Sweets & Spices in Feijenoord

Four dishes, two naan dishes, rice, salad, and dessert for 60 euros. It was enough to enjoy again tomorrow, and we found everything delicious. It was delivered within 30 minutes. Fantastic!

We ordered 2 Indian starters. Both were astronomically far from the Indian food they were labelled as. I ordered samosa chat, which was nothing but undercooked samosas submerged in yogurt and sauce, end result was sour mush. My friend ordered the tandoori chicken, which was very hard and oily. He felt they were reheated and served. I think the owners themselves won’t eat the food we were served today.

Disappointed. We ordered on a Sunday evening and the food took 2 hours to arrive. Called twice—both times we were told it would be there in 10 minutes. It wasn’t. For 3 dishes and naan, the price was on the higher side especially considering the small portions, and unfortunately, the flavors were underwhelming—very mild, nothing memorable. Maybe it was an off night, but we won’t be ordering again.

There is really nothing to complain about the food, it is really tasty and fresh. Only the delivery people are often really rude. If they cannot find the address or they have to walk a little too far, you will immediately get an angry look or a reaction from the delivery person. That prevents me from ordering here. Edit 2024 portions are getting smaller, while prices are going up.

Ordered the Tikka Masala with Naan. The Tikka Masala was bright red and incredibly sweet. (You could indicate how sweet/spicy you wanted your dish. I asked for less sweet, but my dish was extremely sugary.) I had 2-3 bites and then binned it. Did not like the Naan. The taste and texture were not quite right. I threw most of it away.

I was looking forward to an evening with delicious food from you. This time I ordered the tandoori king prawns for €15.50. I was super disappointed, first of all these are not king prawns but you can buy 1kg of these shrimps for €15. Secondly, I only got 6 shrimp, that's over $2.60 per shrimp!! The samosa and shrimp were also super salty. I find this really ridiculous and a waste of my money. The last time for us. If you call something king prawns, you expect king prawns. Shame.

Do not judge a book by its cover. We dined-in, and it's clear that they mostly deliver food via Uber eats or something. The place is simple, no impressive decoration or anything like that, however, the food is just delicious. As a big plus, even though they are not used to having people dining-in, they did everything to make us feel comfortable. The dishes presentation was on point. Therefore, regardless of where you decide to have meals from Sweet & Spices, either dining-in or at home, I strongly recommend it.

What a rotten company, my food was rubbish and never came and I decided to call (after having waited an hour, because that is the waiting time.) I spoke to the owner and could not speak normal Dutch or English. In the end I was allowed to eat for free on the spot. That was impossible, because hardly anyone spoke normal Dutch and the employees were just shouting at each other. And to top it off, I had stomach cramps when I got home. So I ended up spending €50 and my hours on nothing. Thank you Sweets & Spices.👍

Good food, but I find it pricey. 2 containers with meat and 1 with spinach, plus rice and naan is already 50 euros. I think the portions are too meager for that amount. A few pieces of meat, not enough for 2 people in my opinion. Had to wait an extra 20 minutes.

Not Pakistani-Indian at all. The cook serves chicken in custard,as chicken korma.Sweet as kheer. May God help these cooks 😁😁

Ordered via UberEats. Food only arrived after 100 minutes, rice forgotten, naan bread burnt, food already cooled. When I called them, they allowed me to send a little bit for the rice. When I sent €5, they thought it was too much and it should be €3.85. They did not respond to the fact that the delivery was very late, the naan bread was burnt and the food had cooled down. Once but never again. So don't order here, there are plenty of Indian restaurants in Rotterdam with good service ;)

Samousa besteld! Was lekker en niet vettig. Tevens was eigenaresse vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Vandaag Samosa Kip, Lams Biryani en Daal Tadka besteld. De gerechten waren vers, lekker gekruid en voldoende pikant. De porties zijn groot. Alles prima en ik zal hier snel weer bestellen.

Ik zou deze plek niet aanraden voor een bestelling. De kip kebab was lekker gekruid en smaakvol, echter daar blijft het bij. De chicken vindaloo was absoluut niet pittig en milder nog dan de kebab. Het smaakt naar tomatensaus zonder kruiden. Ook de samosa heeft niet de herkenbare smaak en de biryani is matig. Over het algemeen geen aanrader en met name de curry was een teleurstelling.

Ik vind het echt super, vooral de tikka masala extra zoet en de naan met knoflook en kaas.

Super lekker eten en ruime porties!

Heerlijk eten gewoon. De chicken tikka biryani alleen al is de beste van heel R'dam zuid. De naan rolls ook heerlijk. Dit is mijn vaste Indiase restaurant/afhaalplek geworden. Zowel afhalen als bezorgen nooit problemen mee gehad en het eten smaakt altijd perfect.

Ik had vroeger op zuid gewoond dus het was makkelijk te vinden. Wat is Rotterdam Zuid (en Beijerlandselaan) toch veranderd. Wij hadden afgehaald. Er was rekening gehouden met onze wensen. Het eten kon naar onze surinaamse smaak beter. Ik weet dat er in Indiaas eten veel soorten kruiden en specerijen worden gebruikt maar dat kon ik er echt niet uithalen. Misschien omdat er te veel saus bij het vlees was. Want vijf stukjes vlees in een bak met saus is echt te weinig voor één portie. Naan rijst of pilav moet je apart nemen. Dit was echt te weinig. Jammer. Samosas ook te klein voor het bedrag wat je er voor moet neertellen. Eten de mensen uit die regio echt nou zo weinig? Jammer. Ik ga maar eens kijken voor een paar goede recepten.

Heerlijk eten waar je duidelijk alle smaken en specerijen proeft en vooral gastvriendelijk! Een aanrader voor vaker!

Telefonisch bestelling geplaatst, kwam meteen thuis aan. Ik heb gevraagd voor extra kip, het is heel veel en het heeft zo goed gesmaakt dat, ik nu tijdens mijn eten een review moest plaatsten!! Topper!

Veel Indiase restaurants geprobeerd in Rotterdam en omstreken maar deze overtreft alles. De Butterchicken is heel lekker. Had de lightversie, minder pittig. Zacht en botersmaak. Een aanrader net als de Garlic naan. Ga zeker weer bestellen.

Lekker eten en een supper snelle bezorging! Wij bestellen hier regelmatig eten, en altijd tevreden. Als je speciale wensen hebt kan je dat aangeven, en houden ze daar rekening mee. Vriendelijk personeel die je graag te woord staat. Wij hebben laatst nog een wat grotere bestelling geplaatst en tot aan de puntjes was alles goed verzorgd. Lekker gekruid eten ( op aanvraag ). En het mooie was dat ze precies op tijd waren! Goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Netjes hoe jullie omgaan met je klanten! Respect! Ga zo door.

Lamb vindaloo met garlic cheese naan besteld. Smaakte vers, pittig en was goed gekruid. Daarnaast grote porties, wat ook een pluspunt is voor de grote eter. De naan was lekker en zacht, maar volgend keer neem ik toch de gewone garlic naan. Voor de tweede keer besteld en zeker niet voor het laatst. Aanrader voor goed Indiaas eten.

Echt super lekker! Waar voor je geld! Mijn nieuwe favoriete restaurant waar ik graag bestel. Heerlijk.

Twee keer besteld. De samosas en curry's zijn heerlijk! De porties zijn groot. Wij hebben de lam vindaloo, chicken vindaloo, lam palak en de butter lam gegeten met naan en rijst. Echt comfort food. De pakora is ook goed. Hier zullen we blijven bestellen :)
