Lovely food, workers are friendly too!

On a Saturday (end of December 2024) ordered sugar-free apple squares for a Monday. I understood that they were in the freezer at the time. Fine. Picked up and paid for in the store on Monday. Assuming that these Apple squares were thawed. Nothing was said at all upon delivery about the fact that they came from the freezer when sold. When we wanted to eat them a few hours later, they turned out to be still half frozen. Very annoying. Even more annoying is the response by email from (probably) the owner of bakery Vlot. Responds under the name "Bakkerij Vlot" and only offers apologies and states that one thing or another did not come across well; while nothing at all was said about the frozen condition when sold! Mr. or Mrs. Bakery Vlot no longer responds after my last email. Bad service and hardly any understanding for me as a customer. The pastries are fine, but the response when something has not been right is appalling.

Today, for the first time in Sliedrecht, I bought spring rolls and sauce from this gentleman. And wow, what a great experience! He was such a nice man, and we got to try two different spring rolls: chicken and pork. They were both delicious. We preferred the chicken, so we took it home frozen to enjoy with our children and grandchildren. We also bought a jar of sauce, because it's truly the best sauce ever! We'll definitely be coming to Sliedrecht from Veenendaal just for this. Thank you for the wonderful experience and the delicious spring rolls and sauce!

A truly extensive selection of wonderful bread and pastries. All the staff are always knowledgeable and very friendly. What a great bakery!

I went to the bar and ordered a Coca-Cola. But it wasn't sparkling. The woman in charge poured it straight from a large plastic bottle into my glass. I politely asked her to get me a different drink because it was empty. But she refused and asked if I wanted a new sparkling one. I had to buy and pay for a new one. This complaint isn't about the price of the Coca-Cola, but about the poor service. That's unfair. She was really rude.👎🏼
