Surya Bodegraven in Wijk 02 Bodegraven Centrum

The butter chicken was very sweet, a bit too sweet for my taste. Every restaurant has its own recipe, but I personally prefer a spicier/savory version of butter chicken. The garlic naan and mango lassi were very tasty. I also want to compliment the service: two young people were very attentive and knew exactly when we needed something.

A beautifully decorated pub. The dark room with lamps adds to the atmosphere. The food is easily filling. The staff, especially the chef, are very friendly.

We ordered starters..Way too pricey and the quality was poor. Momos were sad. They were hard and cold. The waitress was kind enough to get a new batch, but that wasnt all cooked either. Paneer tikka was alright, but still was on harder side.

We've never had such good Indian food. The dishes are presented very authentically and tastefully impressive across the board. The waitress was super attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was very pleasant. We would go back anytime and will certainly remember our visit for a long time 😊

Reservering 11 pers “kwijt”, worden toch na 30 min in een hoekje gestopt. Kip komt met de veren er nog aan op tafel. Bediening te weinig ervaring om het goed te doen. Moesten 1 uur wachten op ons voorgerecht. Slechte kwaliteit voor de prijs die betaald wordt.

Amazing place, we were very happily surprised to find this gem when we moved to Bodegraven. Really good curries, probably the best we have had in the Netherlands. I guess if we have to say one thing that could be improved: mango chutney should be standard with papadams instead of an extra. Otherwise: simply amazing!

My favourite Nepali place in the area. I've been regularly coming here for a few years now. Amazing food, cool owner and a great ambiance. Suitable for a business dinner, a celebration or a date.

It was delicious again! Have eaten here a few times, really addictive! Have the Samosa Chaat, the Mushroom Tikka as a starter and the Korma King Prawn and Biryani King Prawn as a main course. Never too spicy! Always just right. For the first time a little disappointed in the Biryani, missed the generosity of the whole and many nuts and raisins. I experienced this at Surya Utecht and that's why I won't go there anymore. The atmosphere/ambiance in Bodegraven is special and the service is always super friendly. I will definitely go again.. The price is worth the entire experience!

Ordered vegetarian food there. It was soooo good 😭🫶 if the recipe for the sauce doesn't say love then maybe it's just pure passion. Keep it up!! PLEASE!!!

Unfortunately this time a bad experience. The food was good and tasty as usual, but the starter, at least only half of what we ordered, arrived at the table after more than 1 hour of waiting at the same time as the main course without any apologies. Only the message that something had gone wrong in the kitchen??? We also had to ask several times if we could get something to drink. All in all a disappointment this time, hopefully this will improve in the near future 🤞🏻🤞🏻because the food is just good.

Had a delicious meal at Surya's tonight. I had never eaten Indian food before and I was really surprised by the different flavor explosions. The service was very professional, competent and hospitable by accepting our coat. The interior looks inspiring and chic. Definitely recommended if you want to eat good and healthy food.

A beautiful design and attractive restaurant. The reception is hospitable, and your coat can be accepted for place in the wardrobe. The choice of drinks is more than sufficient. Also various wines and beers, something for everyone. We had papadums beforehand and were given some unusual sauces. The server did not know in advance which sauces were included. Chili sauce(?), a spicy mint sauce and a yogurt sauce. For someone who doesn't like spicy, so only the yogurt sauce available. Price €3.50 for 2 papadums. They do have mango chutney and can be ordered for €4.50. The starters are quite expensive. For Onion Bhajee, for example, €8.50. Just like the side dishes such as naan bread, are pricey. But really fresh and delicious. The main courses, on the other hand, are priced, as in the average Indian restaurants. Our main courses, Butter Chicken and King Prawn Bhuna, were served with basmati rice. The Butter Chicken is a real flavor explosion in your mouth and the chicken is super tender! The King Prawn Bhuna is okay. The prawns are not super fresh, but certainly not old! The Bhuna tastes a bit Dutchized (if I may put it that way). Delicious, but a bit too sweet and salty. Missing some of the authentic taste. The Basmati rice was also super good. Another tip is to serve a small plate on which to eat the appetizer. All in all, we say, definitely eat!

Waited 40 minutes for a drink, unbelievable

The service and atmosphere are really great. But if you are used to the food of Surya Hilversum then this is a real disappointment. The lassi was extremely salty and I didn't drink it. And the Kulfi had a huge amount of coconut in it and I didn't eat that either. The meat dishes were also less.

The food is delicious and meets all expectations. Small but cozy place where you don't have to sit tight. The staff was noticeably new, but that wasn't disturbing. We will definitely come back here!

Excellent food. Highly recommend the chicken wings, samosa for starters. Butter chicken, lamb keema mutter, vegetable balti were all good but the surprise hit was the Dal Makhani - Highly recommended. Parking is available on the same street or by the AH parking lot nearby.

Lekker eten maar prijzen zij erg hoog voor wat je krijgt. Kleine porties.

Mooi restaurant. Eten op prima niveau. Veel heerlijke drankjes. Vriendelijke en attente bediening. Jammer: in de loop van de avond werd het wat frisjes.

Zaakje ziet er leuk uit. De tafels aan het raam zijn het leuks en daarna de tafels links als je binnen komt. Het eten is prima . De service was zeer vriendelijk.

Hoi, Ik zou Surya Bodegraven 3,5 ster geven voor het geheel. Restaurant is mooi ingericht en de sfeer is erg prettig. Minpunt, hoge tafel in het midden van het restaurant voel je de ventilatie en kan het dus wat frisjes zijn. Gerechten waren goed op smaak. Butternaan en cheese nan , beide waren lekker. Minpunt, Tandoori kip had een nasmaak, wat we niet gewend zijn.

Vandaag heerlijk gegeten bij Surya in Bodegraven. Het is een heel mooi en chique ingericht restaurant. Luxe uitstraling, anders dan de doorsnee Indiaanse restaurant dat je gewend bent. Bij binnenkomst wordt je jas aangenomen en opgehangenz Er is aandacht besteed aan detail. het bestek heel erg mooi en verzorgd. Uitgebreide menu kaart. Ook een aantal fusion gerechten. Behalve Indiaase eten hebben ze ook 1 bladzijde gewijd aan eten uit Nepal! De portie waren precies goed, niet overdreven groot maar ook niet klein. Qua smaak echt lekker, lekker gekruid, niet overheersend. het eten smaakte echt lekker. Er zijn voldoende tafels met goeie stoelen en tegen muur zit je aan een lange bank met kussens. Ook geschikt voor grote groep, dat kunnen ze faciliteren. Bediening en de eigenaar zijn zeer vriendelijk en attent. Bediening spreekt vloeiend nederlands. Dus ook geen probleem met het bestellen. De wc was ook schoon en had zelfs handdoekjes met logo bedrukt netjes opgevouwen. nice 👌👌 Ik kom zeker nog een keer terug! Een aanrader om hier te komen eten. Ja kan parkeren voor de deur aan de straat.

We hebben hier voor het eerst gegeten. Het was heerlijk. Vriendelijke bediening en een fijne sfeer.

Zeer lekker eten, eindelijk een plek waar pittig echt pittig is, en smaak nooit tekort komt. Ook de hoeveelheden zijn heel vrijgevig, zeker aan te raden!

Nice food, good atmosphere, but like every restaurant in the Netherlands, too expensive for what you get. Indian food is the cheapest food, but not in the Netherlands...

I ordered food from this restaurant online and picked it up 30 minutes later. Staff was really friendly. I really liked the food, tasty, enough (not a too big portion). What I really liked was that you get a free small dish when you order more then (i thought) €20,00. This is something I liked, cause so you can taste things you maybe normally won’t order. I highly recommend to try it!

Heerlijk gegeten met fantastische, zeer smaakvolle gerechten. Het restaurant zelf is heel sfeervol. De bediening is goed en vriendelijk. We zijn er al een paar keer geweest en gaan zeker weer terug.

Sehr nettes Restaurant, hätten gerne auch einmal vor Ort gespeist, aber waren mit Baby unterwegs, sodass wir bestellt und abgeholt haben. Die Qualität der Speisen hat uns aber so gut gefallen, dass wir gleich an zwei Abenden hintereinander dort bestellt haben. Probiert haben wir Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, Veggie Korma und Dal Makhni - alle Gerichte waren ausgesprochen lecker!

Werkafspraak gehad. Kwaliteit vlees en kruiden absolute topklasse! Rustig gezeten. Goede zaken kunnen doen. Communicatief en uiterst vriendelijke bediening. En nee…ik heb geen aandelen in het bedrijf.

Alsof je in een oase zit, heerlijk eten, prachtig ingericht en hele vriendelijke eigenaar en bediening. We gaan er zeker vaker heen!

Super leuk, vriendelijk personeel, en de ijsfontein voor ons 13 jarige huwelijk, was ook Top! Zag er binnen ook schoon en netjes uit.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The atmosphere is great, the service is friendly and professional, and the food....so incredibly delicious 😋

Vandaag voor het eerst dit restaurant bezocht. Bij binnenkomst wordt je vriendelijk ontvangen en het eerste wat me opvalt is de rustige en relaxte sfeer in het restaurant. Het restaurant is zeer fraai ingericht. De menukaart was uitgebreid en je kan tevens lekkere cocktails drinken. We hebben gekozen voor voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht en dat was gewoonweg genieten. Hou je van wat pittig eten, dan zit je hier zeker goed. Let op: er zijn ook mindere pittige gerechten, dus voor iedereen is er wel wat. Ze noemen het zelf een unieke diner ervaring en daar ben ik het mee eens.

Meerdere keren eten mogen bestellen. Erg lekker en tevreden. De wachttijd is ook nooit lang. Voor ons een van de favorieten in Bodegraven.

Wederom een super avond gehad met heerlijke gerechten. De aankleding en sfeer is top. De aandacht voor details en ook voor de hygiene is klasse. Last but not least: de dames in de bediening zijn absolute klasse.

Love love love the food! Het is stevig aan de prijs, maar zeker waard voor zo nu en dan. Veel vegetarische en veganistische opties en veel niet vegan gerechten passen ze voor je aan indien je dat wilt. Samosa’s als voorgerecht zijn een absolute must!
