How disappointing… a salad, grilled (boiled, not grilled) chicken, and a platter with various dishes (mezze-like). That platter had 6 small bowls: 2 ratatouille, 1 meatball in sauce, 1 chicken salad, yogurt dressing, and bread rolls. Very mediocre. Boiled chicken; not grilled. I would give it just a 6. Decent service, though.

My first time eating Moroccan food and I'm thrilled – fresh, delicious, and varied. We had the salad with pears, goat cheese, and walnuts, and other small dishes (scampi, fried squid, hummus, bread with olive tapenade, etc.). Everything was perfect for sharing! 👍 Until next time – the staff was also very friendly and attentive. 😍

We received pleasant service here; the staff is incredibly friendly. We sat on the beautiful terrace with comfortable chairs, in the afternoon sun, and had a delicious lunch there. The location in the old city center creates an atmospheric setting. We did not sit inside, but the interior looks cozy and has a Mediterranean feel. We have already agreed to dine inside here sometime, because it looks inviting.

We have been coming here for about 6 years and the food is and remains good. During the last two visits, we were particularly impressed by the waiter. This young man knows what hospitality is, makes time for a chat, notices details, and creates a very pleasant atmosphere, in addition to the delicious food. Compliments!!

The food was tasty, but a lot of it was deep-fried and salad. What didn't sit well with me was the bottle of wine at the checkout for 39.50, a Cabernet Sauvignon... so nothing spectacular, while a glass used to cost 7 euros. I asked how this was possible, but they said there would be a discussion about it later... that's no use to me. So the price-quality ratio is completely out of balance here. It's a shame, because the terrace is nice. Let's take a closer look at the business philosophy: it's better to have returning customers than to empty your wallet just once.

A lovely terrace to simply sit for a while, people-watch, and listen to your own thoughts. Pleasant, attentive service that doesn't intrude but does notice when your glass is empty, a friendly owner, good beer at a fair price, and a spacious terrace with enough cover to offer room for smokers as well. All in all, a terrace worth visiting often.

I haven't eaten this well in a long time! So much flavor, truly delicious! The owner is also very friendly and helpful. The tagines are very large. We were told beforehand that we could take home whatever we didn't finish. We found both the mezze and the grand dessert very affordable for what you got. A warm welcome, the service is attentive, but what is really nice is: not asking about wishes etc. every five minutes. Natural and, once again, no 'pushy' help for a person with difficulty walking. I saw rats next to the restaurant, the restaurant stank and was dirty, there was hair in the food, everything was bad, even the service was bad.

Visited Sultani again yesterday. Unfortunately, for years now we have lived a bit further away than during our previous trips to Sultani. That is why we try to visit this superb restaurant at least once a year. The food is 5 stars, the staff is very professional, and the atmosphere is really cozy. The host is also truly top-notch. His expertise is unmatched. In short, I recommend everyone visit this restaurant at least once in their life. A gem of Zutphen. Highly recommended. Until next time.

The portions were actually a bit too large. The staff were very helpful, friendly, and hospitable. Downside: the acoustics; it is quite noisy. Otherwise, Sultani is a lovely place to eat.

A four for the food. It was all really delicious, but I had expected a bit more Asian spices in the tagine. Apart from that, I will definitely go to this restaurant more often.

Simple Moroccan food was a bit dry and very expensive. Unfortunately, my experience was not as good.

As usual, we had a delicious meal at Sultani. The all-time favorites, Salmon Tagine and Lamb Tagine with Lentils, were particularly tasty once again. The Moroccan house red wine is also highly recommended. Unfortunately, we have moved to another part of the country, but even as ‘tourists’, we will certainly be back!

Since it was now 5:45 PM, he said he had to check if there was still room for four. After consulting, it turned out that there was still a table available. We were stunned and just went along because we really wanted to eat Moroccan food. The food was excellent and the service was okay.

The Moroccan tea is also highly recommended, served in a lovely, authentic Moroccan teapot. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. There were no English menus, but we simply used Google Lens to translate. They even packed up the leftovers for us, so nothing went to waste. The only downside was the wait for the food. Apparently, sandwiches are more common at lunchtime, and they seemed to arrive much faster—but the wait was definitely worth it!

Tonight we ate at Sultani for the first time, and it certainly wasn't disappointing 😀 Upon arrival, we received a very friendly welcome and were allowed to choose from three different tables (the advantage of arriving a bit earlier). As an appetizer (definitely not an appetizer), we chose the bread board with 10 rolls and various dips. We were asked if we were sure because there were 10 rolls... we ordered anyway... phew... the 10 rolls were the size of a small baguette... but they were so delicious... and the dips... mmmm For our main course, we ordered the salmon tagine and the lamb and plum tagine. Very large portions, BUT they were so delicious! Perfectly heated and perfectly seasoned. Luckily, they have doggy bags, so we could take some of the lamb home with us. And then you'd stop. Right? No, not us... for dessert, we had the grand dessert... a tasting of all the desserts... The staff are all so friendly and kind. But for us, one person stood head and shoulders above the rest. We don't know his name, but besides taking orders, serving, and chatting here and there, he also managed all the staff! BEST! Full of food, we rolled back to the car. Worth repeating? YES, DEFINITELY!

We couldn't finish it all, and I saw many people leaving with goody bags (which is a nice solution). I had a whole chicken, and it would have been nice if that dish had been a bit more juicy. The tagine, for example, was! The staff and host were very friendly, attentive, and quick. We had a nice chat with the host before we left. The decor could be a bit more balanced. We thought the glass wall didn't match the rest of the interior. All in all, a surprising alternative with delicious desserts :D

The food was truly excellent. We'd love to come back for that! A small side note: the furniture could use a bit of a refresh here and there – some tables and chairs were a bit wobbly. The view of the dishes from the restaurant also detracted somewhat from the experience. Not a huge deal, but with a few adjustments, the atmosphere would be even better.
