For being such a fun and lively bar, the staff was so quick to find us bar seats and talk through their menus.

Celebrated my 30th birthday at Super Lyan and the staff made sure I had the best time! Sam (friendliest guy) took care of everyone for the night, the cocktails, service and vibe were amazing, can def recommend!

Fantastic atmosphere, great drink selection, and better service. Our server Sam was extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful. By far, the best service we have had in 3 days in Amsterdam (and that's not a knock on other places). Highly recommend.

I had previously been to another Lyan location, so I knew that the cocktails were going to be fabulous (and they were). What really set this bar apart was the staff. They were friendly, excited about the drinks they were making, and enthused to answer questions about the menu. My partner and I had a fantastic time sitting at the bar and talking with the bar tenders. Andy in particular was amazing and made our night.

Hosted an 80 person client event here and it was utterly fantastic! From working with Lieke weeks in advance to secure the booking, to working w Pierre & his great team behind the bar on the night. Service fantastic I was never without a drink in my hand and not were my guests. The food was delicious & generous portions. In particular the ceviche and incredible choc mousse desert in large cups. The space is beautiful and comfortable. I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Thanks to all at Super Lyan 🙏🙏

Fantastic bar with a great crew! These guys know their stuff. Their on-menu items are not to be missed but if you like the classics they can do that too. It’s one of the most comfortable bars in town and just lively enough to keep everyone enjoying themselves while still being able to hear your friends best stories without them having to shout. Come for the drinks and stay for the food and good vibes.

Super great cocktails - and friendly service.

We stayed at the Kimpton DeWitt. Great little bar. Cocktails had a very nice range of selection. Expertly prepared. They had one of my favourite beer Noam. Cocktails were creative and served in nice glassware. My only complaint is the furniture. We sat in nearly every configuration of seating and only one table was comfortable. Looks cool but just not comfortable. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I would recommend a visit.

Most visited bar in Amsterdam for me personally. Apart from great service and craftsmanship, I think no one changes drinks menu as often as Super Lyan. Plus, it’s a very spacious place that always welcome walk ins.

We ended up there by chance on a friends' trip to Amsterdam. The place is cool, a modern cocktail bar that connects to a restaurant and a hotel area. There's a peculiar cocktail menu (top much for me). The prices are high (Amsterdam style), but the cocktails are small and most of them are very strong. Don't imagine a gin and tonic or a Spanish-style mojito. I think because we didn't fully understand the menu, we ordered any cocktail thinking it would be delicious (mistake). I would define our visit as an experience. Peculiar. Very funny waiters who constantly give you water, you have little things to snack on, and a peculiar atmosphere too. A modern vibe that you should visit to judge for yourself ;)

The service is utterly fantastic. The servers are super attentive. The menu is fantastic; it has a detailed history of Amsterdam and how each period inspired the drinks that it creates! The atmosphere is fantastic. Caveat to my drinks rating: I only tried the rosé that they offered on the menu. Based on my observations of the bar, the bartenders seem experienced and cocktails are the drink of choice of most other customers. I was craving a good wine and the rosé was subpar.

Sam & Pierre were super friendly and good recommenders. The drinks were interesting and classy, different than other cocktail bars in the area. The options were creative and had unique backstories relating to the history of Amsterdam which was fun to learn. Friendly to tourists and locals alike!

A must-see in Amsterdam because we loved it so much. The atmosphere was great, the decor was great, and the bar was spectacular. Classic and signature cocktails, we couldn't resist ordering everything from the menu and more. The cocktails were very good, but I have to say some were a bit short, but I highly recommend them. And the waiters and bartenders were super friendly and gave us a photo and some pins.

This is a brilliant place for cocktails. Fantastic range of delicious creations to suit all tastes and very helpful and attentive service. We particularly liked the inventive ingredients and unusual flavours. Really, really good and highly recommended.

Possibly the best bar in the world. The place is nicely built, the drinks are really good but what makes this place a drinker’s delight is the staff. I visited this place thrice and each time, without fail, I was greeted with a smile by the entire staff - YES, every single person said Hi and smiled, not just on one of the days but all three days. I have never been to a bar that is so welcoming. The way these guys work and the sync between them is phenomenal. It is clear that everyone at Super Lyan takes their job seriously, resulting in a top-class service that makes you come back again and for more. Special shout-out to my man Pierre. He is super nice to talk to, has a great sense of humour, suggested me possibly the best cocktail I’ve had in a while and is simply amazing at what he does. Another exceptional person at this establishment - Angelos. He looked after me on my first visit and set the tone for me to come back for the rest of my trip. Without a doubt, he is great at his job and we need more bartenders like him (and Pierre). To summarise, this place is easily one of the best bars in the world and I am glad I randomly stumbled upon this place. If you ever end up being here, ask for Pierre (again, one of the nicest people out there) or Angelos and you’d be well taken care of. 11/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great spot, drinks on the weak side

It is a relatively small bar, pricey and not very special. It was a nice experience, but not worth repeating. I expected much more from it. By the way, friendly/helpful staff and a good atmosphere.

All 4 of the cocktails we ordered were really not tasty. Tasted each other and it really tasted like hydrogen peroxide. Normally I don't like reviews, but this is really the worst I've ever had.

Really cool cocktails and very tasty! Great spot for a cocktail in central Amsterdam - not far from train station. Cocktails are €16/€17 - a little pricey but it’s a cool bar and they’re serving up some greats so worth it!

We had a cocktail here to round off a day in Amsterdam. Super friendly service! Nice that you like a glass of water with your cocktail gets. This was also constantly replenished. And most importantly…very tasty cocktails.

Maybe the building was a Dutch house, but this is a hotel bar. A derivative of a take on what was once a great bar concept. The bartender gave me my "cycle drink" and said "also known as diabetes in a glass" he was right...it was sickly sweet. How about letting me know you think the cocktail I ordered is gross when I order it, not after you serve it but before I taste it. Also...less unforgivable...why is your bar surface curves toward your guests. How many people spill drinks on themselves a week?

The French Winter Martini is superb

This may look like a cheesy neon party bar, but the cocktail program is ANYTHING but. Both drinks I had were incredibly creative. Their menu at the time was themed for communities in the Netherlands, and I loved both the smooth sweet grassiness of the hay smoked butter wash in the Red Light District as well as the creamy and fruity combination of Surinamese fruit with a nitro finish in the Surinamese Community. The three mixologists I chatted with were incredibly friendly and fun and knowledgeable and had so much pride in their creations (even if one of you is still wrong about Last Words (j/k) ;)). I was as sad to call it a night as they were to say goodbye! Definitely will be on the top of my list to revisit next time I'm in Amsterdam. Dankuwel!!

One of my favorite cocktail bars in Amsterdam. Top hospitality, atmosphere and cocktails. I liked that even when it's a hotel bar, the vibe is fun and energetic. They have a really good menu with signature cocktails inspired by the communities of the Netherlands, Lyan all stars and classics. Excellent attention from all the staff. Highly recommended.

It’s nice! It’s definitely NOT a gay bar Idk why it shows up in “gay bar” searches. But it’s a friendly crowd, mostly tourists, mostly hotel patrons. Very central, great location, it’s just not gay. Go! If you’re not seeking a gay bar, why not!

Very nice bar with unusual cocktails! The staff is really very accommodating and you get free water, which is always refilled. I was even able to take my dog ​​with me. We recommend!!!

Grab a cozy nook seat and watch the artistry of the mixologists! They have some unique preparations and even the menu book tells stories of each neighborhood’s cultural heritage. Every drink was prepared differently. My favorite—the Senegalese was creamy & frothy garnished with fresh panda leaves, made with great care and finished with a spritz of something magical. Also don’t miss the dish of fried potato croquettes topped with cream sauce and cheese. Rich and delicious and enough to be a meal or share with 3 people.

Still thinking about this spot, days later! The little bites menu really hit the spot and the drinks were fantastic. There were two of us and we got three little dishes between us and felt satiated but not full. We also both had two cocktails but could have easily had more to explore their menu more fully. The servers were lovely and I've never seen a whole team work together to craft a single perfect cocktail so well before. Will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

The service in the atmosphere was amazing. We came here on a evening. There was no line / queue to get in. The server was super polite. The drinks were super tasty and they also came in a timely manner. We really love the Neon lights and decor inside. The olives were also super tasty. They had a great selection of cocktails, And the staff were super friendly. I would definitely recommend for anyone. If you’re looking to have a nice cocktail in Amsterdam, come check these guys out.

nice drinks (not the best), vibes not as cool as it seems (should be on a rooftop imo). however, our biggest turn-off was the waitress (with nosering, you know who you are) looking down on us and saying “you are meant to eat them with your hands” when you ask for a fork.
