My husband and I ventured to visit all of the Lyan bars in the world. This was stop number 3 for us and they did not disappoint. The drinks and staff were truly amazing. I highly recommend! Thank you, to the staff, for making my experience so special!

Truly amazing experience. The bartenders were phenomenal, super sociable and providing an excellent service. The cocktails were mindblowing! I tried many types of them and each was perfect: I had tomato cocktail inspired by Amsterdam neighborhood (Concrete Spritz), pride special which was spicy beer cocktail, Lyan all start which was nutty and creamy (Hagelslag) as well as two classic cocktails: Negroni and Bloody Mary. Both the house specials and classics were phenomenal, Super Lyan excels in both. Wonderful discovery I’ll definitely be back!

I can’t sing enough praises about this bar. The service and cocktails are both outstanding and next level. Pierre and Angelo are incredible bartenders and salt of the earth human beings. I’ve lived in Amsterdam over 7 years and I’ve yet to find a bar that compares in quality and hospitality to this place. It’s a favourite that I keep coming back to. Come for the award winning cocktails, stay for the immaculate vibes. 10/10 would recommend. :)

An outstanding experience. One of my favourite spots.

One last stop on our last night in Amsterdam. My son Emanuele decided to take us here. The atmosphere is more than welcoming, and the staff is top-notch. I'm not a great cocktail connoisseur, but I really liked the one I ordered. Would I recommend it? More than that!

I was initially rather sceptical on arrival but I was so wrong! -These guys are chemists / magicians and the depth of quality and originality of their cocktails is like nothing I've experienced before. You must try their dark n stormy interpretation !

The atmosphere is creative, energetic, and welcoming, but what really made the night stand out was the exceptional service from John. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine conversation — attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly passionate about the experience he provides. The drinks were outstanding: inventive, perfectly balanced, and memorable from start to finish. The food was equally impressive and paired beautifully with the cocktails. John’s recommendations were spot-on and elevated the entire evening. If you’re visiting Super Lyan, ask for John. Great hospitality like that is rare and absolutely deserves recognition. Super Lyan is, without doubt, one of the finest bars in Amsterdam and perhaps one of the most beautiful places to experience the city through a glass. What makes it truly special is that it is not just a bar with good cocktails. It is a bar with a deep philosophy behind almost everything it does. The menus feel seasonal, thoughtful and strongly connected to the rhythm of life in Amsterdam and, more broadly, to the spirit of the Netherlands. The storytelling is one of its strongest elements. It does not feel decorative or forced. It feels grounded, relevant and genuinely connected to the drinks. Every concept has a reason to exist, and every drink feels like it carries a small narrative without ever becoming complicated or pretentious. What I particularly appreciate is the balance between creativity and drinkability. The cocktails are inventive, but they are also designed to be enjoyed. Whatever you order, there is a sense that the flavours have been built to meet the guest’s palate with elegance, ease and pleasure. The service is excellent: warm, precise, confident and genuinely professional. The team makes the experience feel effortless, while clearly operating at a very high level. One detail that says a lot about their standards is the presence of a bartender at the pass almost like you would see in a serious fine dining restaurant. For me, this is a clear sign of how much they care about consistency, quality control and the final product that reaches the guest. Super Lyan is a bar with intelligence, personality and serious hospitality behind it. It is absolutely worth visiting not just for a drink, but for the full experience.

Amazing experience at Super Lyan. I was brought here by Rafael, who works at the Kimpton hotel, and I’m so glad he recommended it. The East 8 Straight Up was one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly balanced, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable, and every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Super Lyan is that rare find: a high-end cocktail bar that manages to be incredibly precise without any of the pretension. This place is as amazing! I didn’t have plans for the night and figured I would swing in for a quick bite and cocktail—ended up being here for 4 hours. The whole team is attentive and friendly. By far the coolest bar in Amsterdam! It's hard to find friendly waiters in this city. Not here! We've rarely seen such cool and cheerful waiters. Plus, the service is simply top-notch! Free water, delicious side dishes, and great cocktails! We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic! As soon as you sit down at your table/the bar, a glass of water is brought to you, which is refilled every time it's empty. Completely free! ☺️ The service is simply amazing, very attentive, and super fast! The guys really do a great job! We ordered chips and salsa, and when the chips ran out, they refilled the bowl on the house. The cocktails were delicious! Clearly experienced mixologists (Andy) with unique drinks and house made syrups. Really enjoyed the super cosmo & kimchi prosecco drink. My fiancée really enjoyed the old fashioned. Pricier if you come after happy hour, so I suggest coming between 4-6pm!

Perhaps my favorite cocktail bar! The cocktails are delicious and there are plenty of special choices. The staff is friendly, chatty, and gives great advice! The glasses the cocktails are served in are beautiful! The atmosphere is also nice, busy but not loud. If I take someone out for drinks in the city center, I practically always go here! Fantastic ❤️

The best cocktail bar I've tried in Amsterdam. Pierre and the whole team are super professional, friendly, and fun. The cocktails are very well made and delicious, in a relaxed yet chic atmosphere—elegant yet fun, whether you're going alone, on a date, with friends—it doesn't matter, the experience will be great. Such a cool bar and an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. As three young females visiting from overseas, that sense of ease and respect really meant a lot to us. We truly felt looked after and taken care of — even the small details, like the team coming over to refill our water without us asking, did not go unnoticed and were deeply appreciated. We accidentally stumbled upon the bar and originally planned to stay just for pre-dinner drinks before a reservation at a nearby restaurant, but it was so good that we decided to head to our reservation and come straight back afterwards. The drinks were outstanding, beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. We loved that the team took the time to answer our questions and share their recommendations; every single drink we tried was a hit. Everything was delectable. Special mention to our favourite of the night, the East 8 Straight Up, truly next level and delicious. What really sets this place apart is the care and attention given not just to us, but to everyone at the bar. You can tell the staff genuinely value their patrons and love what they do, which made the entire experience feel special and personal. Amazing cocktails, suuuper nice atmosphere and the best service ever 😍 our waiter Samuel helped us with the best recommendations and even suggested some classic cocktails that could match what we were looking for. My husband and I were recommended this place by other local bartenders and were told it’s the “bartender’s bar.” I originally had it on my list to check out due to its close proximity to our hotel and the good reviews. However, once we heard from a few local mixos this spot was amazing we decided to pop in. The staff is fun, energetic, genuine, and care about your experience for sure. The drinks are great but the vibes are greater. So much so we came back the next night. Everyone is amazing. but special shout out to Sam and Lorenzo- thanks for showing us a good time and blessing us with the light up cat and Dave’s hot chicken rubber chicken. IYKYK.

I had previously been to another Lyan location, so I knew that the cocktails were going to be fabulous (and they were). What really set this bar apart was the staff. They were friendly, excited about the drinks they were making, and enthused to answer questions about the menu. My partner and I had a fantastic time sitting at the bar and talking with the bar tenders. Andy in particular was amazing and made our night.

Hosted an 80 person client event here and it was utterly fantastic! From working with Lieke weeks in advance to secure the booking, to working w Pierre & his great team behind the bar on the night. Service fantastic I was never without a drink in my hand and not were my guests. The food was delicious & generous portions. In particular the ceviche and incredible choc mousse desert in large cups. The space is beautiful and comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Thanks to all at Super Lyan 🙏🙏

Fantastic bar with a great crew! These guys know their stuff. Their on-menu items are not to be missed but if you like the classics they can do that too. It’s one of the most comfortable bars in town and just lively enough to keep everyone enjoying themselves while still being able to hear your friends best stories without them having to shout. We stayed at the Kimpton DeWitt. Great little bar. Cocktails had a very nice range of selection. Expertly prepared. They had one of my favourite beer Noam. Cocktails were creative and served in nice glassware. My only complaint is the furniture. We sat in nearly every configuration of seating and only one table was comfortable. Looks cool but just not comfortable. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I would recommend a visit.

Most visited bar in Amsterdam for me personally. Apart from great service and craftsmanship, I think no one changes drinks menu as often as Super Lyan. Plus, it’s a very spacious place that always welcome walk ins.

We ended up there by chance on a friends' trip to Amsterdam. The place is cool, a modern cocktail bar that connects to a restaurant and a hotel area. There's a peculiar cocktail menu (top much for me). The prices are high (Amsterdam style), but the cocktails are small and most of them are very strong. Don't imagine a gin and tonic or a Spanish-style mojito. I think because we didn't fully understand the menu, we ordered any cocktail thinking it would be delicious (mistake). I would define our visit as an experience. Peculiar. Very funny waiters who constantly give you water, you have little things to snack on, and a peculiar atmosphere too. A modern vibe that you should visit to judge for yourself ;)

The service is utterly fantastic. The servers are super attentive. The menu is fantastic; it has a detailed history of Amsterdam and how each period inspired the drinks that it creates! The atmosphere is fantastic. Caveat to my drinks rating: I only tried the rosé that they offered on the menu. Based on my observations of the bar, the bartenders seem experienced and cocktails are the drink of choice of most other customers. I was craving a good wine and the rosé was subpar.

Sam & Pierre were super friendly and good recommenders. The drinks were interesting and classy, different than other cocktail bars in the area. The options were creative and had unique backstories relating to the history of Amsterdam which was fun to learn. Friendly to tourists and locals alike!

A must-see in Amsterdam because we loved it so much. The atmosphere was great, the decor was great, and the bar was spectacular. Possibly the best bar in the world. The place is nicely built, the drinks are really good but what makes this place a drinker’s delight is the staff. I visited this place thrice and each time, without fail, I was greeted with a smile by the entire staff - YES, every single person said Hi and smiled, not just on one of the days but all three days. I have never been to a bar that is so welcoming. The way these guys work and the sync between them is phenomenal. It is clear that everyone at Super Lyan takes their job seriously, resulting in a top-class service that makes you come back again and for more. Special shout-out to my man Pierre. He is super nice to talk to, has a great sense of humour, suggested me possibly the best cocktail I’ve had in a while and is simply amazing at what he does. Another exceptional person at this establishment - Angelos. He looked after me on my first visit and set the tone for me to come back for the rest of my trip. Without a doubt, he is great at his job and we need more bartenders like him (and Pierre). To summarise, this place is easily one of the best bars in the world and I am glad I randomly stumbled upon this place. If you ever end up being here, ask for Pierre (again, one of the nicest people out there) or Angelos and you’d be well taken care of. 11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great spot, drinks on the weak side

It is a relatively small bar, pricey and not very special. It was a nice experience, but not worth repeating. I expected much more from it. By the way, friendly/helpful staff and a good atmosphere.

All 4 of the cocktails we ordered were really not tasty. Tasted each other and it really tasted like hydrogen peroxide. Normally I don't like reviews, but this is really the worst I've ever had.

Maybe the building was a Dutch house, but this is a hotel bar. A derivative of a take on what was once a great bar concept. The bartender gave me my "cycle drink" and said "also known as diabetes in a glass" he was right...it was sickly sweet. How about letting me know you think the cocktail I ordered is gross when I order it, not after you serve it but before I taste it. Also...less unforgivable...why is your bar surface curves toward your guests. How many people spill drinks on themselves a week?
