, and this was handled with class and respect. The most remote table was reserved for us, even though it meant that we, three people, were occupying a table meant for five. Thanks again for this. I’ll definitely come and try the tiramisu next time 😉

The pizza was delicious. It was very busy, so service took a bit longer, but still certainly within acceptable limits. The table next to us was unfortunately quite loud, which was a bit disruptive. Otherwise, there was a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

What a disappointment! This shouldn't be called an Italian specialty restaurant. The sauce is from a can, salty, and looks slimy. There are no garnishes, and the meat is tough and tasteless. If you want a delicious piece of meat, Sorrento is definitely not the place to go. The owner doesn't understand criticism to improve the restaurant.

A complete disappointment! Absolutely ruining Italian cuisine. Vitello tonnato; the vitello was barely visible under a blanket of various vegetables/raw vegetables. I didn't taste the vitello, and the tuna mayonnaise was completely gone. As a salad, it would have been passable, but that's not what I asked for. The steak had to be chewed thoroughly, and I left half of it. I tried to politely explain to the owner what and why it wasn't good. The answer: yes, if I serve it Italian-style, no one will come. I adapt the menu to the people of Lelystad. The previous owner had a fantastic Italian kitchen and was always packed. We wanted to try it for an upcoming party, but it won't be celebrated here. Two starters, two main courses, three glasses of red wine. One coke and one bottle of water €125.

Need a quick bite? Don't bother. Bring a game to kill time. Or a packed lunch if you're hungry. After an hour and a half, we had an appetizer, so a lot of patience is required. No, it all took a really long time. And luckily, the place wasn't even full. In short, a good meal. But it took way too long.

A very cozy, small restaurant in Lelystad on the food court. There's plenty of parking nearby on Meent. There's also parking right outside, but it's usually full. It has a great atmosphere and delicious food and drinks with Italian music in the background. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

We ordered pizzas for a quick bite. The food wasn't delivered until two hours later. When we called, it was very busy, which caused everything to go wrong. Unfortunately, this is often the excuse this restaurant gives. However, the food was very good. If you're in a hurry and want to order something, I recommend choosing a different restaurant.

Good restaurant with delicious dishes outside Pizza and pasta.

I went to Sorrento restaurant 15. march during my long weekend in Lelystad with a friend. The waiters were really nice and kind from the moment we arrived. The service was quite quick. I am really into Italian food and was a bit disappointed when I got the carbonara I ordered. It is not a carbonara as it would be served in Italy or more classic Italian restaurants. However, it tasted really good and I would actually come back if I visit Lelystad again in the future. My friend ordered a pizza that had a thin, tasty crust. The pizza was normally sized as one would expect in an Italian restaurant. All in all I am really happy with my visit, and the only thing that pulled the "food" rating down is because the carbonara was not a classic carbonara.

Ordered today (April 12) at 5:10 PM, food delivered around 6:45 PM. Food was okay, but not special. Pizza diavola lacked spice and had too much paprika, the pizza margharita had too thick a base and was very salty. Not what you expect from an Italian restaurant. The children's spaghetti bolognaise was ok but certainly not special. But I think the very slow delivery is a huge disadvantage. They could at least call to let us know that it would be delivered so late, or indicate the delivery time on the website. Not worth repeating, not recommended!

For an Italian restaurant I think the pizza is very poor. The pizza was limp and soggy. Chicken was dry. No, I won't order pizza here anymore

Delicious Italian food at this somewhat hidden restaurant. You would quickly walk past it, but it is still worth a try to have something to eat! Staff was friendly & fast, and the food was good at a normal price. The decoration of the restaurant could be a bit nicer.

Had dinner at Sorento in Lelystad on Saturday 09-11-2024. Super tasty and the staff is super nice and helpful. We will definitely come back, highly recommended.

Ordered calzone and foccacia with pesto. Calzone was great, foccacia was disappointing, it was just pizza dough with some herbs, not nice and fluffy.

Delicious food! (2 years ago) Now here again, it's a bit of a shame that there is a spiderweb with 8 lines hanging between my wine glass and the plant on the table. And that this spider web continues on the windowsill.

Super bad pizza. Wash hard and dry. I had a shawarma pizza with extra chicken, it looked like dry fried chicken had already been thrown on the pizza at the end. There was also no pepper or cheese like that, which was also limited. This made the pizza even drier. My husband had a pizza polo, it was just as hard and dry and the chicken tasted of nothing.

There were very few staff present when we ate here - only one person running the bar and serving. This caused some delays, but nevertheless we were helped friendly and correctly by this very busy gentleman. The pizzas were rated as good around me, my pollo al forno was tasty; also add the spaghetti 'aio oio', good al dente; the chicken leg was fine, the breast too dry. The penne in cream sauce was tasty but rich. A great espresso afterwards.

The place is beautiful, central easy to reach, the good was amazing even the dessert, the person who received us was super nice, she was alone and she did perfect with all the tables, fast and well. Recommend

My husband's food came after an hour, mine after an hour and a half and when we left after two hours, some of the group were still waiting for their food. No excuses by giving some baguette or olives. When I asked about a friend's order, the answer was, we can't do magic. So he got his food at 8:30. The food itself is delicious, but the long wait doesn't make up for it. Such a pity. Hiring more staff or, to be honest, we cannot handle such a large group. And don't react irritated if someone really wants their food.

well, I ordered food and if I'm completely honest I understand why they're going to stop. Waited 2 and a half hours, someone arrived on a bicycle with cold food. steak burnt, salmon burnt, pizza is so hard you could kill someone with it, spaghetti is not cooked and neither are the vegetables. I tried for about 45 minutes to call this mafioso, but there is no answer, my father calls, my grandfather calls and I call. the count rang once and then didn't ring again. mfs just pulled the plug. If a chef has worked here, he can take some cooking lessons because this is really not possible 💀

Make no mistake: the place looks great, but I have never had to wait so long for terribly bad food... it can't be that difficult: pasta and pizzas are simple dishes that can largely be prepared in advance. 1x chicken, which was tough and covered in a sauce of unknown origin. Would it be soy-based: no way! And then the price of a bottle of water!!! €7.70, capacity 0.75 l; scandalous! If you have to wait more than an hour for a snack, you drink a lot. We strongly recommend this restaurant!!!!

After having eaten once in the restaurant where the food was good but the service was poor. We ordered something via home delivery on May 12, 2024. Ordered at 6:30 am and was not delivered until 9:00 pm, while delivery was scheduled for 30 - 45 minutes. Ultimately the order was delivered, but the ordered pizzas were inedible. Far too dry and a strange aftertaste. We were able to throw the entire order straight into the bin. So never again Sorrento for us.

We waited a long time before ordering anything (even drinks), then a long wait for the food, which is served at different times for all people, so one person eats the food and the other people watch, a bit shabbily. We asked for two plates for one pizza, we had to insist. I had the impression that it was strange for them. The staff didn't offer us anything else to drink when they took away the empty glasses.

Ordered here: it is normal to have a delivery time of 1.30, I didn't know that. But then the food... I can't imagine that there was a chef in the kitchen who even bothered to taste what he/she made. I had a penne arabiata, if I hadn't seen that it had a little red color on it I wouldn't have believed that anything had been done with the pasta. it was like eating plain pasta. staff was friendly and the food was really good
